The best tablet for the year. The best budget tablets. Waterproof new product from Sony

In the 1st quarter of 2014, many new products were released on the low-cost tablet market. In today's rating we will look at 3 models. The main criterion for choosing them was their novelty on our market, appearance, the presence of high-quality case materials, as well as a price range not exceeding 8 thousand rubles, which fully corresponds to the segment of affordable tablets.

Explay i1

This company, which produces many tablets under its logo, recently introduced its new model called Explay i1.

Design and materials. The device has a nice appearance, a bit reminiscent of the Apple iPad Mini. The tablet body is made entirely of aluminum. It is also light and thin, which allows you to comfortably hold the device even with one hand.

Iron. Unlike most of its counterparts, which are usually equipped with processors manufactured by MediaTek, the new product is equipped with an Intel Atom Z2580 chipset. It has at its disposal 2 cores, each of which can operate at frequencies up to 2 GHz. The graphics are handled by the PowerVR SGX544MP2 accelerator. The tablet has 1 GB of RAM and a built-in capacity of 16 GB with the ability to expand the space using Micro SD memory cards up to 32 GB.

Display. The model received a 7.85-inch screen with a resolution of 1024*768 pixels. Despite the current low resolution, there is no particular discomfort even when reading small text from a tablet. As for the matrix, it is made using the usual IPS technology, and accordingly has a good brightness reserve and viewing angles.

Operating system. The device runs on Android 4.2.2 without using any third-party shell. Camera. Explay i1 is equipped with 2 cameras: the main one with a resolution of 5 megapixels, and the front one with a resolution of 2 megapixels. As you might expect, the quality of both cameras is not amazing, but for capturing some moments, it is quite suitable.

Wireless interfaces. The device has Bluetooth version 4.0, WI-FI, and a GPS receiver. The only thing we can complain about is the lack of 3G support in the tablet.

For whom. In general, the Explay i1 tablet will appeal to those who want a device with a pleasant appearance, made of metal and the presence of a fairly powerful processor at a low cost.

Advantages Screen appearance Metal body Processor Disadvantages Low screen resolution Lack of 3G

Highscreen Alpha Tab

Most recently, the company presented its first tablet in its lineup, which turned out to be an interesting device in terms of its technical characteristics.

Design and materials. The device has a good design, which, however, as in the case of the previous model, looks like an Apple iPad. The body of the model is made entirely of metal. The only thing that disappoints is the weight, which is 474 grams, which is on average 100 grams more than solutions from competitors.

Iron. Highscreen Alpha Tab has a 4-core MediaTek MT8389 processor. This chipset includes 4 cores operating at a frequency of 1.2 GHz. The graphics subsystem is the PowerVR544 chip. The RAM in the device is standard 1 GB, and the built-in capacity is only 8 GB, but the space can be expanded using Micro SD memory cards up to 32 GB.

Display. The device received a rather non-standard 8.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280*800 pixels. In general, the use of this resolution looks normal, given the diagonal. An important fact is that the display has an aspect ratio of 16:10. Due to this factor, watching videos on the tablet screen will be comfortable. The only small fly in the ointment is the screen matrix, which is made using TFT technology. Therefore, viewing angles and brightness will be slightly worse than those of IPS matrices.

Operating system. The tablet runs on Android 4.2.2. The manufacturer did not provide any additional add-ons.

Camera. The device has a main 5-megapixel camera. Its quality is at the usual level for this type of camera. There is also a front camera with a very modest resolution of 0.3 megapixels.

Wireless interfaces. The device is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, WI-FI, GPS, and 3G support, which will undoubtedly please you. In addition, you can make voice calls from the tablet, although it will look, at least, strange.

For whom. For its price, the Highscreen Alpha Tab essentially offers the functionality of a regular smartphone, but with a larger screen. Therefore, this model can be considered as a multimedia combine that can do everything, including acting as a phone.

Advantages Metal body Availability of 3G Display aspect ratio 16:10 Disadvantages Large weight for its size TFT matrix

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite

Watching how numerous manufacturers from China filled the market with their inexpensive tablets, the largest Korean manufacturer Samsung also decided to break into the budget segment by introducing a cheap modification of the Galaxy Tab tablet, which received the Lite prefix.

