Map of 4g base stations. Megafon base station addresses. Cellular base stations map

In this article we will cover the topic of what Beeline coverage area is, as well as how to find out about its status in a particular region and solve connection problems.

Beeline coverage map and its features

Having studied the map of the location of the operator’s communication towers, you can see that the entire country is covered by them. But communication is not always present where there are well-equipped mobile operator stations. Why so, you ask.

Many users who do not know about the features of mobile communications attribute problems with it to the service operator. But this is far from true.

Network quality depends on many factors:

  1. Insufficient signal emission power from the base tower or the direction of the antennas is incorrect.
  2. Uneven distribution of base stations due to the peculiarities of the geographical location and architectural development of the settlement, resulting in incomplete coverage of the territory.
  3. The quality of communication also depends on the density of the area., the layout of the building in which the subscriber is located, or even the thickness of its walls.
  4. Weather conditions play an important role– so, rain greatly affects the throughput of communication channels.

Mainly about connection quality and coverage areas the subscriber wants to know in the following cases:

  • Buying real estate (most often outside the city).
  • When going on a trip, picnic or vacation.
  • Going on a business trip.

Below you can see the coverage map:

By the way, on the map, large cities are generally shown with the best signal, but remote settlements, so to speak, the outback, cannot boast of this.

But here a surprise may await you - although the tower may not be indicated on the map, the operator’s connection in this area can be quite tolerable.

For what reason does this happen? Most often, a reflected signal is involved in this, although small inaccuracies in drawing up the coverage map cannot be ruled out.

Where can I get 3g and 4g signals from Beeline?

Having carefully studied the Beeline coverage map, you will notice that the Internet of these categories is not available everywhere. The best signals of 3g technology can be received in the central part of the country, but in the eastern and northern regions the situation is worse.

Regarding the Internet using 4g technology, the coverage here is much more modest. Base stations with this signal are located pointwise, which means that not all users of the operator receive the signal.

4g Internet can be used by residents of the Moscow and St. Petersburg megacities, as well as their regions. Residents of certain central regions of Russia also have this advantage.

In other regions of the Russian Federation, 4g signals appear only in the largest cities - administrative centers of the regions where Beeline LTE base stations are located. This service is provided in 11 regions of the country, increasing its volume to cover more and more new territories every year.

Signal reception problems and how to solve this problem

As mentioned above, the absence of a signal or its poor quality occurs everywhere. And the operator is not always the reason for this. Now we would like to tell you what you can do if you have a bad operator signal on your phone.

Of course, complaining about a small number of base stations or their insufficient power will not speed up the process of installing new ones or upgrading old ones.

But by sending a request to the operator indicating your location and the characteristics of the signal you are receiving, you can be sure that the operator will definitely consider this request and check the settings of its stations in this region, which may simply need additional correction. That is why feedback from its users is very important for Beeline.

In addition, the problem may lie in the gadget itself, which simply does not receive a signal due to the fact that it does not support this type of communication. To avoid this, when purchasing equipment, be sure to ask the seller about the functions of receiving communication signals.

To solve connection problems in remote areas of the region where the signal does not penetrate well, such as in the country, you can install special cellular amplifiers.

It is also worth paying attention to the time of registration on the network. The fact is that during peak hours, when the network experiences a large influx of users, the signal scatters and there simply may not be enough for everyone, or its quality begins to “limp.”

It will be useful to view:

Grand total

In order to be connected, users need to have an idea of the quality of communication in the area where they are located. To do this, the Beeline operator has posted a very accessible map of its network coverage on its website. If the subscriber is not satisfied with the signal quality, the company is always ready to listen and help solve the problem. In addition, today the solution to many connection problems is not limited to adjusting antennas at base stations, but you can find out exactly what solutions to problems exist in this article.

Having decided to buy a SIM card from any mobile operator, we don’t even ask ourselves whether it will work in a particular region. We do not ask these kinds of questions because we are confident that the coverage area is everywhere. Beeline is also not immune to this.

