What is Bluetooth Smart. How comfortable is the Huawei Mate X in terms of thickness? Setting up DVD subtitles and audio tracks

Wires connecting the keyboard and computer, player and headphones, laptop and printer, headset and mobile phone are losing their relevance. Moreover, direct visibility is not at all a prerequisite for a successful connection. To communicate between two devices, it is enough that both devices have a built-in Bluetooth module or the ability to connect an additional module.

Bluetooth is widely used for connecting peripheral devices (it is built into smartphones, phones, PDAs, tablets, navigators, laptops, printers, headphones, mice, keyboards, etc.) and transmission small volumes information (for example, via Bluetooth you can easily transfer a melody or picture to a friend’s phone). Compared to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth consumes much less electricity, but at the same time its speed is tens of times slower

Bluetooth 1.0/1.1

Bluetooth 1.0/1.1 - developed in 1998. The speed of the first version of the standard was small and amounted to only 150 Kbps (Bluetooth 1.0/1.1).

Bluetooth 2.0

Bluetooth 2.0 is an evolutionary development of the 1.0/1.1 standard, as a result of which the connection speed has significantly increased ( up to 3 Mbit/s) and increased energy savings. Today Bluetooth 2.0 is the most widespread standard. It is used in wireless headsets, headphones, keyboards and mice, cell phones, smartphones, laptops, etc.

Bluetooth 3.0

To increase data transfer speeds, the Bluetooth 3.0 standard was adopted in 2009, which combines Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies. Bluetooth 3.0 allows you to work in two radio modes: in one, data transfer is carried out at up to 3 Mbit/s(like Bluetooth 2.0) and is characterized by reduced power consumption (which allows you to significantly save energy and increase the operating time of your mobile device without additional charging), in the second the transmission speed reaches 24 Mbit/s, but power consumption increases significantly. The operating mode is selected automatically depending on the size of the transferred file. A slow channel is used to transfer small files, and a fast channel for large ones.

It is important to remember that although Bluetooth 3.0 uses technology Wi-Fi standard 802.11, it is not compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n!

Bluetooth 4.0

Bluetooth 4.0 was adopted as a standard in June 2010. Distinctive feature version 4.0 is an ultra-low power consumption mode and stable operation at a distance of up to 100 m. First of all, Bluetooth 4.0 is designed for use in a variety of miniature sensors that can operate for up to several years on a single battery. The peculiarity is that Bluetooth sensors are activated only at the moment of receiving/transmitting information. For other devices (phones, smartphones, tablets, laptops), Bluetooth is available for use in the classical sense - transferring files, exchanging photos and music, sending contacts. In this case, the maximum speed, as in the Bluetooth 3.0 specification, is 24 Mbit/s.

For the convenience of users, two new concepts have been introduced: Bluetooth SMART And Bluetooth SMART READY.

  • Bluetooth SMART– designation of miniature devices with built-in sensors that collect a wide variety of information: an electronic pulse meter, pressure meter, a window or door closing sensor, an electronic digital car lock, a home thermometer, a TV remote control and much more.
IMPORTANT!!! Bluetooth devices SMART will only be able to transmit information to Bluetooth SMART READY compatible devices.
  • Bluetooth SMART READY– designation of devices working with Bluetooth SMART sensors, that is, reading and processing information coming from them. For example, devices that count the number of calories burned by receiving data from a pedometer or giving a sound signal if triggered wireless sensor smoke in the room and much more. Bluetooth SMART READY devices Fully compatible with Bluetooth 2.0/3.0 equipment.

Cross-platform frameworks provide mobile application developers full set tools designed to improve productivity by solving common problems. When Chinese IT company Huawei decided to unveil its new multimedia phone surrounded by the ornate National Museum of Catalonia in Barcelona, it certainly gave hints to the journalists present (covering technology news) about what they would see. After all, the recently introduced foldable smartphone Huawei Mate X looks a bit like a rare Picasso painting.

First review of Huawei Mate X: a smartphone with a folding screen - attractive, has powerful technical characteristics and an incredibly expensive price to buy it.

