Program for blocking unknown numbers. Call blocking

"Call blocking" will hide all unwanted calls far away and for a long time!

"Call Blocker" is a free application that blocks annoying calls and SMS. You can configure blocking methods, such as calls or SMS from one number. This app will help you elegantly avoid unwanted calls and SMS when you are at work, meeting, driving or relaxing.
Compared to other applications, Call Blocker does not have complex settings or confusing operations. We offer you a dynamic main interface, so you can familiarize yourself with the locking modes instead of diving into settings.
We offer 4 blocking modes, the dynamic interface will change automatically, so you can easily recognize the current mode (available modes: block everyone, block only blacklist, accept only whitelist, accept only contacts).
This app also provides automatic reply options. There are 4 modes: phone power off, busy, out of network coverage, number not in service. (Only available in Simplified Chinese Version)
There is a general switch that allows you to immediately turn the lock mode on or off without going into settings.

* All calls from numbers on the block list will be blocked. Details can be checked in blocked call records.
* All SMS from numbers on the block list will be blocked. Details can be checked in the blocked SMS records.
* Here you can add numbers to the white and black lists. You can block both calls and SMS from the blacklist, or just one thing (either calls or SMS). Whitelisted calls and SMS are not blocked by default, but you can change the settings as you wish. Blocking rules can be changed in blocking mode.

* One column is records of blocked calls, blocked calls are displayed here, you can delete records. Another column contains entries about blocked SMS with information about them; entries can also be deleted.
* The simplified Chinese version also contains a feature that allows the user to select autoresponder options. There are 4 modes: phone power off, busy, out of network coverage, number not in service.
* When a blocking occurs, you are notified about this by an icon in the status bar. Click on it to check the blocking information.

The domestic solution Vlad Lee traditionally offers blocking of unwanted calls and SMS, as well as blacklist management. According to the developer, the application does not consume any extra resources of the mobile device’s memory and processor, being very lightweight. At the same time, the numbers are blocked quietly and without any signs of a call, which is good news, because Whoscall cannot do this.

The resource consumption was not surprising, since Whoscall had the same figure - 68.7 MB with zero processor load. In terms of permissions, everything is in order - nothing that the blocker would not require. Moreover, each resolution can be explained by the functionality of the program.

As for system resources at the end of testing, memory consumption increased to 86 MB, the processor was strained to 1.6%. For Whoscall this figure was lower – 0-0.4%/65-71 MB. In the case of traffic - only 400 KB for 15 minutes of use, apparently only for advertising, since the application does not have an online subscriber base.

According to DU Battery Saver, battery consumption in 15 minutes was 1.4%. For comparison, the basic Android launcher consumed 1.5% from the moment the monitor was launched. The indicator is small, but it will affect the battery.

"Black List" (Vlad Lee) is a great alternative to Whoscall. There is no subscriber ID detection, but SMS blocking works without problems. Moreover, in Russia the first option is still poorly implemented. Everything is fine with resource and traffic consumption. Advertising? Yes, it’s a drawback, but you can also support a domestic manufacturer with 79 rubles. Otherwise, an excellent blocker that lets one call through, but completely blocks any SMS.

Blacklist (Axoft)

Blacklist studio Axoft is a simple program that allows you to block unwanted calls, SMS or MMS. The call blocker supports non-numeric phone numbers, which are very often used when sending advertising messages. There is also a notification mode for blocked calls so that you don't miss an important message.

There seems to be nothing special here, but there is still one peculiarity - the volume of the application in the system is only one and a half megabytes. What can be included in such a distribution? Or is a real blocker supposed to weigh that much while controlling the dialer at the software level?

This Blacklist only made us happy. Not only does the distribution weigh only 1.5 MB, but it also consumes 53.5 MB with zero CPU load. By the way, the lowest figure among all experimental subjects. And the permits generally have everything to a minimum and no nails.

Let's return to the resources at the end of testing. RAM consumption hasn't moved one iota! Only the processor strained a little - 0.1%. This adds up to the consumption of battery capacity – only 1.2%. Traffic is 68.2 KB, which is not surprising, because there are no advertisements.

Blacklist Axoft is another program that can and should be installed on your phone. In principle, the blocker combines all the advantages of the Black List and Whoscall, and it’s worth paying to unlock additional functions, even if competitors offer them for free. The decisive factors were a user-friendly interface, the ability to fully configure it yourself, almost silent call blocking and minimal load on the system, which saves battery power.

Before us is another possible alternative, but this time to the Vlad Lee application. It also implements blocking of SMS and all possible calls, and it is possible to create and view your own blacklist. Simply put, everything that is inherent in a self-respecting call blocker is present. At the same time, the program has every chance to be advertising-free, consume fewer resources and not “torment” the battery. Don't forget about the enviable cross-platform functionality of Android.

Despite its poor functionality, at the beginning of testing the resource consumption was 83.6 MB of RAM with zero load on the processor. Of course, this is not the worst indicator when compared with the same Phone Warrior (0-0.6%/119-127 MB), but much worse than that of the competitor described above. But there is a full set of permissions possible for such programs, but nothing criminal. At the same time, the distribution weighs four times more than the domestic solution - 23.40 MB. Yes, he will not be able to become a serious opponent to the Black List.

Now about consumption at the end of testing. Unfortunately, it did not please us much. Judge for yourself: 90 MB of RAM and 4.3% for the processor. At the same time, the call blocker seriously destroys the battery charge - 11.3% in 15 minutes of testing - horror, and that’s all. There is also a problem with traffic - 2.4 MB, unreasonable by anything other than advertising. Why, since there is no online database here?

The conclusion is disappointing. The Green Banana studio call blocker is not the best choice, although it copes with blocking at a basic level. Resource and battery consumption make it a burden rather than a helper; let's add machine translation, not the best management, meager settings and advertising as a given, which cannot be avoided. In general, we indulged ourselves and took it all to hell.

Blacklist (AntTek Mobile)

Blacklist offers extensive settings for blocking unwanted calls. Thus, for this application to work, it is enough to have a basic caller ID (incoming calls). Caller numbers can be blacklisted or excluded with customizable blocking options.

There is an on/off schedule and MMS blocking and much, much more that competitors do not have. But is it? And how is this actually implemented? Does it make sense to buy a program if similar functions can be found in free analogues?

The load indicators are average - 95.6 MB of memory with zero load on the system. There are also no special complaints about permissions - there is nothing that the blocker does not need. Now let's check the experimental functions and... they don't work. You don’t have to look at the blocked call log at all, because there’s simply nothing there.

Just for fun, let's look at system resources. RAM consumption remained almost unchanged - 96 MB, but the processor was strained - 3.5% of the load. At the same time, the battery consumption was 15.4% in just 15 minutes, which is generally unforgivable. Traffic – 1.9 MB per advertisement.

Blacklist (AntTek Mobile) is just another not the best solution, which also requires money. The only advantage is convenient control, which I liked, and it’s a pity that the previously reviewed programs did not take this approach, but it is what it is, and therefore we strongly do not recommend installing such a program.

What to choose?

At the end of the cycle, Blacklist lithiumS became the leader. It tightly jams any call, does not load the system or harm the battery, offers adequate settings and simple controls.

In second place is Blacklist Axoft, which combines all the advantages of the Black List and Whoscall. At the same time, Whoscall itself loses only in that it still misses one call, which is what the domestic “Black List” does, which is distinguished by its super-convenient management. In general, as always, the choice is yours, since any advantage for someone can become a disadvantage and vice versa.
