Hi all!

When our Acer laptop I started to slowly but surely drop the loose ends, my husband and I were seriously thinking about buying a tablet. And combining business with pleasure, we decided to give ourselves, our loved ones, this device for the New Year 2016.

I was initially set on something completely budget-friendly and modest, so that the family budget would not suffer, but my husband had a different opinion. He generally adheres to the view that you need to buy high-quality equipment, so that it will serve for more than one year and be “stuffed” with good hardware.

WHY LENOVO TAB 2 A10-70L

Long before the joyless old age approached our laptop, my husband said more than once that in the future, when we decide to buy a tablet, we will take LENOVO. Like, this one trademark Now the quality is good and the price is reasonable.

Before purchasing, by the way, the spouse usually devotes a lot of time to reading reviews about equipment and viewing large quantities video reviews of this or that product. This is how he approached the choice of a washing vacuum cleaner and a smartphone as a gift for me. I “went” the same way when choosing a tablet.

Based on the above, we can conclude that of all those available on the market in its price category Tablets my husband chose the most worthy one.

Place of purchase "Citylink" equipment store-warehouse

Price during the New Year's promotion period 15,490 rubles (out of promotion 17,990 rubles)

Usage time 2 months

DESCRIPTION

Here I will simply copy the description of this model from the official website (formatted as a quote), leave my comments and give a personal assessment of the manufacturer’s words.

Clear and bright image

The ten-inch widescreen Full HD IPS display of the TAB 2 A10 70 tablet (1920 x 1200) differs from other displays in its increased viewing area and the highest quality video playback.

This is true. The image is very bright and clear. Color rendition is bomb. And the screen is big. Initially, it was precisely because of the presence of a ten-inch display that we preferred this model. We wanted to be able to watch videos and play games without a magnifying glass.

Immersive Audio

The multi-speaker soundbar with Dolby Atmos® Cinematic Moving Audio delivers stunning, immersive sound that immerses you in the action. If we add a Full HD display here, then tablet TAB 2 The A10 70 becomes the ideal device for gaming and multimedia entertainment.

Well, sort of. The sound coming from the speakers is quite convincing. The tablet screams well, there seems to be an effect of presence ☺.

Powerful processor

The TAB 2 A10 70 tablet is different highest performance thanks to the powerful 64-bit quad-core processor.

It's difficult for me to say anything about this. The tablet is quite fast, but stutters were also noticed with it 😔.

Long time battery operation

The 7000 mAh battery guarantees up to 10 hours of continuous use. You can work on your tablet all day long without recharging.

It is what it is! Thanks to the increased battery capacity, we can charge the tablet once every two (and sometimes three) days. I think that with active continuous operation the battery charge will really last for 9-10 hours.

Slim and compact design

The TAB 2 A10 70 tablet is an incredibly compact device with a thickness of less than 9 mm. Available in two color options (Pearl White and Midnight Blue), choose the model that perfectly matches your style.

We chose a white tablet; it looks mega-stylish. It’s a pity that all this pearly beauty has to be hidden behind a case, but what can you do, it’s a vital necessity.

SPECIFICATIONS

Here, perhaps, I will also provide data from the manufacturer’s website, since I see no point in reprinting it (and if I start writing in my own words, I will definitely mess something up).

PHOTOS FROM TABLET

I took photos from my tablet of everything that was bad/good at home 😁.

VIDEO FROM TABLET

In general, I didn’t plan to make videos using a tablet. But Special For You took it off short video from the window of his apartment on the 5th floor (the local boys were having fun on the swings). Take a look if you're interested.

The video quality from the tablet's camera is not so great, especially when zooming in. Perhaps the distance and cloudy weather are to blame, but I still think that the tablet is simply not intended for these purposes.

DISADVANTAGES OF THE TABLET, IDENTIFIED DURING TWO MONTHS OF OPERATION

Disadvantage 1. During busy work, you can feel significant heating of the case in the upper left corner.

Flaw 2. Wide screen bezel (especially at the top). She doesn’t bother me in any way, but for some reason my husband is dissatisfied with her.

Flaw 3. Rare system freezes. I noticed several times that the tablet does not respond to touches immediately, but after a few seconds. It’s difficult for me to say what exactly this is due to: the operation of the tablet itself or problems with the Internet. Perhaps the reason really is the unstable Internet, since freezes occurred while being online (for example, when moving from one window to another, scrolling up and down a page, etc.). By the way, my husband did not notice such lags.

Shortcoming 4. No fast charging. It is not comfortable.

