Connecting a tricolor antenna to a TV. Selecting a location for installing the antenna. Direct cable connection of Tricolor receivers to each other

To improve the display of public and satellite television channels receivers are intended. Available on the market huge selection devices from DVB support T2 from famous brands– BBK, NTV+ or Tricolor. Today we will take a closer look at the latter satellite dish and consider options for connecting it.

Features and popular options

Before connecting the tricolor receiver to the TV, you need to install the equipment supplied in the kit:

  • Satellite dish;
  • Tuner;
  • Convector.

After installing the antenna on the roof or wall of the house, you can begin next step– connecting to TV (the order of work does not depend on the model household appliances– Samsung, Philips, Lg, etc.). This is no more difficult to do than connecting a tablet to a TV. The main thing is to correctly follow all steps of the instructions.

You can connect a digital receiver to your TV different ways, the choice of which depends on technical characteristics devices. To do this, you should carefully study back panel tuner on which the connectors are located. Depending on the model and the Tricolor TV set, the set of interfaces may clearly differ:

  • Tulip;
  • SCART;
  • HDMI and others.

The presence of all connectors on the device significantly expands its functionality. For example, connecting to a tuner via HDMI is only possible for modern models equipment (especially LCD panels with large diagonals). This is an interface for transmitting video and audio signals of the highest quality.

The SCART connector is more universal than the tulip, but is inferior in quality transmitted image HDMI cable. It looks like a wide comb that connects to the corresponding interfaces on the TV tuner and panel. Using a SCART cable, you can transfer images to high resolution and clear sound.

How to connect the receiver to the TV via a tulip?

The multi-component cable, which is called “tulip”, was developed many years ago by specialists from the American company Radio Corporation of America, which is why it received the abbreviation RCA. For many years, this was the only way to connect an antenna to an LCD panel.

The cable has three connectors, which are designated by different colors - yellow, white and red. The first is responsible for transmitting video data, the second and third are audio channels. The connection of the three-component tulip with the corresponding connectors on the equipment is carried out in accordance with the color marking.

A significant disadvantage of this connection method is the inability to transmit high-quality digital audio and video signals. If you select this option for connecting a TV tuner to the panel, a fuzzy image with noise may be transmitted to the screen. Therefore, you should use a tulip only if the TV does not have other more modern interfaces.

Connection steps

Before installing a satellite TV tuner, it is important to follow the following important recommendations:

  • Disconnect everything from the power supply Appliances, gadgets and equipment;
  • Perform the sequence of work in accordance with the instructions for the device;
  • If possible, use short cables;
  • After connecting the cables to the appropriate connectors, the connection diagram must first be checked for correctness, and only then turn on the equipment.

After connecting the devices, you will need to configure the transmission of image and sound from the antenna. To do this, using the TV remote control in the settings, you need to select the type of input signal (depending on the connection used) - AV for multi-component, EXT for a SCART cable or HDMI.

Note! If the screen displays “no signal,” you will need to check the accuracy of the connection in all previous steps and re-configure the equipment. If you have problems with the Tricolor antenna, you should contact technical support for comprehensive advice.

How to connect the Tricolor receiver?

If it is not possible to connect a regular cable TV, people install satellite television. One of the best companies providing this service, is a Tricolor company.

However, in order for your TV to display satellite TV, you need a receiver. But not everyone knows how to properly connect a receiver from the Tricolor company and how to configure it.

Connecting the Tricolor receiver

Connecting the receiver can be divided into three options:

  • Connection via analog RF connector.
  • Connection via analog low-frequency connectors.
  • Connection via other outputs.

All three options have their pros and cons. Let's look at each one separately.

Connection via analog RF connector

This is the easiest way to connect. It only needs one antenna cable, which is inserted into LNB OUT on the receiver, and into LNB IN on the TV. However, this connection option is the worst option of all, because the quality of the picture, image and sound will be very low, at the level regular television last generation.

After connecting, all that remains is to find television channels through auto search.