The operator's cell towers are located in all regions of our large country. All of them are capable of transmitting a 4G signal. This type of network is new and much faster than its predecessors. But the company does not limit itself to this and is constantly expanding. This is done so that all subscribers of the cellular operator can always stay in touch.

Features of 4G from Beeline

To attract as many customers as possible, the operator began to actively upgrade its cell towers to 4G networks. This company was one of the last to begin updating its network to this type of communication. However, this gave huge advantages in terms of stable data transfer at maximum speeds of up to 100 Mb/s. Thanks to the installed Beeline LTE base stations, which allow operation at a frequency of only 900 MHz, it has taken the lead among competing companies.

The company is currently working on a new 5G connection that will allow data transfer speeds of up to 200-300 MB per second. The launch of this connection is planned for 2020. By this time, even the most remote corners of the Russian Federation will be equipped with base stations. If we compare the signal reception of the Beeline operator and any other operator indoors, it turns out that the company has a huge advantage in the frequency of signal reception and transmission, without any delays or interference.

Beeline operator network coverage area

The first city where the company launched a 4G network as an experiment was Moscow. Testing began in the central part of the city, gradually expanding beyond this zone and spreading throughout the entire territory. The fourth generation of the network can currently be enjoyed in more than eighteen regions of Russia. Which gives the company the right to take first place among cellular operators.

If we look at the example of cities such as Elista and Maykop, it becomes clear that this type of network covers 80% of the territory of these cities, previously it was only 10-15%. The use of the 4G LTE network provided by Beeline operates even in the Yuzhno-Sakhalin region, which is the most remote region of the Russian Federation.

The company measured the highest data transfer speeds in most of Russia, during which it was found that the highest speed at the moment is 70Mb/s.

These measurements are a direct basis for the development and achievement of great results in data transmission.

A map of Beeline's coverage area is publicly available on the official website. To study it in detail and understand whether this type of connection exists in your region, just go to the “coverage and offices” section, where, by selecting one or another network option, you can see the signal coverage area.

If, when studying the coverage area, you notice an LTE network, do not be upset, this is the same 4G connection, only in a more advanced and lightweight format. Beeline has an active 4G+ option that allows you to use data transfer at speeds of up to 150 Mb/s. Which is undoubtedly another undeniable advantage of other operators. However, like most Beeline cannot be called ideal.

What to do if the connection has shortcomings or is completely absent?

It happens that there is no coverage area in a certain place in a populated area. This is not the company’s fault, but a large part depends on the geolocation of the cell tower, which can be caused by difficulties in receiving a cellular signal or its complete absence.

What are the reasons for this?

This happens due to the strength of the reflected signal. Such a signal is capable of appearing in places that simply should not exist. For example, on a mountainside or in a separate part of a forest. Such phenomena are explained by radio wave activity and the characteristics of its propagation.

Now let's talk a little about the disadvantages. All innovations or improvements have their downsides, and 4G LTE communication also has it. Such a network consumes a very large amount of energy. At the moment, there are not enough cell phones capable of operating in this type of network, as evidenced by the availability of only voice data transmission. Beeline continues to be one of the leading operators, despite the problems with communication in small settlements in several regions.

How to influence the solution of problems with cellular communications?

It is unlikely that we will be able to exert any influence on the cellular operator to install additional stations or towers. But it is quite possible to influence the ability to correct communication problems by adjusting antennas or new equipment measurements. To do this, if there is no connection in some sparsely populated areas of the Russian Federation, although it should be there, you should make a written request to adjust and correct this situation.

In contact with

When buying a SIM card from a particular telecom operator, we rarely think about looking at the reception card. We are used to the fact that the phone picks up a signal almost everywhere. The same applies to the Beeline operator - its base stations are located everywhere. This is evidenced by the map that outlines the Beeline coverage area on the operator’s official website. Nevertheless, the connection is not everywhere and not always - we will tell you why this is so.

Features of the Beeline coverage map

In almost any locality we can find places where there is no coverage area of our favorite telecom operator - in our case it is Beeline. A poorly located building, poor apartment layout and rooms with thick reinforced concrete walls can cause a lack of communication. The peculiarities of the propagation of radio waves in various conditions should not be overlooked. The result of all this is areas with a lack of communication. But the Beeline coverage map is unable to tell us about this.