Drawback 5. Relatively slow loading when turned on.

Flaw 6. Weak rear camera(only 8 megapixels). We rarely use a tablet for photography, so this is not a decisive moment for us.

Now I’ve written all this and I’m sitting there freaking out, thinking, is it really that bad? In fact, the listed disadvantages do not bother us at all. If I weren’t so harmfully nasty, I wouldn’t find fault with these moments. I just considered it my duty to tell you about them.

LET US SUMMARY

Despite the device’s minor shortcomings, I dare to recommend it after two months of use. We are completely satisfied with this tablet because it meets our main requirements:

  1. Possibility of watching movies in high quality with a bright and clear picture.
  2. Convenient Internet surfing.
  3. Support for average quality games.
  4. Widescreen display.
  5. Surround sound.
  6. Capacious battery.
  7. 3G/4G support.
  8. Excellent price/quality ratio.
  9. Stylish appearance.
  10. Good build quality (our tablet does not creak or play).

Before publishing the review, I asked my husband if he regretted purchasing this model after some time from the moment he started using it. He firmly answered: “No! For the money, this tablet is by far the best!” Well, what can I say, I’m used to trusting my husband’s opinion!

By the way, I can recommend a good faux leather case for this tablet for a modest price. We have been using it for over six months now and are very pleased.

I hope this review was helpful to you. Thank you all for the 👍!

Package

White tablet for sale cardboard box, an image of the device is printed on the entire front part. WITH reverse side- specification and features.

Opening the box, we find a tablet, under which is the delivery package:
- Two operating instructions
- Two warranty cards
- Charger at 2 Amperes
- Micro USB cable for connecting to a computer or charging
- A sheet with a list of equipment

Appearance and features

The tablet is made of plastic, the design has no backlashes or creaks.

Front 2-megapixel camera, no proximity or light sensors.

The body itself is made of Soft Touch plastic of blue color, pleasant to the touch and does not leave marks or small scratches. It doesn't slip in your hands and is easy to hold with one hand. In the middle is the manufacturer's logo and a sticker with technical information.

5 megapixel main camera with autofocus.

Now we are closer to one of the features of this tablet - these are two stereo speakers. One of the speakers has the Dolby logo on it, it's there for a reason. This company has introduced Atmos technology to improve the sound quality. Dolby Atmos is multi-channel audio without increasing the channels, giving the sound a surround sound experience. As I heard about this technology on one of the forums - “Dolby atmosphere”.

When describing the tablet, landscape orientation was taken as the most optimal.

On the right side there is a 3.5 mm mini-jack connector; when connecting headphones, Dolby Atmos technology also works.

And on the left side are located:
- Micro SD slot for memory cards up to 64 GB and a full SIM card for mobile Internet
-Micro USB connector
- Volume rocker and power button (even though they are located in unusual place, pressing them is not difficult at all, the pressing is smooth and soft).

A microphone is located above the camera. I would like to see 2 microphones, because, in my opinion, one is clearly not enough.

Screen

The tablet screen has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, pixels are visible to the naked eye. Initially, the thought flashed through why they didn’t make 1920x1080, but, as it turned out, the processor does not support resolutions higher than 720p. The screen, in my opinion, is very bright, so much so that when exposed minimum value in complete darkness it hurts the eyes.

Viewing angles from any angle give nice picture and do not distort colors.

Up to 10 simultaneous clicks are recognized, although clicks are not always recognized correctly.

None protective coating there is no screen, and if there is, it is very weak. The screen collects fingerprints and stains perfectly.

System and performance

The tablet has the Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) operating system. I hope this tablet continues to be updated to newer versions of Android. At the bottom of the screen there are three touch buttons - back, home, dispatcher running applications, they are backlit. In some tablets, these buttons are not backlit, which causes discomfort in the dark.

The curtain familiar to everyone, in which you can go to settings, power manager, google profile and change the screen brightness. You can also turn on/off Wi-Fi, bleutooch, Mobile Internet, airplane mode, sleep, auto rotate, geolocation, hotspot, alarm and special application Dolby.

From pre-installed applications I would like to highlight the most interesting:
McAfree Security is a free antivirus.
ES Explorer is a convenient file manager.
SYNCit HD is an application to backup/restore contacts, SMS and call log.
SHAREit - data/file exchange via Wi-Fi.
Dolby is a specialized utility for tuning speakers.
I’ll tell you more about the latter.

