Performance and optimization iOS 12 is the fastest iOS ever

The main focus of iOS 12 is on increasing productivity. Apple, as predicted, wanted to restore the reputation of iOS at any cost after the disastrous launch of iOS 11. As a result, iOS 12 became two times faster iOS 11.

Apple developers have tried so hard that iOS 12:

  • launches applications 40% (!) faster compared to iOS 11;
  • 50% faster keyboard operation;
  • opens the Camera application and performs any actions in it 70% (!) faster.

The most important thing is that such a performance increase occurred on absolutely all models of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Including the oldest models, which will be five years old this year. We are talking about the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad mini 2, which are widespread in Russia and the CIS countries. All these devices not only received support for iOS 12 (although according to Apple’s usual rules they should not have), but were also significantly accelerated.

Apple has officially announced that iOS 12 feels “faster than ever” in live environments. The company executives specifically emphasized that this applies most strongly to the iPhone 5s and iPad Air, so users of these models can expect a truly great experience using their devices running iOS 12.

Comparisons of iOS 12 with iOS 11 confirm that performance has greatly improved in the new operating system. Detailed comparisons of iOS 12 and iOS 11 are available at the links below:

Accelerated animation

In addition to optimizing iOS 12 to increase speed, Apple developers have also speeded up the animation of most actions. As a result of this, the performance of iOS 12 compared to iOS 11 has increased even more. Below is a clear example of changing animation speed and its direct impact on the overall feel of the operating system.

Accelerated QuickType keyboard

We have already written about the fact that the standard iOS 12 keyboard has become much faster. But it’s worth focusing on this improvement again. Simply because the keyboard has received a truly rapid operating speed. The animation below shows the improvements most clearly.

FaceTime, Animoji and Memoji

New Animoji

There will also be new Animoji for the iPhone X, and in the near future for the three new iPhone models that will be presented in September. To the already impressive list of Animoji were added: koala, tiger, ghost and tyrannosaurus. The peculiarity of the new Animoji is that they incredibly accurately convey not only facial expressions, but also tongue movements. Previously, this had not happened either with Apple or, of course, with other manufacturers, whose Animoji analogues look truly ridiculous compared to the high-quality models of the iPhone manufacturer.

Ability to record Animoji for 30 seconds

iPhone X users have the ability to record short videos using Animoji to send to friends. In iOS 11, such videos could only have a maximum length of 10 seconds. In iOS 12, Apple offered Animoji video recording for a full 30 seconds.

Improved Animoji selection interface

Selecting Animoji in iOS 12 has become more convenient. If previously in the Messages application the list of Animoji was vertical, now it is horizontal with large thumbnails. Animoji can be selected by swiping left or right. In addition, it is possible to open a complete list of all available Animoji by swiping up.

Memoji (memoji)

Memoji is Apple's answer to Samsung and its Animoji counterpart. Presenting the Galaxy S9, Samsung introduced AR Emoji - animated emoticons based not on a cartoon character, but on the user's face. The quality of AR Emoji left much to be desired, so Samsung's innovation was called a failure. Apple got a similar “feature” with a solid five points.

Memoji do not scan a person’s face; they are created in a special editor in the Messages application. This editor features hundreds of different face parts and accessories, allowing you to create a character that truly resembles the user. Once created, the characters can be used to write messages to friends, as is the case with regular Animoji. The function is for entertainment, nothing more, but even Apple implemented it in its own style - perfectly.

Support for stickers, animoji and memoji in FaceTime

In group or personal video calls using FaceTime in iOS 12, users can use additional entertainment tools. Apple has given users the ability to send stickers during a conversation, as well as activate Animoji or Memoji in order to appear in front of friends in various cartoon images.

iMessage

Processing photos and videos in iMessage

The Messages app in iOS 12 has added the ability to process sent photos or videos as quickly as possible. Users are invited to apply Animoji to the video or add one of the many effects, text, or an object, such as an arrow or a checkmark, to the photo. A new feature in the Messages app aims to make it easier to process photos and videos you send.

Full shooting mode in the Messages app

When you take a photo or video from the Messages app to send instantly in iOS 12, the camera goes into full screen mode. Thanks to this, users will have a much better chance of creating high-quality photos or videos the first time. In previous versions of iOS, the camera window was a small square right in the application interface.

