Dear colleagues. Sergey, a reader of my mailing list, sent a message with an interesting remark on the article “Adobe Premiere Pro CC. “Create your own folder for frequently used effects”, which I posted here:
This is what Sergei writes: “ ...there is one question related to creating your own folder for frequently used effects, filters, etc. Created a folder and assigned a name. I open Video Effects, select the effect I need, but my new folder is so deep in the list that it’s impossible to drag anything there. The list of effects differs from the standard one, because many plugins are installed. Even increasing the window to its maximum size does not help. What to do in this situation?...».
Indeed, if you standard set folders with effects, then the formation own list effects are not a problem. But what if the list of folders with effects is huge and just like that, right away, you can’t get to the created folder?
We proceed as follows. Click on the panel tab "Effects":
To expand the panel to full screen, hover your mouse over the panel "Effects" and press the key "Yo", on keyboard:

Click right click mouse and select the item “Create a custom bin” (New Custom Bin):

Rename the created folder. Go to the section "Video Effects" and click on the triangle to expand the list of effects:

From the list, select the subfolder that contains the effects you need. Please note that at the top of the panel there is a search bar:

Let's return to choosing a subfolder. The subfolder has a name, in Russian or English. This is the name we enter in the search bar. For example, a subfolder "Distortion". Enter the word in the search bar - Distortion.

If there are effects in this subfolder that you often use, then you can easily add them to the folder you created by simply dragging and dropping:

In addition to the ability to apply effects to track elements and clips in a sequence, Premiere Pro allows you to apply effects to master clips.
A master clip can be called its parent clip, and all episode clips created from that master clip can be called its child clips.
Unlike regular sequences, multicamera sequences, and compilations, master clips are objects in the Project panel. Examples of master clips include merged clips, subclips, and synthetic clips (such as adjustment layers and color masks).
If a project contains multiple elements that reference the same file on disk, then each of those elements is its own master clip. Therefore, there cannot be a parent-child relationship between elements of the Project panel. This relationship can only exist between the main project clips and the sequence clips in the timeline.
When you apply an effect to a master clip, the effect automatically applies to all sequence clips (child clips) created from that master clip.
Use Master Clip Effects in Premiere Pro

Turn master clip effects on or off on thumbnails

What is the difference between a master clip and a disc clip?
When you import media from disk into the Project panel in Premiere Pro, a master clip is created. Each time the same media file is imported into Premiere Pro, a separate master clip is created.
Thus, a Premiere Pro project can contain several different master clips pointing to the same media file on disk.

How to determine what is loaded on the panel Effect Controls- main clip or track element?

What types of effects can be applied to master clips?
Effects are understood as certain special additions that work according to the algorithm embedded in them.
