Standard Microsoft Office package. Microsoft office - software package for home and office

Hello! Today there are a lot of computer programs (software) for various purposes. In general, they can be divided into two categories:

  1. general purpose;
  2. professional.

They are often called application programs. In simple terms, they are designed to perform specific functions through a user interface. Okay, let's not go too deep into the theory. Let's get down to business.

Today we’ll look at what computer programs there are for anti-virus protection, office work, Internet browsing, design work and accounting - 1C. I will make a list of names of popular software and briefly tell you what it is.

Computer programs for resumes: briefly about the thematic selection

Computer proficiency level. Is this a familiar phrase? Not surprisingly, it is often found in the form of an applicant’s resume for a specific position.

In addition to the general assessment of knowledge, it may be necessary to indicate specific application applications and their level of proficiency. It happens that you don’t use some of them for a long time and forget the names.

For these and other cases, we will consider small lists of common software and some of their features. From them you can choose the ones you need to study and fill out your resume. Moreover, you don’t have to write everything in it. The main thing is to indicate what will actually be required to perform job duties and what you have knowledge of.

Antiviruses: list and brief description

There is a huge selection of software for PCs and mobile devices.

Here is a list of some of the popular antivirus programs:

  • Kaspersky. There are different versions with different functionality. Among them you can find a suitable option for your home or business. I prefer it because I consider it a very powerful and reliable antivirus for both PCs and phones and tablets.
  • ESET NOD32. It's quite reliable. I used it for a long time for one simple reason - in the recent past, my computer was not very powerful, but NOD32 provided good performance.
  • Dr. Web (“Doctor Web”). A good multi-platform antivirus.
  • Avast. Available in free and paid versions. Naturally, the latter have wider functionality.
  • Avira. Quite an interesting and functional antivirus that can be installed on PCs and mobile devices.

The choice of antivirus depends on individual preferences. The only thing, as an experienced system administrator, I want to point out the existing nuance that arises when there are serious suspicions of a threat to computer security.

When thoroughly checking computers for viruses, it is better to do a maximum scan with several programs. However, you cannot have 2 or more antiviruses installed on your computer at the same time.

How then to do this? I won’t go into details now, this is not what the publication is about, but as an option, you can check one through Windows, the other from DOS mode.

Office programs

Among them there are both standard ones for the Windows operating system and additional ones. The latter can be classically divided into paid and free PC software.

So, let's look at what kind of office programs there are for working on a computer.

I will list 2 standard applications for Windows.

  • Notebook. A simple text editor with rather modest functionality.
  • WordPad. There are more possibilities than the previous editor, and less than the analogues described below.

Free office programs include OpenOffice products, among which, according to my observations, the ones listed below are most often used.

  • Writer. Suitable for creating standard text documents. Similar operations are often performed in Word.
  • Calc. It is designed to work with tabular documents.
  • Impress is designed for creating graphic presentations.

Paid office software includes products called Microsoft Office. Among it there are corresponding alternatives to the three options presented above.

  • Word.
  • Excel.
  • PowerPoint.

They usually don't need any introduction. It's hard to meet a user who hasn't heard of them.

There are different versions of the described software. The choice depends on the tasks at hand.

Internet browsers

I present a list of names of alternative browsers.

  • Internet Explorer.
  • Mozilla Firefox.
  • Opera.
  • Google Chrome.
  • Yandex browser.

They come in different versions. For maximum security, it is better to use the latest one available.

The first browser in the list is the standard browser in the operating system. All of the above are very popular. Among the users I meet, and there are quite a few of them, I notice that they most often use Google Chrome or a browser from Yandex. The latter has cool functionality - protected mode. It is able to enhance security when working with payment services.

1C programs for accounting

A very common program in the field of economics. It is difficult to imagine large-scale business activity without its use. Among the latest versions is 1C 8.

Depending on production tasks, different configurations for 1C can be used. This feature makes your work much easier.

For ease of use, several users can be connected to one database (DB), where all important information is stored. Since not everyone needs full access, it can be limited for each connected user.

Programs for designers and professional earnings

There are many of them. Among the powerful and frequently used ones, 4 specific programs can be distinguished under the following names:

  • Adobe Photoshop. Used for image processing.
  • Adobe Premiere. Useful for video processing.
  • Adobe Indesign. Designed for professional layout design.
  • CorelDraw. Can be used to work with vector graphics.

Specific versions of licenses and software are selected taking into account work tasks and the configuration of the computer on which they will be installed.

