How to take a screenshot on a Windows 7 computer and where to find it

This is the simplest way, but not the easiest. The advantage of it is that it is always at hand, there is no need to download or use special programs. The downside is that in addition to the fact that you need to press a button on the keyboard, you will need a number of other actions to get a screenshot of the screen and find it.

Now to the point. If you need to take a screenshot of the screen on a Windows 7 computer (Windows 7), you will first need one action, or rather a button - the “PrtSc” key ( Print Screen) or “Psc”, or “PrtnScn”, depending on what type of keyboard you have.

If you don’t find it, if there is no “print screen” button, don’t despair, use an electronic keyboard. This is not a problem - press “Win” + “U” at the same time. Jumps out standard window Windows, select "keyboard" and turn on " electronic keyboard».

Where can I find the screenshot I took and where is it saved?

By default, after you take a screenshot of the screen on your computer, Windows saves it to the clipboard. Do not try to find the screen yourself and do not find out where it is saved - just know that your “snapshot” is already in the computer’s memory.

Instructions on how to take a screenshot on a computer using a standard Windows program

  1. Press the “print screen” button when found the desired picture. It is usually located on the right top corner at "F12".

If you want to edit the resulting image: crop it or make changes (text, for example), then this is easy to do in “Paint”.

Be aware that when you combine the “PrtSc” (Print Screen) and “Alt” buttons, the system will only save to the clipboard active window, not the entire image of the monitor - but part of it. These are the usual Windows dialog boxes or similar ones: like the “Are you sure you're going to delete all the images?” warnings when you empty the Trash folder.

Learning to take a screenshot from the screen

Good afternoon, dear readers! In this simple article, I will tell you how to take a screenshot of a website screen and page. We will look at an online service that allows you to make a high-quality screenshot of a website. We will also analyze all sorts of ways creating a screenshot, either using the keyboard or additional programs. I think you will find this useful. Everyone has different goals.

Personally, I used this opportunity when I set up to sell banners on my blog. There you had to install your own picture with advertising spaces for clarity. So that the advertiser can see exactly where (in what place) he orders advertising on my blog. You can see how I did it (I finished the screenshot in Photoshop) on.

Article topics:

So, we figured out why we need a screenshot. Now let's move on to its creation. The first method we will consider is using the keyboard.

Taking a screenshot using “Print Screen”

I hope you have a keyboard! Taking a screenshot is very simple. It doesn't matter what kind of keyboard you have, the principle of operation is the same, so don't worry.

Using the keyboard, you can take a screenshot of only the part that fits in the resolution of your monitor. In other words, what you see on the monitor screen is what ends up in the photo. This picture can be edited later.

To take a screenshot on your keyboard, press the “PrtSc” key. This key is located after the “F1-F12” keys, in the top horizontal position. Adjust your screen so that the part that should appear in the screenshot is visible.

Personally, I will take a screenshot of my screen at the time of writing. Here's what I got.

I, of course, reduced the image for clarity. You should have what you photographed on the screen. But this is only part of the process. Now how can we get this screenshot from this button and turn it into an image in the “JPG” or “PNG” format?

It's quite simple! The old one comes to our aid good program"Paint". You should have it if you use Windows. This is a program from the “standard” set. To open the Paint program, do next steps: “Start” - “All Programs” - “Accessories” - “Paint”. Launch the application.

A program window will open in which we need to place the captured monitor space. To do this, you can go in two ways: hot keys and using the program menu. Let's consider both options.

After launching the program, you can instantly insert an image by pressing the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+V”. The image will be automatically placed in the program work area.

The second way to add an image to the program is through the insert menu. This button is located in the upper left corner and is available immediately after starting the program.

By analogy, your captured image will be added to the program, and you will be able to perform the necessary manipulations with it: crop, add text, reduce size, etc.

This was the first method that helped us take a screenshot of the monitor area. In this area, a browser with the page you need can be loaded. Therefore, you can safely take a screenshot of a website page, but not the entire page, but a separate part.