The operator admits that in a given area there may be areas where the signal from base stations will not be received, or will be received with difficulty.

Information about Beeline's coverage area may be required in cases where we do not know whether a signal will be received at a particular point. Situations may be as follows:

  • The subscriber is going on a business trip, and in order for him to talk on his mobile phone, a Beeline signal must be picked up at a given point;
  • A man is going on a hike, and he wants to know whether there will be communication far from the city;
  • We are about to buy a summer house - we need to check whether there will be mobile phone reception there.

There are thousands of such situations. And on the map of the Beeline coverage area you can find settlements in which there are no base stations. This means that there will be no connection to the network here, and you won’t be able to call anywhere. Beeline's coverage area in the Moscow region is quite wide - there is no doubt that there will be communication almost everywhere. We can say that the coverage here is almost continuous.

Let's try to move deeper into the Moscow region, looking at the map - we will find areas where Beeline reception is absent. It’s one thing when there is no reception somewhere in a wooded area, and it’s a completely different matter when there is no reception in any populated area (villages, small towns, hamlets).

The most interesting thing is when you arrive at your destination and are surprised to discover that the phone is still registered on the network. This may be due to both inaccuracies on the computer map of Beeline’s coverage area and some features of radio wave propagation.

As practice shows, the network can be accessible even in places where there is no coverage area on the map - for example, in remote forest areas or in mountainous areas where a reflected signal can be caught.

By the way, sometimes this is not even enough to make a call - the reception symbols are displayed on the screen, but it is simply impossible to make a call or access the Internet.

Most often, you encounter strange coverage zones in mountainous areas - here there are areas with an unusually strong signal, populated areas with a complete lack of Beeline coverage, as well as “spots” where the network seems to be caught, but does not show a stable connection.

You can view maps of Beeline's coverage area on the operator's official website. To do this, go to the “Offices and Coverage” section, select the required technology (2G, 3G or 4G), and then wait until the areas where there is a stable connection are displayed. Please note that this map may not reflect the actual reception situation as it is computer generated and may not take into account radio wave propagation.

Internet coverage area from Beeline

This point is already more interesting, as it allows you to find out whether the Internet will work in a particular point in the Moscow region and Russia. As with voice services, The Internet, even in the already widespread 3G format, will not be available everywhere. As far as was noted, Beeline has a stable coverage area only in populated areas. As soon as you drive past a road sign with the name of a city/town/village crossed out, problems begin.

If you want to see the 3G coverage area from Beeline, go to the official website and go to the “Offices and Coverage” section. Move the slider to the 3G position and wait until the map is shaded with areas with theoretical signal reception in the specified format. You may notice that it is slightly smaller than the 2G zone - and this is quite understandable, since second-generation networks appeared before third-generation networks.

The 4G coverage map from Beeline is drawn in the same section. To do this, you need to move the slider for displaying networks of a particular generation. You may notice that Beeline 4G coverage area is significantly narrower compared to other networks. For example, in Solnechnogorsk, Dmitrov or Kolomna there is a network, but in Tver for example it is missing. But it is present in distant Rybinsk.

The reason for the selectivity of Beeline’s coverage area in the 4G standard is not entirely clear, and you won’t be able to get an answer to this question from the support service (they themselves don’t know anything).

Beeline's LTE coverage area completely matches 4G coverage(this is, in fact, the same thing, because LTE is the fourth generation 4G network) - there is not even a corresponding switch on the card. But here you can display 4G+ coverage, this is high-speed Internet with a maximum speed of up to 300 Mbit/sec. In the Moscow region, it operates only within the central part of Moscow. 4G+ does not work in small settlements.

Fixing problems with coverage area

It is unlikely that you will be able to force the operator to install new base stations in some village where several hundred people live. But if you live in a large populated area, and you notice that at some point there is no normal connection to Beeline, You can write an application to adjust the coverage area– sometimes this helps (the operator will reconfigure the antennas or take measurements with his equipment).

