Why is there no Urals region on the tricolor? Why does the message “Region list not available” appear and how can I solve this problem? Instructions for setting up the Tricolor channel list for receivers GS E501, GS E502, GS C591, GS C5911, GS U510

Errors often occur in broadcasting TV channels, and sometimes it is not the client’s fault at all. Irregular signal reception, equipment breakdowns and faulty software - this is an incomplete list of what subscribers have to deal with. One of common mistakes in the TricolorTV broadcast it is referred to as “The list of regions is not available.” Why does it occur, and how to “get” your picture back - read on. __________________________________________________________________________________

Cause of the problem

A similar problem can occur in certain cases:

  1. You just changed your receiver as part of a trade-in program and the new equipment is not calibrated correctly.
  2. The angle of the antenna does not allow receiving a signal.
  3. The old converter on the dish does not have enough power.
  4. The connection cables were damaged - especially if the damage affected the braid.
  5. A contact failure has occurred in the F-connectors on the plate.
  6. The smart card was inserted incorrectly into the receiver.
  7. Normal system failure.
  8. The receiver is connected to the TV in several ways at once.

The most common cause of such an error is the loss of the desired signal level - be it due to damage to the plate, its incorrect tilt, or damaged wire contacts. Next comes insufficient power converter that needs to be replaced with a more powerful one, and the card’s position in the slot is incorrect.

The cause can be diagnosed step by step:

  1. First check the signal level - it should be more than 70% on both scales. If it is smaller, or there is no gradation at all, check the antenna.

Important! If you installed a new receiver and the error appears on it, it is likely that everything will continue to work fine with the old receiver. Then we can talk about the power of the converter, which is not enough to operate the new equipment.

  1. Check how the antenna is connected - contacts and connectors may fail, and wires may break or fray. One of the damages could have caused the error to appear.
  2. If everything is in order with the wires, check whether the antenna angle corresponds to the required one and whether there are any obstacles to the signal. Eliminate them if possible.
  3. Check the smart card slot or press the button on the remote control to view the ID - if the card is incorrectly positioned, the screen will display a phrase about this.
  4. Check how many cords connect the receiver to the TV. There should only be one connection type.

In each of these cases, the algorithm for eliminating the error will be different.

How to fix

Resolving the error about the missing list of regions depends on why the failure occurred in the first place.

If the problem is with the antenna, you should recalibrate it or even new setting. Rotate the plate gradually, revealing the signal information on the TV screen, until the scales begin to fill. Leave the dish in such a position that the signal level is determined to be 70% or higher on two scales simultaneously. Then you can try to start broadcasting TV channels again.

If you can’t achieve this signal level, check the connectors on the antenna, the wires routed to the receiver, and all contacts. It can be difficult to find a breakdown on your own in this way, so the intervention of a technician is recommended. The most obvious will be breaks and abrasions on the wires - the wire can be replaced or patched up.

If the problem arose because you replaced the receiver with a new one, you need to check whether the converter on the antenna has enough power for the equipment to work as it should. In most cases, it turns out that this part will need to be replaced in order for the new receiver to work.

If you find that the error is related to incorrect installation smart card, you need to rearrange it to the correct side. However, take your time, to carry out this procedure you must first turn off the equipment completely, and then you can touch the card. After you have rearranged it correctly, turn on the receiver again and initiate a new channel setup. It may take some time.

And finally, if you decide to connect the receiver to your TV in several ways, you need to choose just one. Parallel connection will not allow channels to be broadcast, since the receiver will not understand how to recode the signal received from the satellite.

If none of the above helps, contact the company’s technical support - TricolorTV must send you a technician to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.

On July 31, 2017, changes were made in broadcasting aimed at dividing regional TV channels into appropriate lists and designed to make viewing these TV channels more convenient.

When you select the “Main” region, one information channel will be saved in the channel list.