Having mastered one of these programs masterfully or at least at an intermediate level, you can seriously think about finding a well-paid one. Good specialists with such knowledge are valued in the real world and on the Internet. There are actually a lot of people who want to make money, but it’s not always easy to find real professionals.

This publication is nearing completion. We looked at what common programs there are for performing specific tasks on computers. You found what you were looking for? If so, I'm glad I was able to provide valuable information. If not, then you can ask a question in the comments or add to this publication.

Subscribe to updates. You can receive information by e-mail or track announcements of publications on social networks, where I regularly add them. See you later.

Basic office programs

To use the Internet, you don't need to have any of the technical skills that the people running the network have. But you cannot not know the basic rules of how the Internet and its structure work.

The head of the college needs to get an idea of the Internet as a single information space, become familiar with the basic concepts and principles of organizing the World Wide Web. You also need to understand very well the system of relationships between the Internet and the college.

Informatization of education is a priority of modern education. The task of a college existing in modern society is to prepare its students to be able to navigate the information space and master the information culture. Currently, there is no longer any doubt about the need to use the Internet in the college educational space.

What does the Internet give to college management?

· Access to official educational resources, databases, search for regulatory documents (time to search for information is significantly reduced);

· Obtaining additional information from various information sheets;

· Possibility of operational document flow;

· Participation in teleconferences, forums, exchange of experience;

· Access to encyclopedias, reference books, etc.;

· Possibility of organizing distance learning, educational interdisciplinary telecommunication projects, distance Olympiads;

· Obtaining consulting services (legal issues, professional advice, etc.).

Anyone who has ever tried to access the global Internet has become convinced that it is an ocean of information in which you can find everything that interests you: information about the weather in any part of the world, railway schedules, Aeroflot schedules, business conditions in any country in the world , current political events, etc. There is also something to take advantage of in the education sector. But, as always happens, it is important to determine where, when solving what problems, the services provided by the Internet and its resources can be used most effectively in organizing the educational process. It is important to remember that computer telecommunications are just another tool, through the proper use of which you can significantly increase the efficiency of the educational process.

The Internet is inherently an open environment where geographical and ideological barriers are erased. Here the abilities and needs for communication develop, and the motivation to study emerging technological innovations is born. The Internet is a living, rapidly changing environment: interfaces, methods of obtaining information and making contacts often change here. People turn to the Internet, first of all, for additional information on a particular problem, for example, concerning the organization of the educational process. Telecommunications themselves make it possible to solve assigned problems more effectively with the help of the tools that make up the network services (Internet search engines, web technologies, e-mail, etc.).

Currently, the use of interactive means of communication in the school management system is becoming widespread. Let's take a closer look at some of them.

Email. You can send various documentation by email, communicate with parents and colleagues. This is a fairly simple and fairly cheap way that allows you to quickly interact with people. Moreover, learning to use mail is not very difficult. Experience has shown that in order to teach even a novice user how to send and receive email messages, two to four hours are enough. Moreover, as we noted above, modern operating systems and programs are very user-friendly, and the complex psychological barriers when working on a computer that existed, say, 8-10 years ago, practically no longer arise.

Teleconferences. Before the advent of the Internet, there were electronic bulletin boards, or BBS - computers connected to a telephone line through which messages and files were exchanged. The most popular of them have turned into hobby clubs with a fairly stable circle of visitors. Gradually, the lines began to blur: in addition to professional computer scientists and programmers, people of various professions, ages, nationalities, countries, political opinions, united by common interests began to take part in these conversations. With the development of the Internet, online communication has increased dramatically.
The easiest way to network communication is email. Mailing lists are compiled to include members of a certain stakeholder group in correspondence. This method allows you to reach up to several dozen people. Anyone who received a letter can click in the mail program Reply All and write the following message to the discussion participants. However, this method has a number of disadvantages, since if someone wants to unsubscribe from the mailing list, he must write a letter to all participants in the discussion asking them to exclude their address from the mailing list. Also, this method does not allow reaching a large number of people. Due to the limitations of email, it is preferable to use other methods for organizing network communication.

Teleconferences are organized to organize global communication. Teleconferences are intended for discussion and exchange of news.

UseNet- these are all communities of networks that have gateways to the Internet, for example the amateur network Fido. In fact, this is a set of discussion groups based on interests, where you can discuss everything in the world: an interesting book, issues of raising children and car repairs, a just released CD by a popular musician, problems with a new computer program, and much more. Microsoft translates newsgroups as network news or newsgroups, but in essence these are not news, but discussions. Teleconferencing is considered one of the oldest forms of "group email". There are currently tens of thousands of different newsgroups. They are accessible through an email program (such as Outlook Express), similar to email. Without leaving your computer, you can read or post articles in a particular conference, find useful advice or join discussions. Articles are periodically destroyed to make room for new ones. The main language of communication on international message boards is English.

