1 with Bitrix demo version. Free trials. Remote installation on hosting using the BitrixSetup script

1C-Bitrix is a paid system, even very paid, but in demand, even the most popular. The minimum cost of an edition suitable for creating a decent project is 12,900 rubles. But a Bitrix specialist will not be left without work. Today I will talk about how to try this wonderful system for free and install it on your local machine.

The topics are actually very close and relevant for a beginning Bitrix developer.

Let me explain. The rule of good manners, as well as site safety, for a developer is not to work directly with the site. A virtual server is organized on your own computer, backup the customer’s website, and is deployed on the local machine. As a result, an exact copy of the site works on the developer’s computer, here you can make the necessary changes, make sure that the site continues to function after that, and then transfer the changes to the original site.

They usually don’t make business card websites where it’s difficult to make a mistake; this CMS is suitable for serious projects like online stores and corporate portals. So there is no time for cowboy daring here. We install Bitrix on a local machine.

And, I hasten to please you, 1C took care of the simplicity of the process. We don’t even have to deploy Denwer and configure a virtual server - everything comes included with the Bitrix installer. We go to the official website of 1C-Bitrix, section “Download”, select “Site Management”. There are other solutions, like the “Corporate Portal”, but in 9 out of 10 cases “Site Management” is used, the rest are intended for rare tasks.

On the page that opens, we immediately see an offer to download a trial version of any available edition of Bitrix. You can even try the “Business Web Cluster” - what they offer there for 249,900 rubles. But, as a developer, you are unlikely to need it in life. A web cluster is a different level; to create any website, the “Business” edition is enough - download its distribution kit. A 30-day trial period is enough to thoroughly study the system or earn a full license.

Next, run the downloaded .exe file like the installer of any other program. You must be connected to the Internet because the installer will start by loading a web environment - this is a virtual server for Bitrix. After installing the Web Environment, the installation of the CMS itself will begin, the progress of which you will monitor in the web interface.

A page with the installation progress will open in your browser. The page address will be http://localhost:port_number/. The port number could be changed earlier in the installation process, but this is not necessary.

Product registration is not required, tick the box that you do not intend to register and you don’t have to fill out anything and click “Next”. Next, automatic installation of the product, followed by the creation of an administrator - filling in a password, login, etc. But the next part - choosing an installation solution - is not at all mandatory.

These installation solutions are simply Bitrix presets, demo content. It is absolutely not needed for work, it only clogs up the system, but it is useful for training - to demonstrate the capabilities of Bitrix. For example, you did not have to create full-fledged information portals. You can install the solution of the same name and study how the developers from 1C approached it. You can learn a lot of useful things.

But for me, for example, I needed Bitrix to get to work urgently and I don’t need any extra garbage. However, the installer does not provide an option to bypass the step of selecting an installation solution. The problem can be easily solved. Bitrix is actually already installed and ready to work, and to get started, just type in the browser http://localhost:port_number/bitrix/ and you will be taken to the Bitrix admin panel.

On your portal in the My tariff section you can activate Demo mode. It lasts 30 days, during which you will have access to tools - an extranet, time tracking, work reports and much more.

Any employee can enable demo mode on your portal. However, the available 30 days are calculated continuously from the moment of inclusion. Those. If you used the demo mode for 20 days and then turned it off, then you will not be able to finish the remaining 10 days.

This option will be especially useful for those who use the free version of Bitrix24. You can study all the existing tools and determine which ones are most commonly used in your company. After the demo period ends, you will be able to choose the most suitable tariff for your purposes.

Access to technical support and online consultations during the demo mode is not provided on the free plan.

What happens when the demo period ends?

After the demo period ends, all the data you have created will not be deleted, but they will be deactivated. If you subsequently decide to upgrade to a higher tariff plan, they will be restored.

How can I find out how many days are left in the demo period?

You can also see the remaining days until the end on the Demo mode page :)

I ran out of demo mode, but I didn’t have time to test everything. Can it be extended?

Unfortunately, we are not extending the demo mode. If you wish, you can create a new test portal and activate the demo on it.

Website development is possible using both free CMS and commercial ones. The choice of management system is determined by the goals and objectives that the web resource must solve. In Russia, the only certified commercial CMS is 1C-Bitrix.

Web studio "Avanzet" - a professional website developer for business, recommends using 1C-Bitrix to create serious corporate websites, portals and high-load online stores. This choice is due to high reliability and provision of high-quality technical support for 1C-Bitrix developers.

Free installation of 1C-Bitrix

The trial version of Bitrix implies free use for a certain period. It is usually 30 days. That is, the developers offer to try it out, and if it meets all your criteria, then in the future you will still need to buy a license.

After this period has passed, in two weeks the site will be blocked by Bitrix system administrators. This type of lock can only be removed using a special key. But this will also only be a temporary solution to the problem. That is, the webmaster will still have to purchase a licensed program.

Disadvantages of the free trial (dummy) version of Bitrix:
  • Since the main advantage of the Bitrix system is its technical support and protection, it will be impossible to get it when downloading a free, that is, test version of the system.
  • There will be no update system, which is so necessary for the correct and correct operation of the site. Updates allow you to make adjustments to the operation of the site, and in general the resource will develop steadily and efficiently.
  • There is no possibility of switching to a more advanced or different edition. If the site has already reached a certain point in its development, then it will be necessary to improve it and make the transition to a senior edition.
  • With a fictitious edition, this will not be possible; you will have to re-create your Internet resource again using a new edition. It is unlikely that anyone will want to do this all the time.
  • Very often, when using a trial version of the Bitrix system, there is a need to switch to a paid version. With a hacked version, it is also not possible to do all this.
What actions does installation of Bitrix involve?
  • Before you begin, you should run the installer. At the initial stage, the webmaster receives basic information and instructions for managing sites. You must click the “Next” button.
  • Then you will need to agree with all the proposed rules of use and select the appropriate folder in which all the necessary software will be stored.
  • After this, you should check the box so that the version is completely installed on your computer. Next, click the “Install” button.
  • This installation process may take several minutes. After this, the user will be able to practically use it to create and improve their Internet resource.
  • In order to make a high-quality website on 1C-Bitrix, deep knowledge in several areas of Internet technologies is required, so we recommend contacting a professional web studio, which is an official partner of 1C-Bitrix. Do not forget that later you will need to maintain and support the site. Therefore, it is important that the developer is responsible for the final result.