Cell phone towers are installed in open areas so that base stations can be mounted on them. Base stations are a set of devices responsible for receiving, transmitting and processing a cellular signal.

Despite the fact that the spread of mobile methods of communication in Russia is proceeding intensively, many cities and villages find themselves without this type of communication.

Cell phone towers

Cell phone towers are used away from urban areas. In megacities, base stations are placed on the roofs of houses. Their range of action reaches 3-5 kilometers. And around roads, near rural settlements, special towers are installed. As a rule, these are white and red pillars, towers, on top of which a base station is mounted. When there are no forests or reinforced concrete structures in the signal path, towers can be placed at a distance of 10-15 km from each other.

As the mast rental market grows, the landscape is changing rapidly.

MTS cell towers

The MTS company ranks second in the number of base stations among large cellular operators in Russia. In 2016, about 137 thousand units were installed. This company was the first to lease out its towers to competitors and other enterprises, offering rather preferential terms in the form of no penalties for early termination of the contract and no hidden or additional payments.

Beeline cell towers

The Beeline company in 2016 had about 96 thousand installed base stations. The dynamics of their increase is relatively modest: 4.5 thousand new stations appear per year. Although it was the installation of new towers that allowed the company to offer 4G Internet in many regions of Russia.

Megafon cell towers

As of 2016, Megafon had the most base stations installed: about 164 thousand. This company increases their number by 14-15 thousand per year.

Cellular tower Tele2

The Tele 2 operator is growing dynamically. In 2016, it had about 96 thousand base stations, which is comparable in coverage to Beeline. This company installs or leases 12 thousand new towers and stations per year. There is reason to believe that at this rate of development, this operator will soon take a stronger position in the top four.

How to install cell towers, and what is the price?

Cellular towers are used where there are no other options for placing base stations. Even around villages you can find tall structures on which it will be cheaper to mount antennas than to install a tower. These could be pipes, elevators and other high-type buildings.

The requirements for installing a tower are quite complicated:

  • the height of the original tower should be from 72 to 100 meters;
  • It is advisable to choose the highest place in the area; any hill or hill will do;
  • access to electricity is required. If it is not there, you need to install a separate transformer;
  • The tower should be installed near populated areas or roads with high traffic capacity.

The intensity of construction of towers is high; for example, in the Moscow region, several dozen of them are installed during the warm season.

The cost of building one cell tower is about 5 million rubles. Recently, it has become common to rent land for such structures not only from legal entities, but also from individuals. True, the rates for private landowners are purely symbolic - several hundred rubles per year.

What is the cost to rent a cell tower?

The big four cell phone operators own only 70% of the towers. Even companies such as MTS, Beeline, Tele 2 and Megafon rent part of the capacity from enterprises that specialize in the construction of towers. These include players such as:

  • “Russian Tower” (1.7 thousand towers);
  • "Vertical" (1.6 thousand towers).

Renting a cell tower is relatively inexpensive. For different companies, the price can range from 15 to 30 thousand rubles per month.

Cell Tower Manufacturers and Suppliers

Most tasks related to the construction of cell towers can be solved by Russian companies and suppliers.

There are several companies that have proven themselves in this area:

  • Metal-System LLC: the company produces towers, masts, and pipe stands for mounting base stations on the roofs of buildings.
  • Altaystroydiagnostika LLC helps to build a tower based on a mast or tower in compliance with all technical and legal requirements. The company's experts know how to properly install supports and ensure uninterrupted operation of the equipment.
  • The metal structures plant "Spetsstroykomplekt" can produce a tower according to standard drawings or taking into account the wishes of the customer. Here you can order additional options for the tower: lightning rod, platform for technical personnel.
  • The MKTEK company is considered one of the cheapest manufacturers of cell towers. The towers installed by this company have a sectional structure. Depending on the required height of the mast or tower, you can choose a different number of sections. This saves money for those customers who plan to install a tower on a hill and who do not need the maximum height of the structure.

The total number of enterprises in Russia that produce and supply equipment for the installation of cell towers is several dozen companies. The market is so developed that consumers have the opportunity to choose a company that will suit them in terms of the time frame for manufacturing and installation of the tower, the cost of the work, and the features of the technical equipment of the tower.

