Corel MotionStudio 3D+Russifier program

The Canadian company Corel presented New Product called MotionStudio 3D in its Digital Media series.
This product was Corel's first attempt to release a full-fledged toolkit not only for creating 3D titles, but also for full-fledged animation, suitable for use in the most ambitious creative projects.

1.Unpack the archive with the program.

One of the disadvantages of working with Corel MotionStudio 3D means there are no video lessons on it in Russian. But, if possible, I will try to fix this.

Here is a video tutorial on the program interface that I did with voice all day for the first time. Don’t judge strictly, I’ll practice over time and maybe I’ll learn to speak better :)

In which I will explain to you the principles of drawing 3D objects in perspective - a cube, a parallelepiped and a pyramid, which can be elements of buildings, technology or simply abstract graphics. The lesson is designed for beginners. The principles explained will be useful for creating design elements for various purposes.

At the beginning of the lesson, I will briefly talk about the main points using a cube as an example, which will help you understand the principles of drawing 3D objects. If something seems complicated to you, then don’t pay attention, in reality there is no science in all this.

1. 3D space has three axes corresponding to the sides of the cube. They pass through the centers of parallel sides. The picture shows these axes:

2. 3D space has three points into which the lines of the sides of objects converge - these are two points on the horizon and one point below. The points correspond to the directions of the axes. See example:

3. You can reduce the number of convergence points, making the image more conventional. Most often, the bottom point is not taken into account, vertical lines are drawn strictly vertically, and the image becomes like this:

Let's start drawing. First we need to put points - two on the horizon line and one below. Just draw two circles on same height, and one below, and we shift the bottom circle towards any circle (this will be more clear):

Why mugs? Their centers will be points of convergence of perspective. This is especially useful when snapping is running in CorelDRAW. Now select the Polyline tool (Polyline, Polyline) on the left panel to draw straight lines:

Move this tool to the center of any circle - if blue tooltips appear, then snaps are enabled, and if not, then turn them on by pressing Alt + Z. Snapping is a special behavior of the cursor when it finds itself convenient points shapes and lines, such as their intersection or their middle and ends. Also, in snapping mode, the cursor can find the centers of shapes, quarter circles, and so on, and position itself at these points when moving.

To draw with the selected Polyline tool, you need to click in the place where the beginning of the future line will be, then double-click in the place where the line ends. If you forgot to double-click at the end and the line unpleasantly drags behind the cursor, then press the Esc key (escape) and draw it again.

We must draw three lines coming from the center of the lower circle and slightly diverging in a bunch:

Now, double-clicking on the middle line, we try to shorten it by dragging the ends of the line to the middle:

Undesirable moments may lie in wait here - lines can be connected, and shifting one point changes two lines at once. In this case, click on the point and press the Break Curve button on top panel. The point should split into two. But the lines will not be separated yet, they will still stand out as one line. To disconnect them, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + K.
