Enable unconditional forwarding. Forwarding to another number - instructions for all operators

In today's article I will try to answer one of the most exciting questions: how to set call forwarding on a mobile phone. Users ask this question on forums and in thematic groups in VKontakte, but not everyone finds an answer. What's the problem here?

Trying to set up call forwarding, phone owners go to the menu and study the settings. But not in all mobile devices the “Forwarding” menu item immediately catches their eye. Sometimes you even have to look at the instructions, but they don’t always help.

I admit that I couldn’t find on my phone how to set up call forwarding. Apparently, I didn’t search well... Or there is no such item there at all.

Everyone’s phone number is different, the menu is also completely different, so it’s impossible to give uniform advice on setting up call forwarding. But there is another way, which I will tell you about now. This method will allow you to set call forwarding on any phone. And you won’t need to go into the settings and pull out dusty instructions.

Before I show you my cards, I’ll make a small digression. Why do we actually need redirection?

Let's say you use a SIM card from a local mobile operator and are going to go to a neighboring region for a couple of days. And it turns out that your SIM card will not work in the neighboring region. But you are expecting important calls, and you wouldn’t want to be out of reach for several days. What should I do? You take another SIM card with you, and with the old one you set forwarding to the new one. Now all calls received on your “home” SIM card will go straight to you.

Or another example. You have, but with one radio module. When you talk using one SIM card, the second one is not available at that time. If someone calls the second SIM card, they will hear sad “The subscriber’s device is turned off...” Wouldn't you like that? The redirection that you install from the second SIM card to the first will help. Now, in a similar situation, the person calling you will hear short beeps and understand that you need to call a little later.

Well, it's time to get down to business and tell you how to set call forwarding on any phone.

The mistake of many is the idea that call forwarding is only installed on the phone. Wait! They are calling you! This means that forwarding is the ability of a SIM card to redirect a call to another number. You can set this property for it using your phone settings, or you can... contact your mobile operator!

In this case, the task is much simpler. Let's look at how this works, using the Megafon company as an example.

Having gone to the official Megafon website and finding the “Call Forwarding” section, we read the following: Using the call forwarding service, you will always be in touch, even if your phone is busy, does not answer, is turned off or is out of network coverage.

  1. To all calls (unconditional forwarding).
  2. In case of no response from the subscriber.
  3. When the subscriber's number is busy.
  4. If the number is unavailable (phone is switched off or ).

Forwarding of the first type (unconditional) allows you to redirect a call coming to your number to another SIM card.

All other types can be used by you separately and help you not to miss a call when you don’t pick up the phone, are talking on the phone at that moment, or when your phone is turned off. It works simply: you will receive an SMS notifying you of a missed call.

Megafon provides forwarding service for FREE. The same type of service can be found from other mobile operators. The connection is made by dialing a special combination of numbers. Disabling is the same. Everything is simple and clear. The most important thing is that you don’t need to fiddle with your phone’s settings! A great saver of time and nerves!)

Have you ever heard of call forwarding on your phone? You've probably heard it, although you don't know what it is. In fact, everything is quite simple - this is a special service that is provided, among other things, by cellular operators.

Call forwarding (voice call forwarding) is the ability to redirect an incoming call from one number to another. Let's look at a simple example. You place an ad in the newspaper, attach a phone number and wait for a call. Some event occurs that causes your phone to be taken away for several days. Since the ad has already been published in the newspaper, you cannot change the number, but you can set up call forwarding on the phone that is being taken from you. Set up forwarding and all incoming calls from that number will be sent to another number - which you specify. Everyone is happy and satisfied.

Please note that you can forward calls not only to another mobile number, but also to a landline number.

Types of call forwarding

There are 4 main types of call forwarding.

  • Unconditional forwarding. In this case, all incoming calls are redirected to another number.
  • Busy forwarding. Calls will be forwarded to another number only when the subscriber's number is busy.

  • Forwarding if there is no response. In this case, call forwarding is possible if the subscriber does not answer the call. The waiting time on the line can be set by the subscriber himself.
  • Forwarding when the network cannot establish a connection with the number of the called subscriber. This forwarding method is used if the subscriber is outside the network coverage area or his phone is turned off.

How much does it cost?

Depends on the specific tariff and telecom operator. There are tariffs where forwarding is free, and there are tariffs where you have to pay for it in any case. On some tariffs, money is charged for forwarding only if the subscriber has exceeded the free call limit.

The call forwarding feature provides the user with the option to receive an incoming call on another device if the called number is busy or blocked. Therefore, call forwarding will allow you to track and not miss all calls, even if the main phone is not near you. You can also use this feature to hide one of your numbers for privacy purposes.