10. Wait until the search for TV channels is completed and save the found TV channels.

Subscribers of the satellite company Tricolor often ask how to tune channels 2 hours earlier. Since the beginning of spring 2013, service users in the Urals have had access to all-Russian TV channels with a broadcast shift of 2-3 hours around Moscow. And also the channels in such broadcasting are available to those who use the provider’s equipment working with the format MPEG-4.

For clients living in the Urals, channels with a broadcast offset of 2 hours should appear automatically. If they are not available, it is recommended that you contact your local dealer.

Users living in the European part need to configure the receiver themselves. You can only configure certain models consoles.

How to watch provider TV channels on two TVs

This problem can be easily solved; to do this, you need to purchase a TV splitter and make a separation from the connecting cable to the second screen. You can also buy a video sender and connect it to your TV.

But in order to watch different Tricolor TV channels on two TVs you need optional equipment. Several years ago, the company released a double set of equipment, which is already designed for watching Tricolor television on 2 screens. The kit operates from one smart card.

The equipment set includes:

  1. Two consoles, the main GS E501, and the additional GS C591.
  2. Two remotes.
  3. Connecting elements (2 sets).
  4. Instructions.
  5. Agreement.

The set operates in the DVD-S-DVD-S2 broadcast format and is equipped with all necessary functions(TV guide, timer, USB).

Connection

Connect the convector and GS E501 using a cable, connectors LNB1IN and LNB 2 are used. The main tuner GS E501 is connected to the receiver-agent GS C591 using an Internet cable, connectors marked ETHERNET are used.

Then a smart card is inserted into the tuner, and two receivers are connected to the TV. If the installation is carried out correctly, then after connecting the equipment to the power supply, the “SETUP WIZARD” program will appear.

Equipment setup

To configure the main receiver GS E501 in the “SETUP WIZARD” application, you need to select a language and select the appropriate video format resolution. To do this, in the tab "Set scope" Using the up/down and left/right keys, extend the green area over the TV area. After completing the procedure, press "FORWARD".

In the “MENU” tab that appears, you need to configure the time and date parameters. The subscriber can select “AUTOMATED SETUP” or “MANUAL SETUP”. After completing the procedure, press “FORWARD”.

A window will appear where you need to connect the set-top boxes to local network, and establish a connection. The user needs to activate the tab "Ethernet 0" select in the box that appears correct parameters, confirm them, and configure the connection between the main receiver and the sub.

The next step is to select an operator, confirm the data by pressing the “OK” key, and then click the “Continue” button. In the tab that opens, select the broadcasting region, confirm the operation by clicking “OK”, and the channel scanning procedure will begin. When the search for TV channels is finished, click “OK”, leave the tuner on, and wait for the picture to appear.

The GS E501 setup is complete. Setting up the second GS C591 receiver is carried out in a similar way to the main receiver.

This problem, or rather an insidious inscription, very often arises if you connected new equipment after you made an exchange under the “Equipment Exchange” promotion from the satellite company Tricolor TV, especially often this problem occurs precisely when connecting a new model of the exchange receiver DRE B210 or B211.

