Autoruns - we split autoloading into atoms. Detailed startup control in the AutoRuns program

The actions of users who are trying to somehow speed up the launch and operation of the operating version installed on their computer look completely natural. Windows systems. Due to the fact that the system’s own tools do not allow for absolutely complete and fine-tuning of parameters, a lot of special applications. And one of the most interesting is Autoruns. How to use the program, using absolutely all its capabilities in Windows environment, will be discussed further. In addition, let us pay special attention to some important settings, since excessive enthusiasm for disabling system components that seem unnecessary to the user can lead to the most unforeseen consequences.

What kind of program is Autoruns: main purpose

So what is this app? Based on the official description of the developer, as well as taking into account many reviews from users and specialists, the application primarily refers to tools fine tuning operating system in terms of activating or disabling its components, which start immediately upon boot, but are completely unnecessary for the average user. In addition, many note that the application can also act as a kind of informative utility that produces the most complete reports on running services and processes. In this regard, it is somewhat reminiscent of the well-known Process application Explorer. However, few people know that this application capable of scanning the system for the presence of virus threats and for the integrity, presence or absence of certain important files. Thus, the Autoruns program can be called both an optimizer and an antivirus. The second one, of course, is debatable, since the application issues notifications referring exclusively to online resources with antivirus databases, and not on generally accepted proven means. Nevertheless, the application quite often detects such hidden threats, which are not detected by either standard or portable antivirus applets.

Where can I download the application?

As for downloading the installation distribution, the most natural solution is to download the utility directly from the developer’s website. No less often, when performing a search on the Internet, you can find links to technical service Microsoft support, not to mention the countless resources on the Internet.

The application is distributed completely free of charge and includes two main components - Autoruns and Autorunsc (in the official release). However, the average user will only need the first utility.

Note: unfortunately, on official resource Russian version of this system utility is missing, so you will have to download the Russified modification from another source.

How to install Autoruns for Windows in Russian?

Now we assume that installation package fully loaded.

Installer latest modification 13.91 takes up just over 3.6 MB of disk space and includes the Autoruns manual as a compiled HTML help file (only in official version). The Russian-language modification consists of just one EXE file.

To install/start the program use this executable file, which on Windows systems version seven and higher (unless the built-in superuser login is disabled) should be run exclusively as an administrator. It is not necessary to install the Autorunsc applet from the full release, since it is designed to work using the command line, and for the average user, the usual GUI. Next, you must agree to the license agreement, after which the program starts. Please note that the utility does not need to be installed in the usual sense, since it is portable.

First launch and familiarization with the interface

Finally, the program is launched. Now let's move on directly to how to use Autoruns in Russian for Windows 7 or any other version of the system.

The main window by default displays all active running processes. The main panel includes several standard menu and special tabs responsible for certain settings. If you have ever used the application, the obvious similarity between Autoruns and this utility is immediately apparent. The process window opens in expanded form and contains information not only about the name of the process itself, but also about the path where the files are located, information about digital signatures of publishers, installation date (time stamp) and suspicions of the possible presence of viruses (Virus Total).

Pre-configuration for users registered on the computer

Since the instructions for Autoruns are not presented in the Russian version, you can download the English package and read it in English. If there is no such desire, let's move on to directly setting up the main components. First of all, you need to select a user if there are several registration records in the system. To do this, use the corresponding menu on top panel. However, if there is only one user and is, so to speak, his own administrator, this item may not exist.

Main Options Menu Components

When talking about how to use Autoruns.exe, you should not overlook some important parameters display of system components, processes and services. First go to the selection menu and pay attention to the default settings.

Of the first four points, it is recommended to leave only concealment activated Windows entries, which will prevent damage to life important components the operating system itself. Everything else can be edited, and at the same time you can get information about possible suspected viruses.

Note: not all system processes can be run as administrator by default, so in the file menu of the Autoruns program (File), any marked process or service can be launched with elevated privileges.