In order to customize the sound of the speakers, it is proposed to select 4 profiles - movies, music, games, voice. If you are not satisfied with these profiles for some reason, you can always customize everything yourself by adjusting the equalizer and turning it on and off additional functions. I want to say a little more about Dolby Atmos technology. The essence of this technology is that sound accompanies the picture. For example, the movement of a car from left to right is displayed in the speakers, and a surround sound effect is created.
The video is not in Russian, but you can understand the meaning.

You won't be able to make calls from a tablet like you can from a phone, because this option not implemented. On the other hand, who would think of calling from such a “colossus”, and most likely it would be inconvenient. But you can send SMS, but these days few people use SMS, mainly special programs for communication.

The processor installed is not “new” and its performance does not shine, but at the same time it practically does not heat up. If you use the tablet in games, then rear end The housing does not heat up. But I have a question regarding the processor frequency. On the Qualcomm manufacturer's website, this processor (Snapdragon 210 with an integrated LTE module) is listed with a frequency of 1.1 GHz. In our case, 1.3 GHz, perhaps some kind of CPU boost or simply increased the characteristics. The tablet itself, without third-party software, shows a frequency of 1.1 GHz. 11.13 GB of 16 GB of internal memory are available to us.

We also have the opportunity to configure our device to distribute the Internet, in other words, to organize an access point.

As for the test results, the tablet’s hardware doesn’t stand out in any way. The processor, like the video core, produces weak results. RAM 1 GB for regular user enough if you don’t open 15-20 bookmarks in the browser and other intensive tasks. Of course, 2 GB would be better. Overall, the tablet works quickly and without any lag. The graphics core is Qualcomm Adreno 304, which is only slightly faster in performance than the ARM Mali-400 MP4.

Despite the weak processor, you can play games comfortably, although only not very demanding ones. By the way, there are very few good games for Android devices. I can't wait to play on budget tablets V computer games 2011. For now, we can only hope that the wait will not be long.

Camera

The main camera takes good pictures only in daylight, but in the dark it’s worse, and it’s difficult to make out anything. This 5-megapixel camera takes pictures in a resolution of 2592x1944, and videos in 1280x720. The front camera also doesn’t stand out in any way, but it’s good for communicating via Skype or another instant messenger. It takes photos at 1600x1200 resolution and even shoots video at 1280x720. Not for all devices front-camera knows how to shoot video, and in HD resolution.

Panorama shooting is also available, and for more detailed photos you can use manual settings: ISO, shutter speed and many others.

One more main feature The main feature of this tablet is its 7000 mAh battery. Typically, both in tablets and smartphones, manufacturers install a battery of up to 4000 mAh. Lenovo decided to go a different route by installing capacious battery. Thus, the user does not limit himself in using the device. In the mode of watching videos and surfing the Internet continuously, the tablet worked for 10 hours 45 minutes. In standby mode it can work up to 117 days, which is a very impressive result. Also in the power manager you can see what exactly consumes the most energy.

There are no problems with orientation on the terrain either. The tablet confidently finds satellites and quite quickly.

Conclusion:

The tablet turned out to be quite good. Big bright display paired with a capacious battery allows you to enjoy working on your tablet and for a long time Don’t bother looking for the nearest outlet. And lovers of high-quality sound are even luckier, because with such stereo speakers listening to music and watching movies is a pleasure. Dolby helped with this by introducing its technologies. There are no problems with the Internet either, if you want 4G, get it, LTE - yes, please. I would like the main camera to be better, but this is more my wish than a minus. Both work and entertainment are always at hand. Thus, this tablet I can confidently recommend it for purchase.

Pros of Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30

- Very good stereo speakers
- 7000 mAh capacitive battery
- Does not heat up during operation

In 2015, Lenovo introduced its ten-inch tablet with 2 GB of RAM, it is called TAB 2 A10-70L. Since the company is known for manufacturing a wide range of devices ranging from smartphones to laptops, it is doing more than well in the tablet market. You can find a large selection of high-quality Lenovo devices from budget to premium. At the time of release, today's copy belonged to the middle price category. Let's take a closer look at what this “fruit” is by reviewing Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L 16 Gb.

Equipment

The tablet is sold in a small cardboard box, which shows the device itself and describes it specifications. The diameter of the box is slightly larger than the tablet itself. The package is standard and does not contain additional accessories. So, in the box, in addition to the device itself, you can find a power supply, a cable for charging and connecting to a PC, and all the necessary documentation, including instructions and warranty card, as well as a list of equipment on a separate sheet. The set is standard, as they say, nothing extra.

