Death Knight Artifacts. Death Knight Artifacts How to get a hidden type of artifact for the Blood spec

This material opens a series of postings about the type of artifact weapons in World of Warcraft: Legion for each individual class and spec. In the first issue, we'll look at what the developers offered the death knights.

In my subjective opinion, the ancholics received the best weapons. FDK's swords are not bad, but the blood's are not so smooth. However, all markers have different tastes and colors. From this material you will learn for what feats you will get access to this or that type of artifact weapon, including hidden ones. For those who are interested in the details, read. There is information about the mechanics and how they are pumped up in.

~~~~~Part I. Class description, brief history~~~~~
Ghosts of Justice
Having become the battle leader of the Horde, Orgrim Doomhammer first crushed the orc warlocks from the Shadow Council. He reluctantly agreed to spare the former head of the Council, Gul'dan, in exchange for loyalty. In turn, Gul'dan promised to create a detachment of new warriors who would serve the Horde. He struggled for a long time over the souls of the murdered members of the Council, until he finally managed to infuse the spirit of the necrolyte Theron Gorefiend into the body of one of the dead knights of Stormwind. This is how the first death knight appeared. In the same way, Gul'dan revived the remaining members of the Council. The unholy army flooded Azeroth with fear and chaos during the Second War.
After the death of Gul'dan, part of the Horde, including the death knights, retreated through the Dark Portal to Draenor. Almost all the surviving death knights disappeared after the destruction of Draenor; only Theron Gorefiend remained, who now hid in the Black Temple in Outland.
The Lich King's Retinue
Years after the destruction of Draenor, the incredibly powerful Lich King created a new generation of death knights: Scourge warriors who knew the magic of the runes, bringing evil and death to all living things. The first and greatest of them was Prince Arthas Menethil. Formerly a mighty paladin of the Order of the Silver Hand, he sacrificed his soul for the enchanted sword Frostmourne, with which he tried in vain to save his people.
Unlike the Knights of Gul'dan, most of the new Death Knights are paladins who have lost their faith and given their souls to the Lich King in exchange for immortality. Those who are destined to fall in battle will soon be resurrected to serve the Lich King again.
Since Arthas broke the Frozen Throne many years ago and merged with the Lich King, the strength of the death knights has increased many times over. Now these crusaders of death await only the command of their master before unleashing their dark fury on Azeroth once again.
This is the beautiful picture and history of the appearance of the Death Knights that greets us in the section dedicated to the new class of the Wrath of the Lich King add-on on the official Word Of Warcraft website.
Well, everything is clear with the description of the class and history, they appeared, fought, were awarded, switched to the other side, and received awards there too. In the cities they are greeted with applause, men shed a stingy manly tear, and the girls themselves ask to be held in their arms and cry with emotion. In general, a good class, all the characters and the story are interesting.
True, not all cities will greet you like this, in Orgrimmar, for example, they will throw tomatoes and rotten eggs at you, but after the leader of the orcs says a couple of affectionate things, everyone will immediately respect and appreciate you, and then there will be a couple of orcs female (do not confuse with male! They are similar!), and the wine and grapes will arrive in time.
We're done with beautiful stories, let's move on to practice.
- Is the Death Knight suitable for solo play (leveling up)? Yes it is suitable, pumping is very fast and easy
- How are things going with group play (raids)? Also great, the Death Knight is in demand in any raid, especially if a person knows how to play this class.
- Well, what about PvP? There are quite a lot of death knights in arenas; in pvp they are a strong middle class.
-It turns out that the Death Knight is a universal class? Yes, that is right.
From my own experience, I played as a Knight from the moment the class appeared until July of this year, and I didn’t experience any problems either in leveling up or playing solo, or in raids.
Now some general information about the Death Knight
To create a death knight, you must already have a character at least level 55 in at least one of the game worlds. Those. you must level up any class to level 55 and only then will the Death Knight creation menu appear. It is understood that playing the Death Knight should be an experienced player who has already mastered the initial content of the game, and of course the company wants this content to be in demand.