The panel with stickers and extensions has moved

The panel with stickers, Animoji, and various app extensions in the Messages app in iOS 12 has moved. It is located above the keyboard, and not below it, as it was before. The new placement of the panel is much more convenient, in particular, because there are much fewer accidental clicks on it. As in iOS 11, there is no way to hide the panel completely.

Quick shortcuts in the Messages app

In iOS 12, tapping a contact's name in the Messages app opens a new panel with Quick Shortcuts. They allow you to connect with a contact via audio or video via FaceTime and view detailed information about them. In previous versions of iOS there was no such panel; you could only call a caller by pressing hard on his icon.

ARKit 2 - new augmented reality

With the arrival of iOS 12, Apple will launch a new and improved ARKit 2.0 augmented reality platform. The updated platform will allow developers to create impressive applications and games with support for augmented reality. Applications built with ARKit 2 can be used by multiple people at the same time. They can view augmented reality objects from different angles, which greatly expands the capabilities of applications.

Roulette application

ARKit 2 also allows you to measure objects. iOS 12 introduces a new app called Measure, which offers the ability to quickly and easily determine the size of even relatively large real-world objects.

To measure an object, you need to point the camera at it and place two points on it. The measurement occurs instantly, and most importantly - with the highest accuracy. Similar roulette applications based on the first versions of ARKit have been presented in the App Store for a long time, but they cannot compare with Apple’s Roulette.

The Roulette application has not appeared on all devices that support iOS 12. The new useful utility has become available only on iPhones and iPads with ARKit support:

  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone 6s
  • iPhone 6s Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone X
  • iPad Pro (all models)
  • iPhone 2017
  • iPhone 2018

New location of the “Level” function

The standard “Level” function has changed its usual location on ARKit-enabled devices. If previously it was located in the Compass application, now it has its own tab in the Roulette application.

Screen Time feature

At the beginning of 2018, human rights activists drew attention to the fact that teenagers are spending more and more time on smartphones and tablets, in particular on iPhones and iPads. Several departments immediately asked Apple to somehow influence the situation. Apple didn’t have to do much persuading, and iOS 12 introduced a new “Screen Time” feature.

The feature allows you to monitor how users spend time using their iPhone and iPad. The function works in a similar way to the option for monitoring battery consumption, showing a graph of mobile device usage and specific activity in certain applications. Users have the ability to set activity restrictions in any applications and games installed on their iPhone or iPad.

Thanks to the new feature, parents can limit the use of “harmful” applications for their children in the easiest way. For example, if your child watches too much YouTube, then in iOS 12 you can set a limit on watching videos in the application. When the time limit you specify reaches the end, the application will stop running.

Block all distracting apps

One of the main features of the new Screen Time feature is the option to block all applications except those that the user has added to the allowed list. Applications can be blocked for a specific period of time or according to a specified schedule. An hourglass icon appears on applications that are blocked for use, which indicates that the application cannot be opened at this time.

The function will be useful not only for parents who want to limit their children's use of various applications or games. Many users may well want to set limits for themselves, for example during periods of active work or study, when the iPhone or iPad is one of the most distracting factors.

Screen Time widget

The Screen Time feature also has its own widget. It allows you to quickly and easily see today's iPhone or iPad usage statistics on the widget page.

Redesigned “Notification Center”

One of the most long-awaited and user-requested innovations is the updated Notification Center. Apple listened to consumers and provided them with flexible notification list settings. In iOS 12, users were able to group notifications by application, as well as manage notifications directly from the Notification Center.

“Smart” notification grouping

By default, iPhones and iPads running iOS 12 have smart notification grouping enabled for all apps. Notifications are grouped not just by application, but also taking into account the preferences of each specific user. Thanks to this, the most important notifications always appear at the top of the list, which will be especially convenient for those users who receive a large number of notifications from various applications.

Quickly set up notifications for any application

In iOS 12, users have the ability to immediately access app notification settings directly from the Notification Center. To do this, you need to hold down on any incoming notification, click on the icon ( ) and select “Settings”. A very convenient option that will allow you to change the type of notifications from applications in a matter of seconds and without having to delve into the settings.

Quickly mute notification sounds for specific apps

Another nice tweak to Notification Center. By holding down on any notification and clicking the familiar icon ( ), users have the opportunity to silence all notifications from the selected application in two clicks. In this case, notifications will continue to appear in the Notification Center, but there will be no sound when they appear.

