Yandex increase disk space promotion. Free volume of Yandex.Disk for everyone

Yandex has created its own cloud storage, Yandex.Disk, to store user files. In the Yandex.Disk cloud file storage, 10 GB of available data storage space was provided for free.

New users interested in using this cloud service had to receive a special invitation (invite). After receiving such an invitation to their email inbox, the user could start using the Yandex.Disk file storage.

In September 2012, Yandex changed the rules for using its free file storage service. To gain access to use Yandex.Disk, you no longer need special invitations.

Now you can use cloud storage immediately, without waiting for a response from Captain Yandex.Disk as before. The second good news was the increase in available free space in cloud storage to 20 GB announced by Yandex.

The volume provided by Yandex.Disk will increase gradually. A scheme has been developed so that a Yandex.Disk user who wants to increase his free disk space must send invitations to his friends and acquaintances using social network buttons and sending links to mailboxes.

The person who invites a new user receives a 0.5 GB increase in volume, and the one who was invited receives an additional 1 GB of space on . Thus, the user who sent the invitation will have a total of 10.5 GB, and the user who received the invitation will have 11 GB.

Anyone who invites 19 more people will receive additional space on Yandex.Disk, which will increase to 20 GB. A new user who receives 11 GB can in turn invite new users to increase their storage size to 20 GB.

Additional volume will be provided if a new user installs the Yandex.Disk program on his computer or installs a special application for mobile devices. Platforms supported: Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android, iPhone, Symbian, Android Tab, iPad.

Now I will tell you how to install Yandex.Disk on your computer. To do this, you will need to create a Yandex mailbox if you don’t have one. It will only take a couple of minutes of your time.

On this page you will need to click on the “Register” button to create your Yandex mailbox. If you already have a Yandex mailbox, then you will need to enter your username and password in the appropriate fields, and then click on the “Login” button.

At stage 2, you will need to open the Yandex.Disk program window and upload any 2 files to Disk. You can drag any empty folder and a simple text file there with the mouse. After this step, the storage capacity will increase again.

At stage 3, you will need to tell your friends about the Yandex.Disk file storage. To do this, you will need to click on the social media buttons or send an invitation to your mailbox. After this, the available space in the Yandex.Disk cloud storage will become 11 GB.

By clicking on the “Pre-flight preparation” button, we are asked to go through 3 simple steps (Fig. 3, pictures are clickable).

After completing them, 7 GB will be added to the existing Yandex.Disk volume:

Pre-flight preparation - step 1

– install the Yandex.Disk program on your computer. Click on the link “Install Yandex.Disk for Windows” (Fig. 3) and get into the “Open file - security warning” window (Fig. 4):

Click on the “Run” button (Fig. 4),

  • then we allow you to make changes to your account (I do not publish these screenshots),
  • go through “Getting to know Yandex.Disk” by clicking on the “Next” button (I don’t provide screenshots), and,
  • Finally, we get to the window (Fig. 5):

At this point, the installation of the Yandex.Disk program can be considered complete. As a result, after installing it, 3 GB will be added (3GB + 3GB = 6GB) and it will become 6 GB.
In the future, you will be able to access the installed Yandex.Disk program:

  • by going to the “Computer” folder,
  • or the “Start” button – “All programs”,
  • or by clicking on the Yandex.Disk shortcut on the desktop:


In the article “” I described downloading files without the Yandex.Disk program, that is, by and large, you can do without it. But this program is convenient for uploading files larger than 2 GB to Yandex.Disk, because browsers are not designed to upload such heavy files. In addition, 3 Gigabytes for installing this program will also come in handy.

Another 2 GB will be added (6GB+2GB=8GB).

II Invitations for friends

We completed pre-flight preparations - the Yandex.Disk volume became 10 GB. To add up to 10 GB more, you can:
– send the existing link to friends (the link will open after clicking on the “Invitations for Friends” button in Fig. 2), after which the friend will receive 1 GB, and you – 0.5 GB.
Through simple calculations we get: in order to get another 10 GB in addition to the Yandex.Disk volume, you need to send the link to at least 20 friends, provided that they all unanimously use your recommendation.

III Auto-upload of photos and videos

Lovely! The volume of Yandex.Disk will increase by as much as 32 GB, but only for six months).
To do this, you need to follow the link “Auto-upload photos and videos” (Fig. 2), and then configure auto-upload of photos and videos in the Yandex.Disk application.

IV Yandex.Browser

Click on the link “Yandex.Browser” (Fig. 2). In the window that opens, download Yandex.Browser from the provided link (I’ll tell you a secret, you don’t have to install it after downloading) and increase the volume of Yandex.Disk by 5 GB, BUT for a period of 1 year, alas.
By the way, I recommend this method, because it allows you to easily increase the volume of Yandex.Disk by 5 GB.
In this case, the default browser may remain the one you had before. I will add that on the Internet, 1 year is a long time, because all technologies change very quickly.

Then you can get another 10GB by inviting friends. Moreover, for each friend you receive +0.5GB, and the invited friend himself receives +1GB. In this way you can gain 20GB of space. But there is a way to get more!