A Death Knight can belong to any race; there are no restrictions on the choice of race. Be it a human, or an orc, or a hobgoblin (there is no such race in WWII :) don’t look for it :)), whoever you want, the choice is rich)
Death Knights are immediately created at level 55, by level 58, after completing a chain of quests, you will receive a set of blue armor, 100% ground mount, open points for flying in all locations up to level 60. You will also be given bags (12 cells) and a pumped-up first aid skill . It’s very tempting, you see, to get a level 55 character, dressed, with a mount and learned first aid skills.
Basic characteristics (depending on race)
Armor: fabric, leather, chain mail, armor. Usually ONLY armor is worn.
Weapon: axes, swords, two-handed axes, two-handed swords, one-handed and two-handed striking weapons.
Of course, every newcomer is interested in the question, what roles can a Death Knight perform? That is, who he can be after reaching level 80.
I may be a little disappointed, but despite the heroic past and universal love, the Death Knight has only two roles, as befits any self-respecting armored soldier (I may or may not dig (c) folk wisdom)
The death knight has two roles:
  • "Tank": Clad in armor, a death knight can become an indispensable “tank” in both small and raid groups. The damage he takes will depend on the size of the group.
  • « Damage Dealing(DD)» : The death knight can also specialize in melee damage. To do this, he has at his disposal both weapons and negative effects that he imposes on the enemy.
There is nothing unusual, as you can see.
You choose your role yourself, depending on what you like best. You like to hit everyone on all limbs - you specialize in dealing damage, you like to cause universal hatred of monsters and bosses and laugh in their faces, in response to their blows - you are a tank.
The Death Knight has 3 talent trees, like all classes in WoW, briefly about each branch and its specialization
Blood
: These talents improve weapons, armor, and strikes. This branch is more suitable for single-target damage; the branch contains talents that allow the Knight to heal himself during battle. The best branch for leveling up the class.
Ice: These talents develop control, counterattacks, and combos. This branch is also the official branch for duals (one one-handed weapon in each hand)
Unholy: nbsp; these talents develop spells, summons and diseases. This branch is more suitable for AOE (area damage) damage.
Also, the Death Knight has auras(the closest analogue is the stances of Warriors), each aura has its own unique effect. You can only apply these auras to yourself (you cannot apply them to friends, girlfriends, or party members).
There are three such auras in total:
  • Power of blood Increases damage dealt and replenishes health based on damage dealt. Most often used when dealing damage.
  • Power of Ice increases threat and reduces damage taken accordingly. Most often used for tanking.
  • Power of wickedness increases the attack speed and reduces the cooldown of the death knight's skills. Very rarely used.
All Death Knight skills are tied to runes and runic power, i.e. their use depends on the presence of runes and runic power:
  • Runes: Every Death Knight skill requires runes, which come in three varieties: Presence of Blood, Presence of Frost, and Presence of Unholy. Depending on the skill, one rune or a combination of several may be required. Each rune has a cooldown period, after which it can be used again. There are also skills that allow you to turn a rune, such as ice, into a death rune. The death rune can be used as a universal one - i.e. instead of any rune. For example, you had 2 blood runes, and two ice runes, one ice rune is turned into a death rune - you have 3 blood runes, or 2 ice runes, or 3 unholy runes. Essentially, such a rune is like a joker that goes instead of any card.
  • Runic Power. By using skills that require runes, the death knight also accumulates runic power resources. It is necessary to use some skills; their effectiveness depends on the total amount of runic power consumed. Like a warrior's rage, after a while the untapped power wears off.
As a result, your gameplay and the use of skills depend on the enabled aura, the presence and recharging of runes, and the accumulated runic power.
It would seem, what else does a Death Knight need? A formidable warrior in armor who can inflict enormous damage, who can use auras and runes, everything seems to be there. No such luck, Blizzard has prepared a surprise - the Death Knight can still summon an assistant. Moreover, he can sometimes summon an entire army of assistants or resurrect a friendly target for a while.
* Resurrection of the Dead. A death knight can create a ghoul from the corpse of a defeated enemy - monster or other character. If a knight creates a ghoul from a friendly character, then the player who owns the character can control it.
* Undead Army. With this spell, a death knight can bring back to life a group of undead that will attack his enemies. True, this detachment will exist for a very short time and then will return to oblivion again.