New notification settings interface

There is also a small but pleasant change in the notification settings themselves. Large and clear thumbnails have appeared on the notification settings page that show exactly how notifications will be displayed on the screen.

Improved Do Not Disturb mode

Do Not Disturb mode, as we predicted, has become better in iOS 12. With the update, it offers more flexible settings. So, you can quickly turn it on for only 1 hour, until the end of the current event from the “Calendar” or, for example, before leaving the current geoposition.

We present a detailed review of iOS 12: what's new in the mobile OS and is it worth upgrading to the latest version?

In September 2018, Apple introduced the new iOS 12, which promises to be the most productive mobile OS in the last 5 years.

Despite the fact that the beta build appeared back in June, the official release surprised us with new options and improvements. Now working with iPhone and iPad has become even more convenient.

Improved performance

The latest iOS 11 update brings more customization options to iPhone and iPad. However, many users complained that from year to year Apple releases the same type of OS builds without visible improvements. iOS 12 takes everything to the next level.

Everyone spent most of the summer studying the beta version of iOS 12, but the developers were holding back some really interesting updates until the official release.

The new OS significantly affects the operation of the operating system. IOS 12 includes support for artificial intelligence methods.

As with the principles of any AI, the more you use it, the better it will perform.

Since everyone uses their iPhone every day, the functionality of the features will only improve over time.

Thanks to smart algorithms, within a few days after installing the OS you will notice that the system begins to offer you the most suitable applications and options for performing actions. Everything is aimed at simplifying interaction with the phone.

Apple's main goal with iOS 12 is to provide an operating system that runs equally fast on all devices, new and old.

iOS 12 interacts with the smartphone hardware in such a way that the system begins to consume less battery resources, but works much faster.

Other improvements include the use of animated effects, which are now smoother and faster.

Users have noticed a good improvement in performance on older iPhone models.

Testing has shown that when installing the operating system on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 Plus, the gadget's performance increased by an average of 15%-20%.

If you are still having problems updating, it may be due to an outdated battery. It is enough to replace the battery for the new OS to work without problems.

It is worth noting the autonomy of the iPhone with the new iOS 12. Regardless of the gadget model, the firmware allows you to extend the battery life by several hours.

Since less than a month has passed since the release of iOS 12, it is too early to talk about large-scale changes.

Also, the new line of iPhones is still undergoing testing and popularization among users. However, we can already say that iOS 12 is perfectly compatible with the IPhone XS and IPhone XS Max.

Apple's A12 Bionic chipset “knows how” to efficiently use battery life, so gadgets can not be recharged throughout the day and by the evening they will still be charged by 25%-30% (and this is subject to active work).

Organized Notifications

Every iPhone or iPad user is familiar with the endless list of notifications on the lock screen.

Chaotic text messages, news announcements, notifications on social networks, emails - all this has become extremely inconvenient for users.

It was difficult to track down truly important and useful information.

Fortunately, Apple borrowed a feature from Android, which was noted even by many users of Apple technology.

iOS 12 now groups your notifications. Everything is neatly organized into separate tabs that appear on the screen depending on the type of notification or application.

This greatly improves the iOS experience and allows you to quickly access each category of notification based on its importance and necessity.

You can choose which notifications you want to turn off to show on your lock screen, so you don't end up with tons of unnecessary messages throughout the day. When you receive a notification, swipe left and tap Manage. This allows you to deactivate them. Alternatively, you can tap the Quiet button and the notification will appear in the Notification Center rather than on the lock screen.

Do Not Disturb feature has been updated

When Apple first introduced Do Not Disturb, it didn't include any customization options other than the ability to turn the option on or off.

With iOS 12, you can now set specific time frames to turn things on and off automatically, without having to do it manually.

Another interesting feature is the Do Not Disturb function while you sleep. You can configure its operation in such a way that pop-up notifications will not appear on your phone screen at night.

Also, calls will be disconnected. An excellent feature for those who cannot sleep due to the habit of constantly checking all notifications.

Every evening at 10 o'clock the smartphone display goes dark and remains silent all night until 7 am.

After Do Not Disturb mode is automatically turned off, the “Good morning” greeting appears on the email.

Also, the gadget will show the latest weather data and turn on the alarm that you set in advance. A simple and convenient solution for organizing sleep and starting the day.

Screen time

The need of users to constantly use smartphones is becoming more tangible every year.