So, what is the Huawei Mate X smartphone? First impression Huawei review Mate X can be summed up in the phrase that this smartphone is great. Even the phrase that this is a beautiful smartphone softens the review a little. Rather, he is magnificent in his own way. It has perhaps the most worthy industrial design of any mobile phone that the tech giants have ever released in the last few years. New Huawei smartphone from contemplation and deep imagination, clearly expands the boundaries of what smartphones can be. Since the size of a smartphone screen easily turns into a tablet one. Thus, mobile content can be viewed in a convenient way.

Those who know everything about phones might think that when asked for a unique price, the Mate X is a bit like the Picasso story in that it is a very expensive smartphone. The Mate X has raised the bar for smartphone prices. But perhaps, given the specifications on offer, it can justify its high price for those deciding which phone to buy.

Display on Huawei Mate X.

Which display is better? Huawei Mate X has one display that can transform into three various configurations. The first mode is 8-inch tablet. It's an almost perfect square with an aspect ratio of 8:7.1 and a resolution of 2480 by 2200 pixels.

Since the screen is on the outside of the smartphone, when the mobile device is folded, you get two screens. The front screen offers 6.6 inches from edge to edge, complemented by a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel resolution of 2480 by 1148.

There are also rear end, which offers fewer screen inches because it houses the device's cameras and handle. You will primarily use this part to take selfie photos. This part provides a decent (but thin) screen size of 6.38 inches with a somewhat compressed 25:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2480 by 892 pixels.

How comfortable is the Huawei Mate X in terms of thickness?

When mobile Huawei phone The Mate X is folded at 11mm thick, and unlike the rival Samsung Galaxy Fold phone, there's no bulky gap. It is completely flat and locks into place with just one click. It would be interesting to test how well it locks when thrown into a purse, for example, and see if it can accidentally open or not.

When unfolded, the Mate X smartphone is 5.4mm thick, which is slightly thinner than the iPad Pro!

On Huawei Mate X, the camera, the pen - everything is for the user!

A quick look at the side of the Huawei Mate X - it's a handle (Huawei's fairly descriptive term). The device contains three mobile cameras, including one using hardware Leica. In technology news, this was not a surprise. The same configuration has appeared on all Huawei phones, starting with the P20 Pro model. It would be strange if the manufacturer Huawei refused such a function in such a revolutionary device.

You may notice that the phone does not have a dedicated front-facing selfie camera. This is because the three rear cameras are selfie cameras. To take a photo of yourself, you just need to fold your phone and flip it over.

It's all pretty exciting. Huawei's premium phones are regularly considered to have the best camera phones on the market. While the company didn't share any camera samples during the launch event, it's fair to say that some people love the experience of taking selfies with a high-end mobile camera enhanced by Master AI software.

And because the back of the Mate X also contains a screen, you can use your smartphone when taking photos, for example to show photos to your subject preview how it will ultimately look in the photo.

Huawei employees claim that there are no problems with the camera on the Mate X model. This is good news, both from the point of view appearance, and in terms of overall durability. The latter is what the company is focusing on as it announced a specially designed protective case with the phone.

New 5G connectivity and performance for the Mate X smartphone.

When reviewing the Mate X, it's important to remember that Huawei is more than just a phone maker. It targets a variety of IT areas, including SoC design. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Mate X uses a Balong 5G modem, as well as a Huawei Kirin 980 processor.

The modem is especially interesting as Huawei promises more than double the performance of modems from rival firms such as Qualcomm Snapdragon and Samsung Exynos. It is assumed that users who can afford to buy Huawei Mate X in stores will be able to use the download speed of 4.6 Gbps, for example, to download a 1 GB movie in just three seconds. Of course, right now, we have not been able to independently verify this, so for now we can only take our word for it.

What operating system is installed on Huawei Mate X?

From point of view software,Mate X runs on system Google Android 9.0 Pie.

A Huawei spokesperson also said that Desktop Mode software will be available for its latest foldable phone, allowing the Mate X to be used as a smartphone, tablet, or even a desktop computer.

Huawei Mate X memory.

Mate X is a mobile phone with two SIM cards, one slot of which supports 5G network, and the other is limited to 4G communication. If you don't need the latter feature, you can simply insert an NM card (clarification, NM is a nano memory card invented by Huawei that offers the same type of memory as a microSD memory card but in a smaller form factor) and add extra bed for storing data in a mobile device. At the same time, the basic version of the smartphone is available with 512 GB of memory. Even the most dedicated filmmakers are unlikely to use all that storage capacity in a mobile phone.

