The most important difference from the old version of the application is that Boom now has paid subscriptions that expand the capabilities of this service.

The main screen of the application is the VKontakte news feed, into which publications containing audio tracks are filtered. If you subscribe to music publics, then such a feed can be very interesting. It also has a built-in horizontally scrollable block with new releases.

There is no full-fledged catalog or search for release versions of albums, singles and collections in the application; the content is scattered in different places. The user can catalog it independently in the same way as on a social network - adding each track individually to his collection. In this respect, Boom is inferior to other music services that are filled by professionals. However, some albums are still presented in their entirety, but finding them is not so easy: to do this you need to launch the track, expand it to full screen (by clicking on its name), open the menu and select “Go to album”.

Another “non-obvious” function is displaying song lyrics. To see the lyrics, you need to again expand the track to full screen, and then click on its cover or on the microphone icon.