Now in the iOS 12 settings there is an improved “Screen Time” tab.

It allows you to view your phone's activity hours and set time limits for each application separately.

Many users were surprised to see statistics on the use of their gadgets. In the settings you can even see how many times per hour you pick up your smartphone.

If, based on the results of the report, you realized that you work with your phone too often, you can enable restrictions for installed software. This will allow you to organize your time more efficiently.

The next time you try to turn on the application, your smartphone will remind you that there is a restriction.

Also, you can disable all blocking at any time without having to go to the settings window again.

In the "Screen Time" section there is a "Idle Time" function. It allows you to schedule a period of time when notifications are completely turned off, which is similar to how Do Not Disturb works. The idea is to make sure there are no distractions from your work.

New "smart"Siri

Commands can be recorded through the new Shortcuts app.

Developers are still testing this feature, so users can only assign a limited number of tasks.

Also, with the help of Siri, you can easily turn on maps and find the path you need.

One of the best Siri updates, according to users - These are tooltips and suggestions.

Since everyone uses search engines every day, Siri Suggestions makes it easier to find the information you need.

If you're chatting with a friend on Messenger, Siri may suggest you send one of the options for replying to the letter or write to a person with whom you often communicate.

The assistant analyzes the time of conversations in the background and will allow you to never forget that you need to contact your interlocutor. A reminder function for unread messages has also appeared.

When making plans to spend time via iMessage, Siri prompts you to add a new event to your calendar.

These buttons appear on the screen automatically and you can hide them at any time.

New application design and interesting software

Apple has introduced a new app called Measure, software that uses ARKit 2.0 to determine the distance between objects and spaces in the real world using your phone's camera.

This is one of those applications that you will use rarely and only for certain tasks, but that does not negate its usefulness.

The Photos app has also received a few updates. With the new For You tab, all your photos are organized by location.

Whether it's a concert in your city or a trip to another country, photos are automatically added to a separate album.

The developers have also improved the search. With it, you can find specific places that you photographed.

The Stocks app has improved a lot. It now has a built-in client for Apple News.

This application will be useful for those who are interested in finance, design and IT.

You can check the stock prices of popular companies while viewing the news of the day.

The Voice Memo app also gets a new look that makes it more modern.

In the new version, the record button is located at the bottom, and previous notes are located at the top of the screen, making navigation more convenient and intuitive. You can also scroll the data so that the recorder is in full screen. The playback pane lets you quickly trim a note.

UpdatediMessage

After the plethora of iMessage features released in iOS 10, Apple chose not to add new goodies to future versions of the OS.

iOS 12 finally introduces several interesting innovations to the standard messenger.

Now you can not only create your own Memoji, but you will also get the option to use them as stickers in the iMessage camera app.

For now, only owners of iPhone X or later versions of smartphones can work with this function.

For owners of iPhone 8, 8 Plus or earlier devices, the developers have also provided several new features.

Users now have access to an updated built-in camera, which is very similar to a similar feature in Snapchat or Facebook Messenger. With its help, you can add filters, change the voice, create your own stickers and inscriptions.

Instead of sending photos via iMessage, tap the camera button and then tap your photo album.

A button has appeared in the image viewing window for quickly sending it via iMessage.

Those who have an iPhone X, iPhone XS, XS Max or XR now have access to not only Memojis, but also Animojis. Using the TrueDepth front camera, you can create Animojis from your own selfies.

Users have the ability to change physical features such as eyes and hair, as well as accessories.

Because Animojis mirror your movements, you can record 30-second videos using your iMessage to send to others.

Saving passwords

Remembering passwords for all websites, applications and social networks is becoming more and more difficult every year.

With iOS 12 and the new “Passwords and Accounts” section, you can save any password and the next time you log in to a website or program, the system will automatically fill in the “Login” and “Password” fields with the necessary data.

Google had previously introduced a similar feature in Android 8 Oreo, so Apple users are happy that now IOS 12 can easily save all passwords.

Your data is protected by strong encryption algorithms, so the risk of data leakage is reduced to zero.

Device support

Apple has presented an official list of gadgets on which you can install iOS 12:

  • iPhone 8 and 8 Plus;
  • iPhone XS;
  • iPhone XR;
  • iPhone X;
  • iPhone XS Max;
  • iPhone 7 and 7 Plus;
  • iPhone SE;
  • iPhone 6s and 6s Plus;
  • iPhone 5s.