Scan Options

Now you need to configure scanning options, which will subsequently be used to automatically identify problems with the ability to correct errors and failures, as well as activate additional elements management.

To do this, in the same selection menu, you should go to the corresponding item, and in the options window, mark all lines except the first one, so that scanning is carried out not only in the location of the selected user, but also in all other places (viruses can hide anywhere). After this you need to press the button rescan and wait for the test results to appear.

Test results

If missing objects are detected, program warnings will be issued automatically.

So, for example, when a message appears regarding the launcher remote browser Opera, in the example above, this indicates that there is an entry in the registry about this object, but the file itself is missing.

The results can be marked in different colors, and for them there are some numbers and figures in the virus threat detection column. White highlighting indicates that everything is fine with the process, its files and additional attributes.

Pink marks objects that do not have a digital signature, and yellow marks files that are physically absent from the hard drive, for which there are still entries in the registry.

In the virus scan report, the first number corresponds to the number of suspicious threats found, and the second number corresponds to total number checks. Some processes may not be viruses. In addition, it is worth taking into account the errors of the testing tools themselves. You can clarify the information by clicking on the selected result, after which you will be redirected to an Internet resource containing detailed description suspicious file or process.

Note: you can often find that some software programs are included in the risk group iObit products. But it is better not to touch the optimizers, protectors and uninstallers of this developer, since they are not viruses. However, if such components have red numbers in the report, it is recommended to disable them in the startup section.

How to use Autoruns: what to delete or disable in autorun?

Now let's move on to one of the most important sections - autostart of services and applications that start with Windows. The difference compared to system configurator(msconfig) can be felt immediately. Autorun Manager or the startup management tool in the described utility assumes that all processes are initially displayed in the main window. To deactivate an element, simply uncheck the line containing it. But how to use Autorun Manager without accidentally disabling something important? By by and large, you can deactivate almost everything, leaving only command line, antivirus and components, for example, related to the operation of touchpads on laptops. But if you act wisely, it is better to disable only the processes marked in pink.

To be sure, you can visit the executable applets tab when the system starts. If empty locations are shown there, you can also delete them or, if necessary, find information in an online search.

Login Components

On the login tab, which corresponds to the Logon process, elements that are not needed by the user are disabled, but some of them can be deactivated in the main process window. Because the Windows components are not displayed (this option was disabled at the stage preset), you will not harm the system.

Explorer options

But speaking of how to use Autoruns, Special attention It’s worth paying attention to the parameters of the built-in file manager, known as "The Conductor". Deactivating selected components on this tab allows you to remove them from the context menu, which in the operating system itself can be done either through the registry or using third party programs. Here - at will.

Internet Explorer Settings

Now a few words about how to use Autoruns in terms of browser settings. In principle, based on statistics, today few users use the built-in Windows browser IE or its more advanced analogue Edge, so the settings presented on this tab can be left untouched (or deleted altogether).

Scheduled tasks, started services, Office components, gadgets and printers

As for scheduled tasks, it is recommended to disable only those that you know. If the purpose of the process is not known to you, it is better not to touch such components at all unless absolutely necessary. You shouldn’t experiment too much with services either. If there is such a need, disable, again, only those that you know or that are marked with threats. It is better not to edit the driver, codec, provider or image tabs.

But the MS Office launch components can be completely deactivated, since for the most part they relate exclusively to unnecessary add-ons. Finally, if you do not use print services (there are no connected printers) and side panels, all elements of the corresponding tabs can also be disabled.

And only after applying all the settings described above can you reboot the system and make sure that it starts much faster than before.

Possible errors and failures

We figured out how to use Autoruns. It remains to say a few words about possible errors and the consequences of disabling some processes. Many users complain that sometimes it becomes impossible Windows rollback. Apparently, this is due precisely to the shutdown of the service responsible for this. When setting up, hide system components, as described above. You can also come across complaints that when services like Mail.Ru are deactivated Agent program freezes. In this situation, it is advisable to first disable autostart in the applet itself. As a last resort, you can try to uninstall and then reinstall the program if you really need it and were not installed as some kind of affiliate software. However, other errors can be corrected using similar methods.