Use scissors to take a screenshot

Another simple way to take a screenshot and, in my opinion, more convenient than the previous one, is to use “Scissors”, which have been added to the set of standard Windows programs 7.

Launching the program will instantly launch the application and screenshot mode. But not the entire screen, but any part of it that you deem necessary.

Just left-click on one point of the screen and, without releasing, move to another. This is what happened to me.

I captured part of the screen where the browser was open and saved this fragment in JPEG format. Also, after launching, you can click on the “Cancel” button and cancel the instant creation of a screenshot. This is necessary so that you can adjust the screen before taking the photo.

Also, after cancellation or while the program is running, you have several options for creating a screenshot: free-form, rectangle, window and entire screen. Experiment with these modes and choose the one that suits you best.

After you have taken a screenshot, a window will open in front of you in which you can perform some manipulations on the image: you can draw something with a pen, a marker, and also erase all your creativity with an eraser. There is also a mode for highlighting text with a marker, this is very convenient and sometimes necessary. You can also save the image by clicking on the floppy disk icon.

These are the two simple and uncomplicated methods we considered. These methods are standard, and you shouldn’t have any problems mastering them, but if you have any questions, write in the comments.

Program for screenshots from the screen “Joxi”

Another very convenient program for creating screenshots is “Joxi”. I have been using this program for a long time. My colleague Belan Konstantin recommended her to me (he wrote about her in one of his posts). And I really liked her. Now I will tell you about it with great pleasure.

Of course, this program will not allow you to take a screenshot of the entire website page from top to bottom ( you can do it, read about it below). It works on the same principle as Scissors, but it has a lot of nice and useful tips, which we will consider next.

You can download “Joxi” on the program’s official website. The program is distributed in free access, but there is also paid subscription. Find the program, install it and run it.

After starting the program, you will get the impression that nothing happened and the program does not work. But these are not like that. It has launched and is available in the system tray. The system tray is located in the Start menu bar, in the right corner where the clock is located.

If you left-click on this icon, your screen will darken and Joxi will go into screenshot mode. All you have to do is select the area you want to display in the screenshot image. By analogy as with “Scissors”.

We also stretch from one edge to the other without releasing the mouse. Also, to help you, the size of the created area is signed. I have highlighted it with a red line. After you select a part of the screen, the image editing panel will be available to you.

You can move the selected area, edit its size, adjust something, after taking a screenshot, because initially the screen is not captured, but only the marking of the capture area. This allows editing.

Also, draw with a pencil, draw lines, arrows (I have them on some screenshots), which allow you to make the screenshot a little more convenient. Using arrows you can point to key points in the image.

You can also write text, draw circles, rectangles, darken or blur part of the screen, change the color of text and all elements, and also put numbered markers. You may have seen them in some of the images of my blog articles. These are red circles with numbers.

After all the actions and making a decision about the final editing of the image, you need to save it. The drawing is saved in three modes: you can copy this screenshot and paste it into some program, for example “Paint” or “Photoshop”, you can save the screenshot to your computer, or you can publish it on the “Joxi” server. Personally, I always use the second option - saving the image to my computer.

I marked with arrows for you what you need to select when a fragment of the image is ready. I also arranged the order of actions. First, click on the small triangle on the blue button to open a menu with a choice of saving mode, and only then select “Save” or press the key combination “Ctrl + S”.

Joxi has a little quirk when saving screenshots. If, when saving to your computer, you specify a name for your screenshot and do not specify its extension, then the screenshot will be saved haphazardly and you will not be able to open it.

Now I will show you an example of correct saving, so that there are no errors on your part and you can view the resulting image.

If you are saving a screenshot for uploading to a website or blog, then you need to name the file in Latin, separated by a dash, and be sure to add either “.JPG” or “.PNG” at the end of the name, otherwise your file simply will not open! Don’t forget about this, even if you write your name in Russian, you still need to indicate the extension at the end of the name!