Connection via analog low-frequency connectors

There are three such connectors:

  • SCART connector. It is connected using a special SCART cable, which is inserted into the desired connector on the receiver and on the TV. In this case, the picture quality will be slightly better than that of an analog high-frequency connector.
  • RCA connector. Or in our words “tulips”. This is the simplest and affordable way connections. You just need to insert the tulips into the connectors of the desired color in the receiver and on the TV. Tulips divide the signal into three - image, left and right audio channels. Thanks to this, the picture and sound on the TV will be of better quality. In the TV settings you need to select the desired input.
  • YPbPr connector. These are the same tulips, but they are connected to connectors labeled “component videoout”. These connectors are not always present on the receiver and TV. But if they are, then the quality of the picture and sound will be higher than when connected via an RCA connector. In the TV settings you also need to select the desired input.

These connectors are superior in quality to analog ones. high frequency connectors, but are inferior to the high-quality connectors from the next section.

Connect via other high quality connectors

High quality connectors include:

  • S-Video connector. To connect to this connector you need an S-Video cable, which can be purchased at any hardware store. It is inserted into the desired connector on the receiver and TV. The quality of the S-Video connector is slightly better than the YPbPr-type connector, but the difference is very difficult to notice. The advantage of such a connector is that it is available on any receiver, unlike the YPbPr-type connector. However, it only transmits an image, and an additional input is used to transmit high-quality sound.
  • SPDIF output. Used to transmit high quality sound to speakers home theater or on TV. An SPDIF optical cable is used for connection. Often video is transmitted via an S-Video cable, and audio via an SPDIF cable.
  • HDMI connector. Today's best way to transmit audio and video signals to television. It has the best quality of image and sound transmission. For transmission, an HDMI cable is used, which is connected to the required connectors on the TV and receiver. However, the cable is quite expensive.

After installing the receiver, you need to configure the TV to receive video and audio signals correctly.

Setting up the Tricolor receiver

After connecting to the TV via the receiver's wires, you need to insert a smart card into the receiver's connector and plug it into the network. When starting for the first time, you must configure the receiver correctly.

Tricolor TV company is quite a popular provider satellite television in Russia. Many of us use or are going to use the services of this company, which means the topic of connecting and using the equipment of a set of receivers is relevant. In this article we would like to talk about connecting and setting up the GS E501/GS C591 receivers from Tricolor TV.
So, the company provides its users with the opportunity to watch satellite television channels, while providing different channels on two different television receivers.
That is, in fact, a set of GS E501/GS C591 receivers is able to provide independent broadcasting for two TVs. It is important to note that the main receiver is the GS E501; it is the one that receives and decrypts the RF signal. In fact, it has two receivers installed. And the second receiver GS C591, in fact, is not even a receiver. It's just a receiving device digital signal By wired connection and working with him. The connection via Wi-Fi is not carried out as this method is not able to provide transmission for display in HD quality.

It must be said that despite such features, the receiver and set-top box are able to provide full viewing satellite channels independently, when each of the devices can work with its own TV, in a different room and from its own remote control.

The GS E501 receiver (“server”) is designed to receive a signal from a satellite dish converter and broadcast television and radio channels to a client receiver via a local network.
The GS C591 receiver (“client”) is designed to play television and radio channels (“content”) received from the server via local network.

Depending on the conditions (location of receivers in the premises and the distance between them, availability of a ready-made local network and free ports of network equipment), one or another scheme can be used network connection receivers - direct cable connection, or connection to network equipment(to the router).

Direct cable connection of Tricolor receivers to each other

In this connection diagram, the receivers are connected directly Ethernet cable(“patch cord”), as shown in Figure 1:
1) Connect network cable To Ethernet port on the back of the server.
2) Connect the other end of the patch cord to the Ethernet port on the rear panel of the client.
3) Power on the server and client.

Connecting Tricolor TV receivers to network equipment

In this scheme, the client and server are not connected to each other directly, but are connected to network equipment, as in Figure 2. This connection scheme requires two patch cords and two free ports of network equipment:
1) Connect the patch cord to the Ethernet port on the back of the server.
2) Connect the other end of the patch cord to a free port on your network equipment.
3) Connect the second patch cord to the Ethernet port on the rear panel of the client.
4) Connect the other end of the second patch cord to a free port on your network equipment.
5) Power on the server and client. It is also necessary that the power to the network equipment is turned on.

