Positioning

Sony decided to create a full-fledged line of noise-canceling headphones and divided the models by form factor, read, by size and usage scenario. The flagship model is the WH-1000XM2 on-ear headphones, previous model is well known on the market and has proven itself to be excellent, updated version can confidently claim the title best headphones in its class with noise reduction.

In the middle segment there are headphones in the headband form factor, so popular among different manufacturers V last years. Sony tried to make a copy of the older model in a different form factor and achieve the same level of noise reduction. Formally, if you read the characteristics for these two models, you will get the impression that they are the same or very close. But, as always happens in practice, this is completely different headphones, with a very different sound. And the main thing is that the WI-1000X has different application scenarios - these are everyday headphones for the city and urban transport, to a lesser extent for the airplane, although they are quite applicable there too. The task was to make universal wireless headphones for every day, and Sony engineers partially coped with this job. Let's take a look at what's good and what's bad about Sony's first attempt at this form factor and with noise reduction. Until this point, Sony headbands did not have noise reduction, and the model that is very close to the one we are considering in terms of capabilities is the WI-H700.

Design, dimensions, control elements

The headphones are available in two colors – black and beige. In my opinion, black color looks better for this model, it is more universal.

Official photographs do not convey what the headband looks like in reality; due to the play of light and shadow, they created the impression that it is thin, but this is not the case. The headband is quite thick; they made a leather insert for it, a kind of soft pad. Why such a design remains unclear, since this is an excess and does not affect the wearing comfort in any way. Usually manufacturers leave plastic here. The only explanation that comes to mind is that Sony tried to add extra chic to these headphones, to show that they are unusual and expensive.

The headband of the headphones is quite tight, it does not tighten the neck, but does not loosen either. But this is not a golden mean at all; under clothes, the headphones can move to the side, which is inconvenient, and you have to adjust them. The material of the end parts is soft plastic, and for some reason it was given a texture; it is pleasant to the touch, but upon contact with the body it instantly collects all the dirt. In beige it will be very noticeable, but in black headphones it is not so noticeable. The first generations of LG headphones with a similar design quickly faded into oblivion; the company was the pioneer of this form factor and collected very interesting statistics. So, with a tight neck circumference, the headphones collect sweat, grease, lotions, cologne residues, etc., the surface is under the influence aggressive environment Not only does it get dirty, but the rubber rots and deteriorates. This takes more than one day, but for many people the negative consequences become visible after six months or a little longer. Every day I remembered LG engineers when I picked up these headphones from Sony; apparently, they had never encountered anything like this before.

The problem here is not so much the material, but the combination of the material and the rigidity of the design, which will almost always adhere to the body, which is what creates unpleasant consequences for the durability of the headphones.

The next point that confused me about ergonomics is the location of the control elements on inside headphones. For example, on the left arm there is a power button, rewind, play.

To get to the buttons, you have to pull back the earpiece; this is more or less easy to do in the summer, but in winter time you need to get under your clothes, which is obviously inconvenient. Typically, manufacturers place the keys on the outside, which is more logical. It is possible that they tried to ensure that there are no accidental clicks, especially under clothing. The buttons are quite tight and cannot be pressed accidentally. But this does not add ergonomics to the headset; it is inconvenient for everyday use - to jump to a composition you need to reach under the collar with your hand.

Yes, and you will have to remember the controls for some time, look at the instructions on how this should happen.

Another “little thing” that frankly annoys me: the power button does not remember its position, you can only press it. For example, I have a time in the office when I want to recharge the headset by plugging it into the charger and it disconnects from the phone, which is logical. But, after removing the headset from charging, I must remember to turn it on, since it will not turn on itself, this is a minus. On many similar headsets, the switch is turned on using a slider, and once you turn on the headset, you will leave it on after charging.

There are channels on the rims in which you can hide the wires; this will only be needed when transporting the headset, and even then it doesn’t make much sense. Surprisingly, given the fairly long wires of the headset, they are inconvenient; the angle at which they are connected to the main body is unfortunate. The first thing you need to realize is that you can’t insert the headphones all the way, then the sound insulation will be worse and the sound will be distorted. You need to insert the speakers as tightly as possible, then everything will sound good. But with this installation, the cable begins to bend, when moving, the headband moves and can slide off, then the ears also move away. In the end, it turns out that every thirty to forty minutes, if you are walking somewhere, you need to adjust your headphones, otherwise they will fly out.

