It is known that the desktop interface in OS Windows is an open large folder. The user gets used to this and over time completely loses sight of this circumstance. However, it is still necessary to remember this. Especially when, after turning on the computer, instead of the usual desktop, you see only the wallpaper, while all the shortcuts and the panel with the Start button have disappeared without a trace.

Monitor with beautiful wallpaper looks good in itself, but for practical work hardly suitable. To restore your usual desktop pattern, try restarting your computer. There is hope that this is a temporary problem and after a reboot everything will fall into place. But as practice shows, reboot rarely helps in such a situation.

Since the desktop is a large folder, it is logical to assume that Explorer is responsible for its functioning and design, and more precisely a file Explorer.exe. But the problem is that Explorer.exe itself rarely takes liberties, unless it is one that, once on the computer, penetrates the system registry. In order to get rid of the consequences of virus activity on your computer and restore your desktop, you need to gain access to the Windows OS registry editor. Press the Alt+Ctrl+Del buttons. Launch the system task manager, in which you need to find the “file” item. In the submenu that opens, select the line “ New task", then click on the inscription regedid.

In the Windows OS registry editor that opens, find and delete the keys that were placed here by malware. They usually refer to the Image file execution options parameter and look something like this:

Installing a beautiful clock widget is not difficult and free, but after experimenting, I chose Timely.

It is an alarm program, clock, stopwatch and timer in one. Moreover, it has a minimalist, simple and clear interface.

The application itself consists of three screens. The first one has alarms that you can easily manage and set for the appropriate days of the week. Of course, you can also choose personal melody signal.

On the second screen classic watch. Their appearance can be changed: style and background. The last screen provides access to the stopwatch and timer.

You can easily switch between these functions using vertical gestures. There is also wonderful animation built in.

Switching between timer and stopwatch looks amazing. As if that weren't enough, every change of numbers on the watch display looks crazy.
