Good afternoon, dear readers of the blog site. This article will be useful to those people who recently purchased a multifunctional SmartTV. Unfortunately, most of them are in English, but there are also Russian ones. However, you can find something worthwhile here and there.

Accordingly, if you don’t know which application to install, you can simply look for something suitable in terms of entertainment and watching videos.

If you are sure of the name of a certain widget, but cannot find it in the numerous list, then you should use the search, which is located just above the list of categories.

If you have chosen exactly what you wanted, it’s time to proceed directly to installing the application on your smart TV. In principle, there is nothing complicated here and there should be no problems. To begin with, using the control panel, select the application we need by moving the cursor. Next, press the “OK” selection button and a more detailed description will open in front of you and, accordingly, you will be able to click the install (download) button.

In fact, after the operations have been completed, the application will begin automatic installation and after a short time a window will appear in front of you informing you of completion. This is actually the whole process of installing smart TV applications and, as I said earlier, it is absolutely not difficult.

How to delete an application on smart TV

After a certain time, you may stop using certain widgets, or immediately after installation you will understand that it either does not suit you or is not needed, and you don’t want to clutter up the so-called desktop, since among the wide variety it will be very problematic to find what you want . To do this, as with all devices, it is possible to delete applications on smart TV.

To do this, as described above, you need to go to the Samsung Apps section and select the “Downloaded Applications” section from the left menu.

I would like to note that it is possible to remove applications from the TV only those that were installed by the user. It is not possible to get rid of those that were preinstalled on the TV before purchasing, but since there are not many of them, they are not very annoying with their presence.

Finally, I would like to say that such situations happen when during installation, for reasons unknown to us, an error pops up and the corresponding application is simply not installed. In order to solve this problem it is necessary.

For almost ten years now, many have been predicting the death of traditional television and its replacement by the Internet.

Obviously, such “extinction” should have affected the direct “source” of television – television.

But the reality turned out to be somewhat different: home TVs, like most modern household appliances and electronics, have taken the path of symbiosis with computers, while at the same time being closely integrated with the Internet and its services.

The first herald of this technological process, which is often called the “smart home” system, was Smart TV.

The essence of Smart TV technology is quite simple: using a module built into the TV or a connected receiver, the TV actually turns into a tablet that has a number of specialized functions.

Of course, first of all, such a device is intended for watching various films and TV series directly via the Internet.

But you can also play interactive games, visit websites through the built-in browser, and perform many other activities that were previously only possible with computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Getting started with Smart TV

Since the South Korean brand is one of the most popular manufacturers of TVs with the function in question, setup and connect Samsung Smart TV.

Conventionally, this process can be divided into two stages: hardware and software connection.

The first includes physically connecting the set-top box, as well as setting up a network connection on it or directly on the TV.

This procedure is not that difficult, but it has a number of nuances, so it is worth devoting a separate article to it.

First, let's look at this process using the example of a J series TV (2015).

1. First, you need to prepare a flash drive on which the files of the installed programs will be placed. It must have a file system in FAT32 format.

2. Then a folder called “userwidgets” is created on it and the files of the necessary widgets are copied into it.

Advice: The files must be in a ZIP archive, otherwise the TV simply will not recognize them.

3. After this, the flash drive is inserted into the turned on TV, which should automatically recognize new programs. A corresponding pop-up message will inform you about the start of the process.

4. A pop-up message at the top of the screen will also indicate the successful completion of the procedure.

5. Installed widgets will be located in the “My Apps” subsection of the “Applications” section. Removing user programs is carried out in the standard way.

All this is very similar to working with a regular desktop computer.

But older TV models from Samsung, for example, the previous H series, are not so convenient in terms of customizing custom software.