In the cold season, the problem intensifies, as the wire becomes dull, becomes stiff, and the headphones fly out more often. Other manufacturers have softer wires and do not experience this problem at all; I was surprised to encounter it on this model.

On the right side of the headphones you see a button for changing the noise reduction mode and an indicator that shows that the system is working.

It is clear that you can only see the LEDs when the headphones are in your hands, but when you press the button on the headphones English language the mode in which they work is spelled out.

Unique feature WI-1000X is capable of wired connection to a sound source, for this purpose in included microUSB to 3.5 mm cable. The design is cumbersome, and such a connection can only be recommended for an airplane. But at the same time, the headphones will work without a battery, even if they are discharged (the noise reduction system, for obvious reasons, does not work in this case).

Noise reduction and headphone sound

Just like the older model, the noise reduction coefficient is claimed to be 0.83, but almost everyone who listened to these two pairs of headphones claimed that the older model was better. There are several reasons for this judgment. Let me start with the fact that passive sound insulation on large headphones is better by definition. For earbuds, you need to select silicone inserts for yourself; the earphone fits deep into the ear canal, which some may not like. And if with on-ear headphones the likelihood of wearing them incorrectly is vanishingly small, then with these it is present. The headphones must be inserted all the way and ensure that they do not fall out.

Each earphone contains two microphones, they are responsible for assessing ambient noise and regulating the operation of the noise reduction system. Just like the older model, there is an atmospheric pressure sensor, the headphones can be customized to suit you. This is useful on an airplane, Everyday life There is no need to do this setting all the time.

The headphones have a hybrid speaker (armature driver and 9 mm speaker), Sony emphasizes this separately.

Bluetooth version 4.1, which is somewhat frustrating, I would like 4.2, if not about 5.0.

The sound quality of the headset is strange, it is very different from what I expected from headphones and what I heard on the older model. Let me start with the fact that any music that contains voices sounds unusual, it took me a day to realize why this happens. Perhaps to emphasize noise reduction, the equalizers (they are not turned off in any way) pull out the low and high frequencies, but they make an exception for the voice. It turns out that the voices are muffled and they become a little electronic, which creates a different perception of the music. Definitely a different interpretation of familiar compositions; for the first week I couldn’t bring myself to get used to it, then I got used to it, and it even began to seem like I was playing normally. But you take other headphones and realize that there is nothing normal about this - the sound is greatly distorted, although everything here is not for everyone. I deliberately tried to listen to different genres of music and realized that the best way plays Electonic music, it reveals itself perfectly in these headphones. But all other genres sound at least unusual and not very familiar - to put it mildly.

The noise canceling mode works - it's not as good as on the older model, but not bad, especially considering the size of the headphones. In the city I had no complaints about working in this mode; external sounds do not penetrate, only loud sounds. The sound of wheels can be heard in the subway, but somewhere in the background, and consciousness quickly filters it out. With large headphones on the subway you can't hear anything at all.

Switching noise reduction modes (transparency to external sounds) in these headphones is in theory the same as in the older model, but in practice it works differently. As soon as you start moving, the headphones switch mode and for a second there is a signal. Are you up? The mode switched almost instantly. This is annoying and there is no way to turn off the signal. For example, you are standing in a subway car, arrive at the station and get off. The music stops, the mode has changed. We stopped at the transition to the escalator - the mode changed again. Let's go - another regime change. In a word, it turns out somehow strange, and you are constantly distracted from listening to music.

Proprietary improvement technology digital audio DSEE HX allows you to restore songs when transferring via Bluetooth. This technology corrects both MP3 errors (works when a wire is connected) and compression errors during wireless transmission.

The LDAC codec is a proprietary development of Sony, about which the company usually says that this is the most advanced audio encoding option for wireless transmission. It’s up to you to believe or not to believe the manufacturer, but compared to AptX HD from Qualcomm, which is just getting into the definition of Hi-Res, the transmitted data flow is almost twice as high (990 Kbps versus 576 Kbps). And if in AptX HD the sampling frequency is 48 kHz with a bit depth of 24 bits, then in LDAC it is the same 24 bits with a sampling rate of 96 kHz.

The operation of LDAC is regulated by the application settings on the smartphone, and highly depends on source file and its parameters (by driving into headphones Apple Music, you shouldn’t expect any revelations, initially the music is in “low” resolution). But for those who listen to music in good quality, the difference will be noticeable; after playing with the settings, you will see it.

