To solve the problem, a simple reset to factory settings may not be enough - you need to flash Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T210, SM-T211).

Fortunately, manufacturers of mobile equipment and simply enthusiasts have found dozens of ways to change the firmware for all Android devices without exception. The process will take a few minutes and the smartphone will come to life, starting its daily work with renewed vigor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 firmware process (SM-T210, SM-T211)

  • If Kies was installed on your computer, remove it.
  • Download and install for Samsung smartphones and tablets.
  • Download and install version 3.0.9.
  • Reboot the computer.
  • Unpack Odin onto your desktop. In the same folder we extract the firmware files from the previously downloaded archive.

  • On your smartphone go to “ Settings«, « For developers"(if there is no such item, go to " About the phone" and click many times on " Build number") and turn on " USB Debugging«.

  • We transfer the smartphone to Download Mode. To do this, turn it off completely, hold down the buttons at the same time Home+Power+Volume down.
  • After the screen appears with the message Warning, confirm the choice by pressing the button Volume up.

  • The phone has entered download mode.

  • Let's launch Odin on behalf of the administrator.
  • In this state, connect the device to the computer using a USB cable (exclusively USB 2.0) so that flash Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T210, SM-T211). If in the ODIN window the field ID:COM turned blue, like in the screenshot below, everything is fine - you can continue. If not, reinstall the drivers and restart the computer.

Files that can be found in the archive with the firmware

The picture shows the names of files that may be in the archive with the firmware and indicates where to insert them in the Odin window.

If there is only one file and takes up a lot of space, insert it into the field PDA. This is the firmware.

  • In the appropriate fields on the right, select the firmware files, based on the example above. IMPORTANT! Only checkboxes should be checked Auto Reboot And F. Reset Time.

  • Click on START and wait for the firmware process to finish. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to disconnect the smartphone from the computer and touch the USB cable. The whole procedure will take a few minutes - the exact time depends on the power of the PC.

  • Once finished, the device will reboot itself. We disconnect it from the PC and start using the latest firmware.

Samsung has released Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update for WiFi variants of Galaxy Tab 3, SM-T210, T210R. The update occurs in different regions at different times via Samsung Kies or OTA.

If the update is not yet in your region and you can't wait, you can install the firmware manually using Odin3. In this guide we will show you how you can Install official Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210 and SM-T210R

Prepare your phone:

  1. Make sure your phone can run this firmware.
    • This manual and firmware are intended for use with Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210 and SM-T210R.
    • Check your model number by going to Settings -> About device.
    • Using this firmware with other devices may cause

    • If the phone runs out of battery before the flashing process finishes, the device may be bricked.
  3. Return everything.
    • Backup sms messages, call logs, contacts
    • Back up your media files by copying them to your PC or laptop.
    • EFS Backup
    • If your device is rooted, use Titanium Backup for apps, system data, and other important content.
    • If the device has CWM or TWRP previously installed, create a Nandroid backup.
  4. Disable Samsung Kies and other software when using Odin3
    • Samsung Kies may interfere with Odin3 and you may not get the firmware.

Correcting your device will also void your warranty and you will no longer be eligible for free device service from manufacturers or warranty providers.   1. Odin3 v3.09.
  2. Samsung USB Drivers.
  3. Firmware file

Installing Android 4.4.2 KitKat

  1. Wipe the device so you can install it carefully
  2. Open Odin3.exe
  3. Put your device into download mode
    • Turn off and wait 10 seconds.
    • Turn on simultaneously and continuously pressing the volume, home and power buttons
    • When you see the warning, press Volume Up.
  4. Connect your device to your PC.
    • Make sure you have already installed Samsung USB drivers.
  5. When Odin detects the phone, the ID:COM field will turn blue.
    • If you are using Odin 3.09, you will see the AP tab. Select firmware.tar.md5 or firmware.tar
    • If you are using Odin 3.07, you will see the PDA tab. Select firmware.tar.md5 or firmware.tar
  6. Make sure you select the options in Odin which are shown in the photo below:
  1. Click Start and then wait for the firmware to finish flashing. The device will restart when it is disconnected from the PC.
  2. The device should reboot and you will be able to use the new firmware.

What is needed, tools to get Root

For Method No. 1

  1. Computer or better laptop
  2. Charged Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet
  3. Original MicroUSB cable (undamaged)
  4. Download TWRP Recovery:

  2. Original MicroUSB cable (undamaged);

Instructions for obtaining Root rights

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 T210 and T211

Method No. 1

1. File UPDATE-SuperSU.zip move to memory card

2. Reboot the tablet into Bootloader mode and run Odin

3. UNCHECK ODIN - AUTO REBOOT, insert Recovery into the PDA field

4. Flash Recovery by clicking the “Start” button in Odin

NOW CAREFULLY!

After Odin has flashed Recovery, disconnect the tablet from the PC

5. Transfer Android to the Recovery menu (how to do this is indicated below in the spoiler). If the tablet just starts to reboot, then everything is in vain and you need to repeat steps 2 -5 again

6. Install the file UPDATE-SuperSU.zip from the Recovery menu

7. Reboot the tablet

Early Preparations

1. This guide is only for Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210 and SM-T210R!

Make sure that your device is exactly as mentioned above. To check out what device you have, go to Settings > More/General > About Device or Settings > About Device and match the model number. Be careful about the device model number, flashing a file on a device not listed here might result in bricking it up. In that case, we may not be held responsible.

2. Battery should be charged at least 60%!

Your device’s battery shouldn’t be weak. In case your device goes dead during the flashing process, your device may get soft bricked and you might be in need of flashing stock firmware and that will ultimately result in wiping up your data as well. So, make sure that you charge your device before you start the flashing process.

3. Use the OEM data cable to establish connection!

Always use the original data cable to establish connection between your Android device and your computer / laptop. Using ordinary data cables might interrupt the flashing process, so to avoid any mishap, you need to meet this requirement as well.

4. Backup everything!

Just to be on the safe side, you may consider backing up each and everything from your Android device. This is highly recommended so that in case anything goes wrong, you still have the access to all of your data and you can restore it immediately. Also, clean install is always recommended, that means you will probably have to wipe your device to install the new firmware. So, you may backup everything as listed below.

  • Backup Media – Copy your files manually to your PC or Laptop.
  • – If already rooted, use Titanium Backup to backup all of your apps, system data and other important content.
  • – If CWM or TWRP installed previously.

5. Turn off Samsung Kies and other softwares while using Odin3!

Make sure that you turn off Samsung Kies while using Odin3 flashtool. Samsung Kies will interrupt Odin3 and will result in causing errors and may not let you flash your desired firwmrae. Also, make sure that you turn off any antivirus software you’ve installed and also disable firewall to avoid any connection and flashing issues.