At the same time, if you want to protect yourself from possible consequences applications own settings, before using the program, do at least backup copy registry using the export function in the editor itself (regedit). Restore everything Windows settings from the created REG file without using automatic or manual rollback using system tools, it will be possible to simply roll back from such a copy.

– small, but very useful utility, with which you can fully control startup Windows. Autoruns allows you to significantly reduce the loading time of the operating system, as well as find and neutralize a virus that has entered the system.

In order to speed up the system boot process, you need to disable unnecessary applications. To do this, in the program you need to find the autorun entry corresponding to the application and uncheck the box next to it.

You can download the Russian version of Autoruns. The program does not require installation: just unzip the downloaded archive and run the executable file AutoRuns.exe.

The main program window will open:
At first, it simply amazes you with the amount of information presented. Autoruns divides all autorun elements into sections corresponding to different autorun categories. To go to a category just select the desired tab(“Login”, “Explorer”, “Scheduled Tasks”, “Services”, etc.). By default, the “tab” opens at startup. All” with display of all existing autorun points.

The list of startup items is displayed in the order in which Windows processes them during the boot and user registration process. Information about autorun points is presented in several columns:

  • Autorun entry (program name)
  • Description ( short description running process)
  • Publisher (author of the program. If the program is not signed by anyone, then this should alert you - often unsigned files turn out to be viruses)
  • File path (path and name of the executable file)

Some lines in the main program window may be highlighted in color. Records that seem suspicious to the program are highlighted in pink. Yellow Those startup elements that were not detected in the system due to their deletion are highlighted. To remove from startup unnecessary application– just uncheck the box next to it.

One of the main tasks of using Autoruns is search and neutralize malware. If you find some suspicious entry in the list of startup items, try to analyze it in detail:

  • Select the entry and look at the description and information about the publisher at the bottom of the program window;

  • Click right key mouse over the record being examined and check its autostart point in the registry or system directory (context menu items “Go to record”, “Go to folder”);

  • If you are still in doubt whether you have a virus or not, look for information about it on the Internet (right-click on the entry and select “Search Internet”).

Once you are sure that the application autostart is not needed, uncheck it. If you need to completely delete an entry about it, right-click on it and select “Delete”.

If you are running as Administrator, then the “User” item is available at the top of the menu bar, with which you can view the startup settings of other Windows users.

As you probably already understood: Autoruns is a very useful utility. Its main purpose is to increase the loading speed of the operating system and remove viruses that are registered in startup. I believe that it should definitely be present in the arsenal of tools of every system administrator.

I don’t know about you, but I have a strong impression that what less program the size, the better and more useful it is. This is why I adore small programs.

Here is today's description of the Autoruns program, another proof that the functional benefit of a program does not depend on its size.

Autoruns is designed to display absolutely all startup items of the operating system. Naturally, in it you can (and should) disable or even delete unnecessary entries for automatic loading of programs, services, services...

The program is initially portable, there is no need to install it - download it (235 kb.) and launch it right away...

For more or less experienced users there is nothing further to explain here - the program found and showed us absolutely everything that is automatically loaded with the system.

All that remains is to analyze the displayed information a little and speed up Windows startup by disabling everything unnecessary. It's not as difficult and scary as it seems.

For inexperienced and novice hackers, I will try to show and explain the logic that I followed when disabling or deleting unnecessary startup items.

ATTENTION! NECESSARILY! To avoid problems during startup, the appearance of various errors and so on…

Firstly: instead of deleting suspicious items, disable them first and only after a couple of days, if everything works well, you can delete them.

Secondly: if you absolutely don’t know what line or program this is, don’t bother, don’t touch this startup item!!!

So, we have a bunch of different tabs in the main program window...