The declared range of reproduced frequencies is from 3 to 40,000 Hz when connected via wire and from 20 to 20,000 Hz when connected wireless connection(44.1 kHz sampling) or 20 – 40000 Hz (LDAC, 96 kHz sampling).

Smartphone program - fine tuning of headphones

You can and should use headphones with proprietary program from Sony, otherwise you won’t unlock even a tenth of their capabilities. When you connect for the first time on Android, you just need to touch the NFC icon on the headphones and pairing will happen.

In the program you choose sound priority or connection quality, you can adjust the headphones to pressure (important on an airplane), there are equalizers and other improvements.

The program can also recognize what exactly you are doing - standing, walking or running. Depending on this, the settings and operating mode also change. Take a look at how automated scripts work.

I can note that on Android program works stably, there are no flaws. You adjust the sound quality and additional settings as you please. The software is interesting and allows you to fine-tune the sound to suit you.

Battery and operating time

The manufacturer claims up to 10 hours of operation with noise reduction, up to 13 hours without it. The stated battery charging time is 3.5 hours. In reality, all these numbers are very far from what you will encounter.

Let me start by saying that you can only charge the headphones regular charging(any fast charging does not charge them, there is no support for fast charging either). The charge level of the headphones can be viewed in the application or press the power button, then the headphones will say high, medium or low charge. This is not at all informative. Full time Charging the headphones always took me a little more than 4 hours.

I have my favorite headphones for urban environments, these are Samsung U Flex, they claim up to 10 hours of music playback, and I usually charge these headphones once every three to four days. I have about 20 minutes of conversations a day and up to 1.5-2 hours of listening to music. That is, plus or minus those same ten hours.

I have to charge my Sony headphones every evening, and they don’t always survive until that evening, although I’ve never used them non-stop. maximum time listening – about 2 hours. To check how long they work at maximum volume or close to it, I just left them on the table - it turned out to be 4 hours of playback. But when driving, when operating modes are constantly switching, this will be a noticeably shorter time, three hours at most. The battery life of the headphones is disappointing; they don't last very long.

I got the impression that it is the noise reduction mode plus switching external noise (audio transparency) that eats up the battery very much. In headset mode, everything is also sad, the battery runs out quickly (if you don’t use it as a headset, you will have more time, but still not enough for this class of headphones). In talk mode, the headphones died in 2.5 hours (we were transferring a podcast non-stop to another phone). Whatever one may say, the operating time here cannot be compared with the average 20 hours in the older model (30 hours are stated there).

The scenario for using these headphones assumes that you will charge them every evening in order to comfortably use them during the day. I don't like this because I'm used to headphones lasting a long time. I also noticed that in standby mode the headphones eat up energy, noise reduction works, for some reason it does not turn off (the headphones are on you, but not in your ears). Sony engineers have done something too clever here. Perhaps by optimizing how the headphones work, an extra hour of performance could be squeezed out. But this is still extremely small.

Headphone cost and conclusions

At a cost of 19,990 rubles, these headphones are distinguished by the presence of noise reduction, in this form factor it turns out unique feature. There are plenty of headphones with good sound insulation, but none with noise cancellation. And therefore, WI-1000X can be anything, but there are no alternatives to them (if you know one, then tell me). But here you need to take into account your use cases. If you need headphones for an airplane, I definitely recommend the WH-1000XM2, they are head and shoulders better in sound, run time and noise reduction. These are just products different categories. But you don’t wear something like this in the city every day.

Since I constantly use the U Flex headset, I involuntarily compared headphones from Sony with it (cost: 5,000 rubles).

It is clear that the U Flex has sound insulation due to silicone inserts, but no noise reduction. However, they are sufficient for me for urban conditions, the sound quality is not ideal, but close to what I expect from the compositions that I listen to. There is no such decoration of the sound, which sounds pure, but completely unusual. It is, of course, surprising that Sony has so much reworked the way music plays for the sake of sound purity, and this is more a minus than a plus. And the main thing is that the operating time is maximum, it does not let you down.

I expected something special from Sony, and especially after the older model, but it didn’t happen. Questionable ergonomics, short operating time, distorted sound of familiar music - you can get used to all this, but why? In principle, a person gets used to everything and may fall in love with such headphones, but there is no point in this. For everyday use It’s easier to buy headphones of the same type in the price range from 5 to 10 thousand rubles, you will get quite decent sound, and most importantly, predictable sound and normal operating time. I really hope that next year Sony will present new version this model, where these shortcomings will be corrected and the quality will be raised to another level. In the meantime, I advise you to listen to the headphones to draw your own conclusions about what they can do in terms of sound.