If you are interested in how to forward a call on phones with the Android system, then the following simple instructions will help.

Screenshots taken from a Lenovo smartphone:

First, you need to select the “Calls” section in the settings. In the proposed list, find the “Dialing settings” tab, and through it go to “Voice call”. In the last menu that opens, select “Call forwarding”.

If you don't find the same settings on your smartphone, don't despair. They exist, they are just located in a different place. Here's another example where these settings might be:

Go to Phonebook - Settings - Call forwarding.

Mobile operators provide four options for using the call forwarding service:

  • Incoming call - transfer the call to another number in all cases when an incoming call is received on the smartphone;
  • Subscriber is busy—forwarding only if the number of the called subscriber is busy;
  • The subscriber does not answer - in situations where the subscriber does not answer the call within the specified time;
  • No network - call forwarding if the phone is turned off or is in an area without network.

Before forwarding a call, you need to select and enter the appropriate number.

The last step in installing this feature is to click on the “Enable” button, after which call forwarding will begin to work according to the conditions you set.

Tele2 call forwarding is a function that, unfortunately, not all users know about. By connecting it, you can redirect calls from one number to another. This add-on is convenient for users who have multiple SIM cards.

From this article you can learn how to enable call forwarding from the Tele2 mobile operator.

Types of forwarding

To begin with, it is worth noting that Tele2 has several types of this service available.

  • Unconditional. Suitable if there is no access to the main number or there is no way to use it. In this case, all incoming calls will be forwarded to another phone, for example to MTS or megaphone.
  • When busy. In this option, forwarding will occur only if the phone to which the incoming call is received is currently busy.
  • For lack of response. If you are afraid that you will not hear the call, or it is not always convenient for you to carry two phones with you, choose this option. The call will be redirected to another phone when no one answers the main number.
  • Due to unavailability. This option is relevant if you are in a region where Tele2 does not always receive reception, but there is, for example, Beeline or MTS, but you are afraid of missing an important call. If the main number is unavailable, the call will go to another phone.

pros

In what cases can the forwarding service be useful?

  • 2 SIM cards, one of which does not always catch.
  • One of the numbers is working, and you don’t want to advertise your home phone number, but at the same time you are afraid of missing an important call at work.
  • When you are abroad and use a foreign SIM card.
  • If it is not possible to always have both phones at hand, but you don't want to miss calls on any of them.

In fact, there are a great many situations in which this service will be useful to you. But its main advantage is that it is as easy to connect as it is to subsequently disconnect.

To MTS, Beeline, Megafon numbers

Most likely, you are wondering whether it is possible to send calls from Tele2 to numbers of other mobile operators. Don't worry Tele2 call forwarding is carried out to absolutely any phone. This includes not only the numbers of local mobile operators, but also foreign ones.

Clash of the Titans: Tele2 or Beeline?

Tele 2Beeline

Thus, while abroad, you can redirect calls to a foreign number so as not to miss them. But at the same time You need to connect to a tariff with favorable conditions for roaming on your home phone to avoid unnecessary expenses.

How to connect

You can connect in two ways:

  • through the phone menu;
  • via quick commands.

To add a service using the first method, you need to go to the call settings on your phone and find the forwarding settings there. Next, you need to choose which option to enable and enter the number to which calls will be sent.

For faster configuration, you can use quick access queries. Use the following commands:

  • forwarding all calls: **21*ХХХ# ;
  • by employment: **67*ХХХ#;
  • due to unavailability **62*ХХХ# ;
  • due to lack of response **61*ХХХ*# .

Don't forget to replace XXX with the number to which the call will be forwarded.

Conditions

Before connecting to any service, you should familiarize yourself with its main features. Below are some additional facts that you should know about Tele2’s “Forwarding” service.

  • Activating the service is absolutely free. Formally, it has already been added to all Tele2 subscribers; all that remains is to activate it.
  • Billing for forwarded calls is carried out in accordance with the tariff plan of the main number, and not where the call was transferred.
  • If you have set up an SMS notification about missed calls, then an SMS indicating the number and exact time of the call will be sent to both numbers.

How to disable

When you decide not to use the service, you can just as easily disable it. You can use the same shortcut commands for this.

There are still corners of our country where the signal of some mobile networks leaves much to be desired. If for some reason you will be outside the coverage area of one of the operators, it is better to forward calls or SMS to a landline or other mobile phone in advance. Users of smartphones running Android OS may encounter difficulties. Let's figure out how to enable call forwarding in different ways.

In what cases can redirection be used?