Let's move on to the program settings. Initially there are slightly incorrect settings that do not allow us to do high-quality screenshot. Let's correct them and set up the program for ourselves to make it more convenient to use.

In the system tray, right-click on the bird icon to open a menu like this. We are interested in the Settings item. I highlighted it in green.

After launching the settings window, you will need to check some boxes, which I marked with a green marker, and those that are red, they need to be removed so that they are not useful. Set up your "Joxi" as shown in the image below. Click the "Apply" button.

I hope there won't be any problems with this. Go through the rest of the bookmarks. If you are not authorized on the server, you can register and log in. Sometimes you need to upload screenshots to the server and provide only a link to the picture.

How to take a screenshot of an entire website page using Joxi?

Now it's time to talk about how to take a screenshot of a website page as a whole, or just a fragment. The developers of the Joxi program are far from stupid people, and the program is not a standard one. Therefore, they know what the modern Internet user needs.

Many people run their own blogs, websites, forums, myself included. And some authors need to take a screenshot of the entire site page. I had such a need, but I did not use this method. Because I didn't know about him. And now I’m telling you.

In order to take a screenshot of a page on the Internet, you need to install a special extension (plugin) in your browser. A browser is a must Google Chrome. Because the Joxi developers wrote a plugin specifically for this browser. So, if you have Google Chrome, then follow this link: " Install the Joxi plugin" The official news about the release of the expansion on the official website was released on July 31, 2014 “read here”

Once you are on the page, click on the “Free” button. A window will open in front of you in which you will need to click on the “Add” button. This way you confirm that you want to install this extension for your browser.

That's it, the extension is added. You can close the page. Now there is very little left: set up the program and learn how to take pictures. Everything is simple there. While you were reading my article, you probably already learned how to take screenshots of website pages. But I’ll tell you everything.

After adding the extension, it is available in the window Google browser Chrome, immediately after address bar. There will be an image in the form of a square with a bird.

In order to take a screenshot of a site page, you must first go to the desired site, and then left-click on this icon so that the screenshot options appear: a fragment of the page or the entire page. I'll take a quick snapshot of my blog page.

To do this, I will select the “Page Fragment” mode and being on home page for my blog, I’ll simply drag the selection from top to bottom, holding down the left mouse button.

By the way, I would like to note that when you remove a separate fragment of a website page, you do not necessarily have to scroll the page to the desired location. The scrolling function works in this mode, i.e. You can use the mouse wheel to move down or up the page.

Once you've selected the area you want, Joxi will open an additional browser tab so you can start editing and saving the image. That's all for working with the Joxi program. If I haven’t told or explained something, then when choosing a program and working with it, understanding will come to you very quickly, just as it came to me.

We create a screenshot of a page using the online service “SSmaker”

Online services are much easier to use than programs. Why? They do not require installation, a screenshot is taken just as quickly, you save it to your computer, and only the image takes up space on your hard drive.

And absolutely all such services can take a screenshot of a website, unlike some programs that humanly cannot take a screenshot from the screen. I will introduce you to one such service that I liked within the framework of this article.

The service is called "SSmaker". It is located at SSmaker.ru. Go to the site and continue reading the article, I will tell you how to use the service.

After going to the site, you will see a page with an online service that allows you to take a screenshot. I have on this moment he looks like this.

Everything is quite simple here. Instead of the Yandex address, enter the address of your site for which you are taking a screenshot, but do not rush to click the “Create” button. You still need to make some settings, otherwise the screenshot may not work.

Just below the site address line, there are parameters that are set for the future image. In order for you to be able to take a screenshot of the entire site page, you need to click on the “Fit to site height” button. And then the entire page will fall within the range of the image.

To add to the settings, select the image saving mode. This is done below. There are two options in "JPEG" or "PNG" format. And also set the width of your screenshot. I don't think you'll need a screenshot larger than 1024 wide. But if so, then do not overdo it with this parameter.