Design and materials. It would be surprising if Samsung suddenly decided to radically change the design of its devices. Tab 3 Lite is no exception to the rule, since at first glance it is clear that the consumer is looking at a product from Samsung. The body materials of the model consist entirely of plastic. But I’m glad that now the back cover of the tablet does not have gloss, but imitates leather, as on all the latest devices from Samsung.

Iron. The tablet is equipped with a 2-core processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz. The graphics are handled by the little-known Vivante GS1000 accelerator. Therefore, it is not surprising that many demanding mobile games either will not start or will slow down. The RAM is 1GB and the internal storage is 8GB, expandable with memory cards.

Display. The device, due to its positioning, is equipped with a modest 7-inch display with a resolution of only 1024*600 pixels and a TFT matrix. It goes without saying that the screen was not the best in quality.

Operating system. Tab 3 Lite runs on Android 4.2.2 with the proprietary Touch Wiz shell.

Camera. Unlike the regular Galaxy Tab 3, the lightweight version received only a main 2-megapixel camera. It is clear that the quality of photographs taken with such a module will be obviously low.

Wireless interfaces. The tablet has Bluetooth 4.0, WI-FI, GPS, and a 3G connection, in the version with SIM card support.

The tablet market is shrinking every year and good models are becoming increasingly rare. In principle, it is clear who took all the laurels. It's rare to see a user with an 8-inch tablet in their hands. It is more convenient to use a smartphone that offers better mobility, performance and supports Internet access via LTE connection.

However, not everything is so sad, you can still find current models released in 2018 and with good parameters. After all, the only thing that smartphones cannot offer is a 10-inch screen diagonal. These tablets remain in demand and they are presented in our rating.

Which tablet to buy in 2019?

  • The first thing that is required from a tablet in 2019 is a decent screen diagonal of at least 10 inches. It is imperative that it be an IPS matrix; in this case, the picture is of high quality, bright and with wide viewing angles.
  • The level of performance is also important, otherwise you won’t be able to unlock all the capabilities of the Android 8 system. Normal amounts of RAM and general memory are required, where the ideal ratio would be 4 and 64 gigabytes, respectively.
  • Next, you need a good battery life, as well as LTE support to connect to the Internet from anywhere where cellular coverage is available.

The concept of budget can be understood in different ways. Why choose junk for 5000-7000 rubles with a small screen that will only disappoint? It’s better to increase your budget a little, but take a decent option. The models presented below are exclusively budget ones, but within the limits of their hardware level.

It would be a stretch to call this tablet a budget one, but if you take into account the high quality, relevance and good characteristics, then it’s possible. Moreover, there are not many good models on the market and this is one of the most worthy devices in terms of support and build quality.

As for the parameters, they are balanced and suitable for any task. The device has a good large display, supports LTE communication and has a high-quality battery with high autonomy.

Price: from 11,900 rub.

Probably many have at least once heard the name of this brand, which still produces good tablets and cheap ultrabooks. The model was released in September 2018 and has quite good performance with good amounts of memory. But the main thing is a high-quality detailed screen.

You can make calls using a SIM card and comfortably use all the features of the installed operating system. True, it is not entirely relevant, but given the factor of the small number of good models, this is normal. Most users will not attach any importance to this.

Advantages:

  • Acceptable price
  • Good performance
  • High-quality 2K IPS display
  • Cameras 13 and 5 megapixels
  • There is 4G LTE and GPS

Flaws:

  • Outdated Android 7.0 OS

  • Memory (RAM/built-in): 3 GB / 32 GB
  • Battery capacity: 4850 mAh
  • Operating system: Android 8.1

Price: from 14,300 rub.

The main feature of this model is its branding, that is, the build quality is excellent. Other features that deserve praise are the good detailed screen, LTE connection and the presence of a SIM card slot. As well as the current version of the operating system.

Otherwise, it is quite fast, but the battery is weak in capacity. This volume will not last long; the screen and wireless functions will quickly drain the battery. Dedicated to fans of the brand.

