Meta- Ukrainian search engine. According to experts, it provides some benefits. Indexes Ukrainian sites. Follow the link web.meta.ua/?action=add, first register, and then add the site.

Today I want to look at how to simply and quickly add a site to Yandex for faster indexing and more.

First you need to register your mailbox on Yandex. If you already have an email, then simply follow the link - “Add a site to Yandex.”

So, in the window that opens, we see a couple of links after the word “WEB MASTER”. These are the links - “My sites" and "Add site".

If you are not logged into your email inbox, then when you click on the first link you will be taken to a menu for entering your login and password from Yandex mail: And using the second link you can add a website without registering in Yandex mail. In general, without registering a mailbox on Yandex, you can perform the following steps:

1) Report a new site- this is what we need;

2) Check URL— this Yandex service is needed in order to find out which pages of the site are already in Yandex search;

3) Check Robots.txt— a very good service for compiling and checking the robots.txt file, which will be discussed later in another article;

4) Check server response— this service is needed to display how the web server responds to the Yandex robot;

5) Compare searches in different regions— a service for comparing search results in different regions;

6) Check spelling— a service that checks spelling at the specified website/page address;

7) Report spam or viruses— the service allows users to report spam or the spread of viruses from any site;

8) Remove URL— a service that allows you to speed up the removal of a page from Yandex search if it does not exist or if you want to quickly remove it from the search results;

9) Micro markup validator— this service is designed to check the correctness of microformats and microdata that are posted on your website. You can find out more about microcommands.

3) A confirmation window for site ownership opens. There are several ways to confirm ownership of a site - either by posting an HTML file, or using a meta tag, or uploading a TXT file to the root directory of the site, or confirmation via DNS. The easiest thing for me is to place a text file in the root directory of the site. To do this, you need to create a text file, the name of which was indicated by Yandex, and upload (upload) it to the server via FTP:

How to add a site to Yandex?

Log in to your Yandex account and go to the Yandex.Webmaster service. You can simply follow the Add site link. Fill in the Site Address field and click the Add button:

After this, you need to confirm the rights to the site. This can be done in three ways: using an html file, a meta tag, or via dns.

Verification method via DNS. To do this, you need to add a TXT record type to the site's DNS records containing the specified unique value.

The method is quite complicated and requires additional knowledge.

The remaining two methods are quite simple and even a novice user can cope with them. The essence of these methods is to place a key on your site. The logic is this - if you can do this, then you have rights to the site.

To confirm rights via html, you need to create an html file with a unique name and content (or download the proposed one by clicking on the “download link”), and then add it to the root folder of the site.

Confirmation of rights using a meta tag on the main page: you need to add a special meta tag to the code of the main page of the site. It's simple. Copy it and place it in a block .

If you did everything correctly, the service will inform you that your rights have been confirmed.

After confirming your rights, the site will be queued for indexing, and if there are no restrictions or errors, your resource will appear in search results (usually this happens within 1-2 weeks). However, in order for the site not only to appear in the search results, but to get into visible positions (top 10), more extensive comprehensive work needs to be done with it.

In the previous version of the account, it was possible to speed up site indexing using the “Report a new site” tool. Now it is called “Page Re-Crawling” and performs a slightly different function: it allows you to add pages that need to be indexed first and in an accelerated manner. The tool is available via the link after adding the resource to the webmaster’s account and confirming rights.

Here you can add pages of new product cards or new articles, or old pages with updated content that you would like to re-index.

The only limitation is that you can add no more than 10 pages per day.

How to add a site to Google

At Google, Search Console will come to our aid. Google Search Console is a free service that allows you to find out how your resource is presented in Google search. In essence, this is an analogue of the Yandex.Webmaster account.