Design

The tablet has a simple design without any special features - everything is simple and concise. But this does not mean that he looks bad, quite the opposite. The main material of the case is matte plastic, it is quite durable. The device comes in two colors, namely white and dark blue.

On the front panel you can see a display with protective glass, above it on the side there is a camera and the company logo. It is by the location of the camera and logo that it becomes clear that the landscape orientation of the tablet is the only correct one. And besides, the ten-inch device is in a different position and is not very convenient to work with.

At the top end there is a headset jack; there is nothing else there. On the left you can find the keys for adjusting the volume and turning off the device, they feel great and have good response and don't creak. Next to the buttons there is a micro-USB input for connecting charging or synchronizing the gadget with a computer. On the same side there is a hidden slot for a memory card and SIM card; it is hidden under a special plug. There are no connectors on the right side, and only a microphone on the bottom.

Back panel Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L meets with another company logo in the very middle. The camera module is located at the top center, with two speakers and holes for them on its sides.

The tablet turned out to be large enough for a resolution of 10.1 inches. It could have been a little smaller if the frames around the display were thinner, but this has the advantage of making the device more comfortable to hold, and there is no risk of false clicks. The case creaks a little, and the back panel is made of soft plastic and bends when you press it, but only by a millimeter. However, it is worth considering that this adds bending strength to the device. For those who prefer a hard back panel, you can buy a case with hard walls.

The tablet weighs just over 500 grams, but it cannot be said that the device is heavy. In addition, the device is quite thin, which makes the gadget more ergonomic. The back panel is susceptible to fingerprints, and if this is not so noticeable in the white version, then the smudges will stand out strongly against a dark blue background. All this suggests once again that it is better to use a case.

Display

Let's continue our review of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L tablet by looking at the display features. The screen of the device has a diagonal of 10.1 inches and a resolution of 1920×1200 with an aspect ratio of 16:10. This permission is quite enough to get high-quality picture no obvious pixels. For this price category, the resolution is very good, which, undoubtedly, pleases and raises the device one line higher than competitors in the same price category.

The tablet has an air gap, but this is not such a big minus. This is forgivable for a mid-budget device. Color reproduction is natural, the screen is bright and rich, but the colors are realistic. The manufacturer has calibrated this setting well. The viewing angles are at the highest level, which also means that the display turned out to be excellent.

The tablet has a built-in MiraVision setting that allows you to adjust many screen parameters. This means atypical adjustments to brightness, but also sharpness, color balance, hue, as well as contrast and color saturation.

The display is bright enough for normal outdoor use, but in direct sunlight the quality may be slightly lost. The minimum brightness setting is too high, this leads to the fact that in the dark when using the tablet, the eyes may get tired faster and there is a desire to lower the slider even lower, but this is not possible. You can fix this using third-party applications.

The light sensor was not built-in, so all brightness settings must be carried out in manual mode. However, most users disable it anyway, so we can’t say that this is a big minus.

It is worth noting that it is still unknown what material is used to protect the display. There are opinions that this is protective glass, but sometimes it seems that the front panel is high-quality plastic. It is worth considering that the protective surface resists scratches well, but does not have an oleophobic coating, so fingerprints remain easily. Here it is better to use film.

In the end, we can say that the display turned out good and is clearly worthy of its price.

Sound

The device has two speakers, which are located at the top of the rear panel and distributed on the sides, which creates stereo sound or surround sound. The tablet has Dolby ATMOS technology built into it, which is designed to significantly expand the sound stage. We can immediately say that Lenovo managed to achieve this. The sound is loud and clear, bass and low frequencies are felt.

Since the speakers are located at the rear, you may feel that this degrades the sound experience. However, they have plenty of power to spare, which makes up for the lack of location. While holding the tablet, do not cover the sound holes with your hands.

In the mentioned Dolby ATMOS program, deep settings sound and there are several ready-made quality profiles.

Also a little about using the headset. If you turn on expensive headphones, their potential will be revealed at 100%. As a result, we can say with confidence that the tablet’s sound is perfect. high level.

Cameras

You shouldn't expect anything from cameras in tablets. And in general, few people use them except as a front camera for selfie photos or video calls. But everything in the reviewed tablet is pretty good. So, the main camera is 8 megapixels and has autofocus. In good daylight, pictures are obtained acceptable quality, the color rendition of the environment is normal.

But focusing takes quite a long time, and when you get closer, you can see that the detail in the photos is rather weak. If you take photos in poor lighting, the quality drops many times and noise appears.