IOS 12 also works on iPad Pro of all generations, iPad Air 2nd generation, and iPad Mini 2, 3, 4 generations.

Bottom line

Now managing your smartphone has become even more convenient. It should also be noted that the function of blocking notifications at night is useful.

Using artificial intelligence, iPhone learns your habits and adapts over time, making your experience much easier.

You can install the official build of iOS 12 now. Just go to the “Settings” - “General” - “Software Update” window.

Thematic videos:

iOS 11 only recently came out officially, and the official release date for iOS 12 will be in 12 months. But that doesn't mean we can't watch Apple's future mobile operating system develop. When iOS 12 releases, how long should we wait?

Assuming Apple maintains its previous traditions, the company will show off iOS 12 for the first time during a keynote at the 2018 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Tim Cook will introduce iOS 12, while Craig Federighi, senior vice president of software engineering, will demonstrate new features in iOS.

It is likely that the first beta version of iOS 12 will be available worldwide on the same day as the presentation date. As with recent iterations of iOS, the public beta should arrive later in a couple of weeks. The official release date of iOS 12 in Russia will take place at the time of the release of the new iPhone from Apple in the fall of 2018. What devices will there be?

How iOS 12 can unlock the full potential of the iPhone X

If iPhone X is the future, then iOS is the vehicle that will help us get there. Apple's latest iPhone introduces all sorts of little changes to iOS that make up for the lack of a Home button (such as , power, home indicator, and more). But for the most part, iOS on the iPhone X isn't all that different from what's on the iPhone 8.

In fact, if the iPhone X shows us anything, it's that iOS is a little behind the competition. Apple has refreshed iOS 11 with new gestures and animations, but compared to the sleek and curved OLED screen of the iPhone X, iOS feels less modern. And if the iPhone X sequel is truly going to lead Apple for the next 10 years, then iOS will need to be three steps ahead.

Here are 10 features that iOS 12 could get:

1. Increase your Face ID capabilities

Face ID is very impressive on the iPhone X, but it's not quite perfect. Just like the debut of Touch ID on the iPhone 5s, Face ID is a big step forward, and Apple will undoubtedly improve the speed and reliability of it on future iPhones. Two features we'd like to see are larger recognition angles so we don't have to focus so closely on the screen when unlocking, and the ability to add a second face.

We've had our spouses and kids register fingerprints on Touch ID so they can use our phones without asking for our password (or our fingers), and we'd like to do the same with Face ID.

2. More functionality of the top icons

Okay, we admit it: the ramp camera isn't as bad as we thought. While it still looks a little silly in pictures, it's actually cool in practice. But one thing is for sure: it's not going away anytime soon. If that's the case, we'd love to see Apple add even more functionality to the space around the frame (where the camera sits), turning the panel into a fully interactive space that eliminates the need to frequently open the Control Center.

For example, tapping the battery icon can show how much percent is left or tapping the time to view the date. And here's a really cool feature: the Reddit app Apollo (see above) uses the top-right space to display audio settings.

3. Swipe anywhere to unlock

There's no doubt that in the future our iPhones will automatically go to the home screen as soon as we look at them, but until that day comes, we'll still need to turn them on with our fingers. The problem is that you have to swipe from the very bottom edge of the screen where the home indicator is.

And we often forget about this, which means that we must twice miss to unlock the iPhone. Just like Apple removed the bar in iOS 7 and let us jump to the access screen anywhere, being able to unlock the screen with a double tap will save hundreds of seconds every day.

4. Create a panel for notifications and time

Now that Apple is finally using OLED in the iPhone and can take advantage of the power savings, it's time to display useful information at all times.

This feature has been available on flagship Android devices for years. It's incredibly useful, showing things like time, battery percentage, and notifications, all you need to do is look at your phone. We'd really like to see this feature on the iPhone X. It would be nice if our phones didn't light up every time they needed to alert us that a notification was coming.

5. Fix your keyboard

The iPhone X gives us more screen to work with, but when you're typing a message or email, you don't actually get any benefit over the iPhone 8 Plus. This is because Apple decided to create a keyboard with few features below it so as not to interfere with the home indicator.

Fair enough, but it's pretty much wasted space at this point. Apple put buttons for dictation and keyboards there, but why not add a line of favorite emotions? Or at least let third party developers customize with their own buttons?

