Many hoped that the device would run a full-fledged Mac OS X, adapted for touch screens. This did not happen. The iPad runs iPhone OS 3.2 with all the ensuing consequences. Consequence number one (probably the most unpleasant) is that the device cannot run applications for Mac OS X and does not support multitasking mode. Consequence number two - synchronization with a computer occurs only through iTunes. However, iPhone owners are no stranger to this. Consequence number three is the lack of Flash support in the browser. This decision has both positive and negative sides. The positive is the absence of the need to stick into stupid advertising, the negative is a significant limitation of the interactivity of the web, in which Flash is currently the de facto standard.