Setting up the receiver - server GS E501 Tricolor TV

1) After connecting the receivers to the local network, set the server network parameters in the “Setup Wizard” application at the “Network Settings” step (or in the “Settings” application, in the “Network” section), see Figure 3.

Figure 3

2) Using the remote control buttons “←/→”, “/↓”, move the focus to “Ethernet 0” and by pressing the “OK” button, select the method for obtaining the IP address for the server:
"DHCP" as shown in Figure 4 or
"Link local" as shown in Figure 5.
DHCP is not applicable for the direct connection scheme. For this receiver connection scheme, you must select the Link local method. To connect to network equipment, depending on network availability DHCP servers, both DHCP and Link local can be selected. The settings for the method of obtaining IP addresses (Link local or DHCP) must be the same for the client and server.

Figure 4

Figure 5

3) Using the remote control buttons “←”, “Exit” return to the list window network interfaces

Figure 6

4) If the server has received an IP address, the screen should look like Figure 6. This means that the server is connected to the network, and you can proceed to setting up the client.

Figure 7

5) If the screen looks like Figure 7, it means there is a problem connecting the server. General list possible problems when connecting the server and steps to resolve them are given in Table 1.

Setting up the receiver-client GS C591 Tricolor TV

1) After setting up the server, set the client’s network parameters in the “Setup Wizard” application at the “Network Settings” step (or in the “Settings” application in the “Network” section), see Figure 8.

Figure 8

2) Using the remote control buttons “←/→”, “/↓”, move the focus to “Ethernet 0” and, by pressing the “OK” button, select the method for obtaining an IP address for the client:
"DHCP" as shown in Figure 9 or
"Link local" as shown in Figure 11
DHCP is not applicable for the direct connection described in section 3. For this receiver connection scheme, you must select Link local. For connection to network equipment described in section 4, depending on availability DHCP networks server, both DHCP and Link local can be selected.
The settings for obtaining IP addresses (Link local or DHCP) must be the same for the client and server.
3) After the client and server receive IP addresses, the client must find the server on the local network: in the field under the heading “Select a server” will be displayed
server information as shown in Figure 10.

“90000101010518917315799” in the example in the pictures is the identifier ( serial number) of your GS E501 receiver.

4) To connect to the server, use the remote control buttons “/↓”, move the focus to the line with the server ID and press the “OK” button. After a successful connection to the server, the message “Connection established with the receiver-server 90000101010518917315799” will be displayed, as shown in Figure 11.

Figure 9

Figure 10

Figure 11

5) If the screen still looks like in Figures 8 and 9 (the client has not received an IP address, empty list servers), as well as in Figure 12 (the client’s “Ethernet 0” network interface is not connected to the local network), this means that there are problems connecting the client and/or server. A general list of problems when connecting a client and steps to resolve them are given in Table 2.

Figure 12

6) Setup network parameters The client is completed after the possible problems described above have been resolved and a message indicating a successful connection to the server is received, shown in Figure 11.
7) The next steps are to complete the client setup, including identifying the operator and region, searching for channels and watching content on the TV connected to the client.

The length of the patch cord should not exceed 100 meters. Patch cords are not included in the delivery package of the GS C591 and GS E501 receivers and must be purchased or manufactured by the user independently. It is very important that the network cable is crimped correctly and efficiently. The cable is crimped with a standard network method, i.e. “direct” connection, when the twisted pair pinout for both ends of the cable must be the same.

Receivers are designed for high-quality signal transmission. The receiver converts digital, analog, video, audio and radio signals. The device can convert several signals at once and redirect them to video or audio display systems. The TV receiver is not intended to be used large quantity cables Signal sources are switched on the receiver itself. The quality of the picture and sound largely depends on the quality of the connection.

Receiver – multifunction device. Convenient for installation is the receiver, which has a small set of tulips and has a convenient and simple interface. The connection diagram will vary depending on the TV and receiver model.