The order in publications is ensured by the participants themselves. In every teleconference, there are rules of conduct that every participant must know and strictly follow. Compliance with the rules is monitored by a user endowed with broad rights and called a moderator.

Web forums. The web forums you often come across while surfing the World Wide Web are quite different from the Usenet newsgroup system. Firstly, work in them always takes place in the web interface, and traffic directly depends on site traffic.

The answer to your message may come immediately, or maybe after a few hours or days. It all depends on the popularity of the forum you choose. On some forums, even your own message may not appear in the list right away - a moderator must first review it, and only then publish it or not publish it in the forum. This is done to ensure that the forum does not contain off-topic messages or those that offend people.

Some forums require mandatory registration. You fill out the form provided and they will send you a username and password to participate in the forum. Some forums are open to everyone. Also on many forums you will find rules of conduct in them, which we advise you to read carefully. Remember that apparent anonymity is deceptive. You can register in the forum under a fictitious name, but nevertheless, you can “find out” a person who tried to be rude in a particular online community by the IP address of the computer from which you accessed the Internet and punish him. Let's say you decide to send an anonymous message. If you offend someone on it, that person (or the forum moderator) can contact their ISP and ask them to track down the offender. Such work is usually the responsibility of any provider. By looking at the IP addresses, date and time indicated in the service fields of the message, your own provider, to whom the offended will turn, can tell who he allocated such and such an IP address on such and such a date at such and such a time. He also knows your name, phone number and address - the data that you once entered when registering on the provider’s server. If you access the Internet from an Internet cafe, you may no longer be allowed there. Therefore, there is no anonymity on the Internet, and knowing this, you will avoid many problems in the future. Try to be polite and considerate towards other users.

Working in forums is very simple: you fill out the required fields in a special form (most often this is the name, topic and the message itself) and click the button Send. Your message appears in the list of others. But do not forget to first carefully read the messages that already exist in this forum, and also follow the rules of netiquette! Please also pay attention to the rules of communication in a particular forum, which are necessarily present there.

You have the opportunity not only to participate in online forums on various topics, but also to start your own forum:

· http://forum. *****

· http://www. *****

Chat. Another type of network communication is chat. Of course, we take into account that the teacher is a very busy person, and naturally, he does not have time to spend time chatting. But! Your students communicate in chat rooms, and sometimes it is useful to go into the chat and “talk” to them. Maybe this way they will listen to you better? Yes, and there are thematic chats in which college problems can be discussed.

The word "chat" in English means "conversation". Finding a chat room that suits a person on the Internet is not difficult, just download one of the search engines, write the word chat in the field for entering keywords and press the button Search or use the links below to chat lists. By following a link to a particular chat, you will see that this is not an ordinary web page on which several people communicate in real time. And they do this using text. In some chats registration is required, others invite everyone. When entering, everyone present (including you) enters their nickname (from the English “nickname”), that is, a pseudonym. Here are some links for those interested in chatting:

ICQ. Imagine that you want to chat with a person living in Novosibirsk or Munich. Or, you want to get an immediate answer to your question from one of your teachers. You can "talk" to him via short text messages in real time (online). And not in a chat, where there are always a lot of people, but one on one, using the ICQ program.
The ICQ program (among Russian users it is usually called simply “ICQ” from I-C-Q, which is similar in sound to the English phrase I seek you - “I am looking for you”) was developed by the Israeli company Mirabilis relatively recently, in 1996. It refers to to the class of so-called Internet pagers - programs that allow you to correspond with another user of the same program in real time. Modern pagers, in addition to messages, can send files, email, SMS to mobile phones, replace telephone communication (Skype Internet telephony system http:///), etc.
Today ICQ is a very widespread program, it has millions of users. The ICQ number is equal in importance to a telephone number.

With the emergence of this program, all existing ideas about methods of communication and communication on the Internet literally turned upside down. The element of introducing a “real mode” into communication with your interlocutor, combined with the fact that to start a conversation you do not need to “go to the designated meeting place” on the Internet (chat, conference, forum), turned out to be fundamentally new. You turn on your computer and establish a connection to the Internet. If you already have the ICQ program installed, it will automatically start and you will immediately be able to contact a person anywhere in the world. Naturally, provided that he also has this program installed.