The built-in ability to transfer calls to another mobile number is particularly popular. You can resort to it in the following cases:

  • you forgot your phone at home, but don’t want to miss important calls (in this case, you will only have one way to set up call forwarding - through the cellular operator’s website);
  • you went to a place where your operator’s network does not work, but others have reliable reception;
  • you've decided to change your phone number, but don't want to lose important contacts.

This service can be used on a permanent or temporary basis. To enable or disable this feature if necessary, you need to know how to forward calls.

Using Android Phone System Settings

The Android operating system has several versions, so it is best to provide a general algorithm suitable for the most common options. If you have Android version 4 and lower, then the names of the commands may be different, but the general principle will remain the same.

To configure, you will only need standard applications that are found on every smartphone. Call forwarding to another number is performed according to the following instructions:

  1. Launch the Phone application from which you make calls. Its icon is always made in the form of a telephone handset in different colors.
  2. In the top right corner, find the Settings button. It consists of three points located vertically or a gear.
  3. Click on it, in the drop-down menu find the “Settings” footnote.
  4. In the next list, find the line “Accounts for calls”.
  5. If you have several SIM cards, then you need to click on the desired one.
  6. Then you need to select “Forwarding” from the list.
  7. You will see four options for transferring calls to another phone number:
    • constant call forwarding (all calls will be transferred);
    • if the number is busy;
    • if there is no answer (the transfer is activated at the moment when voicemail should be connected);
    • if the number is unavailable.
  8. Select the option you want and then enter the number to which calls will be forwarded. After this, all you have to do is click the “Enable” button.
  9. After you complete the setup, the smartphone will transfer the data to the mobile operator. That, in turn, will update your parameters and you will be able to use the opportunity to receive calls to the desired number.

We recommend testing the forwarding feature after setting it up. This will allow you to verify that the changed settings are applied correctly. The most common mistake made by users is the incorrect format of the number to which the forwarding will be carried out. It must be entered in federal format, that is, if you have chosen a landline telephone, indicate it along with the locality code.

Some smartphones do not have the “Call Accounts” menu bar. In this case, you will need to go to additional settings and find the “Call Forwarding” item there. In it you can find different options, the one you need is called “Voice Call”. The remaining setup principles are no different from those described above. You will also need to select the situation in which you want to use forwarding and then enter the number to receive calls.

What to do if your smartphone does not provide call forwarding?

If you could not figure out the settings of your smartphone, then you can use the help of special applications. Popular options are: Call Blocker, Simple Call Forwarding. Let's look at how to use applications using the latter as an example.

  1. Find the utility in and click the “Install” button.
  2. After installation is complete, open the application by clicking on its icon.
  3. Next, the setup takes place in literally two clicks: enter the number that will receive calls; set the time in seconds (after this period the transfer will take place).
  4. Now click on the “Save” button and activate the widget on your desktop. This widget will also allow you to quickly disable redirects when you don't need them.

The good thing about this application is that instead of manually entering a forwarding number, you can select it from your contact list. The application does not work only if forwarding is not supported by your mobile operator. Users of small regional companies or operators that have recently appeared on the market may encounter this situation, but in most cases there are no problems.

Different applications offer similar functions. The Play Market is regularly updated with new redirection utilities. When choosing an application, look at its rating and reviews, which are located under the main information. But it is best to find applications that have already been tested by time, as they work more stable. For example, Simple Call Forwarding is already used by thousands of Android owners. This application has already fixed critical errors, and it also works with all versions of operating systems, including outdated ones.

Setting up forwarding at the cellular operator level using USSD requests

If you do not find the “Forwarding” item in the menu of your smartphone and do not want to use applications, then you need to contact your mobile operator, they will help you set up the use of this service. The easiest way to do redirection is through the official website of the operator. In most cases, a link to this service is located on the main page of your personal account. You can also set up call transfer to another phone number through the mobile application that every mobile operator has. At Tele2, call forwarding is configured only through USSD requests or contacting the operator directly. Perhaps over time this option will be available through your personal account.

For people who do not like to use the Internet, it is possible to set up forwarding via USSD requests or using a call. We will dwell on the first option in detail, since it is more convenient. The main operators in Russia (Megafon, Tele2, MTS, Beeline) agreed among themselves and, for the convenience of subscribers, began to use the same commands to set up forwarding.

  • **21*phone number for forwarding# – enables forwarding of all calls if you are temporarily unable to answer calls yourself;
  • *# 21# – check the status of full redirection;
  • ##21# – cancel full redirection;
  • **61*phone number** time in seconds# – forwards calls if there is no answer, when choosing the time in seconds you must set one of the values: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30;
  • *#61# – check the service status;
  • ##61# – cancel the use of forwarding;
  • **62*phone number# – enables call forwarding if you are unavailable;
  • *#62# – check the status of this type of forwarding;
  • ##62# – termination of use of this service;
  • **67*phone number# – turns on call forwarding in case you are talking to another person at the time of the call;
  • *#67# – check the connection status of this service;
  • ##67# – cancel configured forwarding;
  • ##002# – disable all types of forwarding.