Now you can safely click the “Create” button. You will be shown the resulting image itself, as well as links for different social networks and chats. You can use them if necessary.

How to take a screenshot using Fast Stone Capture?

Another quite entertaining program for creating a screenshot " Fast Stone Capture". I found her through search engine, installed it on your computer and launched it. I recommend you do the same.

Is not free program, and when you start it will notify you that you are using the program in the “Trial version” mode, evaluation version. You can purchase the program for only $19.95 and enter the registration key. I won't do this, I'll use the trial version. Click the “Continue Trial” button.

After starting the program, somewhere in the desktop area you can find such a control panel for creating a screenshot.

The interface looks a little old and this is a little annoying for me personally, what about you? But we will continue testing this simple program. The abundance of different tools in this program shocked me.

There are so many of them and they are all in English that I already wanted not to continue reviewing the possibilities of “Fast Stone”, but after understanding them a little, I realized that everything is quite simple. But I will not consider all the possibilities and tools within the framework of this article. I’ll just tell you how to take a screenshot using “Fast Stone”.

Initially, the small image control panel has 9 black and white buttons, arranged horizontally. I accidentally added button 10, responsible for the linear cursor. We won't need it.

So, first button opens or creates as a folder new project V special application, or rather in the “Fast Stone” program itself. Second button takes a snapshot of the active window at the moment; if you have a folder open and it is active, the program will take a snapshot of only this folder, sometimes this is convenient.

Third button creates a snapshot of an element of the active application window or folder, but does not affect other areas that are not needed in the image. Sometimes it’s convenient to use, but sometimes it makes no sense, because the program cannot distinguish between the elements of the application window that we need.

We have looked at these three buttons, now, so that you do not get confused, we continue to look at the rest. Fourth button allows you to take a screenshot using a rectangular selection of any shape.

Fifth button allows you to select an arbitrary area for creating a screenshot, which is within the resolution of your monitor.

Sixth button takes a screenshot of the entire screen ( Full Screen), and also after the photo opens it in full program for further processing. Seventh button, the most interesting, it will help us take a screenshot of the entire site page!

How does it work? You open any page on the Internet, click on this button, and it automatically starts scrolling down your page and gradually creates a general snapshot. You can press the Esc key at any time to stop taking the photo. And what we were able to capture will be shown in the program.

Eighth button allows you to take a photo of a specific region that is included in a given pixel range. To set the desired range, press the "F2" key. A settings window will open. The default is 400 by 300 pixels.

The ninth button is simply a masterpiece. She can record video. Well, let's see. There are several screencast video recording modes:

  • as a Windows object
  • free rectangular shape
  • desktop only, no start menu
  • Full Screen

The program also has the ability to record audio. In theory, you can create full-fledged video tutorials. It's hard to believe, of course. But I tried it anyway, and this is what happened.

Well, it's not bad at all! The result impressed me. The video is saved in WMV format. This format is readable on any Windows computer. This video weighs 3.65 MB. Duration 27 seconds. Not much and not little. The quality is good for quick videos.

To demonstrate how the program works, I will take a test screenshot of an arbitrary rectangular area of the screen, and “mock” the screenshot a little in the program while editing. And I'll take a photo of a beautiful girl.

So what can we do with a screenshot in Fast Stone? Let's figure it out. Initially, after entering the image into the program, a full-fledged window will open in front of you, in which a horizontal me, with an abundance of various buttons (tools), immediately catches your eye.

Now let's take a brief look at each standard button:

  • Open project (Open)
  • Save As
  • Selection tools (Rectangle...etc.)
  • Zoom In
  • Zoom Out
  • Scale in percentage (Default 100%)

Button ""Draw" opens internal application, such as "MS Paint". In it you can fill in some missing elements, for example a mustache with a pencil, or big ears, in general, use your imagination and act.

There are almost the same tools here as in Paint, but each tool has special settings, and drawing is slightly different from drawing in Paint.

Next button "Caption"- description. Adds date, time and text to the top of the image on a white background with a red frame. Why this is needed, I still don’t understand, it’s probably not given. But still, this function is here, and this is what happens.