Let's choose, for example, “Sidebar Gadgets”. I DON'T HAVE A SIDE PANEL! IT'S DISCONNECTED! What kind of autoloading can there be? What's autoloading?

It turns out that my antivirus gadget lies there peacefully and slows down the startup of the system - I delete it by right-clicking on the line and selecting context menu"Delete" !

I don't use the service " Windows Mail"- I'm deleting!

Why do I need a whole service, constantly running, that monitors the release of updates for Skype? It will be necessary - I myself am in manual mode I will check and update this program! I'm deleting this item!

Again 25 - service Windows help I have it disabled already more than two years ago! And again this Skype - I don’t have it in startup, but is there some kind of item here? I don’t even get into it - I delete it!

Program for connecting to the server via FTP protocol I don’t need autoload, I launch it myself when needed! I'm deleting! Again side panel- I’m deleting!

Eh, where is my Chapaev saber? We go to the “Codecs” tab and faint! Everything you see can be disabled from startup! Everything! Why?

Because any self-respecting video player has its own built-in codecs!!! And what’s more, these player’s personal codecs also don’t need to be downloaded all at once! When you start a video, the player itself will turn on the codec it needs for playback.

How did I know that these were the codecs of some player? I looked at the path to the file...

So, for half an hour I waved the saber in the autoloader. After which I rebooted the system and checked all the programs that flashed in Autoruns and the items of which I so cruelly deleted - EVERYTHING WORKS WONDERFUL WITHOUT PROBLEMS!

Oh yes, I completely forgot. There were also lines colored yellow with the inscription “Not Found”. I deleted them first, even forgetting to take a screenshot. There were about seven of them!

(not to be confused with autorun - the function of automatically opening programs from a connected disk or flash drive) needed so that after turning on the computer, they start as programs necessary for Windows operation, so third party programs. For example, an antivirus must be launched one of the first in order to get ahead possible threats. The desktop (explorer.exe) is also a program, part of the operating system, and launches almost the very first, even before antiviruses.

Ways automatic start there are many programs, they can be tracked special programs. About the best one later, but first about which programs are most often registered in Windows startup.

What happens in startup

Antiviruses. This is the most frequent programs, which sit in the startup of most computers. Of course, provided that you care about the security of your computer.

Driver components. For example, driver Intel video cards they prescribe programs with obscure names hkcmd And igfxtray, designed to operate hotkeys and display the settings icon in the tray (near the clock). AMD and nVidia also have similar programs.

Drivers for digital cameras They like to add programs to startup that track the fact that the camera is connected and offer to do something with the photos.

The Realtek sound card driver gives registration to the RAVCpl64.exe program - this is Realtek Manager HD, without which the sound in some cases will not be sent to the connected headphones.

The usefulness of a lot of software that comes with drivers is questionable, but you need to be careful. Fortunately, everything can be turned back on.

Programs for correct operation laptop from the manufacturer. If Windows is installed on a laptop, then the startup will contain the nth number of programs for Wi-Fi control, hotkeys, energy saving and so on. Some things can be given up, some things are necessary.

If after Windows reinstallation On the laptop, half of the functions did not work even after installation necessary drivers- the problem is precisely the missing auxiliary software. Go to the manufacturer's website and download what you need from the page for your laptop model.

Programs for the correct operation of a desktop PC. Owners of PC builds from renowned manufacturers Acer, Dell and others can find software similar to laptop support. Most often these are encryption programs and Reserve copy information, the removal of which will not interfere with the operation of the computer.

Toolbars, adware, viruses. Frequent guests on the computers of even advanced users. Do ads pop up when you launch your browser? The computer in a sweet voice promises profit from investing money in another pyramid? Is your VKontakte password constantly stolen? These are all Trojans and advertising crap.

They stand apart services. Programs we don't see doing important (and not so important) work. Standard Services Windows is better do not disable it, because it is possible for third parties. For example, popular player PowerDVD installs the PowerDVD RC Service (PDVDServ.exe). It is needed to control video playback from the control panel. But it’s not always there; the service can be disabled.

