How to subscribe on a MAC computer

When you first subscribe to Apple Music, set the trial subscription mode, but if you received a completed Apple Music, you just need to click on the “Login” function, where then select the student subscription mode on iTunes. Then follow the menu that appears on the computer screen and answer the questions, in particular, activate the “Confirm student status” command and enter your email address, and highlight your college in the list of suggested ones. Please note that the email you enter once will be assigned to that college or university, so UNiDAYS will continue to monitor your Apple Music subscription.
If you have an already registered account, you need to select the “Already confirmed status in UNiDAYS” window, for this you also need to go to your email and link it to your account. If you study abroad, you must select the “Study outside this country: Russia” section; you can also change the country if necessary. The next step is to log in to your university portal and subscribe via WI-FI by writing the address of your college or again entering the address line of your mailbox. Once you've signed in to Apple Music and your status has been verified, you need to complete your iTunes subscription.

Unlike the student subscription to Apple Music, the Apple Music Family Subscription model is an excellent alternative, for a reasonable price. When switching from a student model to a family model, you will need to pay for the selected switch. If you, having a family subscription, decide to choose the student model, then be prepared for the fact that, unfortunately, the family model will become unavailable for your family members. Instead, they can be offered a way to establish an individual form.
Apple provides various discounts for students. One popular option is a student subscription to the Apple Music streaming service. This function cannot be called new; it has been available since 2016, but Russia was not immediately added to the list of supported countries.
We tell you how to get a discounted subscription for the entire duration of your studies (up to 4 years) on Apple Music. The period of use of such a subscription does not have to be continuous, the main thing is that you remain a student for the duration of the subscription.

Getting a student subscription to Apple Music
To receive a student subscription to Apple Music, your student status is verified by UNiDAYS. The UNiDAYS verification service will check that you are indeed enrolled in a university or college and pass this data on to Apple.
Your student status will be reviewed periodically. If UNiDAYS detects that you are no longer a student or your 48 months of student subscription have expired, you will automatically be transferred to the usual conditions - for 169 rubles per month, to an individual subscription.
Step one - make sure you are using the latest version of iOS or macOS. Install (or simply launch) iTunes and begin the subscription process. If you're signing up from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod, simply launch the Music app and tap the "For You" button or the "Welcome to Apple Music" button. If you've used your free period before, no problem, go to the Login button and then select Change Subscription Type.
Then select the "College Student" or "University Student" option, depending on where you study. Feel free to click on the “Confirm student status” button. Safari will open - don't worry, everything is going according to plan. On the website that appears, you must enter your university email.
This is one of the most difficult stages where students often give up trying to register. But in vain! If you already have a UNiDAYS account, click "Already verified UNiDAYS status?" and sign in using the same email address you use for UNiDAYS.
Simply put, first contact UNiDAYS and get confirmation from them that your mailing address is a school one. To do this, you will need to provide them with a scanned copy or photo of your student ID. Apple Music and UNiDAYS most readily accept email addresses that end in .edu, but if your university has a different domain, this is not a problem.
How to contact UNiDAYS?
- 1. Go to Settings, then iTunes Store and App Store.
- 2. Click on your account name, click on "View Apple ID".
- 3. In the "Subscriptions" tab, select Apple Music.