Battery for Mate X.

With such big screen for work, you'll be glad to know that the Huawei Mate X phone launched with a pretty gigantic battery. The device has two cells, which together measure up to a respectable 4500 mAh. Unfortunately, there are no battery tests right now, so it's difficult to say how this translates into actual use of the new smartphone.

The Chinese company shared that the Mate X comes with a 55W super charging feature that can recharge the phone's battery by 85 percent in just thirty minutes.

Huawei Mate X pricing.

Huawei Mate X is perhaps the most important phone, ever unveiled by the rising Chinese tech brand, and not just because it's cementing its reputation as an innovative premium handset maker. This phone implements the company's more than three years of research and development and integrates advances in materials technology and communications equipment.

With this in mind, don't be surprised that the smartphone comes with really expensive prices, starting at 2,299 euros. When Huawei CEO Richard Yu (the English spelling of his name is "Richard Yu") broke the news, the silence from the crowd he had previously enjoyed was replaced by whispers of questioning. How much, how much does it cost?

Speaking of prices, it is about 300 euros more expensive than the flagship mobile device Samsung Galaxy Fold. And it's about 800 Euro more expensive than the most expensive Apple iPhone. Price-wise, the Mate X is in the same range as the company's previous luxury phones that bore the brand of luxury car brands, namely Porsche.

Huawei is not oblivious to the high cost of the Mate X, and during the conversation, Richard Yu said that the price of the phone reflects the high cost of research and development of the mobile device. He explained that the patented hinge that separates the two displays was a three-year development process and contains over a hundred different parts. This kind of research and development is not cheap, and it is inevitable that there will be costs.

However, two things are inevitable. Firstly, there will be no shortage of enthusiastic pioneers willing to save on a lot in order to save up the money for a premium phone. For these buyers, there is an undeniable allure to being among the first to own something special. Perhaps Huawei can take advantage of the news buzz and benefit from more than just selling cheaper phones.

Secondly, prices on the market will inevitably decline. Perhaps not for this smartphone, but certainly for foldable smartphones in general. By by and large, the price of 2300 Euros per phone will be perceived as a deviation from the norm. This will be driven by several factors, ranging from inevitable cost savings to competition from other up-and-coming brands like Xiaomi and OPPO, which are making strong inroads into the Western smartphone market.

Availability of purchasing Huawei Mate X.

For example, Huawei hasn't said how much the device will cost in the UK, but if you're guessing, it'll probably cost around £2,300. This assumption takes into account previous price trends, high sales tax in the UK and the continued decline of the pound.

Also, Huawei CEO Yu did not mention any plans to release the Mate X in the United States. Which is not surprising. The company rarely releases phones in the US. So the Mate 20 Pro smartphone, which until recently was best Android phone and, which could be purchased for a reasonable price, was completely absent from the American market, forcing American consumers to order the smartphone from abroad. This situation could push prices even higher for US users, who may be forced to pay high customs duties and taxes.

When will it be possible to buy Huawei Mate X?

Huawei has announced that the Mate X will be released mid-year. Unfortunately, this message was not more specific. To clarify, you just need to wait and see what the official release date for Huawei Mate X will be.

Are you planning to buy a new premium phone? There are reasons why it's better to wait before buying a premium phone right now. Which? Here are some of the main reasons. What the buyer can expect from premium phones in 2019 is a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile chip, new super fast 5G connectivity, foldable screen design and a 48-megapixel mobile camera.

All about phones and buying them: If you are planning to buy a new premium phone, wait at least one month to buy it. And that's why:

It is expected that at the Mobile World Congress 2019 (also known as MWC 2019), which will be held in just a couple of weeks (on the twentieth of February), most of the leading smartphone companies will present their latest flagship phones with advanced features and updated technical specifications.

So, new cell phone specifications for this year.

Samsung will release a multimedia phone Galaxy S10, while manufacturer HMD Global will present a five-camera Nokia phone 9 PureView. Phone makers Huawei, Oppo and LG will also showcase their latest mobile devices at the upcoming mobile expo.

But in 2019, buyers need to think about more than just the next model upgrade cycle when purchasing a new premium phone. And the reasons for this are the unique technical characteristics in the description of the phones.

- Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

Top Qualcomm processor works on most premium phones, from Samsung models Galaxy S9 to OnePlus 6T. The Snapdragon 845 processor is now history. The latest Qualocmm Snapdragon 855 chipset based on 7nm process technology delivers better performance, higher battery efficiency and built-in artificial intelligence (aka AI) processing.

Paired with the Snapdragon X50 modem, the Snapdraon 855 will also bring 5G mobile connectivity to premium smartphones in 2019.

Other key features of the chipset include improved gaming performance (Adreno 640 GPU), artificial intelligence and a higher resolution camera, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor.

- 48 megapixel camera.

The latest premium smartphones are expected to come with a higher resolution camera. The 48-megapixel camera is the new rage, and there are already several phones like the Honor View20 and Redmi Note 7 have a similar function.

While resolution is certainly not the best measurement to judge a camera by, the built-in sensors are also improving significantly. Most of these 48MP camera phones will probably use Sony sensor IMX586, named as the highest resolution camera sensor for mobile phones.

Apart from better camera resolution and sensors, premium mobile phones 2019 may also come with Samsung-like quad and penta (five) camera setups. In most 2018 phones dual cameras had a main camera, while additional camera ranged from ultra-wide, depth to monochrome.

We expect the new phones to feature most of these sensors with three, four or five cameras.

- Fifth generation mobile communications: 5G.

The evolution of mobile networks continues! The upcoming MWC 2019 will also be a launching pad for 5G phones. Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung and almost all the leading players in the mobile market are expected to introduce their new phones with 5G connectivity. Most of these phones will also hit the European and US markets later this year. Some Apple fans are already looking to buy the 5G iPhone. For other countries, the rollout of 5G networks may be delayed by at least one year. But investing in a 5G phone right now wouldn't be a bad idea.

- Folding mobile phone.

Folding phones are no longer a concept, screen folding is already part of the features of mobile phones. Korean company Samsung introduced its first foldable phone late last year. It is expected to unveil the commercial version of the phone at its event on February 20, ahead of mobile exhibition MWC 2019.

Samsung is likely betting big on the new form factor, as it plans to release at least one million foldable phones this year. Considering that Russia is one of the priority markets, we can expect that foldable phones will also be released. Apart from Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo have plans to launch foldable phones this year.

- Artificial intelligence in phones, plus don’t forget about machine learning.

Google introduced operating system last year Android system 9 Pie. Such Android features Pie, like adaptive display and adaptive brightness is the basis of machine learning, which helps improve the efficiency of use Android phones. In the future, artificial intelligence and machine learning will become an important part of updates for Google platforms Android. It may be worth making sure that your new phone will be compatible not only with Android 9 Pie, but also with the Android Q successor.

Besides Google, phone companies like Xiaomi and Asus are bringing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) right into system applications. The camera on premium phones, for example, uses AI and ML to automatically recognize scenes and automatically optimize settings. Most of the 2019 mobile phones will come with AI-enhanced cameras.

The only thing that remains a dream when buying is when the best mobile phones will have a full-fledged “3D phone” feature.

News added:

1) Samsung has released the latest version of Galaxy S10 and people believe that iPhone may lose its position as the king of smartphones.

Last flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S10 was launched by the company on February 20. On this day, Samsung presented many new products. The audience was really interested in the new phone demonstrated. So much so that they say that Apple's iPhone has a serious alternative. With the latest Galaxy S10 model, Samsung surprised and shocked fans, in a good way.

2) The attractive, powerful and incredibly expensive Huawei Mate X foldable 5G phone.

Following the announcement of the first foldable smartphone Samsung Galaxy Fold, Chinese company Huawei is betting on the folding screen form factor and is announcing the release of the Huawei Mate X, which also works with 5G connectivity. Developer Huawei is taking a completely different approach compared to Samsung, namely placing the smartphone's rollable display on the outside rather than on the inside, and this solution has a number of pros and cons when describing next-generation phones. The price of Huawei Mate X starts from 2299 Euro.

3) Will Apple release a foldable iPhone?

Some analysts believe that a foldable iPhone could be in the works from the Cupertino company. Then, if the new Apple smartphone comes with a folding screen, it has a chance to become the best among the already released foldable smartphones Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X.