You can download this program and get detailed information about it on the website of the popular information retrieval system Rambler http://icq. *****/ .

Livejournal. What to do if you want to organize an online community or create your own electronic magazine? One way is to create your own website with the necessary set of communication tools, but this procedure is labor-intensive and requires special knowledge. If you do not need to create a website, then to create your own online community, we recommend using Live Journal - an electronic diary service http://www. .

Another basic ICT competence is the presence of ideas about electronic educational resources, trends in the electronic publications market in the general (vocational) education sector.

Now the world is at the stage of development of a post-industrial society. The rapidly increasing flow of information, brilliant achievements in the field of microelectronics and the improvement of industrial technologies lead to the rapid informatization of society, the emergence of new technologies, constant updating and growth of the volume of knowledge and require constancy and continuity from the educational process.

The emergence of the Internet is comparable in significance to the invention of printing. The appearance of the printed book made it possible to dramatically expand access to texts and created the preconditions for mass education and for the emergence and development of new forms of state. However, access to knowledge remained directly dependent on proximity to large libraries, which were monopolistic holders of knowledge. Now the situation is changing. After some time, all significant texts created by humanity and preserved to our time will be available on the Internet. Access to them will be possible from anywhere on Earth.

The possibility of direct communication with any person in the world creates new forms of community (for example, professional ones) that unite people across national borders. New forms of education and communication between people will be established. We can say that education through the Internet in our time is the same as education from books was in the 16th century compared to medieval teaching. Thus, the Internet in education plays the role of not only an additional technical method, but also of preparing the new generation for life in a completely new environment, when the network will become a carrier, intermediary and source of production, information and communication.

Information on the Internet is diverse and can be provided by any person or organization. If we consider the educational potential of information on the Internet, we can note that only part of it is created purposefully by various scientific and educational communities, the other part is replenished spontaneously. Due to the different content of information, both positive and negative, and the specific form of its presentation, a number of problems are identified. For example, problems of ethics, reliability of information, impact on the psyche and subconscious of people, etc. The substantiation of various statements on the Internet may be incorrect, the interpretation of facts may be distorted. Information on the Internet does not always have a scientific basis, and is often a product of the consciousness industry, whose activities are aimed at manipulating the consciousness of the information consumer for political, economic or other purposes. In connection with the above, the problem of adequate perception of information arises. The solution to this problem will depend on the level of your skills in analytical work with information, critical thinking skills, the ability to assess the reliability of information, correlate information and existing knowledge, be able to correctly organize the information process, evaluate and ensure information security.

We bring to your attention various information resources that can help the head of an educational institution in his work. You can also independently search for electronic educational resources using popular information retrieval systems, such as:

The next ICT competency is proficiency in working with federal and regional educational portals as sources of educational resources and regulatory documents.

In accordance with the “Concept for creating a system of Internet portals in the field of education”, approved by the Board of the Ministry of Education of Russia dated January 1, 2001 (protocol), portal is a network node or a complex of nodes connected to the Internet via high-speed channels, which has a developed user interface and provides unified, from a conceptual and content point of view, access to a wide range of information resources and services aimed at a specific audience (in this case, the educational community).

Special educational portals have been created to consolidate information that is significant from an educational point of view. The system of educational portals http://***** - the federal portal "Russian Education" - is an entry point to the Internet, providing a convenient and effective search for relevant information resources, as well as the provision of other services in demand by the educational community, for example, ensuring collaboration school administrators and teachers, geographically distant from each other, on common curriculum. Also, one of the goals of the portal creators is to ensure the quality of the information resources offered through a public review mechanism in various educational areas. The educational community portal system provides information support for the educational process in all its aspects for all levels of education and forms of training. A list of the most popular educational portals can be found here: http://*****/db/portal/sites/portal_page. htm

Speaking about the competence regarding the presence of ideas about the legal aspects of the use of information resources on the Internet in education, it should be noted that although the Internet has been developing quite recently, and the issues of protecting intellectual property on the global network have not yet been fully worked out, the basic principles of the application of copyright on the Internet have already been formed .

You may use materials found on the Internet for educational and other non-commercial purposes. For example, print it out and distribute it to students in class. Or insert as illustrations into your presentation or website. It is only necessary to accurately indicate the author and source from which the material was taken.

For example:

Bondarenko social-rehabilitative interaction in the field of media culture (methodological development) //(©) Issues of Internet education, full name http://vio. *****/vio_31/cd_site/Articles/art_1_5.htm (11/30/2005)

Of course, from the point of view of the law, obtaining consent to use copyright materials in this case is not necessary. However, whenever there is such a possibility, it is better to obtain the author’s consent.

