USB firmware of "dead" Nokia phones using the Phoenix program

If you lost your Nokia phone, then this article will help you restore your phone.

After reading the article, you can flash a Nokia phone that won’t turn on using the Phoenix program in the so-called “DEAD MOD” mode. This work is written in simple, accessible language, so any owner of a Nokia phone can use it.

What do we need?

1 . Firmware for your phone. I recommend the latest version.
2 . Phone, USB cable, fully charged battery.
3 . Installed program.
4 . Computer with Windows XP, Vista. XP recommended.
5 . All Nokia-related programs (Nokia Ovi suite, Nokia PC suite, Nokia Software Update, various utilities, etc.) must be removed from the computer. Otherwise, problems that we don’t need may arise.
So let's get started.

Main part

We turn off the phone, remove the battery, and put it back in place. Install the latest version of the NFCD (Nokia Flashing cable driver) driver. We take it from the corresponding topic on the forum, unless, of course, it was installed earlier. Note: we can find out about the installed drivers by looking at installation/uninstallation: Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. We insert the cable, briefly press the power button (three to four seconds) on the phone, WINDOWS will find two new devices from Nokia (they will disappear after 3 seconds). Repeat this procedure five or six times with an interval of 20 seconds.

Reboot the computer. We install the latest version of Nokia firmware previously downloaded from our website. Launch the Phoenix program by clicking on the shortcut on the desktop called “Phoenix”. We are waiting for it to launch. In the window that appears, open the “File” tab, then “Open Product”.

In the window that appears, select “RM” of our phone. RM can be found by removing the battery cover. Also, in fact, we will find out the product code. I was flashing the Nokia 6120, which has “RM-243”, therefore I chose it.

After selecting RM, click "OK". Now go to the "tab" Firmware Update".

In the window that appears to the right of "Product Code" click "..."

A selection of product codes will appear.

Choose the one you like (since they are all in Russian). Personally, I left the one I had. Then click "OK". In the new window, check the box next to Dead phone USB flashing.

And press " Refurbish". The message "--- Press phone power button! ---".

After the message, press the power button on the phone until the firmware itself starts. I held the power button for 3 seconds and the firmware started automatically.

That's it, our device is stitched. Now it will turn on itself and we can disconnect it from the PC. In Phoenix, close all windows before turning off.

Note. Usually it is not possible to flash it the first time; various errors may appear in the log. This is normal. The main thing is not to give up and repeat the above process until the firmware is successfully installed.

Advice. If you have tried many times and still do not succeed, then you need to remove the battery and insert it back. Then repeat the firmware process again.

Advice. Read carefully so that there are no unnecessary questions later!