Tower maintenance

Maintaining towers is not cheap. Equipment must be changed at an uncertain frequency. Some towers work longer in an unchanged condition, others quickly fail. It depends on the type of equipment and the average cell load.

Sometimes tower owners replace the equipment with more modern ones. 4G networks are gradually spreading throughout Russia. Behind this simple phrase there is a huge amount of work involved in upgrading equipment.

Simple maintenance of towers without modernization costs approximately 5% of the cost per year, that is, 250 thousand rubles.

"DMB"

Hello. You won’t find the “correct” map of base stations of cellular operators on the Internet during the day. It would seem sad, but if you put in a little effort, you can independently find the location and coordinates of the BS on the ground. Let's do this together with NskTarelka.ru.

We won’t fight with “Netmonitor” and others like it (from the evil one), we’d better use the “correct” option.

Finding cell phone base station locations with Google Earth Pro

One of the main “ingredients” that we will use to create a BS map of cellular operators is Google’s “virtual globe”. Google Earth is known as Planet Earth.

The first step on the path to success - follow the link and install it on your computer - Google Earth Pro for Windows, Mac or Linux

We admire our beautiful and vast planet for a few seconds, then, in the upper left corner, in the search bar, enter the search query that interests us. In my case, as an example, this is the Novosibirsk region, Moshkovsky district, village of Kuznetsovka. The program is smart, insensitive to the case of letters, so in order not to worry, I type the text without capital letters - blacksmith mosh... And as you can see, the program itself gave the address I was looking for in the search bar. I select it and click on search.

Using the mouse wheel, I enlarge the picture and find the object that interests me. Let it be a local store where you urgently need to install the Internet.

In the toolbar, I click on “Add a label” and give it a name. I press “Ok”.

I chose the default icon for the label, you can choose any one you like. And also add any information important to you to the “Description” tab. It will pop up on the map when you click on the icon.

Finding the location of base stations or a register of SES conclusions can help us

Our main search tool for base stations of cellular operators, their location and coordinates is a database of the register of sanitary and epidemiological conclusions on project documentation. We begin the search, open the registry database - fp.crc.ru

Before you start searching for a BS, open the “Help” tab; perhaps the information contained therein will be useful to you.

Where to start your search? Let's type the word “cellular” in the first line of “Project Documentation” and click on the “Search” checkbox.

The result obtained at the time of writing:
- 223813 documents were found;
- pages (total 8953).

Narrowing the search. In the line “Conclusion number” at the very beginning, enter the code of our region. For me (Novosibirsk region) the number is 54. We update the search information:
- 8625 documents were found;
- pages (total 345).

Since I am interested in a map of base stations of cellular operators around the village of Kuznetsovka, Moshkovsky district, Novosibirsk region, I narrow the search even more using additional search phrases. Which?
You can add the name of the area to the first search line “Project documentation” to the word “cellular”, in my case “Moshkovsky”.
We get the following result:
- 125 documents were found;
- pages (5 in total).

Thanks to the received list, you can already start searching for the location of the BS. But, in this case, do I need the whole area? In the situation under consideration, presented as an example, no. Therefore, let's do it differently. We erase the name of the area in the search bar. And instead of it, first we’ll type the name of our locality - Are there any BS in it? In my case no.
Well, well, we are looking for the nearest BS in adjacent settlements. You can return to Planet Earth and see which settlements are closest to us. You can use Double Gis for the same purpose.

One of the nearby settlements is the village of Raduga. I type it into the first search line of the registry database.
I get the following:
- 7 documents found.

First document

I'm starting to study the first document on the list. The information that interests me is the title of the “Project Documentation”.

Great, I click on “show full text of the application.” In the document that opens, I see the geographic coordinates of the base station of the cellular operator MTS. It also happens.

I enter them into the Google Planet search bar, delete the letters, leaving only numerical values, and click on “Search”. And... magic, the first BS was found.

I put my own mark on it, sign it as “MTS BS”, and delete the mark with the coordinates set by the program.
I add the title of the project documentation to the “Description”. After this, when you click on the label, a pop-up window with information will appear.