And finally, the death knight can call a portal that returns him to the hometown of the Death Knights
and knows how to enchant his weapons with runes that add effects to the damage dealt, for example like this
By the end of the starting quest chain, the Death Knight will receive an absolutely FREE ground mount (horse) with 100% movement speed.
So, we’ve finished describing the main features of the class, but there are a lot of these features, and gifts for the class are pouring in like from a cornucopia, Blizzard did not skimp in this regard.
The system of runes, runic power and auras may seem complicated to you - don’t be in a hurry to get upset, in practice it looks much simpler and easier than in theory.
Everything written above is quite enough to start playing with the Death Knight class.
IN: When they leave the starting area, can they get back?
ABOUT: They can always return to Acherus: Black Hold. They will receive a teleport there with a 1 minute delay. This is where Death Knights learn their abilities. But it doesn't matter, since you won't need anything from there anymore once you complete your initial questline.
IN: What are death runes?
ABOUT: The Death Rune is a "joker" rune that can be used as any type of rune. The death knight has talents and abilities that allow him to convert regular runes into death runes.
IN: What is rotation? How to understand all these IT, PS, DS and OB?
1. Talent tree
Suitable for low gear players. Pre-Raid Build (Icecrown Citadel).
The second build is for people with at least two T10 items. Grim Resolve - 2/5 because we embrace the Harvest.
The latest build is intended for players with BiS gear or close to it. We are investing in the Ice branch.
2. Symbols
Basic symbols:
  • Ghoul symbol
  • Glyph of Icy Touch
  • Symbol of the Black Death
Minor characters:
  • Pestilence symbol
3. Gems
Gems are situational and depend on your build and equipment. They are used to achieve the required performance caps.
Meta:
5. Gameplay and rotations
Priorities of Ankholi DK:
Hit → Strength → Armor. → Haste → Crit → Expertise → Attack Power → Agility
Priorities of Unholy DK with the Frost branch:
Hit → Strength → Haste → Armor. → Crit → Expertise → Attack Power → Agility
Standard Rotation:
Rotation with Harvest:
Army of the Dead - used a few seconds before the start of the battle or when changing phases. Using it while your combo is running will result in DPS loss and combo break. The summon copies your Hit, Attack Power and Haste at the moment of summoning - remember this.
Summon Gargoyle - Also used when you have buffs and procs because it copies stats. You cannot immediately summon him when the fight starts, he will require 60 Runic Energy. You can start the fight with Unholy Presence, quickly gain Rune Power, then summon Gargoyle, and only then return to Bloody Presence. This is done because our gargoyle remembers Haste from Unholy Presence, but not damage from Blood Presence.
Don't forget about your pet. It deals a lot of damage.
6. Addons
Addons improve your gaming experience. It is necessary to use addons as they play a vital role in your game, be it a raid, arena or auction.
7. Video
The promised continuation of the Transmogrification guide. If last time we talked about how to get them and where to get them, today we’ll talk about weapons and shields. The post contains descriptions of only those items that can actually be obtained. Deleted items are not considered. In addition, a number of items have analogues. You can see them on WoWHead in the “similar model” tab. There you can rotate objects in 3D.
For convenience, the items are divided into categories, but I did not make a division into caster/non-caster, because Blizzard did not mention such a restriction.
The material is divided into three parts in order to reduce the load on the server. Links to the next pages are at the end of the post.
One-handed axes
- a beautiful ax that falls from Alara.
- Drops from Lord Nagentus.
– drops from Nefarian. A very beautiful ax, it’s a pity that you can only carry it in one hand.
- sought by archaeologists at vrykul excavations.
– drops for winning the Battle of Ships in the Central Command Center. An analogue also drops from the Lich King.
– falls from Supremus.
Two-handed axes
– a big-eyed ax falling from Ktun. Classic, nothing special, but what charm!
- quest reward. A beautiful axe.
– reward for the quest chain Code of Curse. It looks just cool - green glow, simple shape. An axe, not a lollipop.
- Drops from Raven King Ikiss.
– drops from the Hunter of Eternity. Ax of original shape.
