I urgently correct myself and write a whole series of articles (three pieces) on this topic. What is “live wallpaper”

Many users often confuse animated wallpapers with live ones. These are completely different things. Animation is the combination of several static pictures, with minor changes, into one file (.gif), and live wallpapers are made from full-fledged looped video files.

Therefore, the latter are many times higher quality and more delicious. You can make them yourself from a video with children, a winter landscape outside the window, or even from any popular film, but more on that in another article.

How to enable live wallpaper support in Windows

The method described below definitely works for the Windows 7 Professional operating system. On other versions, try it yourself and write in the comments - contribute to this topic.

Now all that remains is to return to the downloaded folder and right-click on the live wallpapers and assign them as such through the context menu (Set as DreamScene)…

And there’s no need to scream so much with admiration - I know what’s beautiful.

Cons of live wallpapers

It remains to talk about a small fly in the ointment. The fact is that the labels on shortcuts on the desktop immediately (or after a while) become translucent and unreadable.

There are several instructions on the Internet to “solve” this problem, but none of them helped me, so I won’t even describe them. For me personally, this is not a problem at all - I don’t have a single shortcut on my desktop.

You can remove labels from shortcuts or start using beautiful and convenient dock panels, for example. It’s up to you to decide who and what is more important or prettier.

There is one more disadvantage - on very weak and old computers, live wallpaper can consume already scarce resources, slowing down work.
