You can download “Joxi” on the program’s official website. The program is distributed in free access, but there is also paid subscription. Find the program, install it and run it.

After starting the program, you will get the impression that nothing happened and the program does not work. But these are not like that. It has launched and is available in the system tray. The system tray is located in the Start menu bar, in the right corner where the clock is located.

If you left-click on this icon, your screen will darken and Joxi will go into screenshot mode. All you have to do is select the area you want to display in the screenshot image. By analogy as with “Scissors”.

We also stretch from one edge to the other without releasing the mouse. Also, to help you, the size of the created area is signed. I have highlighted it with a red line. After you select a part of the screen, the image editing panel will be available to you.

You can move the selected area, edit its size, adjust something, after taking a screenshot, because initially the screen is not captured, but only the marking of the capture area. This allows editing.

Also, draw with a pencil, draw lines, arrows (I have them on some screenshots), which allow you to make the screenshot a little more convenient. Using arrows you can point to key points in the image.

You can also write text, draw circles, rectangles, darken or blur part of the screen, change the color of text and all elements, and also put numbered markers. You may have seen them in some of the images of my blog articles. These are red circles with numbers.

After all the actions and making a decision about the final editing of the image, you need to save it. The drawing is saved in three modes: you can copy this screenshot and paste it into some program, for example “Paint” or “Photoshop”, you can save the screenshot to your computer, or you can publish it on the “Joxi” server. Personally, I always use the second option - saving the image to my computer.

I marked with arrows for you what you need to select when a fragment of the image is ready. I also arranged the order of actions. First, click on the small triangle on the blue button to open a menu with a choice of saving mode, and only then select “Save” or press the key combination “Ctrl + S”.

Joxi has a little quirk when saving screenshots. If, when saving to your computer, you specify a name for your screenshot and do not specify its extension, then the screenshot will be saved haphazardly and you will not be able to open it.