In your materials, you can establish hyperlinks to the web pages of other authors without asking their consent. However, “netiquette rules” recommend trying to obtain such permission, or at least notifying the site owners that you plan to install such a hyperlink on your page.

You should not copy design elements, parts or individual elements of web pages, unless the site author expressly indicates the possibility of such use.

If you want to publish your methodological developments, presentations or teaching materials you have created on the website, remember that no registration procedures are required to approve your authorship of the work. However, to make it easier to prove your authorship in the future, as well as to further remind those who plan to use your work about copyright, install a copyright symbol (“copyright”) on your work.

It must indicate the name of the owner of the exclusive copyright and the year the work was created.
For example:

© , 2006
For a website, it is more correct to indicate not only the year of creation, but better - the years of existence of the site.
For example:

© Ivanova E. G., 1999 – 2006

This is due to the fact that the materials and design of the site change quite often. Therefore, an indication of the period of existence indicates that materials posted on the site in previous years are also protected by copyright. On websites, the © sign is usually placed on all pages of the site. This emphasizes that it protects the entire site as a whole, and not just some individual content.

It should also be noted that the best ICT teaching tool is the Internet. All necessary training materials are available. Any question can be discussed on the forum. Currently, all people who are confident in using a computer improve their knowledge via the Internet on their own. If the head of an educational institution understands and is aware of the need for his training in the field of ICT, then he will be able to organize in his educational institution an information environment that will meet all the requirements for software and hardware, for the educational and methodological content of its information resources, as well as to training and organizing the work of the teaching staff.

The Microsoft Office software package has long gained popularity among users of all levels who use office documents in their work. It is not surprising, because each program included in the standard set not only has unique capabilities that are unique to it. Applications of this type are compatible with each other and with other alternative software products.

What is MS Office

It is known from history that the Microsoft Office suite was initially developed taking into account the then trends for working with text documents, tabular data, presentations, databases and e-mail. Later, it began to include some additional utilities.

Microsoft Office itself is a collection of applications for processing documents of almost any type. Many users who use the standard functions of a particular application included in the list of Microsoft Office programs often underestimate its capabilities. The fact is that almost every program is capable of working not only with standard, so to speak, template documents. It is absolutely simple to insert graphics and sound into any document and in any program.

The only thing I would like to note is that the list of Microsoft Office programs is not included in the list of free software and is quite expensive. However, this does not stop our users. To activate this software package, you can use, for example, Mini KMS-Activator, which works with almost all versions of Office.

In some cases, you can use unofficial releases of an operating system installation distribution such as “Windows XP Zver DVD”, in which Microsoft Office is already “hacked” or activated.

When using an unofficial package, difficulties may sometimes arise due to the lack of a full set of capabilities in each program. It is clear that such a software product will be suitable for the average user. But for people or businesses who are serious about the matter, the best option would be to purchase the official release.

List of Microsoft Office programs included in the standard set

So, let's try to look at the standard set of any office suite offered by Microsoft.

As a rule, the list of Microsoft Office programs includes several standard applications. They are found in any package and can meet the user's needs in any situation.

Microsoft Office 2007: Applications and Programs

It is natural for Microsoft Office 2007 programs to include various applications that were not included in earlier versions of the package. In addition, it is worth paying attention to the fact that not only the functionality of the applications themselves included in the list of Microsoft Office programs is changed (or supplemented). The graphical shell of each software product is also subject to updates. However, the standard set itself remains unchanged.

For example, it includes several basic applications. These are MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Access and MS Outlook. These are, so to speak, the basic office programs of Microsoft Office. They are also the most necessary.

Microsoft Office 2010 and higher software package

New releases of Microsoft Office may also contain additional utilities. True, very often users use them. For example, programs like MS Publisher, MS InfoPath Designer, MS SharePoint Workspace and MS NoteOne look very interesting. These utilities are capable of much and can compete with many professional software products present on the modern IT technology market.

As is already clear, these applications became available starting from the version of Microsoft Office 2010. While MS Publisher was present in some releases earlier, other programs appeared only starting in 2010.

Now a few words about the main components included in the list of Microsoft Office programs.

MS Word

Working with text and graphics is perhaps the most common and in demand. This is why the Microsoft Office Word application was created. The program has enormous capabilities not only in terms of text processing. Many people don’t even realize that here you can even write mathematical formulas of any level of complexity, insert graphic objects in the form of single files or slide shows, supplement all this with audio, or even create web pages using the program as a fast and effective tool based on templates.