The quality of the image will directly depend on the quality of the source signal and the quality of the interface.

The best connection method is to use an HDMI cable - one end of the cable is connected to the back of the TV, the other to the output located on the receiver. The cable will improve image quality and audio signal transmission. It often happens that a TV or video player has a component output (ypbpr). Then, to connect the receiver, use wires for a component connection.

Tricolor connection options:

  • The Tricolor b520 satellite receiver is connected according to a different scheme. An antenna cable is used for connection. The receiver is connected to the TV using an antenna cable. The channel search starts automatically. You can tune the TV after scanning stops at the receiver’s operating frequency.
  • This connection option requires a bell-shaped cable. After connecting the cable, turn on the device and wait until the channel number on the receiver lights up. Using the remote control, switch to video mode. You must select the connection connector in the menu.

The inscription on the TV screen should look appropriate. If the inscription is missing or does not look right, it means the receiver is connected incorrectly and the TV cannot receive the right signal. To correct the situation, you can try pressing two buttons “zero” and “one” on the remote control at once.

Principles of connecting an HDMI receiver

A receiver with the HDMI standard is considered the most modern and versatile. This type The receiver is distinguished by high quality audio and video signals in two types of television formats: analog and digital. Install HDMI receiver Can be used on any TV.

An HDMI receiver is a device that will provide coordinated work video and acoustic systems.

This device carries special function. Incorrect installation may cause the entire television system to fail. When purchasing a receiver, each buyer should find out whether the store provides installation services for the receiver. If it is not possible to call the wizard, then before connecting, the user must understand the procedure for connecting the receiver on his own.

Principles for connecting the receiver:

  • The HDMI receiver has the best quality of signal processing, sound and image transmission.
  • You need to choose the type of connection that will contain the least number of wires. The fewer cable links, the less interference there will be for signal transmission.
  • You need to choose a receiver with the most high-quality wires. The quality of the broadcast image and sound will depend on them.

You can connect the receiver to both a new and an old TV. One end of the wire is inserted into the connector of the receiver, the television plug of the cable is connected to the connector on which it is written: “HDMI Input”. If there is no TV desired input, then you need to use the component method for installation.

How to connect the Tricolor receiver to a TV

Connecting Tricolor correctly is not the easiest task, since there are significant differences between receivers. Before making a purchase, you need to ask the provider in as much detail as possible about what type of receiver he is selling you. Receiver brands change as their firmware changes.

When making a purchase, you need to know exactly which version of the standard is needed - this knowledge will help you choose the right equipment and cable length.

In order to provide broadcasting to all types of premises, you need to use video senders both on cables and on WiFi standards. But it is worth noting that such equipment will cost much more. When purchasing, you should check the power level of the transmitters at a specific frequency.

  • A special feature of Tricolor is the regular change of receiver models. Some providers advise changing equipment before connecting new receiver. You can find out about the capabilities of the receiver on forums where users actively discuss this issue.
  • When purchasing a receiver, it is important to pay attention to whether the interface is suitable. You also need to evaluate the quality of the cables.
  • If you connect two TVs to the Tricolor, you must first familiarize yourself with the installation diagram and the rules for placing cables.

It is important to note that Tricolor is pre-configured for a specific provider. The first menu item is the channel list. And here is the list of channels in in this case absent. Typically, the Tricolor tuner only produces a signal, so connecting to two TVs at the same time will be quite difficult.

Tips: how to connect a digital TV receiver to your TV

Digital television has many advantages over analogue. Digital channels and special signal coding ensures transmission high-quality image and sound. There are several ways to connect digital television.

The choice of equipment depends on which connection method is chosen: the tuner may or may not be built-in.

A simple way to set the “digit” is to opt for digital on-air television. To install it you will need an antenna, a TV and a set-top box. For the connection to work, the TV must have a built-in tuner.

