That's all for the routine of transferring data to and from Outlook. It all works very conveniently thanks to tools such as data filtering and support for several formats of exported and imported objects.

Fortunately, Microsoft Outlook and Excel are excellent partners. Previously, we started creating a contact list. Now that we have information about new team members, we can add the relevant information to our list and seamlessly import this data into Outlook Contacts ( Outlook Contacts). In Fig. Figure 1 shows the list of contacts that we have started creating.

The first line is the header line that is used in the contacts Outlook programs. (We exported the contact list from Outlook to Excel format so that you can determine the exact names of the column headers that Outlook expects to detect.) As already stated, it is very important that you do not change any of the names of the column headers (otherwise the import will not work). Additionally, we have hidden some columns - e.g. column C(Middle name) - however, this will not affect imports. When Outlook imports your contact list, it will check the data in the columns under each heading and insert the data it finds into the new contact's profile.

Contacts should be added to spreadsheet one after another, without leaving empty lines between them. One more thing important note: If you add Grant St. Move to the category column for each of the stakeholders and team members, after you import this information into Outlook Contacts, you can filter in Outlook by category, which is called Grant St. Move to find all contacts associated with this project. If you have a list of contacts of employees of the site popraktike.ru, then the import procedure will be similar.

Let's say we want to import into our contact list contact information by Steve Green, our senior network administrator, and Aimee Owen, his deputy. We have already entered the information we know into each of the columns, starting with Title(Name), FirstName(Name), LastName(Last name), etc. Next we go to Outlook and select the command File → lmport and Export(File → Import and Export). As a result of its execution, a dialog box will appear on the screen Import and Export Wizard(Master). As shown in Fig. 2, select an item from the list Import from Another Program or File(Import from another program or file) and click the button Next(Further).

In the next wizard dialog box, select the item Microsoft Excel 97-2003 to tell the program the type of file from which you want to import data. Click the button Next. In the next dialog box of the wizard, enter the path and name of the file that contains the imported data. In Group Options(Options) Select one of the following radio buttons: Replace duplicates with items imported(Replace similar posts), Allow duplicates to be created(Create copies of duplicates of similar entries) or Do not import duplicate items(Do not import similar entries). Click the button Next(Further).

In the next wizard dialog box, select the Outlook folder in which you want to save the imported contacts. Of course, you will most likely select the Contacts folder. Click the button Next, and then on the button Finish(Ready). If you have properly prepared your file for import, the new data will appear in the Contacts folder.

Now that our team members have been added to our contacts list and properly imported into Outlook Contacts, we'll look at the equipment and materials we might need to complete our project.