MS Excel

Working with tabular data is difficult. But MS Excel copes with this quite simply. Initially, the application was created in order to perform mathematical, algebraic and geometric calculations. Over time, the program's functions have expanded greatly. For example, it became possible to build graphs or create charts or histograms even in three dimensions. Without talking about all the capabilities of the application, it is worth noting that this is one of the most powerful tools in its field of application.

MS Power Point

Microsoft Office PowerPoint was designed specifically for creating presentations that use graphics and sound. It is clear that such processes are resource-intensive, but the application itself has many templates and standard solutions in order not to load the system. If you think about it, you can insert absolutely everything into a presentation. Do you want a photo? Please! Do you want sound? Cheers! Would you like a link to an Internet resource? No problem! In general, you can even create interactive educational manuals.

MS Access

This application is simply not familiar to many ordinary users, because they almost never work with (the database). But for knowledgeable people, this application is simply a godsend, because it allows you not only to create or edit such data, but also has close integration with numerous development tools and supports many language applets, including Visual Basic, Java, working with SQL databases and etc. Well, there are enough tools for data processing here.

MS Publisher

This application is a universal tool for quick publishing. It is primarily focused not even on checking the text part, but on creating, say, your own, so to speak, corporate symbols, conducting marketing research customized to the personal needs of a company or businessman. Naturally, this is not all that this program is capable of, although it belongs to entry-level applications.

MS Outlook

Finally, Outlook. This is a program designed to work with email. Compared to the standard Outlook Express utility, this application looks much more preferable because it has more functions and capabilities. Unfortunately, Outlook Express is installed on the system by the client by default (when installing the Windows OS itself). And not many people would think of changing it. But in vain! MS Outlook has much more possibilities. But here it’s worth assessing for yourself what this program is capable of. After the initial test, I think many will simply forget about Outlook Express, considering it practically a child's toy.

Analogue programs without payment

All this is good. But, as mentioned above, the Microsoft Office package is paid. What do free programs offer us?

Here it is worth paying attention to alternative software developments. The Lotus office suite (particularly Lotus Symphony) was once very popular. Nowadays it is found almost nowhere, but nevertheless it has not lost its relevance.

You can also use completely free software products such as Google Docs, Zoho SoftMaker Free Office, Kingsoft Office, etc. The most important difference from the Microsoft product is that all these packages are not only free, but also open source . So any developer can optimize them for their own needs.

However, it is worth noting that all these “Offices” are clearly behind what was created by Microsoft. Even despite the declared freeness and widespread distribution in the world, they have not received much attention. The only competitor is Google. Moreover, the office programs of this IT giant are mainly used only on mobile devices, and then on the Android platform. However, each user is free to choose what to use in his work and what will be most convenient for him.

On the other hand, if you look at it, the average user can use free programs - alternatives to the Microsoft Office office suite. However, as practice shows, few people manage to “outdo” Microsoft Corporation. Even the biggest competitor is unable to cope with this. It is clear that to develop office applications of any type, not one person is involved, but the brightest minds of our time. So it turns out that Microsoft Office stands head and shoulders (if not two) above its competitors.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that any user, even one who does not thoroughly know all the capabilities of the Microsoft Office software product, can simply “dig” into the menu of any of the above programs and find something new for themselves. As a last resort, you can use the built-in help system or read about the main features and functions on the Internet. Fortunately, this is not a problem now.

Introduction

Most regular computer users face various problems. For example: you use a text editor from one company, a spreadsheet program from another, a business graphics program from a third, and the performance of your electronic assistant ends up being low. What's the matter? It’s just that these programs are not designed to work together.

Luckily, there is a solution to this problem: Microsoft Office, which contains most of the software you need.

The interface elements of the programs included in it are designed identically and they “communicate” with each other in the same language.

The Office suite is more than just a collection of programs in one box. Its name alone suggests that it should contain powerful commercial applications that work with text, numbers and images with ease.

But the best thing about Office is what ties these applications together: they all share menus and sets of buttons that look very similar. Once you learn how to work with one of the applications, you will greatly advance in learning the others.

In addition, the package includes an easy-to-use control center - the Microsoft Office Manager, which allows you to launch and exit individual programs, or receive detailed instructions and online help with a simple click of the mouse button.

1. Description of the Microsoft Office package.

The Office suite includes:

Large applications

1. WORD is a powerful text editor that allows you to quickly create a document of any complexity from scattered notes and perfect a newsletter or brochure.