We continue testing the new line of demons wired headphones Sony 1000X. You asked for strict test conditions and honest reviews? Receive and sign.

The older model of this line, full-size closed-back on-ear headphones, perfectly with the noise of a jet plane.

Complete collection of “improvers”

Or changing your smartphone. WI-1000X works with everyone necessary protocols transfers, including aptX HD(available in new “androids”) and works only in Sony smartphones LDAC. The latter is a serious reason to wave your iPhone.

Compared to aptX HD, LDAC has twice the data flow ( 990 Kbps vs 576 Kbps) and sampling rate ( 96 kHz vs 48 kHz). For iPhone owners this is possible with a wired connection.

Sony's proprietary enhancements will come in handy for iPhone owners: digital sound enhancements DSEE HX allows you to restore songs when transferring via Bluetooth. It's interesting that the technology works for mp3. Apparently, different algorithms pull up exactly what the transmission and encoding “eats.” It turns out well.

Mikk and I compared the sound of the WI-1000X via aptX HD on OnePlus 5 and on an iPhone with the features from the application - the difference is almost imperceptible. Small “gaps” at high frequencies appear in some test compositions - but these are rather audiophile nitpicking and a reason to mock.

“Smart” noise reduction in your smartphone

Moreover, the variety of settings in the companion application solves absolutely any problem. The wideband equalizer applies to all applications, although each type can have its own, separate settings.

You can even “steer” the stage and the place where the sound should come from right on your smartphone. This is incredibly cool. There are ready-made presets with which you can evaluate the effect - we, musicians, are familiar with it firsthand.

Another Cool Feature: Sony WI-1000X very cool implements the effect of changing the sound by moving the source (virtual, of course). If you want - like in a club, if you want - in a stadium. The differences are serious (especially for live recordings), and playing with the settings won’t get boring.

IN Sony app The noise reduction operation can also be adjusted. The younger model WI-1000X got ear pads, the older one got noise reduction settings: a complete set of automatic external sound suppression profiles Smart Listening ("On foot" , "Trips" And "Expectation" ) and an atmospheric pressure sensor.

The headphones independently measure the difference between the noise level between the auricle and the surrounding space using a pair of microphones (from the outside and from the side of the auricle), and correct for pressure. It turns out great.

For example, the rumble of an old carriage turns into a barely audible clatter. You can get rid of it completely - but then there is a chance to lose a little in detail. The crowd noise disappears completely.

If you are afraid of missing an announcement about a stop, turn on “Waiting” and don’t worry. The crowd quiets down, but you can hear all the important sounds as if you were without headphones at all. By the way, the noise of nearby vehicles can also be heard.

What could be more useful in a metropolis? Moreover, the WI-1000X can independently recognize activity, distinguishing between traffic and walking.

I emphasize: Only important, distinct sounds are heard: announcements, increasing and approaching sounds. But not background noise.

This music will last forever

If it is not important, you can save battery power and turn off the noise reduction. In general, even so, the WI-1000X shows good sound insulation if you choose the right ear pads. And there are more than enough of them in the kit.

Manufacturer states until 10 o'clock work with noise reduction, up to 13 hours without him. The stated battery charging time is 3.5 hours. In real use, of course, the numbers are completely different.

In the subway with noise reduction turned on, they lasted for 7 hours at medium volume (maximum volume will knock out the eardrums). Without it - from 9 to 11 hours, depending on the transmission profile used. Voice communication For some reason they eat up the battery faster.

Unfortunately, the carrying case, unlike the younger plugs, does not hide the battery. But if necessary, the nearest outlet in 15 minutes gives a couple of hours of listening.

Noise cancellation in headphones is one of the main trends in the coming years. People in cities increasingly understand the advantages of such models; it’s great to sit in the office and not hear the conversations of colleagues, sit in a cafe alone with music, walk without the noise of cars or fly on an airplane in comfort and silence. Protecting your brain from noise is a truly important thing, and I can no longer imagine my life without headphones like these. Naturally, it is simply impossible to pass by the 1000X series, consisting only of headphones with ANC, and I decided to start with Sony models WI-1000X, the “necklace” form factor has always been interesting to me. Go.

