Phones similar to it visually and technically appear with enviable regularity, and today we will try to look at the most popular of them.
Reasons and features of cloning
To understand how intense and sometimes fierce the struggle is in the mobile device market, just look at the page of any online electronics store. There are phones from both well-known manufacturers (the same iPhone, Samsung, LG) and middle-market/newbies (Fly, TeXet, ZTE and others). Interest potential clients and the owners of all these gadgets depends on the right combination of obvious factors:
- Firstly, cost, since it is the financial capabilities of a wide audience that create sufficient demand for a specific smartphone model;
- Secondly, technical characteristics, innovations that users, both new and old (followers of the same brand), are looking forward to;
- Thirdly, visual perception or, more simply put, design;
- Fourthly, the quality of the advertising campaign, which creates a specific image of the gadget and the company itself among the client audience, which is necessary for the manufacturer.
Obviously, advertising is designed to combine the first three indicators, each of which has its own impact on the demand for the gadget. The winner, or at least the one who can successfully compete in this regard, is the one who can afford a sufficient level of campaign financing. This primarily applies to market leaders, for example, Apple with its iPhone. The rest have to somehow build on it, creating either an antagonist product with obvious advantages, or a copy. Moreover, the latter, as world experience shows, is much easier to do. Neither little-known Chinese companies, nor even direct competitors are disdainful of this, sometimes outright, plagiarism.
The objects of cloning are:
- Design. This is logical, because Apple creates products that are easily recognizable in society primarily due to their design features.
- Characteristics. Repeat all technical specifications The iPhone is hardly possible, however, making a product as close as possible to it or even ahead in some positions is a completely doable task.
- Price. This is perhaps one of the main criteria why possible Apple customers pay attention to “clones”. But in the last decade, high-tech companies, especially those that deal with electronics, have made huge strides forward, creating products of high quality, technically advanced and, most importantly, more affordable.

Let's start our review of clones with this not even a model, but a whole range, since these smartphones are often called Chinese iPhones due to their visual similarity, advanced technical characteristics, more low prices and popularity, especially in China.
Firstly, we need to mention the Meizu MX-4 model, which resembles the iPhone 6 model. Even those familiar to the North American brand were used in production color schemes(golden, light gray and dark). The smartphone is equipped with excellent capacitive screen by 5.3″, maximum resolution which is 1152x1920 pixels. The bounding frames are made especially thin, which creates a feeling of the absence of image boundaries and the visual lightness of the gadget.
Inside is powerful processor MT6595 with 8 cores and 2 GB of RAM. By analogy with the iPhone, the tactics of expanding the model range due to built-in memory are used.
Considering that the minimum configuration official Meizu MX-4 on the Russian market costs about 24 thousand rubles, it clearly outperforms its “parent” by at least twice (remember, prices for the iPhone 6s start at 57 thousand). Inside there is traditionally powerful filling for the brand: an 8-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, capacious battery(3100 mAh). In addition, its price is about 16 thousand rubles, even lower than that of the MX-4.
Lenovo
Another Chinese corporation that has entered the international level. Among the models that have a clear resemblance to the iPhone, we should note the S60 and S90 (Sisley).
First - LenovoS60– looks like an iPhone 5c. It has a striking design - the back cover yellow color. Supports dual SIM cards. The screen has a resolution of 5.5″ (1280x720 pixels).