After entering the selected command, you need to press “Ok” or the “Call” key. The service is available only if the phone number to which calls are received has a positive balance. This is due to the fact that its use entails small expenses.

How much does it cost to transfer calls to another number?

Most mobile operators do not charge a subscription fee for using forwarding. Previously, this service was used only by businessmen, so there was a daily fee for it, but now it is free on almost all tariff plans. The only exception is call forwarding to MTS, for which you will have to pay about 30 rubles per month.

However, be prepared for unexpected expenses. Despite the absence of a subscription fee, operators charge an average of 3.5 rubles for forwarding to landline phones. If you have a modern tariff plan with a package of minutes included, they may be used up, since forwarding is often counted towards an outgoing call.

How can I find out the forwarding conditions on your tariff plan?

You can familiarize yourself with the rules for providing call transfer in several ways:

  • look at the official website of the operator;
  • contact the customer service department;
  • find an information desk in a shopping center or operator’s point of sale and take a printout of the tariff plan data;
  • call the hotline operator.

The easiest way to find the information you need is on the operator’s official website. To do this, you need to enter the word redirection in the search bar (usually located at the top of the window) and find a footnote on the conditions for its provision.

In the subscriber department of the operator's salon, consultants can help you; they will tell you not only about the conditions for the provision of the service, but also give recommendations on connection. Recently, the level of training of consultants in salons has decreased, so often their words have to be double-checked on the website or on the hotline. This is due to the increase in the number of sales of phones and other paraphernalia in such retail outlets, and consulting subscribers has faded into the background. But here you can find a counter with complete information on your tariff.

Each operator has its own free short number, by calling which you can solve all problems and get answers to questions. Here are the coordinates of the hotlines of the largest operators in the Russian Federation:

  • Yota – 8800 –550 –00 –07 ;
  • Beeline - 0611 for calls from a mobile phone, 8800-700-0611 for calls from any phone;
  • MTS – 0890 for calls from a mobile phone, 8800-250-8250 to contact an operator from any number;
  • Megafon – 0500 short number for SMS messages and calls from mobile, 8800-550-0500 for calls from any numbers, +79261110500 for calls from abroad;
  • Tele2 – 611 number to support customers calling from a mobile phone, 8800-555-0611 to connect from any phone, +74959797611 for calls from abroad.

All these numbers work absolutely free when calling within Russia. You can connect to an operator 24 hours a day, any day of the week. Sometimes you have to wait 10-15 minutes for an answer.

Is it possible to set up SMS forwarding?

Operators have included in their list of services not only call forwarding, but also transferring SMS messages to another number. Unlike standard forwarding, this service will be paid. If you feel the need for it, you should contact your communications provider. We will provide information from major operators regarding SMS forwarding.

MTS

This telecom operator has a service SMS Pro, which will allow you to set up forwarding to several numbers at once. You can connect it in different ways:

  1. Using USSD request: *111*2320# and call key.
  2. By sending a message to the short number 232. If you want to enable the service, enter the command PER or ON in the message.
  3. You can also activate message forwarding through your personal account on the official website or mobile application from MTS. Here you can not only activate the service, but also set up forwarding numbers, enable automatic response or archiving of information.

There is a fee for using the service. Tariffs change regularly, so it’s best to check with your operator in advance.

Beeline and Megafon

We will write about these operators together, since at the moment they do not provide a message forwarding service, but everything can change at any time. Before you get upset, call the operator; perhaps the option you need has already appeared in the list of services.

Tele 2

This operator allows you to transfer messages to the number of any Russian telecom operator. You can activate this service only using the USSD request *286*1*phone number in international format for transferring messages#. You need to confirm the command with the call key or the “Ok” button (depending on your version of Android OS). There is no fee for the service, you only pay the cost of sending messages (if you have a package tariff, then the number of messages is deducted from it).

Can I forward messages to my email?

If you want to receive messages not to another mobile phone, but to your email, then you need to use special applications. One of the best is SMS 2Gmail. This application allows you to duplicate all received messages to your email. You just need to enter the desired address and enter the keyword received via SMS into the program field. You will receive not only all messages, but also notifications of incoming calls to your email.

Now you know all the ways in which calls and SMS can be forwarded on phones with Android OS. Share the information you receive with your friends, ask your questions in the comments.