Connection options:

  • Digital cable television. Involves the use of digital cable receiver and a specific access module. Connecting a special access module is possible if you have a digital cable receiver and a PCMCIA slot. Access to paid channels can be obtained by purchasing a smart card.
  • Digital satellite television. The connection method is considered the most labor-intensive. To connect television you will need a satellite dish, a convector and a satellite receiver and cable. The antenna diameter must be selected as accurately as possible.

You can connect the receiver and TV in different ways. Any connection diagram involves carrying out all work with the TV turned off. It is important to remember that not all TVs can support a digital signal.

Connecting the AV receiver to the TV

Connecting the receiver to a TV or computer ensures smooth audio and video broadcasting. After unpacking the receiver, many may encounter problems recognizing the connectors and determining their purpose.

An AV receiver is a switching center that transmits and distributes all audio and video signals to their destination.

It is considered the highest quality in terms of sound and image transmission HDMI signal, RGB, S-Video and RF signal. The best connection is the one that contains the least number of cables. It is better to choose short cables - they will cost less, and the transmitted signal will be of higher quality.

Connection tips:

  • When purchasing, it is important to pay attention to the type of connections.
  • Pay attention to the connection between the input of the receiver and the TV. It is between the receiver and the TV that the connection should be the most best quality.
  • If the choice fell on an HDMI cable, one connector is connected to a connector called “HDMI Monitor Out”. It can be found on the back of the receiver. The other end of the cable is connected to a connector called “HDMI Input”.

Scart connectors are widely popular. Samsung, Pioneer, Scart and BBK tulips have a rich set of connectors and high quality. After connecting the receiver, you can turn on the equipment and check the settings. If the TV shows clearly, then the receiver is connected correctly.

How to connect a receiver to a TV (video)

A receiver is a device responsible for high-quality transmission of audio and video signals. Selecting a receiver is an important task. When choosing a device, it is important to pay attention to the quality of the cables - the type will depend on it transmitted signal. The type of connection will depend on the type of receiver. The connection can be made independently or with the help of a wizard.

A receiver is a device through which signals from a DVD player enter the TV. Both video and audio signals are processed by the receiver before reaching the TV and speakers, respectively. In this article we will look at how to connect your existing receiver to your TV.

For better quality of signals transmitted to the TV, you should connect the receiver with just one wire. In this case, you can switch all signal sources on the receiver itself. On the TV, you will only have to press the power button.

Most good way connecting the receiver is using HDMI cable. You connect one end of such a cable to the connector on the back of the TV, and the other to the output on the receiver. Such a cable not only improves the quality of the transmitted image, but also allows you to transmit audio signals.

If your TV or video player has a component output (which is common), then you can connect the receiver using wires for a component connection. In any case, no matter what wires you use, do not forget to look at the operating instructions - there should be a connection diagram for the receiver.

Connecting the Tricolor receiver to the TV

Connection satellite receiver The tricolor for the TV is slightly different from the diagram discussed above. Such a receiver can be connected with an antenna cable. To do this, connect the receiver via the antenna socket on the TV via an antenna cable. We turn on the receiver and TV. The channel number will appear on the receiver display. Then press “0” on the television remote control and start searching for channels. The scanning should automatically stop at the operating frequency of your receiver. “No Signal” should appear on the TV screen, indicating that the receiver is connected correctly.

Another connection method digital receiver Tricolor to an LCD TV involves using a cable with a bell or scart connector. We connect the receiver to the TV with the appropriate cable. Then turn it on. The channel number should light up on the receiver display. On the TV remote control, press the A/V button to switch to video mode. Then you will need to select the required connection connector in the menu. The message “No signal” will appear on the screen, as in the first case.

If there is no inscription, or it does not look as it should (in the instructions and the Internet you can see exactly how the corresponding inscription should look on the TV screen), the receiver is not connected correctly, and the TV does not see the desired signal. Then press the “0” and “1” buttons on the remote control simultaneously.

As soon as the signal from the satellite is received, information channel Tricolor TV will show the picture. Information about the enabled channel will appear at the bottom of the screen. You need to press the “i” button twice on the receiver’s remote control to see the “Signal Quality” scale and the “Signal Strength” scale on the screen. It is on these scales that you can navigate when you start looking for a signal from a satellite.
