Today, most people have smartphones, and they allow you to store contacts not in the phone, not on a memory card, or especially not on a SIM card, as everyone once did, but in cloud storage, the most popular of which is now Google. Well, those who have smartphones also have mobile Internet connected in 99.9% of cases, albeit using the most economical tariff plan.

Forget about the need to somehow transfer all contacts from one device to another. All contacts will be saved in the Google Contacts service, in your account and constantly synchronized!
For example, you use 2 devices where you are connected to one Google account, which stores all your contacts. On each of these devices, you will always have the same, up-to-date contact list. If you add a new contact to Google on one device, then within a few minutes this contact will appear on your second device.
That is, when you save a contact in your Google account, it is saved “in the cloud”, and all your devices constantly check whether the contacts are current on this device or not, comparing them with the contacts located in Google. If the information on the device is out of date (for example, new contacts have been added to Google and (or) some have been deleted), it will be updated immediately. If something happens to the device itself, the SIM card, or the memory card, it will not affect your contacts in any way, because they are stored in your Google account. I don’t recommend storing contacts on a SIM card; it’s easy to lose them there!
How to save contacts from your device to Google

Depending on the system installed on the device and its version, the location of menus, buttons, and other things may differ. I will show the general principle (using the Android 6 OS as an example).
First of all, you need to add a Google account on your device, in which your contacts will then be stored, if you have not already done so.
This is usually done through the “Settings” section. In the settings there is a subsection “Accounts” or “Accounts” (or it may be called similarly), in which it will be possible to add a new account.
When adding an account, select “Google” and then specify the login and password for the Google account you want to connect, i.e. where contacts will be stored.
If you don’t have an account with Google, you can create one directly in the same window for entering your login and password (there will always be a corresponding button or link there).
The next step is saving contacts in Google. To do this, when adding the desired contact, you just need to specify your previously connected Google account as the storage location, after which you just fill in the necessary contact details (first name, last name, address, etc.) and save.
By selecting Google once when saving any of your contacts, you will no longer have to select it; the system will automatically offer to save contacts in Google.
If you need to add all your contacts on some new device, then you will only need to connect to the same Google account (as described) in which all your contacts are stored and they will become available in this within a few minutes device.
View, update and add contacts from your computer