Idea

About the thousandth series, we have one main video and a couple of secondary ones, where we briefly touched on the features of the excellent Sony headphones. Here's the main video, I suggest you check it out.

Sony did the right thing by combining all the headphones into a single series, anyone can choose the product they want, someone will choose best option, these are 1000X overlays, another will want fashionable inconspicuous inserts, the third will stop at a necklace. The Sony WI-1000X being reviewed today, in my opinion, is far from the most universal option, but it will certainly find its fans. Not everyone likes to wear large headphones on their heads; in some situations this is generally unacceptable. Well, WI literally hides under a jacket, works for quite a long time, suppresses noise, sounds good and even has some of the features of the oldest brother in the line. That is, the model turned out to be interesting and this moment it has no analogues. Let me give you an example - I really like the Bose QC30, but the attachments there are not suitable for everyone, the necklace is less comfortable, there is no optimization of atmospheric pressure, in real life this thing turned out to be very interestingly implemented and smart. At the same time, the products are similar in price and it is very difficult to make a choice - I give Sony credit, during development they looked very closely at competitors and created an excellent line. Let's get down to specifics.

Design

It would seem that what can be done with a necklace, but Sony tried their best here too. Rear end it is trimmed with leather, the horns have a very pleasant-to-touch material, the cables are moderately thick, the base is generally made of metal and bends well. The headphones are available in two colors, black and beige, I really like beige, it looks cool. There are a couple of interesting features; surprisingly, if desired, the Sony WI-1000X can be connected with a cable to any device; a microUSB - 3.5 mm cable is included. The second point is when incoming call The headband vibrates, and you can feel it great under the down jacket. The quality of speech transmission is good; on the street, my interlocutors can hear me without problems.

The only negative is the microUSB connector. Hopefully next year new line Sony audio will be equipped with USB-C. The necklace contains many of the usual control buttons - controlling playback, turning on the noise reduction system or Ambient sound, when the microphones amplify surrounding noise. I noticed one more thing: when worn, the necklace sometimes slides a little to the left or right.

The cups are larger than usual, but you don’t feel them in your ears, the kit includes a bunch of attachments, it’s easy to choose right size. I recommend messing with it, both the wearing sensation and the sound change.

Here's a photo of a cute girl.

Overall, again, I really liked the design and build, everything is very cool. The headphones are comfortable to wear, they do not rub your neck, and you can place them over your clothes. There are grooves to hide cables when you're not listening to the headphones. There is an NFC zone for quick connection to devices on Android based. The operating time is about ten hours; they turn off during charging (alas). IN real life They work approximately as stated, you can use them for a couple of days if you listen for four hours every day. Fast charging supported - 15 minutes of connection to a power source gives 70 minutes of playback.

Noise suppression

When you connect to your iPhone for the first time, you are prompted to set Sony program to control headphones, it is the same for all models of the thousandth series. Each cup has two built-in microphones, one perceives the noise outside, the other noise inside, after which an analysis occurs and the headphones begin to reproduce the same noise in antiphase - your brain does not understand anything and does not seem to hear anything. In fact, there are several side effects, for example, when using ANC, sometimes your ears get stuffy, you want to blow them out, like after takeoff/landing. Sony has made life easier for all users. Firstly, the program has the ability to enable automatic detection types of noise based on your location, meaning the noise canceling or ambient system will turn itself on and off. Honestly, I turned this thing off, it’s easier to turn on ANC yourself, fortunately there is a button and the program is convenient. Secondly, there is optimization of atmospheric pressure, that is, so that the ears do not get stuffy, and this really works. In the program we select the noise reduction optimizer, magic happens, voila, it doesn’t block your ears, very cool. Moreover, there is a real sensor on the board, if you are interested, located on the left side. The same one costs 1000X in invoices. Thirdly, the design itself is such that passive noise reduction is an A, if you make the music a little louder than average, then few people will hear you. It will be very cool to sleep on the plane, because the pillow does not interfere with the cup.

The noise reduction system works well, but, of course, has its own design features. Humming in the office, peak noise, softening a neighbor's drill, eliminating alarms on the street - ANC in the Sony WI-1000X combats all this extremely successfully. By turning noise cancellation off and on, you'll notice a difference, but don't expect too much. The system will not be able to eliminate the noise of an arriving train in the metro. In general, not a panacea, but a means to alleviate pressure. And this is good. Don’t forget to select “Voice Focus” in the program if you’re sitting in the office, then you’ll be able to hear a friend nearby—although it’s easier to pull out the earphone.

