Packard Bell laptop won't turn on

For many modern users, a situation in which a Packard Bell laptop does not turn on can be a real tragedy. That is why it is very important to find a contractor who can find the problem in a short time and make high-quality repairs.

Our service center is one of these performers. We have been working with Packard Bell laptops for many years, we restore their functionality in Moscow and St. Petersburg, in Voronezh and Nizhny Novgorod, in Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk, we can offer all our clients a number of advantages:

  • urgent repair within 1-2 hours depending on the complexity of the problem.

Reasons why your Packard Bell laptop won't turn on

The first stage of any repair is diagnostics, which allows you to understand why the Packard Bell laptop does not turn on. The use of innovative equipment, as well as highly qualified specialists, allows us to quickly identify the reasons for the appearance of such a symptom listed below:

  • problems with the power system. They can be as simple as contamination of the connector contacts, breakdown of the power supply and battery, which can be replaced in the shortest possible time even with your own hands, or as complex as a breakdown of the controller, difficulties with the motherboard;
  • failure of the matrix or video card. In this case, the Packard Bell laptop does not turn on and does not display an image on the screen, but the fan is working and the indicators glow in the usual colors;
  • failure or severe contamination of the cooling system. Overheating very often leads to the device turning off and no longer starting;
  • The operating system does not start, although the device works as usual. In this situation, a possible option to save the device is to reinstall the operating system. Also, if you have access to the BIOS menu, you can check the settings or replace the firmware.

We strongly do not recommend manually troubleshooting any problems that prevent your Packard Bell laptop from turning on. Even if you have some experience in such work, it is better to refrain from repairs and call our service center. By doing this, firstly, you will be able to maintain the warranty, and secondly, you will avoid accidental damage to serviceable components.

Restoring a Packard Bell system is a typical question asked of professional sysdamins. Restoring the system on a Packard Bell laptop is not a very complicated procedure; you can do it in no time, without going to specialized workshops. The main thing is that you will get a unique chance to improve your skills, and besides, you can save a small amount and spend it on ice cream.

Packard Bell system recovery is necessary when the laptop starts to work too slowly or refuses to turn on at all. Such consequences can be caused by incorrect operation of programs, exposure to computer software, etc. It is impossible to go through all the options, so we will immediately move on to a practical solution to this problem.

Function inside Windows

The simplest system recovery on a Packard Bell laptop and desktop PC is performed through the classic service, which is available in any version of Windows. Standard system recovery allows you to perform a simple rollback, while preserving your personal files - music, photos, videos. The program files will also remain in place, so installed applications will not be affected either, unless of course they interfere with system files.

The method of working with this program is very simple - select a reporting point and voila! The system will automatically restore the operation of the operating system.

We launch the procedure along the path Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore.

If you are interested, then read the greeting and click “Next”.

In the next window you can see the latest active points created automatically. For every important event in the operating system, points are created here. Select the desired “moment” and click “Next” again. If in doubt, it is better to choose the “oldest” point.

Packard Bell system recovery begins immediately after clicking “Finish”. The last window displays the system partition for which recovery is available. The actual process will begin upon reboot. Please note that the computer will turn on very slowly. This indicates that the “rehabilitation” of the laptop has been started and after the final loading of Windows, a corresponding message will appear on the display.

In a similar way, you can restore the Packard Bell system, even if the car does not turn on at all. This is what “Safe Mode” was created for.. If you still don’t know, then I’ll give you instructions. This is a special Windows startup mode that includes a minimum of programs and services. When you turn on the computer, you will see a simplified Windows theme, and if you launch the task manager, you can see how few programs were running.

This mode is launched by pressing the F8 key immediately when you turn on the computer. The following picture will appear where we select the appropriate function.

After launch, we proceed to “Recovery”, described in the previous chapter. We proceed in the same way. After the reboot, the user will see the traditional Windows welcome window and everything will be fine!