The most, in my opinion, useful button, for me personally, as a blogger, button "Edge". It makes our photo extraordinary by emulating a torn piece of paper. Try experimenting with this tool and see what you end up with. And this is what happened to me.

Play with the settings and you will get exactly the same result, maybe even better. In any case, it looks much more creative than a simple screenshot. You can also upload a watermark like mine in the bottom right corner.

This is where I finish working with this program, and move on to a review of another program that will help us take a screenshot.

Taking a screenshot using WinShap (Trial Version)

This is generally very simple program, I won’t talk much about it, I’ll tell you how it works and how you can create a screenshot. It has a small disadvantage: cannot take screenshots of website pages! Well, or at least I didn’t have enough power to run it in screenshot mode of a web page.

You can find this program freely available on the Internet. Download it, install it on your computer and run it.

By the way, immediately after launch, the program will automatically take a screenshot of your desktop. So don't be scared!

By the way, about free stuff. The program is not free at all, and upon first launch it will require you to enter serial number. To which you will react by clicking on the “Continue” button. The program will start working.

After launch, a very attractive and cute interface will appear in front of you, although it’s a little poor, but it does the job easy program in development and application. I have already drawn a little, added all sorts of arrows to the screenshot.

As you may have noticed, the drawing panel is at the very bottom work area programs. Almost the same tools are available there as in Joxi. The arrows are a little narrower here.

The program can work in several modes, like its predecessors: take a screenshot full screen, or a separate part, an active window or an element of an active window, and there’s something else that didn’t work for me! Let's figure out how to take a screenshot in all these modes.

To the right of the image itself is the image control panel, where there is a button to start taking a screenshot, as well as a choice of the very modes that I talked about. You can set a Shadow for the image, add a Reflection, add an Outline, put a Watermark and change the Colorize mode: sepia, negative, black and white, etc.

By clicking on this button you can take a screenshot. But before you do it, you need to select the screenshot mode. You may not need to take a screenshot of the entire screen, just a portion of it. Then the “Region” mode is suitable for us; you can select it from the drop-down list, just below the button itself.

So, by analogy, practice with other modes. After saving the photo, if you use free version, and did not enter the serial number, or did not “crack” the program, then you will have all sorts of cells on the screenshot with the inscription “TRIAL VERSION”. Therefore, be careful when choosing a program to create a screenshot of a website page or desktop.

That's all for me. I am completing a review of programs that help me take beautiful screenshots. Now you know how to take a screenshot and are fully armed!

Hello friends! It would seem that it’s easier than taking a screenshot on a computer? But it turns out that many people don’t know what a screenshot is, or they take it not quite right and in a convenient way. This article will talk about how to take a screenshot on a computer.

There are plenty of ways to take screenshots. For this purpose, you can use your native keyboard or using third-party programs.

A screenshot is an image of a monitor screen in the form of a picture that shows exactly what the user sees on the screen of their computer or phone.

As I noted above, there are many ways to take screenshots. After reading the article to the end, you will learn:

How to take a screenshot of a page

The easiest way to take a screenshot of a page on a computer using OS Windows is the Print Screen key. You just need to press this key, and the picture will be saved to the clipboard, then paste the screenshot into Paint or regular Word document.

The above method works with everyone Windows versions. Other hotkeys work for Mac OS X; you can view them in the settings in the System Preferences directory -> Keyboard & Mouse -> Keyboard Shortcuts.

Another way to take a screenshot of a page is possible using third-party programs, and this is the method I currently use. There are many such programs, everyone has their own favorites.

The advantage of third-party programs over the standard Print Screen key is that you do not need to make unnecessary movements; you can immediately select the area that needs to be photographed, enter text into the image and add arrows.