And so, by analogy, we look for all the nearest BS that we can find. In fact, not everything is as simple as it turned out in the example described above. Geographic coordinates began to be added to reports at the end of 2017. Usually there are no coordinates in the documentation.

At the beginning of the list of documents returned by the search are the most recent conclusions. So don’t forget to look at the first line “Conclusion number and date”. It is possible that the SES conclusion is present in the database, but the work has not yet been completed.

Let’s finish with the Raduga village and consider the remaining 6 documents.

Second document

Project documentation - Project: “Expansion of the mobile radiotelephone communication network of the IMT/2000 UMTS and GSM-900/1800 standard of MegaFon OJSC in the Novosibirsk region.” Cellular communication base station No. 54.0504, Novosibirsk region, Moshkovsky district, Raduga village, AMS FSUE "RTRS".

We see that this is the base station of the cellular operator Megafon No. 54. 0504. There is no information about the location.

Third document

Project documentation - Project: “Modernization of the cellular radiotelephone communication network of OJSC VimpelCom in the Novosibirsk region. Base station of the digital cellular communication system of the Novosibirsk branch of OJSC VimpelCom No. 44478, Novosibirsk region, Moshkovsky district, Raduga village, branch "SRC" AMS FSUE "RTRS".

Base station of the mobile operator VimpelCom No. 44478 (read as Beeline). Location information is again missing.

Fourth document

Project documentation - Project: “Expansion of the mobile radiotelephone communication network of the IMT/2000 UMTS and GSM-900/1800 standard of MegaFon OJSC in the territory of NSO.” Cellular communication base station No. 54.0504, Novosibirsk region, Moshkovsky district, Raduga village, ORTPTS tower.

As you can see, we are again talking about the Megafon BS No. 54.0504 that we have already come across above

Fifth document

Conclusion about the MTS BS that has already come to our attention in the documentation above.

Sixth document

Again BS Megafon No. 54.0504

Seventh document

Again, the familiar Megafon base station is described as JSC Mobicom-Novosibirsk.

Let's summarize. In the village of Raduga there are base stations of three operators - MTS, Megafon and Beeline, and seven SES conclusions. Why 7? Look carefully in the conclusions at the line “Conclusion number and date”, and everything will become clear.

The location of the MTS base station was found specifically using the specified geographic coordinates. Where are Megafon and Beeline located? I don't know. Perhaps on the same mast, maybe on neighboring structures. Let's mark them as "BS?"

I carefully explored the entire Raduga village with the help of “Planet Earth” and found more interesting shadows on the ground in three places. But nothing is clear. What is this? Megafon or Beeline base stations? Or some kind of pipes?

Let's zoom in and try to use one wonderful tool called "Street View", perhaps it is also available in the village of Rainbow. Let's put the little man on the map and take a walk around the village of Raduga.

This is done as follows. We move the mouse cursor over the little man, hold down the left key, and drag the “scout” onto the road. If blue stripes appear on the roads on the map, the Street View tool is available in that locality. But only on roads marked with a blue stripe. You can only walk along them.

The task was completed, all three objects were investigated. Conclusions have been drawn.

The first shadow closest to the man was this pipe. I could be wrong, but as for me, it is not used by cellular operators.

One of the shadows turned out to be a water tower, the other, apparently, was an operator base station - either Megafon or Beeline.

One by one, slowly, I monitored all the nearby settlements adjacent to the village of Kuznetsovka. I found operator base stations in other localities. All actions are exactly the same as those described above. What should we do next? Analyze information, build elevation profiles. I will write about this in another article.

Additional information about useful software for searching the coordinates of base stations of cellular operators

Sometimes, the documentation (SES conclusions) contains the address where the operator’s BS is located. But when you enter these details into Google Earth Pro, sometimes the location is not displayed accurately. I recommend using Double GIS in parallel if your region is included in it.

When searching for BS on the ground using Google Earth Pro maps, sometimes you come across areas with a fuzzy image. In such cases, I use Yandex maps. Often, Yandex has much better pictures.