This is already generally accepted - Microsoft's Word editor is today

the most popular program in the world. Word is full of shortcuts

and state-of-the-art tools like a built-in spell checker and synonym dictionary to help you compose documents correctly, and ready-made templates that let you put together notes, letters, invoices and brochures effortlessly.

2. EXCEL - does with numbers what Word does with nouns and verbs. Anyone who works with numbers will feel at home in the Excel environment like a duck to water. Excel can be used to create budgets and financial reports, turn hard numbers into visual charts and graphs, and conduct “What if?” analyses. on almost any question, and also for sorting long lists in a matter of seconds.

With Excel spreadsheets, you can type in numbers row by row and column by column, confident that Excel will add, subtract, multiply, divide, and generally handle them correctly.

3. PowerPoint - will allow you to prepare a professional presentation, flaunting catchy graphics and impressively designed abstracts. But the best thing is that the user can turn a document prepared in Word into a presentation with just one click.

4. ACCESS - is a powerful data management program designed primarily for programmers. Access is only available as part of the Professional edition of Office.

Assistant programs:

1. The Graph program allows you to enter several numbers and quickly turn them into a graph.

2. The Organization Chart program will help you create a company staffing table.

3. The Equation Editor program is designed to create mathematical formulas in the Word editor.

4. WordArt will help you change the shape of letters or numbers almost beyond recognition so you can use them to create attractive logos or headlines.

5. ClipArt Gallery can sift through hundreds of pictures to find the best illustration for your newsletter or presentation.

Quick help system:

1. Office and its applications are replete with useful tips and step-by-step instructions on how to perform a particular operation.

2. Talented Wizards will guide you step by step to solving complex problems.

3. Cue Cards will offer detailed instructions that will always be in front of your eyes while working.

4. The Preview and Demos functions will demonstrate how to perform complex tasks.

I will teach you how to repair your computer!

Today, the work of every second of us is directly related to the use of computer technology. We study all kinds of application programs, use them to perform certain functions, process documentation and manage certain production processes.

And the Microsoft Office software package plays a significant role in all this. It has long taken root in the computers of those users who process a large flow of electronic documents every day.

This package contains a list of the most unique programs that are sometimes irreplaceable by any other resource. Its versatility is confirmed by the practical compatibility of existing software units with other software alternatives.

MS Office - what is it?

This is a package of programs aimed at working with text format files containing tabular data, presentational advertising and informational information, e-mail and significant databases of various indicators. The initial project was improved over time with the addition of additional utilities.

In other words, Microsoft Office is a practical and multifunctional software tool for creating and working with documents of various formats, contents and types.

Many PC users, without delving into the capabilities of this software package, significantly underestimate it, performing only a standard set of commands. But those who have long studied the full potential of Microsoft Office successfully use it in their activities, achieving mobility and creativity in creating electronic documentary masterpieces, especially since the programs in this package allow you to work not only with text, but also with video and sounds.

Activating Office functionality

Microsoft Office programs are not free applications. Therefore, many today are looking for free options for activating many of its functions and finding them, since the desire to work with a large potential software resource overcomes standardized laziness.

To activate Microsoft Office, many people choose a program such as Mini KMS-Activator; it allows you to activate almost all the functions of each of the Office programs. This is the official activation version.

However, many in their practice also use unofficial software products such as Windows XP Zver DVD, these are utilities that hack the Office software or quickly activate it and offer the user already unwrapped candy.

Unofficial activation has its disadvantages compared to the first option. Not all functionality of the Office software applications may be available. However, for the average user this resource will be quite enough to master the benefits of the package. This option is not suitable for professional people and businesses who need full functionality to implement all design decisions using the software itself.

List of standard Office tools

The Office package includes a set of standard programs that all users can use.
The familiar Microsoft Office 2007 includes the applications from the original design, but in a more graphically updated version, making them more powerful and attractive to the user. This package naturally includes MS Word for creating text documents, MS Excel - for working with tabular data and calculations, MS Power Point - for working with images, illustrations and photographs, MS Access - for creating electronic databases and planned projects, MS Outlook - for optimized work with email and messages.

The updated modern Microsoft Office 2010 and subsequent versions contain the same standard set that we listed above plus new software utilities such as MS NoteOne, MS Publisher, MS SharePoint Workspace, MS InfoPath Designer. It is these utilities that have great potential and are equal to innovative IT technologies.