Data transmission technologies are constantly being improved. Until recently, Bluetooth technology was not the most popular due to its shortcomings. The main thing turned out to be the low data transfer speed and their small volume, so personal computers and in mobile phones Although the technology continued to be used, it was not very widespread.

Today, manufacturers are announcing an update to Bluetooth. The new operating algorithm made it possible to obtain a completely new product called Bluetooth Smart. What are its features? And how do car alarm manufacturers use these advantages?

Perfectly economical

Bluetooth wireless technology has achieved record low power consumption. High efficiency distinguished the first version, but in the latter, manufacturers achieved the greatest possible reduction in energy consumption. New generation devices using this technology, can work much longer. For example, on one small coin-type battery, the device can operate for at least one year without the need for recharging, even if it transmits and receives information via a wireless communication channel every day.

The Bluetooth Smart specification has received other advantages.

  • Increased data reception speed. This happened due to the expansion of the package of information that can be missed wireless channels. The speed has increased by two and a half times, while the volume of transmitted data has increased by 10 times. Manufacturers used this security systems, which have adopted Bluetooth Smart technology as the basis for data transfer between the car alarm unit and the user. In this case, the function of a user identifier can be performed either by a special tag or by the owner’s personal smartphone with active Bluetooth.
  • Improved security and privacy. It is no coincidence that the latest version of Bluetooth Smart is used in the production of security systems. It implements new algorithms for generating keys and encrypting data, the exchange of which initiates an authentication check and periodic checking of transmitted and received variables. Such an encryption algorithm eliminates tracking and, especially, unauthorized use of the signal.

The new Bluetooth Smart technology is presented by the manufacturer under the slogan “Ideal for the Internet.” But it turned out to be no less attractive for automobile security systems.

There are a wide variety of ways to transmit information over the air in the world. Recently, the BLE format has become increasingly popular. Today we will look at the features of this protocol and talk about why it is so in demand in the modern world. We will also look at development tools and features of auxiliary applications on Windows and Android from Nordic.

Why was BLE invented?

As soon as people learned to transmit information wirelessly, the task arose of transmitting data using a battery-powered device. The problem is that he must be assisted by another device that will constantly either listen to the airwaves or transmit data. The problem occurs when both the receiver and transmitter are battery powered. This is where BlueTooth Low Energy (BLE) comes to the rescue. It entered the BlueTooth 4.0 protocol for the first time. At the moment, the BlueTooth 5.0 specification has already been released, but we will mainly consider the BlueTooth 4.0 format, sometimes indicating innovations for the 5.0 format. One of the devices is usually a smartphone, and the second is a battery-powered gadget. Android supports BLE since version 4.3.

Transmitting and receiving data requires energy, so the data transmission speed is increased so that more information can be transmitted per unit time. For this purpose, BLE uses an information transfer rate of 1 Mbit/s. However, it is not only the data transfer speed that is important. The most important thing about BLE is that communication devices can switch to synchronous operation. In other words, the devices sleep 99% of the time, then wake up for a very short time, exchange information, and go back to sleep. However, before entering this mode, you must go through the synchronization procedure. There is an “advertising” mode for this. We'll look at it later. And before diving into the description of the BLE protocol, I would like to touch on the topic of tools for working with the BLE protocol.

Tools

In order to understand the variety of parcels and requests, we need tools. With their help, we could see the contents of parcels and control the mechanism of interaction between devices. For these purposes, we will use the nRF51822 Development Dongle (PCA10000), a sniffer program and, to display the results, the Wireshark program, well known to all system administrators.

The programs are free, but getting the dongle itself can be a challenge. However, without tools, developing such complex devices will be very problematic. At the first stage, the Android program “nRF Connect” can help.

It allows you to scan the air, find and disassemble parcels of both attached and non-attached devices. Nordic also has tools for developing BLE devices, but these will be enough for us. There is a representative of the Nordic company on the Russian market - the company “Rutronik” (rutronik24.com, rutronik.com). Through its representatives you can purchase the necessary microcircuits, development boards etc. In addition, there is a forum on the Internet where company representatives answer questions from developers.

First, let's briefly talk about how to use our tools. Let's insert our dongle into the USB connector and run the ble_sniffer_win program. We will see the following window.

