All drives in this series are designated JFxx0, where xx are numbers that indicate a specific model. I will not write about the characteristics of all models of the JetFlash series, since there is no strong need for this.

This article is purely informational to familiarize users with the capabilities of this utility for self-recovery (repair) of Transcent JetFlash (JF) series flash drives. There is no need to perceive all the information provided as a cure for all “illnesses”, because there are many individual cases where this utility may not help.

Stages of restoring a Transcent JetFlash series flash drive:

1. You can download the program (in my case, I chose the main version of the software) using the link on the official website - http://ua.transcend-info.com/Support/Software-3/;

2. Connect the “problem” flash drive to the USB connector of the PC. I recommend connecting to the rear USB panel, as problems may arise in the front panel.

3. Launch the program OnLine Recovery_v1.0.0.36.exe under Administrator (for Windows Vista and older). In the screenshot I showed how to do this - this is very important, since if you run the program as a regular user, various errors may occur.

4. Select the flash drive recovery mode (with data safety and without data saving) - see the screenshot below.

Since the data on the flash drive was important to me, I chose the option “ Repair drive & keep existing data". After selecting the option we need, we need to press the “Start” button. The process of formatting the flash drive to its original size – 16GB (see screenshots) has started.