Advantages:

  • Acceptable price
  • Balanced Performance
  • High-quality IPS display
  • There is 4G LTE and GPS
  • High build quality
  • OS Android 8.1

Price: from 9800 rub.

A worthy model with a powerful configuration for all modern tasks. Plus, the display is excellent in quality and detail, on which watching movies and playing will be a pleasure. For this money there is nothing to complain about, only the lack of LTE connection spoils the picture. But this is not critical, there are basic wireless connections.

The tablet is good enough for most users who are looking for a device that is inexpensive, but also allows them to play on a large display. Autonomy is not the best, but acceptable.

Advantages:

  • Low price
  • Good performance
  • High-quality 2K IPS display
  • Good build quality

Flaws:

  • No LTE connection or GPS
  • Outdated OS Android 7.1

Advantages:

  • Acceptable price
  • Gaming Performance
  • High-quality 2K IPS display
  • Good cameras
  • Good build quality

conclusions

Our selection is exclusively from current models released in 2018. As a matter of principle, we did not look at tablets that were too cheap, since such devices in no way correspond to the realities of 2019. If you choose a tablet, then purchase at least 10 inches.

As for prices, this is the optimal level at which disappointment will not follow. All models are designed for both the Internet and video viewing, as well as for comfortable gaming of modern games.

TurboPad 803

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: Spreadtrum SC7731G, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display:
  • Weight: 328 g

Price: from 4,421 rub.

Perhaps the cheapest tablet computer equipped with an 8-inch LCD panel. Only operator products that are rarely on sale have a lower price, and even require prepayment for several months of communication in advance. Here you pay for the TurboPad 803, after which you forget about the store you visited.

The device turned out to be quite heavy, despite the plastic case used here. The device has a simple GPS chip at its disposal. But the most important thing is that he is at least present here. It’s better not to talk about cameras - they’re nothing. But it’s still worth saying a word about a pair of slots for SIM cards. You can use this tablet as a phone. You will also have access to the global web, but the data transfer speed will be limited to 3G networks.

Advantages

  • There are two slots for SIM cards;
  • The display has good viewing angles;
  • Not the oldest OS version;
  • Built-in Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 modules;
  • Relatively long operating time.

Flaws

  • Only 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of permanent memory;
  • Bad cameras;
  • I would like to get LTE support;
  • Stainless body.

Prestigio MultiPad PMT3131 3G

  • Operating system: Android 6.0
  • CPU:
  • Display:
  • Weight: 470 g

Price: from 6,081 rub.

A rare guest in our rating - a 10-inch tablet! The low price tag was ensured by the relatively low screen resolution - the pixelation here is striking. Otherwise, this is a typical budget tablet. It has the simplest cameras built into it, purely for the sake of attracting the buyer. The device is also equipped with two slots for SIM cards. And as you might guess, it can work in cell phone mode. As for data transmission, it is carried out via 3G networks.

The main advantage of the Prestigio MultiPad PMT3131 3G is the operating system. “Six” does not even think of becoming obsolete - it has very broad functionality and stable performance. It's a pity that some of its capabilities are limited by the components used. In particular, the buyer will have to independently adjust the brightness of the backlight, since there is no corresponding sensor.

Advantages

  • Large screen with wide viewing angles;
  • A fairly recent version of Android;
  • Moderately powerful processor;
  • Built-in Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n modules.

Flaws

  • Bad cameras;
  • Low display resolution;
  • Heavy weight;
  • Battery life could be longer;
  • Need more RAM.

Huawei MediaPad T1 7 3G 16Gb

  • Operating system: Android 4.4
  • CPU: Spreadtrum SC7731, 4 cores, 1200 MHz
  • Display:
  • Weight: 278 g

Price: from 6,250 rub.

Now the Chinese company Huawei has concentrated on flagship and mid-budget devices. However, inexpensive tablets also remain in its assortment. Some of them work without much lag, and in terms of characteristics they look relatively good. In particular, this can be said about the MediaPad T1 7. It is a rare budget device with such dimensions that receives a metal body. And this is exactly the case here! The device can also please you with the presence of space for a SIM card. With its help, you can talk to someone or access the Internet via 3G networks.