I use LightShot screenshot software. It contains all the features described above - a snapshot of the selected area, quick editing images, the ability to share the image in popular social networks. networks, including VKontakte. The only negative that, in my opinion, is present in this program is the impossibility of creating a screenshot of the entire site. That is, you can photograph only what is visible on the monitor screen without scrolling the slider, which I often miss.

How to take a screenshot of the entire site

Sometimes you may need to take a screenshot of the entire site, rather than just a visible part of the page. For example, I posted this screenshot on the page where I show the location of the places under advertising banners that you can buy.

Various online services and programs will help you take such a screenshot. Here are a few online services, where you can take a screenshot of the entire web pages:

fast service create screenshots online. Just enter the website page address:

And then download the created screenshot to your computer.

Another good service is . It is possible to select the size of the future screenshot from standard sizes screen. It works quite quickly, and most importantly, when installed in the settings small size, the service does not simply reduce the image to the specified one, but rather photographs the site as it is visible to the average user.

That is, if you have a mobile version or responsive template, and in the settings specify a width of 320 pixels, then you will receive a screenshot mobile version site.

If the key combination Alt+PrtScr does not work for you, then find the Fn key (next to Alt) and combine Fn+PrtScr. This often happens on a laptop, where the keyboard is small and does not have a digital block.

You can be on any site at this time, or just in Word program or another program, or play a game and press these key combinations to take a screenshot.

At the same time, we would like to note that you will not see any information that the keys worked. In order to understand that the screen has been made, you need to go to step 2.

Stage 2: insert the taken photo into the graphic editor

After we have completed the first stage, we launch the standard Paint program, which is available on any Windows OS:

And then simply press the key combination “Ctrl + V” in the program window

The screenshot will be pasted into the program from the clipboard. Now you just need to top menu select “Save”, or press the key combination “Ctrl+S” and select a location on your computer to save in any of the available formats: jpg, png, gif.

If you wish, you can reduce the size of the image, stretch or shrink it.

Taking a screenshot of a page in Windows 7 using scissors

If you have an operating room Windows system 7, then you can do without the keys described in the previous section and without all kinds of inserts.

You just need to run the standard and very convenient program called “Snipping Tool”.

You can find it in the Start menu. If you don’t see it there, then use the search, just like we searched for Paint.

Immediately when the program starts, the cursor will change to a cross. By holding down the right mouse button, you can select the desired area of the screen, release the button and a screenshot will be automatically taken.

This mode is called "Rectangle". It's the default. But you can select other options from the drop-down menu: “free form”, “window”, “full screen”.

After the screenshot is taken, save it to your computer using the “Ctrl+S” key combination.

How to take a screenshot of a page

How to take a screenshot of a page is a question as simple as just pressing one key on a computer!

Since I planned to create a series of articles on how to work with images on the blog, it became necessary to write some materials about the basics of working with images. We will talk about the most basic action: creating a screenshot of the page. By the way, the photo below is a screenshot of a web page, creatively processed.

Useful ABC:

Screenshot - from English. "shot", "snapshot".

Taking a screenshot of the page using Paint

You will need: hands and Paint program. You may not know, but you already have it, if you use Windows, it is included in the standard software package by default. I worked with it back in ancient versions of Windows.

Taking a screenshot in Paint.

In the process of creating a website, sooner or later we are faced with the need to learn how to take pictures from the computer screen, which is sometimes necessary for the most different tasks- from creative to communication with technical support.

What is a screenshot?

A screenshot is a snapshot of a computer screen, or rather of what is shown on it. Moreover, the picture is taken on the computer itself. You can take a screenshot of a web page, any photo, program, or even text. Here is an example of a screenshot of text in Word:

I know how to take a screenshot of a page in several ways, but I usually use one. I am not a designer and I have a basic knowledge of Photoshop, since I have worked with texts and my entire life. main program was Word. But a screenshot was sometimes required from time to time. And I did it in a very simple PAINT program, which is available in any Windows. Why I like this program:

  1. It allows you to crop the screenshot.
  2. Resize in pixels or percentages.
  3. Draw something: an arrow, highlight an element with an oval, etc..
  4. Rotate an image from left to right.
  5. Make some kind of inscription.
  6. Erase what is not needed and fill it with any color.

