Regular buses run every 15-20 minutes. Their routes extend to the popular ski areas of Soldeu el Tarter and Pas de la Casa. Free ski-buses run only twice a day. This is where their inconvenience lies.
It is almost impossible to catch a taxi on the street; it must be ordered in advance by phone. The cost of travel within the city will be 5-6 €, and to get to the ski lift you will have to pay 15-20 €. At night, taxi fares double.
For those who want to actively move around the country, you should rent a car. The rental price will be from 60 € per day.
Please note that from October 10 to May 15, winter tires must be installed on the car, and chains must be wrapped on the wheels for trips to the mountains. The implementation of these rules is strictly monitored by law enforcement officers.