I’ll say right away that all the ways to bypass the Yandex Disk limitation are, one way or another, not ideal solutions. But I only offer proven and good hacks.

1. Birthday mail - a gift to you from Yandex disk.

So, when your mail turns, say, 5 years old, you are given 5GB of disk space. My mail turned 7 years old - and they gave me 7GB. As they say, it’s a small thing, but it’s nice.

2. Buying a device at a promotion - gigabytes as a gift.

Yandex sometimes cooperates with electronics manufacturers and runs the following promotions: buy a phone, tablet or laptop and receive a free space on Yandex disk as a gift.

They recently gave as much as 200GB for Toshiba laptops, and a little earlier they gave 50GB for free for smartphones.

3. Yandex.Disk certificate.

4. When a problem becomes the beginning of the path to success.

The subtitle is vague, but I’ll explain now. Everyone makes mistakes, Yandex employees too. One day they released an unsuccessful update for Yandex disk:

5. The primitive method is multi-account.

The question is: how can I now combine all this space in one account? But it’s impossible to unite. You will have to use each account separately to download files. If you create shared folders on disks, space will be deducted from each Yandex disk account that has access to the folder.

  • Enable the additional option “Yandex.Disk” on any tariff- 100 GB or 1 TB will be added to the volume of your Disk.
  • Connect tariff "For the Internet everywhere" - 5 GB will be added to the volume of your Disk.
  • Connect to the “Cloud” tariff- 1 TB will be added to the volume of your Disk upon connection, and then 1 TB will be added for each month of Internet use;

When you connect the “Yandex.Disk” option or the “Cloud” tariff, additional features of Disk.Pro will automatically become available to you:

  • extended history of file changes - 90 days instead of 14;
  • there will be no advertising on the pages of your Drive and on the pages of your public files;
  • unlimited downloading of public files;
  • priority support - response within three hours.

Additional Yandex.Disk volume will be disabled in the following cases: voluntary blocking; if you disabled the option or changed the tariff; if you terminated your contract with your Internet provider.

    From the top menu select Services → Additional services.

    Select from the list.

    Choose how much you want to increase your Disk capacity - 5 GB, 100 GB or 1 TB.

If your personal account is blocked due to non-payment or you have enabled voluntary blocking, additional space on Yandex.Disk will be disabled. If the occupied volume exceeds the available space, the ability to work with files on Disk will be limited. You won't be able to upload new files, share files, or create shared folders. Also, files that you shared earlier cannot be downloaded to your computer via a public link, but can be saved to Disk. Your other actions with files are not blocked - you can still view files, download to your computer, edit, move and delete. To make all features available again, reduce the occupied volume to the size of the available space or purchase additional space again. You can free up space in several ways: by deleting files from Yandex.Disk or moving them to folders on your computer that are not synchronized with Disk.

If you are not yet connected to OnLime, on the OnLime unlimited Internet tariffs page, select the “Cloud” tariff.

If you are already connected to OnLime, change the tariff in your OnLime account.

After changing the tariff, activate the Yandex.Disk option:

    From the top menu select Services → Additional services.

    Select from the list Cloud storage Yandex.Disk.

    Connect your Yandex.Disk profile.

    Select an option "Yandex.Disk UNLIM".

    Click Connect to the right of the selected option.

Choose exactly how you want to increase the size of your Disk:

    In the block Home Internet click the button Manage the service.

    Find the block on the page.

    Go to the tab Cloud storage Yandex.Disk.

    Connect your Yandex.Disk profile.

    In the subscription catalog, select how much you want to increase the size of your Disk - by 100 GB or 1 TB.

    Cost of increasing volume:

    • 100 GB - 80 ₽/month

      1 TB - 200 ₽/month

    Click Connect to the right of the selected option.

Note. Activation time may take up to 24 hours. You can track the status of your application in your personal account.

You can disable the option after 30 days from the connection date.

    Change tariff plan.

After changing the tariff, activate the Yandex.Disk option:

    In the block Home Internet click the button Manage the service.

    Find a block on the page Antiviruses - Parental controls - Office 365 - Cloud storage Yandex.Disk.

    Go to the tab Cloud storage Yandex.Disk.

    Connect your Yandex.Disk profile.

    Select an option "Yandex.Disk 5 GB".

    Click Connect to the right of the selected option.

If you change the tariff from “For Internet everywhere” to another

If you change the tariff from "For the Internet everywhere" on another, in which there are no Disk options, additional space on Yandex.Disk will be disabled. You can free up space in several ways: by deleting files from Yandex.Disk or moving them to folders on your computer that are not synchronized with Disk.

If your account is blocked

You won't be able to upload new files, share files, or create shared folders. Also, files that you shared earlier cannot be downloaded to your computer via a public link, but can be saved to Disk. Your other actions with files are not blocked - you can still view files, download to your computer, edit, move and delete. To make all features available again, reduce the occupied volume to the size of the available space or purchase additional space again.