In the application "Camera" there are many useful settings, if you tighten them up, the quality of the pictures may improve slightly. Yes, the most interesting setting- This is HDR mode. It works quite well and is useful in many situations. However, during such photography, the camera must be stationary. It is also worth noting that there is no flash, which reduces the quality of photos in the dark. Videos are obtained even in high resolution at 1920×1080, but still the quality is a little lame, and pixelation appears. Despite the shortcomings in the camera there are also interesting features, for example, anti-flicker mode - allows you to record video from a monitor or TV screen without creeping bars.

The front camera is quite standard and is suitable for taking pictures of yourself or using for video calling, but the video quality will not be the highest.

Memory and memory card

The tablet is equipped with 16 GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM. If there is enough RAM to run applications and background processes, That internal storage may not be enough. The fact is that it gets clogged very quickly, and in the version of the operating system installed on this tablet, not all applications are transferred to the memory card.

You can expand the storage with a flash drive up to 64 GB, which slightly improves the situation. In addition, there is a version with 32 GB of ROM.

Connection

Wireless modules are presented in Wi-Fi form, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G/LTE. What we can say about Wi-Fi is that it works well and quite quickly, no problems were identified during testing - the connection is instantaneous, and the transfer speed is high. Wi-Fi module supports all standards that currently exist.

Eat GPS systems, Glonass and Beidou. They all work well with the cards.

When connecting an OTG adapter, you can not only connect a USB flash drive, but even a USB-Ethernet network card for subsequent use of wired Internet. This opportunity is not available everywhere.

Battery life and performance

The tablet uses a 7000 mAh battery. Despite the fact that the filling is quite economical, long-term operation will be ensured. The battery life was tested on PCMark, where the tablet lasted more than 9 hours with above-average brightness and Wi-Fi turned on. When the test was completed, there was still 19% charge left, which is enough for at least an hour under the same high load.

In general, to discharge the tablet when normal use, it will take at least 2 days. Charging takes about 4 hours from 0 to 100%. It is recommended to use the supplied cable and power supply, which provide a current of 2A. With other power supplies, charging may take longer. During heavy games, the charging speed decreases significantly, so after 30 minutes of playing, the charging level increased by only 7%.

The “heart” of the tablet is quad-core processor MediaTek MT8732 with clock frequency 1.7 GHz. This is a mid-range chipset that is quite power efficient. The video system used is Mali-T760 MP2 - a powerful video accelerator, which, however, in this version has only 2 cores, but can support much more.

RAM 2 GB, of which only half is available to the user. In Antutu, Lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L shows more than 34 thousand points, which is an average result. However, in reality the performance turns out to be higher than the tests show. The interface works smoothly and quickly, all applications open without the slightest delay.

In games, the situation is average in every sense, so, quite demanding game World Of Tanks Blitz It is possible to play comfortably only at low and medium settings, however, during difficult scenes there may be drops in the frame rate.

In well-optimized games like Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5, everything is quite good, it’s comfortable to play at medium settings, there are no obvious performance losses and no stutters either.

In simple 3D games, such as various runners, performance is at a high level, everything flies as it should. The situation is the same with 2D games; they have no frame drops.

From all this we can conclude that the tablet is, in principle, suitable for games, but playing particularly difficult versions will have problems, you will need to lower the graphics settings.

Software

The tablet comes out of the box with an operating room Android system 4.4, but can be upgraded to Android 5.0 immediately upon launch. To do this, you just need to connect to the Internet, after which the tablet itself will offer an update.

The proprietary shell is used Lenovo solution– Vibe UI. At first glance, there are not many differences from the standard version of Android; these are slightly redesigned settings and redundant shortcuts for standard applications.

There are no complaints about the operation of the system. Everything works quickly and smoothly. There are no slowdowns during transitions. The whole set Android functions works fully and flawlessly.

There are several pre-installed applications, among which there are a couple of special ones:

  • SYNCit HD. This software allows you to do backup memory.
  • WPS Office. This office suite, it includes everything required applications for opening documents and editing them, creating presentations and a program for tables and calculations in them.

Bottom line

Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L – interesting offer, which fully justifies its price. Among the advantages, we can immediately note an excellent high-resolution screen, normal performance for many everyday tasks and support for 3G networks. The most tangible advantage is excellent sound system, which truly gives high quality sound, as well as high autonomy for a tablet with a 10-inch screen.

However, there are still some downsides. This is insufficient performance for “heavy” games, frankly weak camera modules and the absence of an oleophobic screen coating.

But a tablet is not a smartphone. In general, the reviewed gadget is clearly worth the money.