When exchanging this particular equipment for an exchange promotion, various misunderstandings constantly occur in terms of the fact that, for example, after searching for Tricolor TV channels, the message “List of regions is not available” pops up, although the previous equipment worked perfectly well. In many cases, this causes confusion among Tricolor subscribers, leaving them with an unpleasant feeling that they were simply deceived. How so? After all, before this, the old equipment worked perfectly!!! The specialists of the company Smoltorg.RF independently figured out this problem, which, as it turned out, was later easily resolved. So, when you connect a new Tricolor GS B210 or GS B211 receiver to the Tricolor TV channel search menu, a few seconds after the search the message “The list of regions is not available” pops up. after all, a list of regions should first appear, after which selection occurs automatic setting to Tricolor channels transmitted from satellite.
First of all, it is worth noting that in addition to the lack of a list of regions, there is no signal level and quality, the two scales on the screen below are completely empty, as if the antenna is not configured correctly, but as it turns out later this is absolutely not the case. Also, if instead of the B210 receiver, which is connected to the DRE 5000, DRE 7300 receiver, the scales immediately appear and the signal level is quite high. Already one gets the opposite impression that it’s just the faulty new receiver. We tried to connect another exchange that participated in the exchange promotion earlier. The DRE 8308 receiver works properly with this antenna, the signal level and quality are also good. This only confirmed the conclusion that the new 210 receiver was not working properly, but the conclusion later turned out to be premature. To test, we took five new B210 receivers and connected them to the antenna one by one and tried to tune them, but it was no use. Any of these receivers independently, with different cards they were checked (with access cards), or with one alternately rearranged from one new receiver to another, the TV gave a message about the lack of a list of regions, rebooting the receiver did not help, as well as multiple resets to factory settings, which had previously helped out with all sorts of problems in previous ones receivers, in this case it is useless. All new receivers tested on other antennas worked properly. If it was possible to easily set up an exchange 210 receiver on another antenna, then when you transfer it and connect it to a seemingly serviceable and tuned (tested) antenna that works well with receivers like 5000 or 7300, the following happens;

On some channels the inscription “No Signal” is displayed. On others there is another inscription, “Coded channel.” Others, on the contrary, go very well, all this happens in a chaotic order without any a certain sequence. Various changes in connection methods via cords such as SCART (skart), RCA3 + RCA3 (tulips), HDMI (ajdi-mi-ai) do not give any result, most of the channels are not shown, and when re-search channels the notorious message “List of regions not found” pops up. That is, the search for channels still does not show anything except an inscription about the absence of a list of regions. After checking all the receivers and the antenna settings, we replaced the cable with the old convector (installed on the antenna) with a new one, after which everything immediately began to work normally.

Conclusion: the old, even working convectors simply do not have enough power to work with the new 210 receiver model. It is advisable to replace them, especially if they have already stood for more than 5-6 years and were sold together with old ones.

The second reason is usually a poorly connected and configured antenna or bad contact"F" connector. Both on the convector and on the receiver.

Well, the third is usually an incorrectly inserted card. You need to check the ID display on your receiver by pressing the corresponding button on the remote control. If instead of the number the message “Smart card not inserted” appears, you need to insert it correctly. In the 210 receiver it is inserted from the side, all the way, with the board facing down, deep into the receiver.

When connecting the 210 receiver to the TV, you should pay attention to the fact that it is not connected through several cords at the same time. Since the 210 model automatically determines the type of connection to the TV. And if in previous models You need to constantly switch the Output Signal button on the remote control when changing the connection type, but in this model it is detected automatically and when connecting several cords, equipment failure may occur.

Another reason for the appearance of the message “the list of regions is not available” may be a burr, a piece of wire or foil that shorts to the central core. This very often occurs when connecting a new receiver, or when reconnection old, for example after moving the receiver from one place to another.

Malfunctions can occur in the operation of any equipment, and Tricolor TV receivers are no exception to this rule. There are situations when channels from paid packages disappear on a set-top box, and it becomes impossible to use the television service. Fortunately, to fix this problem it is not at all necessary to call a technician from Tricolor TV. Setting up channels yourself will take very little time, even for an unprepared subscriber.

Checking the satellite signal

Despite the fact that the Tricolor company provides its specialists for installing and configuring equipment, many subscribers prefer to carry out these operations on their own. As a result, when you first start using the dish, there are often failures in receiving a signal from the satellite. This may cause broadcast interference and loss of television programs. Therefore, before moving on to the settings, it is worth checking the signal level at the antenna.

How to check the signal?

To check the signal level from the satellite, you need to press the “i” key on the receiver’s remote control twice. After this, two scales will appear on the screen:

  • Signal quality;
  • Signal level.

For normal operation systems, their readings should be at 70%. If the scale values are smaller, it is worth carrying out additional settings antennas. Its position is changed until the scale readings become satisfactory.