Otherwise, this is a typical “pill” sold for little money. The list of sensors here is limited to an accelerometer and a gyroscope. The battery capacity does not exceed 4100 mAh - with active use you will have to charge it every night. The simplest one has a built-in navigation module.

Advantages

  • The body is metal;
  • Built-in Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n modules;
  • There is support for 3G and phone calls;
  • The display is made using IPS technology;
  • Built-in gyroscope.

Flaws

  • Large weight for a 7-inch device;
  • Old version of the operating system;
  • Low display resolution;
  • Bad cameras.

Lenovo TAB 3 Essential 710i

  • Operating system: Android 5.0
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8321, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, IPS, 1024×600 pixels
  • Weight: 300 g

Price: from 5,990 rub.

The Chinese company Lenovo rarely sells its tablets at low prices. The TAB 3 Essential 710i is an exception to the rule. The manufacturer had to forget about expensive components when creating it. As a result, the device received a minimum amount of memory. I'm glad that there is at least a slot for a SIM card, thanks to the installation of which it becomes possible to use 3G networks.

The tablet has a battery with a capacity of 3450 mAh. Unfortunately, this is not enough for a long battery life. If you actively use the “tablet”, then by night you will need to connect to a charger. Otherwise, this is a typical budget tablet that lacks stars from the sky.

Advantages

  • A screen with wide viewing angles is installed;
  • Quite powerful processor;
  • Built-in 3G support;
  • Not the oldest version of the operating system.

Flaws

  • Large weight for a compact tablet;
  • Few auxiliary sensors;
  • Short battery life;
  • Bad cameras;
  • Very little memory.

Digma CITI 1903 4G

  • Operating system: Android 6.0
  • CPU:
  • Display: 10.1 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels

Price: from 7,650 rub.

A very controversial tablet. On the one hand, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory are built in here. You rarely see this in budget devices, which is confirmed by our rating. On the other hand, the tablet is powered by a processor that is low-power by modern standards. And the entire tablet consists of such contradictions. A fairly recent version of the operating system is installed here, but the image is displayed on the screen with a low resolution. You can also be pleased with the capacious battery, which provides moderately long operation from a full charge. Cameras can be upsetting. Although they cannot be called outright bad - the front-facing camera, in particular, shows itself worthy in video calls.

Advantages

  • Good battery life;
  • Large amount of RAM and permanent memory;
  • There are two SIM card slots;
  • Built-in LTE support;
  • The display has wide viewing angles;
  • The latest version of Android is not installed.

Flaws

  • Low resolution 10.1-inch screen;
  • Not a very powerful processor;
  • Almost complete absence of auxiliary sensors.

Where can I buy:"Regard" and some other online stores

4Good T101i WiFi 32Gb

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Atom Z3735F, 4 cores, 1330 MHz
  • Display: 10.1 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels
  • Weight: 890 g

Price: from 6,990 rub.

If you want to buy a tablet inexpensively, then first of all you will have to choose among the options that run Android. If you need something like a laptop with full Windows 10 installed, then you can take a look at the 4Good T101i. You won't get long battery life here. But the device comes with a docking station in the form of a keyboard, on which you can find a full-size USB 2.0 and some other useful connectors.

This tablet offers access to the Internet only using Wi-Fi. The device includes 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory. But you need to understand that for Windows this is very little - you won’t install a full-fledged Adobe Photoshop here, just as you will have to forget about heavy computer games like FIFA 17 or Battlefield 1. This product is primarily intended for convenient work with documents, but nothing more. .

Advantages

Flaws

  • Very heavy weight;
  • Low memory;
  • Gets very hot when charging;
  • Short battery life.

LEXAND SC7 PRO HD

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8312, 2 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, 1024x600 pixels
  • Weight: 270 g

Price: from 5,060 rub.

This tablet was primarily created for taxi drivers. The manufacturer himself recommends using it as a GPS navigator. This is evidenced by the presence of a full-fledged version of the Navitel application in the kit, which usually costs a lot of money. If you insert a SIM card, you can also find out about traffic jams in time. But you shouldn’t hope for fast data transfer - only 3G networks are supported here as much as possible. However, the tablet cannot be called fast and powerful at all - it is not suitable for ordinary home use.