Full rollback to factory settings

A full rollback can be accomplished without outside help. Such a restoration of the Packard Bell system to its factory state is necessary when even safe mode does not help to reach the heart of the laptop.

So let's get started. First of all, open the BIOS and look for the recovery function(D2D Recovery). The path to this setting is shown in the following screen.

Turn on D2D Recovery, save the changes and reboot. Immediately after the reboot, click on the F8 key to bring up the following menu

We select the very first point, as noted in this example. After this, the downloading of special files and preparation for the important procedure will begin.

In the next menu “rehabilitation of a Packard Bell laptop”, select the latest Recovery function.

Of course, the program will warn us that all information will be erased and blah, blah, blah...

Then a window will open with data about the hard drive partition. We check and move forward.

Then another warning may pop up, click OK and watch as the laptop returns to its original state. During operation, the laptop will reboot several times, don’t pay attention to this and don’t press anything! Yes, just in case.

As soon as the system displays a success message, click OK.

The last thing you have to work with is the traditional Windows settings. After this, the laptop will become working again.

That's all!

Congratulations!

System recovery on a Packard Bell laptop went as expected! It is clearly visible that this process is not difficult; even schoolchildren can cope with it. Don't rush, try the “rehabilitation” methods described above! Good luck and happy recovery!

Question: Packard bell easynote 11 ts laptop won't turn on

Good afternoon. I cleaned the packard bell easynote 11 ts laptop from dust, assembled the system, secured the mother p5WEO LA-6901P rev 1.0 - turned it on, started working, assembled it completely, pressed the effect power button 0. The battery charge indicator shows charging (lit yellow). Disassembled, checked, assembled everything. there is power on the button (loop)) 2 tracks of 3 volts and 1 of 1 volt, there is no reaction when pressing the button, I accidentally closed the contacts with my finger, the laptop turned on before the BIOS screen saver and went out, I specially closed the loop with my finger - it turned on again, it came to loading Windows and turned off again. I removed the memory, hard, percent - zero effect (pressing the button does nothing) from closing with a finger it starts and turns off after 2 seconds, when the hard one is on it makes one squeak and goes out.

Answer: Everything is intact, at the button contact there are 16.4 volts, I seem to have shortened something. I'll take it to the center then, because who knows what's wrong with it. Trivial cleaning and so many problems.

Question: Packard bell EasyNote TE11HC cannot change Windows from 8 to 7

I have a Packard bell EasyNote TE11HC laptop, I bought it along with Windows 8 and now I want to install Windows 7 via a USB flash drive, “BIOS Version V2.03” settings, but the BIOS is not familiar to me, everything is different, please help me change Windows.

Answer: I also just installed Windows 7 on Packard bell EasyNote and at first it did not want to boot from a pre-prepared (using UltraISO) flash drive. The previous post helped a lot: I posted Boot Mode V Legacy(the ability to change the load order list was blocked), saved, exited. It didn't help... The laptop didn't see the flash drive.

I entered the BIOS again through F2. Again in Boot and lo and behold - Legasy mode, the boot order can be edited and it differs from the recently set one, the flash drive is recognized. Raised with help F6 booted from the flash drive up and rebooted. The installation has started.

Maybe it will help someone...

Question: Packard bell easynote te11hc laptop cannot detect hard drive when installing Windows 7

Hello. I got my hands on a Packard Bell Easynote te11hc laptop with the Windows 7 OS that would not boot. When I try to restore the OS through the boot disk, it does not detect the disk (the BIOS HDD sees it and is booting ahci). I connected the disk to the computer and the disk was detected as unformatted. The necessary information was saved and the disk was formatted. It was successfully identified and working. But when I returned to the laptop and tried to install Windows 7x64, I couldn’t decide, adding sata drivers from the manufacturer’s website did not help.

Answer: Thanks for the advice. Only full disk formatting helped.