By writing text on the screenshot, you will get a small homemade banner or postcard (if you are interested in how to make a banner that opens in a new window, there is a separate article on this topic, “Banner in a new window”). A screenshot with text looks like this:

If you want to learn how to turn a picture into active link to any page of your blog or third party resource, the article on how to make a picture a link will be useful. Which can also be useful for a blogger.

Today we will learn how to take not only a simple screenshot, but also, as a bonus, with text, which will come in handy more than once in the future, especially if you have your own blog.

Instructions “How to work in the Paint program”
  • 1. How to take a screenshot of a page. To take a screenshot, you need to open the page you want to “photograph” and press a single keyboard button. It is usually located in the very top row and is called Prt Sc ( print Screen). That's it, the frame is taken.
  • 2. Open the Paint program. To do this, go to the START menu - ALL PROGRAMS - STANDARD - PAINT - OPEN. The program will load and the main window will open:

  • 3. Paste the screenshot into the program. In step 1 we saved it - it is in the buffer, now you need to transfer it to any program in order to save it as an image. To do this, you just need to click on the INSERT icon in the upper left corner (highlighted in the picture with a red circle).

  • 4. Save. If you need the entire image (a screenshot of a computer screen), then at this stage you can save the image. Click on the floppy disk icon in the upper left corner (highlighted with a blue circle). A new window will appear:

In the topmost field, specify the path where you save the file.

In the FILE NAME field, enter the name of the screenshot. Preferably in Latin, in English - especially if you are saving a photo or screenshot for a blog. In general, it’s better to immediately get used to saving all files in Latin - it’s more correct. For example, when restoring a blog from a backup, images named in Cyrillic usually disappear. Then you have to manually return each one back. I ignored the rule until the first backup...

In the FILE TYPE field, select an extension. I usually choose JPEG - it weighs less. Finally, click SAVE. And that's it, the screenshot is ready!

How to crop a screenshot

If you need part of the screen, then the screenshot needs to be cropped before saving. Let's return to point 3: insert the screenshot into the program.

Go to the VIEW - ZOOM out tab.

Return to the HOME tab and click on the TRIM button. The cursor will become a crosshair.

Holding left button mouse, select the desired fragment of the screen - the area will be highlighted with a dotted line.

Right-click on the selected fragment. Click COPY.

Now the copied fragment needs to be pasted into a blank document and saved. In the lower picture, this is the area highlighted with a red oval: click on the small white arrow and select CREATE in the drop-down window. Opens Blank sheet. Click on INSERT. The fragment appears in the window. Click SAVE (floppy disk icon) and save as in step 4.

How to put an inscription or text on a screenshot

And the promised bonus. If you need to make some inscription on the screenshot, before saving, go to the menu text editor(in the picture above this is the letter A, highlighted in a blue circle). Then click on the area of the screen where you want to create an inscription and, while holding the left mouse button, select the desired area. A dotted rectangle will appear in which you can write text.

In the red oval: select the font and its size.

Green Oval: Select the font color.

Blue oval: transparent or opaque background below the text.

When the inscription is ready, click anywhere on the screen with the mouse to exit the editor. And save the image as described above. Your card is ready!

Now you know not only how to take a screenshot of a page, but also how to work with Paint program. It is easy, understandable and always at hand. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to take screenshots in a couple of minutes.

There is also a very interesting and also not complicated program for working with images - FastStone Image Viewer, in which you can change and beautifully design photos.

How to take a screenshot of a page or website?

Hello friends! It would seem that it’s easier than taking a screenshot on a computer? But it turns out that many people do not know what a screenshot is, or take it in a not entirely correct and convenient way. This article will talk about how to take a screenshot on a computer.

There are plenty of ways to take screenshots. For this purpose, you can use your native keyboard or using third-party programs.