Advantages

  • There are two SIM card slots;
  • Built-in 3G support;
  • The full version of Navitel is preinstalled;
  • Not the oldest version of Android is used;
  • Relatively light weight.

Flaws

  • Very short battery life;
  • Weak processor;
  • Little permanent memory;
  • Not the best display.

Acer Iconia Talk B1-723 16G

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8321, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, TFT, 1024×600 pixels
  • Weight: 280 g

Price: from 4,990 rub.

This tablet was created for those people who require a product from a company with a name. This is not some nameless Chinese; if necessary, you can easily find a service center in your city that cooperates with the tablet computer manufacturer. The creators have introduced 16 GB of permanent memory here, which may well be enough at first. But 1 GB of RAM is already a strange solution; the operating system and applications barely have enough of it. There is also a slot for a SIM card - strictly for data transfer via 3G. Somewhere under the body there is a modest 3380 mAh battery. Overall, this is a good choice for those who need a high-quality tablet for reading books on the subway and solving other very simple tasks.

Advantages

  • Optimal amount of permanent memory;
  • Relatively light weight;
  • There is support for 3G networks;
  • Quite powerful processor;
  • Not a very old version of Android.

Flaws

  • Low RAM;
  • There are practically no auxiliary sensors;
  • Low battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 SM-T280

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: Spreadtrum SC8830, 4 cores, 1300 MHz
  • Display: 7 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels
  • Weight: 274 g

Price: from 9,790 rub.

This tablet barely fits into our frames. Its cost is only slightly less than 10 thousand rubles. In this regard, not every person will call this creation budget. However, you shouldn’t waste money on purchasing it. The device works much more stable than many of its competitors discussed in today's top. The device includes 1.5 GB of RAM - this is quite a good parameter. But there is very little permanent memory here - you will definitely have to get a microSD card. You can also note the excellent working GPS module, which also recognizes signals from Russian satellites. Everything is fine here and with battery life. At the same time, the high battery capacity had virtually no effect on the weight, which is also good news.

Advantages

Flaws

  • Permanent memory - only 8 GB;
  • No 3G or 4G support;
  • The cost is already on the verge of the budget segment.

Archos 80b Helium

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: MediaTek MT8735, 4 cores, 1000 MHz
  • Display: 8 inches, IPS, 1280×800 pixels

Price: from 8,530 rub.

A very good tablet that has collected a lot of positive reviews online. People like the ability to install two SIM cards here and talk quietly on them. Wi-Fi 802.11n is used here to access the Internet. But if this does not seem enough, then the cellular operator and its LTE network will come to the rescue. There is also a relatively good screen installed here - yes, it has a low resolution by modern standards, but its viewing angles do not let us down. But even more surprising is the presence of light and proximity sensors - these are very rare guests in budget “tablets”. The tablet may disappoint in the future due to its weight. After purchasing, you quickly realize that holding a 360-gram device in one hand is quite difficult. Therefore, it is not recommended to buy this device for reading books on the subway.

Advantages

  • Availability of auxiliary sensors;
  • Availability of two slots for SIM cards;
  • 16 GB of permanent memory;
  • Not the oldest version of Android;
  • LTE networks are supported.

Flaws

  • Decent weight;
  • Bad cameras;
  • Low RAM;
  • I would like a higher resolution display.

Another tablet from the USA is the Kindle Fire HDX from Amazon. It made it onto our list, first of all, because of the reasonable ratio of parameters such as price and quality. The tablet computer uses the full version of the Android system. It can be purchased for only $230. There are two display modifications available - with a diagonal of 7 or 8.9 inches.

Our 2014 tablet rating would be incomplete without a device like the Xperia Z2 Tablet from Sony. It has become a well-thought-out and highly successful product from the company with a powerful processor and an excellent matrix. We also note that the thickness of the case is only 6.1 millimeters. In addition, the device is impervious to dust and moisture. The same is possible as on devices of earlier models.

And finally, let us note such a tablet computer as the Galaxy NotePro from Samsung. It can perhaps be called the best device among all that were mentioned above. This is a very powerful tablet with a 2560 x 1600 pixel screen and 3 gigabytes of RAM. It also comes with an electronic marker called the S Pen. The only drawback of the device is the price of $700.