Program

All modern headphones have their own programs, the Sony utility for iOS/Android is good - it optimizes atmospheric pressure, controls ambient sound, equalizer, and surround sound, and scene settings, and DSEE HX (helps to do well with files Bad quality), you can turn off the vibration for an incoming call if it bothers you. The headphones support LDAC, a proprietary Sony codec that allows you to transmit CD-quality sound via Bluetooth. The only thing is that the second device also needs to support LDAC - they say Google has agreed with Sony to use the codec in Android, but I don’t know when such devices will become commonplace. While LDAC can be found in Walkman and Xperia smartphones, Sony home appliances. In addition to LDAC, there is also support for aptX (if your smartphone has it, try FLAC files), and HiRes Audio support, and everything is as it should be, and God bless us all.

The program must be installed in mandatory, there are also software updates happening here.

Sound

It’s interesting that Sony didn’t skimp or be greedy here either, the headphones are awesome and here’s why; at some point in time wireless model a hybrid circuit is used, that is, there is an armature driver for HF/MF and a regular driver, apparently, it is responsible for low frequencies. Simply put, an armature without a regular driver is good, but with a driver it feels completely different. First, there's a lot of bass, unusual for an in-ear model. Listening to electronics is very pleasant, in particular, I play Moritz von Oswald albums for about three hours and this, friends, is very good for in-ear headphones. Really cool. Secondly, any other genres sound comfortable and pleasant, and thank you again hybrid scheme- if they saved money, I repeat, it would be a little flat, bland, boring, but everything is very ok with both jazz and pop music. Thirdly, a huge volume reserve. Fourthly, if the noise canceler somehow bothers you or changes the music, well, turn it off.

Good, very good for in-ear headphones. And after small AirPods and the like, it’s nice that you don’t have to think about charging at the end of the day. And, no matter how strange it may be, the headphones should be warmed up thoroughly. I am sure that in a month they will play even better than now.

Verdict

The retail price is 20,000 rubles, let me remind you about a special 15 percent discount if you follow this link. Would you buy headphones for yourself? It so happened that I’m using them with pleasure so far, I want to test them on a flight, and then, lo and behold, I’ll buy them from my colleagues from Sony. In the meantime, the Sony WI-1000X leaves only pleasant impressions; They crammed literally everything possible here, and they also came up with an atmospheric pressure sensor. Great model for daily use in the city and if large headphones are not for you - be sure to listen, you can buy it even without trying it on, the gadget is suitable for everyone.

    Design

There are 2 colors available: gold (to me, it’s more like beige) and black. The headphones themselves are made in the form of a necklace and are located on the back of the head. From the necklace itself there are 2 wires with headphones, and on the side panel of the necklace there are buttons for controlling music and answering calls. In addition, there is an NFC area on the right side panel.

    Usage

Starting to use any wireless headphones is connecting to a device transmitting sound. The first connection via Bluetooth is very simple and does not require reading instructions or searching the Internet, unlike the WF-1000X.

The battery life is stated to be up to 10 hours with noise reduction and 13 hours without it, but everyone understands that the stated time, like that of all manufacturers, is at odds with reality. The bonus of these headphones is noise cancellation, which allows you to be alone with the music in a noisy train or cafe without drowning out extraneous sounds music volume.

The headphones themselves (both the earplugs themselves and the necklace) are comfortable to wear, and there was no discomfort during the whole day of use. However, if you want to go for a run in them, then the WI-1000X will not the best option. The body of the headphones jumps up and hits your collarbone. However, with normal walking, the necklace does not move.

    Sound

As with any other headphones, the most important thing is the sound they provide. For this I am ready to endure any discomfort. So, apart from problems with them while running, I didn’t notice any other disadvantages. The sound of the Wl-1000X is the same in quality and volume as the WF-1000X. Good sound transmission and lack of extraneous noise However, in terms of sound volume, they are inferior to some models of Sony wired headphones.

I advise all fans of Sony products to download Headphones for both iOS and Android. This app allows you to customize the sound quality and control noise cancellation.

Another nice feature is vibration notification when making a call, which you can feel even in your jacket.

    Conclusion

Despite the fact that the amount of text makes the review seem short, Sony did a great job. The headphones are made of really high quality, and there is nothing annoying about them. They will become indispensable both in the city and in long trip. In 2-3 days you get used to them, and you press all the buttons intuitively, and the sound quality is really high.