Every pixel on the iPhone X is valuable, and it's a shame to have so much free space that isn't used to its full potential.

Just yesterday it became known that the release date iOS 12 scheduled for September 17. Initially, many analysts predicted that there would be no release before October due to the optimization of the interface for the new iPhone XS Max with a six and a half inch display.

In horizontal orientation, the navigation elements there resemble iPad, which is possible thanks to the large free space. As testers noted earlier, all changes are cosmetic and insignificant, but they look nice.

Which smartphones and tablets will receive iOS 12?

There are practically no technological differences with the eleventh version, so the minimum requirement has been retained - iPhone 5s, or iPad mini 2, Air 1,iPad 5. Music player iPod touch will also receive the long-awaited firmware update. It's nice that Apple does not forget about these gadgets, supplanted by multifunctional and productive smartphones. We all remember the scandal associated with artificially slowing down processors to save battery power. The story is in the past, now the brand intends to more carefully optimize the firmware to use all available resources.

Innovations and release date of iOS 12

The performance gain will be up to 50-60 % , which is determined by running applications. There are minimal differences in the basic menu, but the icons move much more smoothly. In the new generation iPhone The display refresh rate will increase to 120 hertz, which is comparable to professional tablets for artists, designers and animation specialists.

The speed of launching programs will increase by 60 % , and in the case of a camera - for everything 80 % . Working with video chat FaceTime will be simplified thanks to support for group conferences, the maximum number of which will reach 32 people.Battery usage statistics will also be a useful innovation, allowing you to more effectively monitor possible defects, as well as the natural wear and tear of the battery.

Authorization and verification codes, which previously caused inconvenience for some users, are now sent via SMS. To enter it in the browser, just click on the window once if the system determines that both devices are currently being used by the same user. More information will appear after the release, surprises are possible.

The release of a new iOS is always a real event. As a rule, the operating system is available not only on the company’s newest devices, but also on the well-worn iPhone and iPad. And that’s why such an event is interesting not only to owners of the company’s latest devices. Today we’ll talk about the key features of iOS 12, how useful and easy to use they are.

Performance

If iOS 11 was more about features, then in the twelfth version the developers focused on stability and speed. This is the data Apple itself provides.

The performance of the new OS has increased significantly. For example, compared to iOS 11.4 on iOS 12, the camera starts up 70% faster, and the keyboard opens 50% faster. There is also data on applications. For example, some stock utilities open 40% faster on the new OS. Not bad at all.

Below is a visual comparison of the speed of 5S on iOS 11.4 and the 12th beta version. The difference is noticeable.

This doesn’t particularly apply to current devices; everything is fine there anyway. But older devices will definitely benefit from such an increase in speed. The figures above were measured on the iPhone 6 Plus, which, let me remind you, was released back in 2014. Any Android flagship, even the .

Personally, I have not yet been able to test the operation of the new system on old devices, but according to rumors, even on iOS 12 it behaves very vigorously. By the way, write in the comments, would you be interested in reading a review of iOS 12 on i?

Unfortunately, FaceTime is not as popular in our area as it is in the US. For some mysterious reason, Skype is still our favorite. Although FaceTime works much faster, is more convenient to use, and every second person has an iPhone.

Anyway, FT now supports conferences. Up to 32 people can be in the video chat at the same time. One begins to speak, his window is larger than the others - a simple and elegant solution.

And right during the conversation, you can “put” Animoji or Memoji on your head. Of course, for this you will need to have a conversation with, because only this device supports 3D avatars. For now only him.

Since Animoji are available in FaceTime, there are no problems with simpler effects - stickers, emoticons, text and other visual effects - in general, everything that is in iMessage.

New Animoji and Memoji

In case anyone forgot. The emoticons that we are all so accustomed to are called emoji.

Which devices can install iOS 12?

On and other smartphones are younger than it. Yes, yes, Apple continues to support a device that was released back in 2013. In two thousand and thirteen! Do you even remember what you did this year?

By the way, all the announced features will work on the 5S, of course, except for those related directly to Face ID, for example, Memoji.

Of course, not all functions will be available on the 5S. However, the same screen time will be able to be used to its fullest.

For tablets the situation is as follows. iOS 12 can be installed on and on Air of all generations, on all Pro versions of the tablet, on the iPad Mini starting from the second generation, as well as on the iPod Touch player of the 6th revision.
