Sometimes it becomes necessary to hide your number from the called party. For example, this is necessary when calling a large number of people. If you don’t hide your number, people you haven’t reached will call you back and distract you from work.

In this article we will tell you how you can hide your number on iPhone. The information will be relevant for all iPhone models, including iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6s, 7, 8 and X.

In order to hide a phone number on an iPhone, you need to enable the corresponding function in the settings. To do this, open your iPhone settings and go to the “Phone” section.

• There are two such services at once, they are called “Anti-AON” and “Anti-AON on request”. The first hides your phone number on a permanent basis, and the second only for making one call. Moreover, if “Anti-Caller ID” is enabled, you can still show your number to the called subscriber; to do this, you need to dial his number in the format: *31#+7xxxxxxxxxx. You can connect “Anti-Caller ID” from MTS through your personal account or by calling *111*46#. Payment is daily – 3.95 rubles/day.
• The number hiding service is called “AntiAON” and costs 5 rubles/day. There is also one-time number hiding; for this, the number of the called subscriber must be entered in the format #31#number. In this case, hiding the number will cost 7 rubles for each call. In the same way, you can show your number with the AntiAON service constantly running.
• The number hiding service is called “Caller Identifier” and costs 3.77 rubles/day or 88 rubles per month. You can activate this service using the command *110*071#. In order to open your number for the duration of one call, you need to dial the phone number in the format: *31#number.

It should be mentioned that some mobile operators also have reverse services that allow you to determine a phone number even if the caller has the Anti-AON service enabled. For example, the Ukrainian mobile operator has such a service. It is called “Super Caller ID” and costs 1.81 UAH/day.

For one reason or another, the owner of a smartphone may need to hide his number when calling another subscriber. This feature can be easily used if you know how to do it.

How to hide your phone number on iPhone

There are several ways to hide a number in different versions of iOS, as well as with the help of a cellular operator.

Using Settings in iOS

Although iPhones have different firmware versions, the hidden number settings will not be different. Let's look at the settings of a phone running iOS 7:

How to disable the phone number hiding feature

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to block hidden callers using the blacklist, but you can use the “Do Not Disturb” function:

1. Go to the phone settings.

Need to call someone "secretive"? We indicate the desired group and dial the number. The main thing is not to forget to clean up your call history later (to do this, just swipe your finger from right to left along the line with the phone number and select “Delete”).

Then in the directory we change the group to one that contains public contacts and all - “secret” numbers are hidden.

Of course, it is worth recognizing that this method is not very simple and requires a certain skill and memory - at one “wonderful” moment you can simply forget to switch between groups and all hidden telephone records will be in full view.