As I noted above, there are many ways to take screenshots. After reading the article to the end, you will learn:

How to take a screenshot of a page How to take a screenshot of the entire site Where can you take a screenshot online

How to take a screenshot of a page

The easiest way to take a screenshot of a page on a computer using OS Windows is the Print Screen key. You just need to press this key, and the picture will be saved to the clipboard, then paste the screenshot into Paint or regular Word document.

The above method works with all versions of Windows.

It contains all the features described above - a snapshot of the selected area, quick editing of the image, the ability to share the image in popular social networks. networks, including VKontakte.

For example, I posted this screenshot on the “Advertising” page, where I show the location of spaces for advertising banners that can be purchased.

Various online services and programs will help you take such a screenshot. Here are several online services where you can take a screenshot of an entire web page:

Web Screenshots is a fast service for creating screenshots online. Just enter the website page address:

And then download the created screenshot to your computer.

Another good service is screenpage.ru. It is possible to select the size of the future screenshot from standard screen sizes. It works quite quickly, and the most important thing is that when you set the size to small in the settings, the service does not simply reduce the image to the specified size, but rather photographs the site as it is visible to an ordinary user.

That is, if you have a mobile version or a responsive template, and specify a width of 320 pixels in the settings, then you will receive a screenshot of the mobile version of the site.

Where can I take a screenshot online?

If you, like me, regularly take screenshots, then I would recommend installing some kind of screenshot program to save time. If you don’t need frequent screenshots, that’s enough. standard key Print Screen or various online services. You can take a screenshot online here:

Www.s-shot.ru - creates a screenshot of the visible part of the monitor in a matter of seconds. Allows you to select the image size and format. ssmaker.ru is a similar service. Browser window size selection format and form available PNG images or JPEG. browsershots.org - this service designed to check the cross-browser compatibility of the site, while creating screenshots in different browsers and different operating systems. I wrote in more detail about this service here.

Perhaps many have already encountered situations where sites prohibit selecting and copying text from pages, or prohibit saving posted images using the “Save image as...” command, giving a 1x1 pixel GIF file for saving instead of the image you need. Such restrictions can always be circumvented if you know the entire web page.

Most computer users know that screenshots can be easily taken using the “PrintScreen” key. But taking screenshots using the “PrtScr” key is not always convenient. After all, this command creates a screenshot only of what you see on the screen. And web pages, as a rule, have where larger size than one screen.

So, taking a screenshot of a web page with one click is easy if you are a user FireFox browser. It is enough to install a small free add-on to it – “Pearl Crescent Page Saver”.

To install this add-on, go to official page programs:

Don't be scared by the fact that the page is on English language, the program itself is Russified.

Next, find the “Install Page Saver Basic” link, click it and wait for the add-on to load. When prompted by the browser, confirm the installation by clicking the “Install Now” button. After installing the add-on, the browser must be restarted.

When FireFox starts, you will see a new button appear on the toolbar:

You will also find two new items in the context menu - “Screenshot of the visible part of the page...” and “Screenshot of the entire page...”. To call context menu right click (right mouse button) on free space in FireFox and you will see:

The program is ready to work, but it is still better to configure it before use, for your own convenience. Open the program settings as shown in the figure.

In the settings on the “Basic” tab, select the main action for the button; in our example, “Take a screenshot of the entire page” is selected. Here you can also set a keyboard shortcut for quickly executing the command () - place the cursor in the “ field Quick call” and press the desired key combination.

On the “Create a screenshot” tab, you can use variables to set the file name and immediately see how future screenshots will be named. The variables themselves are written here. So that you are not tormented by the question: “ Where can I find screenshots? select the folder where the screenshots will be saved. By default, the Windows user profile folder is set to “Pictures”.

The program settings are made and now the browser is ready to take screenshots. By clicking on a button or a key combination, you will receive an image of part or all of the web page in the .JPG or .PNG format of your choice. Next, you can do with the image everything that your existing photo editor can offer you, or perform text recognition using the appropriate application.