How to choose a tablet in 2014? What should you be guided by, besides the rating?

When a potential buyer comes to a store (or chooses a device online), he looks first at its cost, and only secondarily at its characteristics and reviews. How to choose exactly what you need?

Of course, if finances are not a problem, it is best to buy a tablet from Apple or Samsung for $700. These are devices with a high level of performance and quality. If the user cannot afford such an expensive tablet computer, he should focus on those parameters that would be enough for him to work normally.

Many Chinese tablets have a good price-quality ratio. When choosing, you need to pay attention to the build quality and equipment, since there should be no complaints about it even in a budget device.

Regardless of what exactly you need a tablet for (for work, games or social networks), it should be practical and fit comfortably in your hand.

Particular attention should be paid to the screen, processor, amount of RAM, graphics, amount of internal memory, battery capacity, camera (if this parameter is of interest), ports, the presence of a Wi-Fi module, weight and dimensions of the device.

In this review, we present to you 11, without a doubt, the best budget tablets available for purchase in Russia in 2014. All budget tablets that you can find in the review have been reviewed by our experts.

Just two years ago there was no such thing as a budget tablet, or at least devices that could be called that. Today, the tablet market is definitely on the rise. And today we would like to select and rank the eleven best budget tablets of 2014 available in Russia.

When shopping for a budget tablet for 2014, you have a few things to consider, so you shouldn't limit yourself to just our selection of this year's budget tablets.

The first thing you need to remember is that a tablet that costs less than 12,000 rubles will not be able to compete with the iPad 4 in terms of features and performance.

You should still look for a budget tablet to buy that has the best features for the price. The main areas to look for are: built-in memory, screen size, display pixel density, processor, battery life, dimensions and weight. In all of these hardware categories - with the exception of tablet sizes - bigger is always better. For example, a dual-core processor will likely be better than a single-core processor, and a 323 pixels per inch screen will look much better than a 132 pixels per inch screen.

The last thing you should know is that most of the budget tablets in the market run on Google's Android operating system. This is not a bad thing at all as the OS is easy to use and is improving every day. This also means that you are limited to the Google Play app store, and again, in this expert's opinion, this is not such a bad thing. The Google Play Store has a great selection of apps, movies, books, magazines, and songs available for download. Just make sure you're running the latest version of Android and the tablet offers access to the Google Play store.

So, let's go. Eleven best budget tablets of 2014:

Rating: 4/5.

It is relatively difficult to give the ASUS Fonepad 7 LTE an unambiguous rating, because the tablet, in our opinion, is not suitable for everyone. For those looking for a 7-inch tablet that can make calls, the ASUS Fonepad 7 LTE is certainly worth considering, although we're not entirely sure you'll want to make phone calls from a 7-inch tablet.

If you're just looking for a 7-inch tablet, you might find a better deal elsewhere. We really liked the Memo Pad 7 from ASUS (RUR 6,000), we also like the Nexus 7 (RUR 7,000) and the Motorola Moto G (RUR 8,000), although we recommend the latter as the best value smartphone. Well, for 13,000 rubles you can count on a brilliant 7-inch tablet or smartphone.

10. GoClever Tab R974

Rating: 3.5/5

One of the best budget tablets we've seen, the GoClever Tab R974 suffers from a number of issues common to budget tablets, including poor screen resolution and poor build quality. But it has a great feature set and decent performance. If 10,000 rubles is your limit, and you are looking for a 10-inch budget tablet, this is a good buy.

9. Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9

Rating: 4/5

The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 offers good value for money for those who won't mind Amazon's limitations. For most users this won't matter at all as it's certainly not a bad system, especially if you intend to use the tablet primarily as a book. There is nothing to complain about the hardware, with the exception of not the most convenient buttons - an excellent screen for the money, but the application store is characterized by a meager selection compared to Google Play, but an unpretentious user will find everything he needs.