If the dongle sees BLE devices, information about them will appear below. In this case, there is one device on the air with the name “TestBLE”. Its signal level, MAC address and the fact that this address is random are also displayed. Looking ahead, I would like to note that here lies one of pitfalls for developers. Some phones (LG G3S, Samsung S6) only work with devices whose MAC addresses are registered (public).

The sniffer has two operating modes. If we press the “w” button on the keyboard, the “Wireshark” program will launch. The sniffer will scan three advertising channels and provide information about all advertising devices. If we first press a number on the keyboard, the same as that opposite the device we are interested in, then a different operating mode will turn on. In it, the sniffer will monitor the traffic of only one selected device, both on advertising channels and on working channels

Using Wireshark, it is easy to get all the information about the package. The program consists of three windows. All received parcels are displayed at the top, in the second window - detailed information about the selected package, and the third window displays the frame itself. In turn, the second window contains three blocks of information. In the top one - the time values of the selected frame, in the second (Nordic BLE sniffer meta) - general information about the frame, such as signal strength, frequency channel and some others. The most interesting for us is the third block of information (Bluetooth Low Energy Link Layer). In it you can see an analysis of the frame itself. In the future we will talk specifically about this block of information. First, we will look at the formation of advertising packages.

Advertising

Let's look at the picture below. It shows channel allocations by frequency for BLE. Advertising channels are 37 (2402 MHz), 38 (2426 MHz) and 39 (2480 MHz) channels. This distribution of advertising channels was not chosen by chance. Firstly, advertising channels fall between Wi-Fi channels (channels 1, 6, 11), which allows them to be heard by other devices even at low power levels. Secondly, when we space advertising channels far apart from each other, we get guaranteed message delivery. This is due to signal interference indoors. It is known that as a result of the reflection of radio signals from walls, a situation may arise where the receiver and transmitter cannot hear each other. However, in our case, when the transmission of advertising packages occurs sequentially on three different channels, maximally distant from each other in frequency, this effect is absent.

Let's now consider the format of the advertising package itself. The specification measures data length in octets. For us these are bytes. The very first byte is the preamble. It consists of alternating zeros and ones. This is necessary to synchronize the transmitter and receiver. Following the preamble, four bytes of the access address are transmitted ( Access Address). After it comes a data packet (PDU). In specification 4.0, the maximum PDU length is 39 bytes, and in version 5.0, the data packet length is increased to 257 bytes. At the end of each advertising packet there are three bytes checksum(CRC).
It should be noted here that the Access Address serves to ensure that devices understand for whom the BLE package is intended. This is a kind of access code. If this access code is not known to the device, then the packet is ignored. On all advertising channels, unlike working ones, it is the same (0x8E89BED6), so all devices on advertising channels see each other.

Let's now look at the PDU data block format. At the very beginning of the PDU packet there is a 16-bit header. It contains the packet type, TxAdd, RxAdd flags, as well as the length of the entire PDU field in bytes. RFU are reserved fields. For the 4.0 specification it looks like this:

Heading:
For specification 5.0, the length of the Payload field has been increased to 255 bytes, and new fields have been added to the header:
Heading:
The TxAdd field is responsible for how the MAC address of the device will be displayed. If this field is equal to one, then the MAC of the device will be visible as random. Let us now consider what types of advertising packages there are. The figure shows a list of them for specification 4.0. In format 5.0 their number is increased, but we will consider what is available in both formats.

ADV_IND are undirected packets that are sent out by devices that are ready to join. Most gadgets use them when sending out advertising packages.

ADV_NONCONN_IND – advertising packets that are sent by non-connected devices. These are beacons. Usually they serve to obtain some kind of reference information. For example, when entering a store they may inform you about promotions. In addition, by measuring the level of signals from beacons and knowing the map of their location, it is possible to carry out automatic positioning indoors. This is relevant for automated warehouses.

SCAN_REQ, SCAN_RSP, CONNECT_REQ – packets exchanged between the connecting device and the phone during the process of establishing a synchronous connection. We will look at these packages and the joining process itself in the second part of the article.

ADV_SCAN_IND - These packets are sent by a non-attachable device that can provide additional information in response to a scanning request.

In the second part of the article, we will look at the various operating modes of BLE devices, as well as the mechanism for “attaching” the device to the phone and switching to operating frequencies.
