Traditionally, “Guess the Tune” is played by three people. If there are more people willing, then you can take a fourth or even a fifth. It is not worth inviting more participants, since then it will be more difficult for the audience to watch the action, and for the presenter to count points. This function can be assigned to another person who can easily add and subtract numbers.
First you need to prepare everything you need. It is difficult to find 3 stands at home, so their function will be performed by chairs with backs. Attach horns or other noise toys, such as a tambourine, to them with tape.
It's fun to watch how participants will rush to press the sound toy to pronounce the guessed melody.
A game
The musical “Guess the Melody” consists of four rounds. The first one is a warm-up. After summing up the results of this stage, no one is eliminated. After the second round, the person with the fewest points leaves.
Take whatman paper or a slate board and write 4 sections on them, one under the other. They must touch. Depending on the age and interests of those gathered, the names may be different.
For middle-aged participants, ask something from foreign pop music, domestic songs of the 80s and 90s. Older people will be interested in immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the 50s and 60s. Let them guess the popular waltzes, good and simple songs of those years.
Children will love recognizing the songs. These can be both Soviet and modern foreign animated films.
Let each melody last no more than 30 seconds. During this time, participants will have time to guess it. If not, then the presenter himself says what kind of song it was.
Since not everyone can invite a whole orchestra home to play melodies, karaoke melodies will help out. Record them on your computer in advance and play them while playing “Guess the Tune.”
In each of the four sections, draw 4 notes. Each one will correspond to a specific melody.
The second round is similar to the first. There may be the following sections: “Snowfall”, “Summer motives”, “Guess Gaidai” (songs from his films), “Hits of A. Pugacheva”. After this round, points are also calculated.
Only 2 participants with the most points are allowed to the third round. More time is given here. While the melody is playing, the stopwatch hand moves, which increases the number of points for the answer. They are awarded to the person who correctly guessed the title of the song.
The last fourth stage is bidding. One of the participants, having heard the task, says that he will guess the melody and pronounce the number of notes from seven to three. The one who names the least number of notes wins the auction.