8. Archos 80Titanium

Rating: 4/5

The Archos 80 Titanium proves that you can get a decent tablet without breaking the bank. Its screen may not offer high resolution, but it is a good IPS panel that is no more than one and a half times worse than the iPad Mini. Performance is also good, as is build quality, although the camera leaves much to be desired. If you're on a budget or want to buy a tablet for your child, this is a great choice.

Rating: 4/5

A budget Android tablet with brilliant weapons. Acer Iconia A1 can be called one of the best tablets in terms of price-quality ratio. If you're looking for a tablet for browsing the internet, social media and watching videos, look no further than the A1. The fact that the tablet offers a MicroSD card slot makes it a very attractive device for RUB 7,500.

6. AmazonKindleFireHD (2013)

Rating: 4/5

Since we first reviewed the Fire HD, Amazon has released an update that adds a new feature: FreeTime. This option turns the Kindle into a great tablet for kids, allowing you to create separate user profiles and set screen time. It's helpful that you can set limits on different formats, so your child doesn't end up playing on the tablet all day.

If you can easily live with a limited amount of memory (8 GB), the price tag of six thousand rubles makes the tablet an excellent choice, best for your child.

5. Barnes & Noble Nook HD

Rating: 4/5

There's little fault with its hardware, although at this price it's hard to find fault with anything. Since the Nook isn't limited to Barnes & Noble's content repository, surprisingly, it becomes an interesting proposition. An easy to use, well-built tablet at a great price.

Rating: 4/5

Costing just 6,000 rubles, the Asus Memo Pad 7 is truly impressive, not to mention the attractive design and strong build, the tablet boasts hardware that is well inferior to tablets with a much higher price tag. A screen with a higher resolution than its peers, front speakers and much more. If you're considering a budget tablet for 2014, like the Tesco Hudl, Kindle Fire HD or even the Nexus 7, the Asus Memo Pad 7 is also worth a look.

3. Tesco Hudl

Rating: 4/5

Tesco Hudl is a budget tablet for 2014 with a great design and good build quality. The key specifications are better than the tablet's price might suggest. You can count on a good processor and a quality 7-inch screen. A MicroSD card slot and a Micro-HDMI port are two more reasons to choose Hudl over Google and Amazon alternatives.

2. Advent Vega Tegra Note 7

Rating: 4/5

For its price, the Advent Vega offers more than the Tesco Hudl in almost every way. Google's new Nexus 7 is better, of course, mainly for its good screen and long battery life, but it also costs RUB 2,500 more and doesn't have a MicroSD card slot. If you're in the market for a budget Android tablet, the Tegra Note 7 is a great choice.

Rating: 4.5/5

The 2013 Asus Nexus 7 became more expensive than the original model, although it saw only minor changes in design, although the exceptional performance gains and decent camera justify the increase in price. It still lacks MicroSD, but for most consumers it's the best 7-inch tablet on the market.

Developing year after year, the tablet market presents users with more and more new device models that differ for the better in their characteristics, capabilities are growing, prices for specific models are falling, support for games and high-quality video is improving, so it is not surprising that gamers are actively purchasing these touch devices , becoming more and more popular in the world. After all, this device can provide the user with its main advantage - compactness and portability. By putting this compact, and at the same time powerful device in the large pocket of your jacket, or in a bag over your shoulder, you can go about your business, go on a trip or go to work. Numerous possibilities are collected in a compact case - surfing the Internet or watching a video from YouTube is not a problem, because tablets are now equipped with modules such as 3G/Wi-Fi. Brief description of touch devices

iPad Air - a new product that deserves attention

General view of the tablet

Here is a 2014 tablet that deserves special attention. As you know, Yabloko offers the world exceptionally high-quality products, and this device is no exception. Its advantages are obvious: stunning design, metal case, extremely light in weight, it is based on the Apple A7 64-bit, and has an M7 coprocessor. I'm pleased with the battery life, it is extremely long, there is a Smart Case available, this model has also been affected by some functional improvements regarding data exchange.

The disadvantages include RAM (1 GB), the impossibility of downgrading to iOS 6, and the fact that there is no Touch ID scanner is also upsetting.