System programs. Without them, your computer will not work as it should. This includes the Explorer program (explorer.exe), which is also the Desktop, services and drivers that are part of the system. They are easy to distinguish from strangers and should not be disabled.

Why clean startup?

Maybe we should leave everything as it is?

If you are lazy, afraid, or are happy with everything, close the tab and move on with your life. But if you have a rebellious spirit in you that wants your computer to boot faster, so that strange programs stop appearing, cleaning startup will be the right step. Just be careful and do it with a fresh mind.

By learning how to clean startup, you can make the work of any computer (or laptop) that comes into your hands easier. This requires a little of your time, as well as a program like or Autoruns.

Autoruns program

The free Autoruns program will allow you to find out about all the programs that start after you turn on your computer.

You can download Autoruns using a direct link. Language only English. There are Russian versions of Autoruns on the Internet, but it is not a fact that they will be the newest.

There is no need to install the program (and it won’t work), just unzip the file somewhere Autoruns.exe.

There are two versions in the archive - Autoruns.exe(more on that later) and console version autorunsc.exe, which most home computer users don't need.

I advise you to run the program as an administrator so that it has maximum rights in the system and can disable everything, everything, everything.

When you first launch the program, you need to agree to the license agreement by clicking “Agree.”

I strongly advise you to create a restore point before disabling something. If you don't know what this is, read the chapter of my other article about the AVZ program.

Program window

Autoruns is easy to use. The main window of the program is a list with a list of all programs launched when booting Windows. Tab Everything needed to display all launched programs en masse, the remaining tabs are only separate methods launch:

You may be confused a large number of tabs and rows. Fortunately, you can and should filter out “unnecessary” items. Not by unchecking the box (this is excluding the program from autorun), but by using the settings, which I will discuss later. When most of the items disappear, it’s easier to figure it out.

Enabling virus scanning

We need to remove Windows components and isolate possible viruses. To do this, click menu Options - Scan Options - check the boxes, as in the screenshot below, click Rescan:

So that you better understand what you are doing, I will tell you about the points:

  • Scan only per-user locations- only programs located in the user's folder are scanned. A useless item, because viruses can be in any folder on the disk.
  • Verify code signatures- each program, including the system one, has a digital signature proving that this program is from such and such a publisher and that the file has not been modified (not embedded program code virus). A check mark at this point is needed to determine the substitution system files what many people do malware.
  • Check VirusTotal.com- checking for viruses each autorun element using the VirusTotal online service. In fact, this is a check with several dozen antiviruses. It does not provide a 100% guarantee of detection, because autorun may contain a harmless program that in turn will launch a virus; this cannot be identified. Requires a working internet connection. If you get a window “You must agree...” (“You must agree to the license agreement of the VirusTotal.com site”), press Yes/Yes.
  • Submit Unknown Images- sends for scanning those programs that are not found in antivirus databases. If you have a slow Internet connection, the autorun check may slow down greatly (up to 10-15 minutes), but you can be sure that everything will be checked.

After clicking Rescan the program will update the list for a long time, checking each program for its “harmfulness”.

If you don’t have the Internet, I advise you to download any and test your computer with it. Unfortunately, because of this, it will not be possible to find out whether there were viruses in startup: the antivirus will remove them without notifying you whether they started automatically.

Removing viruses from startup - what do the different colors mean?

At this point we need a tab Everything to see all the ways to launch programs.

After updating the list, some items will turn yellow and pink colors, some will have red numbers next to them.

Items highlighted in yellow should not be touched. Yellow It says that there is no program, but there is an option in startup. Unfortunately, Autoruns does not always correctly determine whether the driver files are in place and highlights them in yellow; disabling them leads to glitches, including the inability to start the operating system, so it’s better not to touch them until you figure out what’s what.