That is, these utilities are already present in later versions after 2010.
Well, with the list of Microsoft Office software applications, everything is more or less clear. Let's look at the specifics of what they can be used for, that is, what kind of work can be done using their functionality.

So, His Majesty MS Word. What can it offer its user? Firstly, this software tool allows you to work with various kinds of texts and graphics. But few people use this functionality to calculate mathematical formulas, work with images and photos, as well as create slide presentations, to create and design web pages, using huge variations of the proposed templates. Wow, many who use this resource only for typing will think. So there is something to really be interested in here, the main thing is to find the time and test out this entire software potential in practice.

The king of numbers, MS Excel, exceeds all user expectations. The initial idea of its developers was to provide standard simple calculations of a mathematical nature, but they were so carried away that today this application is used to create graphical charts, histograms, three-dimensional images, complex computing projects in business, industrial and scientific activities.

The indispensable MS Power Point was created for creating advertising and informational presentations that can use audio playback and graphics. Its analogues are very resource-intensive, but Power Point itself is filled with an excellent selection of templates, which distinguishes it by its efficiency and mobility. With the help of this resource, photo catalogs, promotional materials, audio books, tutorials, portfolios are created... whatever your heart desires, and most importantly, all this can be filled with photographs, sounds, and web links.

The MS Access tool is rarely used in practice by those who have no idea about databases. But those users who daily have to work with many specific lists appreciated this resource, because its functionality is simply amazing.

The promising MS Publisher is used for mass publication of information materials for wide distribution. Its potential is often used by marketers and businessmen who care about the prestige of their company and who develop large-scale image projects.

Mobile MS Outlook is, of course, many people’s favorite resource for working effectively with email. This resource is not installed automatically, to evaluate all its capabilities, you must first install it, following the application prompts.

As mentioned above, all software elements of Microsoft Office are paid. So many PC users are finding a cheaper alternative to all these products. And not even cheap, but completely free.

Many people, even before the release of the Microsoft Office software package, used a package such as Lotus Symphony. Oddly enough, its functionality is still relevant today.

Of the newer and more modern versions, users like applications such as Kingsoft Office, Libre Office, Google Docs, SoftMaker Free Office. This is a free app and you don't have to activate any features. But, nevertheless, they are not as extensive as in Microsoft Office. Therefore, they cannot compete with him.

Well, what can I say, each user is free to choose what he will use in practice, what software tools. Let's just say one thing: the Microsoft Office software package allows you to develop and bring the most seemingly impossible projects into reality. But each user has his own level of optimization and needs.

Today, the Microsoft Office software package is the most functional and has no perfect analogues to offer computer technology users. Microsoft's only competitor, Google, is practically on the same level with it, but even then, if you evaluate its software offerings, you can find many of the missing convenient features available to the leader in software application development.

So for many, Microsoft Office is the most promising option for developing their professional skills and qualities on the path to building a career ladder.

It is impossible to explore the full potential of Microsoft Office; even the most advanced users discover something new and useful every day, using it for different purposes. We invite you to join the group of those who truly understand the fact that there cannot be better software potential, and if it can, then its developer will certainly be Microsoft.

Free products do not provide as many opportunities for self-realization and new knowledge as official versions of programs. So think for yourself what you save on, on a one-time activation of promising capabilities of modern software applications or on your development and establishment as an indispensable employee, provider or marketer.

Use the best in your work and you will not notice how your professional rank will increase significantly. After all, the Microsoft Office package is not the limit of functional electronic capabilities.

List of Microsoft Office programs. Free programs

The Microsoft Office software package has long gained popularity among users of all levels who use office documents in their work. It is not surprising, because each program included in the standard set not only has unique capabilities that are unique to it. Applications of this type are compatible with each other and with other alternative software products.

True, very often users do not pay attention to them.

This application is simply not familiar to many ordinary users, because they almost never work with databases. But for knowledgeable people, this application is simply a godsend, because it allows you not only to create or edit such data, but also has close integration with numerous development tools and supports many language applets, including Visual Basic, Java, working with SQL databases and etc. Well, there are enough tools for data processing here.

You can also use completely free software products such as Google Docs, Zoho Office, Libre Office, SoftMaker Free Office, Kingsoft Office, etc. The most important difference from the Microsoft product is that all these packages are not only free, but also They are also open source. So any developer can optimize them for their own needs.

However, it is worth noting that all these “Offices” are clearly behind what was created by Microsoft. Even despite the declared freeness and open source code, they have not received much distribution in the world.

Even its biggest competitor, Google, is unable to cope with this.