Xperia Z2 Tablet

Appearance of the device

Main features of this device:

  • OS Android v.4.4
  • 16 GB integrated memory
  • The display is extremely high, by today's standards, resolution (1920×1200, with a diagonal of 10.1″)
  • Has GPS navigation
  • microSDXC supported
  • You can connect with the world through protocols such as: 3G, Wi-Fi, you can transfer data via Bluetooth, NFC and LTE are available
  • Weight: 439 g.

The tablet is distinguished by its water resistance, indescribable style, amazingly high-quality sound (both in headphones and through speakers), freezing for this model is completely rare! It works perfectly and, among other things, has excellent build quality.

Google Nexus 7

What does a tablet device look like?

Another tablet from 2014, which differs from its competitors at an acceptable price (in comparison with the same Xperia Z2 Tablet, the cost of which is extremely high and may seem unjustified to many users). At the same time, the tablet retains the main features of a high-quality modern device (FullHD; 7″), a 4-core CPU, 2.00 GB RAM, a 5 MP camera, and, finally, the most unusual thing – support for wireless chargers.

Please note a special drawback of this tablet! There is no memory card slot here! Thus, it is not possible to expand the memory. Undoubtedly, this will upset all those who like to store movies on their tablet. Well, for music lovers this drawback may not seem significant, since mp3 does not take up much space and can be downloaded in the amount of 1000 tracks at a time, without problems.

Android device iPad mini Retina

Tablet with Retina display

By the name it is easy to determine that the display in this device is of the Retina type (with an IPS-type matrix). As for its resolution, it is extremely high here (2048×1536). There is a special oleophobic coating, color rendering is also pleasing: 16 million colors. The CPU in the new product is Apple A7, frequency 1.30 GHz, 64 bit, PowerVR G6430 graphics will also add productivity power to the gadget in games and videos. As for wireless protocols, here we will see Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4. As for the memory capacity, it is 16 GB. The weight of the new item is 331 g.

Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 in a nutshell

Take a look at this thin and light Android gadget, which boasts a high-resolution display (2560x1600; 8.4″). Having such a device in your pocket, you can safely go on a long trip; the device is suitable for watching videos and games, listening to music and surfing the Internet. Separately, it is necessary to highlight the extremely thin frame of the display; it especially emphasizes the style of the new gadget. Thanks to the dedicated e-Meeting app, you can easily hold meetings without having to make endless printouts or spend hours writing on a whiteboard with a marker - everything is much simpler! You just need to connect all the tablets to a single network, and the meeting can be held without much difficulty, in a modern interactive mode.

Appearance of the tablet

The “remote access” function (Remote PC) is preinstalled, now you can connect to your PC in just a few minutes - creating, copying, editing files using programs that are installed on your PC (Windows or MacOS), even if between you and your computer for tens of kilometers! This is no longer a problem, the built-in capabilities of the tablet device allow you to carry out any operations with your files.

Waterproof new product from Sony

This is what a Sony tablet looks like

Sony Xperia Tablet Z, with a 10″ display diagonal, boasts an outstanding “airy” design in the OmniBalance style. Here I would like to highlight the high quality of materials, compact dimensions, excellent symmetry, pleasing to the eye. The thickness of this device is 6.9 mm, its weight is 500 g. Separately, it is necessary to highlight the dust resistance and moisture resistance of the tablet device. Half an hour under water at a depth of 1 m is not so bad, right? After all, many people now like to bathe in the bathroom with a tablet.

Software Update

How to update the software version

On all Android tablets, the update can be done through the Settings menu of the tablet itself. To do this, go to “About your tablet,” then click “System updates.” The program will search for available updates for your version of Android, after which, if updates are found, the program will ask you for your consent to apply the updates, after which it will do everything itself.

ROOT rights

Rooting program

To obtain ROOT rights on an Android device, use the GingerBreak program. GingerBreak is software designed directly for obtaining ROOT. Obtaining “Ruth” here takes about 10 minutes, but after completing this simple procedure you will receive new opportunities and privileges for your sensory apparatus!

Note! To use the program, you will need to reboot the device, otherwise unexpected problems may arise, in rare cases it can even lead to equipment failure.

So, the tablets of 2014 truly deserve attention! Providing the user with a wide range of possibilities, these devices combine compactness and high power!