Pink points and numbers indicate problems:

If you see inscriptions like 16/57, then most likely this entry triggers virus. The number on the left (16) tells you how many antiviruses detected the malware, and on the right (57) how many scanned it in total. Clicking on the inscription opens a page with details: which antiviruses worked, what the name of the infiltrating evil was, when it was first discovered. If you see one or two antiviruses trigger (1/57), then in 99% of cases this is a false positive and this item can be ignored.

If you want, you can Google the name and find out the details, but the most important thing is to do the following:

1. Uncheck from such a point. This disables the autorun of the program, which is equivalent to deleting it, only you can later return everything back (in case of a false alarm).

2. Think about changing your antivirus because it was silent. ABOUT free antiviruses, capable of competing with their “big” brothers, I was back in 2012. The advice is still relevant today.

3. Reboot computer and run Autoruns again. If time is precious, just click F5 on the keyboard - this will update the list. It will help to identify viruses that return themselves to startup. If there are any, I advise you to check your computer using a free one, which removes threats more aggressively. There is also free program, which is used by many specialists, but it is difficult for beginners to master. Next, I will talk about how to remove such programs manually.

Items highlighted in pink require attention. They mean that the program does not have a digital signature. Digital signature it may even be found in viruses if the creators have forked out money, so you should pay attention to the absence only when programs from Microsoft - the authors of Windows - do not have it.

An example that everything is fine with the file is below:

If it were (Not verified) Microsoft Corporation, it would be worthwhile to figure out what kind of program it is or whose component it is. But this is for advanced people; to begin with, you should uncheck the box only if there is a red inscription on the right.

Result: we go through the list on the “Everything” tab, disabling detected viruses, and reboot the computer.

Cleaning startup - Logon tab

After removing the evil spirits, many items will probably remain. Your hands are itching to turn them off, right? You feel that the computer will turn on even faster.

I’ll tell you a secret - you can disable everything on the tab Logon and the computer will even work. But it's better to be safe.

On the menu Options programs Autoruns check the first three items:

Then go to the tab Logon(“Login”) and uncheck all items in the list, except those in the column Publisher There is (Verified) Microsoft Windows (usually the first item), as well as from the list in the next chapter.

What should not be disabled

You should not disable programs coming from the driver sound card, video cards and so on. Reason: glitches that arise. The audio output will not switch to headphones when they are connected, additional buttons keyboards will not work, there may be problems with launching games, and so on.

Look at the column Publisher("Publisher"). If there is something from the list, do not touch the item:

  • Microsoft Windows;
  • Microsoft Corporation;
  • Adobe Systems;
  • Google Inc;
  • Intel Corporation;
  • Advanced Micro Devices;
  • nVidia;
  • ESET;
  • Realtek;
  • Kaspersky;
  • Comodo;
  • Broadcom;
  • ...as well as items with the brand name of your laptop/PC. For example, Acer.

The name may not be completely identical. For example, for some reason Intel has a different publisher:

Stands apart antivirus. In autorun it can be represented by one item or several. Theoretically, disable autorun modern antiviruses You can’t use the Autoruns program, because antiviruses continuously monitor their startup entries; in practice, this happens. In any case, you can always return the checkbox.

After rebooting, the computer will turn on much faster. The tray will also be clean (the area with icons near the clock):

This means that most programs no longer start when Windows startup. There is no Skype, no pop-up panels, nothing extraneous. Lapota!

Cleaning further - Scheduled Tasks and Services

Simply unchecking the box does not always remove the program from startup. For example, a blatant advertising module Ask Toolbar You can't just turn it off. After restarting the computer, the item will be added again:

What to do in this case? Beyond the tab Logon programs can be launched in many ways. Again, disable the item that appears, look carefully at the line and go around the tabs one by one Scheduled Tasks(“Scheduled Tasks”) and Services(“Services”). Somewhere there will be entries for programs similar to those previously disabled:

We uncheck them too. The above-mentioned Ask Toolbar, by the way, will still appear again; more about such tenacious programs later.

Be careful with the tab Drivers!