– an ax worthy of bearing the name of an entire addon. Quest reward.
- drops from Prince Shaffar. A beautiful ax with four blades.
– falls if you pass the northern wing without killing the officers. Now this is done very simply without any problems.
– drops from Theron Gorefiend.
- nothing special, but it's Hellscream Thunder's axe. And it’s probably funny for members of the Alliance to kill Garrosh with his father’s weapon. Drops from Malchezar in Karazhan.
- drops from Ragnaros.
– a beautiful ax that falls from the Deathclaw Wyrmguard.
– reward for the quest Gorgrom Dragoneater.
– a unique razor ax from the Battle Leader of the Black Mountain clan. By the way, have you seen many axes with speed 4.0 in the game?
One-handed swords
– an awesome blade with a fiery blade. One minus - it drops with a very small chance from any mob in the world. Monitor the auction, farming is impossible. An analogue with a blue blade - drops from Mennu the Traitor in the Prison.
– drops from the Slashing Scourge in the LCT.
– Drops from Lord of Fates Kazzak.
– drops from Saurfang in the Central Control Room.
– crafted by blacksmiths. Beautiful and no frills.
- Drops from Morogrim Wavestrider. One of the most beautiful one-handed swords in the game.
– created by blacksmiths. Katana.
- drops from Onyxia.
– falls in the Challenge of the Champion.
– drops from trash in Naxxramas.
– drops from Malygos. A very beautiful ice blade.
– falls from Raja.
Only the most experienced heroes of Azeroth can face the invasion of the Burning Legion, armed with legendary artifacts. The power of this magnificent weapon grows along with yours. You yourself determine its properties, appearance, sounds and behavior in battle. Transform your artifact into the perfect weapon of war and lead your faction in these trying times!
The strength of a death knight lies in his weapons. Having become one of the greatest representatives of this class, you have earned the right to possess a weapon that is endowed not only with power, but also with its own name.
Knights of Darkness
Death Knights can choose one of three specializations: Blood, Frost, or Unholy. The uniqueness of each of them is reflected in the choice of artifact weapons.
  • Death Knights with the Blood specialization rely on the ax in combat Cursed Devourer possessing unheard of power. Its blade is capable of cutting not only the flesh of enemies, but also their souls. The owner of such an ax gains power over death itself.
  • Frost Death Knights must possess an unyielding will, capable of overpowering even the will of Frostmourne debris. Inside the deadly blades that bear names Herald of Cold And Frost Reaper, there is enormous power, but they crave more and more new power.
  • Death Knights with the Unholy specialization are particularly brutal in combat. Intimidating Blade Apocalypse brings with it death and the pernicious spirit of the most terrible diseases. This sword leaves behind only sorrow and shattered hopes.
Each artifact is the embodiment of the power of the death knight who owns it. There is power in names - remember them, because this legendary weapon will become your faithful assistant in the battle against an enemy more dangerous than you have ever met.
Blood - Cursed Devourer
This ancient Legion ax was forged from a metal capable of draining life energy. Inside is the cursed soul of the ax's creator, overcome by an insatiable hunger. For more than a thousand years, the insidious mo'arg, with the help of this weapon, suppressed any attempts at rebellion and absorbed the life force of the Legion's enemies. Over time, the ax endowed its owner with incredible power.
Ice - Herald of Frost and Frostreaper (Blades of the Fallen Prince)
The Runeblade Frostmourne was forged by the Burning Legion to bring chaos to Azeroth, and was shattered by the Ashbringer at Icecrown Citadel. At that moment, countless souls were freed, but many of them were still imprisoned. Frostmourne Debris can be reforged and given new properties, making them even more powerful. To do this, you need to subjugate the will of the souls that are still in icy captivity.
Unholy - Apocalypse
Forged by the vampire demons the Nathrezim, this ancient sword brings suffering, doom and pestilence. This sword fell into extreme disrepute after it fell into the hands of the mage guard of Tirisfal, who was never able to take control of its destructive power. Later, these weapons went to the Dark Riders - the gloomy minions of Medivh, the infamous guardian of Tirisfal. They hid the sword in the catacombs under its tower - Karazhan.