Important! Often when self-configuration subscribers set the scale values to minimum. As a result, with the slightest change in weather (cloudiness, precipitation, etc.), the receiving capacity of the antenna drops and broadcasting disappears. It is necessary to try to bring the level and quality of the signal to at least 85% in order to be insured against such troubles.

Recovering a missing broadcast

If satellite signal normally, you will have to carry out some operations with the receiver. Step-by-step setup Tricolor TV channels will look different, depending on how the equipment behaves. There are two options:

  • all TV channels disappeared;
  • only one is displayed.

Let's take a closer look at the actions in each situation.

There is no channel

If there is no broadcasting on all frequencies, you need to press the “Menu” button on the remote control and go to the settings section. Depending on the receiver model, it may be called either “Settings” or “Applications”.

Next in this section, using the remote control, you need to find the “Search for channels...” subsection and go into it. The equipment will carry out search operations for some time. Then a list of found channels will be displayed on the screen. The set-top box will offer to save them - this must be done so that you do not repeat the described operations each time you turn it on. To save, just click the “Yes” button in the pop-up dialog box.

One channel displayed

There are situations when, as a result of some user action, broadcasting disappears on all frequencies except one. In this case, the receiver shows a channel with the name “View instructions”, and all other programs included in the package are missing. Resetting the TV set-top box to factory settings and then restoring it will help here.

To reset to factory settings, you need to press the “Menu” button on the remote control and go to the “Settings” or “Applications” section (depending on the receiver model). In this section, select “Factory settings” and press the OK button. To confirm the reset, you will need to press the Info or F1 key on the remote control, and then select the answer “Yes” in the dialog box that appears.

During the reset process, the set-top box will automatically reboot. At the end of this process, a message about the identification of the remote control will appear on the TV screen with a recommendation for pressing the desired button. The recommendation should be followed, after which a table of settings will appear on the screen. It will not cause any difficulties for subscribers who installed the equipment themselves, since they have already encountered it. For the rest, we'll tell you a little more:

  • in the “Selection of languages” table, select Russian as the menu and audio language1;
  • Audio2 language can be left unchanged;
  • in the “Operator” section select Tricolor TV;
  • in the “UTC Shift” section, select your time zone, or the one closest to it;
  • in the line “Update from satellite” set the value “Yes”;
  • in the “Automatic search” section in the “antenna” line, select “Tricolor TV”.

Important! If the set-top box is connected to the antenna via standard scheme, in the last section you don’t have to change the default values.

Separately, the rules for setting up the region should be noted. The subscriber is offered three options:

  • basic;
  • MSK +0;
  • MSK +2.

You should not select the first item, otherwise the receiver will save only one info-TV channel, and the others will be unavailable. If you select the “+0” option, the broadcast will be conducted according to Moscow time. If you select “+2”, the programs will be available with a two-hour shift from Moscow. You should set one of these two types of time zones based on your own convenience.

At this point the settings are considered complete. After saving them, the console will start automatic search available channels. Based on its results, a list of what was found will be displayed on the screen, which the subscriber will only have to save. To do this, you will need to click the “Yes” button in the dialog box that appears.

Setting up television receivers with a built-in receiver

For of this type equipment will require manual tuning of Tricolor TV channels. You can do it yourself by switching the TV to setup mode antenna equipment. Way to this section may vary depending on specific model TV, so you should refer to the instructions supplied with the equipment.

Settings options

Having entered the desired section, select the item “ Manual setting", where the following equipment parameters are set:

  • On – in the “Network Search” column;
  • 12226 – in the line “Transponder frequency”;
  • 27500 – in the “Symbol Rate” section;
  • the name of the standard Tricolor TV satellite is in the “Satellite” section.

These parameters are set using the remote control and saved. Next, they start searching for channels, during which they act based on the clues that appear on the TV screen. Based on the search results, the list of found channels is saved.

Attention! Some TV receiver models with CI+ module do not offer list saving automatically. For them, it will be necessary to clarify in the instructions how the search results are saved.