It is tempting to disable all items in other tabs, for example, Drivers. Disabling drivers may cause your operating system to become unbootable. How to restore the computer’s operation, I’m not sure, but this activity is for the patient and only if you have a second computer at hand. Disable on this tab only those items whose publisher (Publisher column) matches the disabled tab item Logon. Better yet, don’t touch anything there until you encounter programs that cannot be disabled.

Bottom line: first disable everything on Logon, then similar ones on the Scheduled Tasks and Services tabs.

If programs are added again

After a reboot, do enabled items still appear in the Autoruns list? There are two reasons:

1. The program (virus?) was launched at this moment. It constantly checks itself in autoload and, if the entry is deleted, returns it. Autoruns removes the entry from Windows registry immediately as soon as you uncheck the checkbox in the list, but does not check whether the entry has been added again. You can see this by refreshing the list (by clicking F5 on keyboard).

2. When the program closes, it checks the record again. When you restart your computer and receive a shutdown signal, the malware adds itself again.

The bastard needs to be removed.

On the tab Logon right-click on the item that is added again - Jump to Image. The folder with the desired program will open. Her exact name can be found in the column " Image path«:

Right-click on the file (in our case it is tbnotifier) and rename it to, for example, tbnotifierblablabla:

Sometimes renaming fails due to the “File blah blah blah open in the program blablabla2". In this case, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, will start Task Manager. On the tab Details look for the programs mentioned. In my case this is one program, you may have several:

Mouse click on a line - Cancel task - End process.

Then return to Autoruns and go to the tab Services. Again Jump to image on the item on which the checkbox appeared again and rename it the same way as before. If it doesn’t work because of the same error (“The file is open in...”), look at the name of the service (first column), run Task Manager, go to the tab Services, look for such an item, right-click on it - Stop:

Try renaming the file again. Surely everything will work out.

Don't forget to look in the folder Scheduled Tasks and see if suddenly a jackdaw appears on something again? Take it off - the malware won't bother you now.

You can see the tab Drivers, because There may be a malware driver there. If you see something on this tab that looks a lot like an item appearing again and again on the tab Logon, it means that you “ran into” a serious virus from developers who know their stuff. The “virus-driver” + “virus in autostart” scheme is rare, I advise you to google the names of the programs to be launched - suddenly there will be tips on proper removal such villains.

Close Autoruns, Task Manager and restart your computer. If the jackdaws do return (what an ambush!), do the same thing again, but instead of turning off the computer through the Start menu, restart the computer with the button system unit or unplug the battery or power cord from the laptop. Such hard reboot will not allow the malware to know that the computer is shutting down and the entries need to be added again. Unfortunately, there is a very small chance of damage file system disk, so... only at your own peril and risk! My experience is that it works. There are other ways, this one is the fastest at the expense of reliability.

In Windows 8 and 10, Task Manager has its own Startup tab. You can try to disable a stubbornly running program there.

What else can you turn off?

You can go further and disable more programs. The computer will start up even faster, and delays when launching programs and opening folders will disappear. To do this, you will have to explain what the other tabs are for and how it works in general. Windows autorun. This extensive topic is destined for a separate article. I'll add a link as soon as it appears.

In this lesson we will learn how to work with the Autoruns program.

Autoruns is a utility with which you can manage automatic download drivers, service programs and other system components. That is, using this utility you can add or remove certain programs, which start automatically when the Windows operating system boots.

1. First, let's launch exe file Autoruns utilities. As you can see in the image below, I call it “Autoruns_Rus_Setup”. Your name may be different, but the label next to the file name will be the same for everyone.

2. A window will open in front of you “ License agreement AutoRuns" Click the button Accept».

3. Next, the main window will open in front of you, in which you can see all the programs, modules running on your PC, system services, drivers.

4. As you can see from the photo below, you can use tabs that sort running services by sections.

5. In order to find out the properties of any object, just click on it with the left mouse button and in the lower left corner of the utility you will see: the size of the object, the time and date of creation, the version, the path where the file (object) is located.