Question: Packard Bell EasyNote TS11-HR-217ru (6 months) and Laptop Keyboard

I have a Packard Bell EasyNote TS11-HR-217ru laptop, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Service Pack 1 (pirate), the drivers are all fresh
Laptop is 6 months old

The below problem continues for 1 month

Problem with the "left alt", "f", "h", "a", "s" keys
They either work in combination - that is, if one of the listed keys works, then the others also work...
Or they do not work in combination - that is, if one of the listed keys does not work, then the others do not work either...

It is impossible to find out when they will work or not work - this is known, probably, to one manufacturer... Moreover, adjacent keys always work perfectly...

If you press one of the above keys with force for a long time or simply hammer it, the key will work...

Absolutely no liquids were spilled on the keyboard, except that one stupid person ate cookies right above the keyboard...

The laptop has never been taken apart, no internal components have been replaced...

Please explain where this problem comes from? How to avoid it in the future? Is it possible to get rid of it yourself?

Answer: Sylar82, the design of the keyboard itself does not imply its repair. Usually the old one is thrown away and a new one is bought. Before changing, try removing the laptop battery for a couple of minutes with the power off.

Added after 1 minute

Message from aklesey1

My laptop lasted a little over 8 months, and then this problem pops up with the dancing keyboard... and this despite the fact that I use my laptop carefully and carefully... I also haven’t run out of warranty... why do I need a warranty then? 1 year if after 8 months it is!!!

Breakdowns happen, and defects occur. On my Asus, after a year and a half of careful use, the hinge broke. Metal fatigue, its low quality and flimsy design played their toll.

Question: Packard Bell EASYNOTE TS11HR (LA-6901P Rev 2.0) - No response to the power button

Good day.
Laptop Packard Bell EASYNOTE TS11HR. There is no response to the power button, but the power supply connection indicator is on and the battery is charging. Need help making a diagnosis.

In general, the situation is similar to the one described.
I also cleaned the dust, cold-welded the fallen plastic fasteners, and loosened the screen hinges. I installed the motherboard in place, connected the keyboard, touchpad, memory and hard drive. I attached an external monitor (the standard one was lying aside). A test run showed that everything was working at that time. I turned off the laptop programmatically, and then removed the cable from the power supply.

When I connected the original screen and attached all the other panels, the laptop did not want to come to life. There is absolutely no reaction to pressing the power button. The only thing that works is the battery charge indicator when you connect it to the network.

There is a possibility that the tracks in the cable from the power button were torn (I inserted/pulled it out many times, bending it in the process) or something on the board itself was damaged by static.

Help me make a more accurate diagnosis. I have a multimeter and I know how to use it, but I don’t know where and what to measure. I hope the problem is only with the switch.

Answer: Connect the board to the power supply and measure the voltage at chokes 2 and 3 (numbered above in the picture)
Unscrew the board with the power button and connect it to the motherboard. Measure the voltage at the button.
Also next to the button there is a three-legged microcircuit, this is a LID sensor, measure the voltage on its legs.
Always take measurements relative to the ground, that is, the negative probe into the mounting hole in the motherboard, or on USB. Results here.

Question: Problem with Packard bell laptop keyboard

The other day a problem appeared with the keyboard of the Packard bell Easynote TE69KB laptop; some keys stopped working, namely LShift, 6,8,5, F keys and others. It started with the fact that when you opened a folder or browser, it began to open again and again, ad infinitum, until you closed at least one tab. When opening the notepad and pressing any character, the system began to continuously display the number 1, and this could only be stopped by closing the notepad. NOD32 antivirus found a couple of threats, eliminated them, but nothing changed. I read somewhere that Dr.web can help, it found 2 other threats, but nothing changed. The restore point, unfortunately, did not help, as it was deleted thanks to the antivirus. Since everything else I can do is reinstall windowa, I reinstalled windows 8.1, but that didn’t help either, except that the laptop stopped flooding with units, but some keys still don’t work. I explained it in as much detail as possible, I hope for your help.

Answer: Yes, that means the problem is not in the software, but in the keyboard itself.
I will change
