I'll show you how to set up a new tablet or smartphone on Android. If you bought it completely new or reset all settings. I will show the setup using the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite tablet as an example.

After turning on for the first time, select the interface language and click Next.

Now select your Wi-Fi network to configure, synchronize and create a Google account and other needs.

Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network to log in and click “connect”.

If a notification appears “The network does not support date and time data. “Set the values manually in the date and time parameters”, this just means that you will need to set the date and time manually later (sometimes you can simply do this automatically using the network). Click Yes.

You will see the date and time settings. Set the date and time by specifying the current time and year and press the “home” button (this is the button located in the center of your tablet or smartphone to return to the settings.

So, having connected to your Wi-Fi network, click “next”.

Now you can set the date and time, enter your time zone if you haven’t already, then click “next.”

If you have a smartphone or tablet from Samsung, now accept the user agreement by checking the box “I understand the above conditions and agree to them.” Then check “Yes” or “No” to indicate that you agree that whenever your device software update fails, you will provide Samsung with the data contained in the error log.

Now you can create a Samsung account, which allows you to use their cloud storage, store and other additional features. But if you don't want to do this, just click "skip".

I clicked “Yes”, since I already have it and now I need to enter my Google account email and password.

By signing in, you agree to the Google Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, Chrome's Terms of Use and Privacy Notice, and the Google Play Terms of Use. If you do not want to receive news from Google Play, then uncheck the box “I want to receive newsletters from Google Play.”
Click OK.

If you have two-step authentication connected to your Google account, which I wrote about earlier in the article, then you will see a “Login failed” notification. To access your account, you must sign in on the web. Touch Next to start browser sign-in. Which means: “To log into your account, you must log in via the web. Tap Next to begin logging in using your browser.

You will receive an SMS with a code to your number, enter it to confirm login to your Google account.

Login begins. We are waiting for its completion.

Now you are asked to enter payment information into your Google account in order to buy paid applications in the Play Market, for example. You can buy through a credit/debit card or through a Megafon or Beeline account (if you have a SIM card from these operators); you cannot pay for purchases in the Play Market through MTS.
Click continue. Or you can skip setting up your payment information and click “Not Now” in the bottom left.

If you have chosen a Megafon or Beeline account, the account will be checked. Sending an SMS message to confirm your account through your mobile operator.

But due to the fact that I received an SMS on this tablet, I could not look at it, since at the time of the first setup it is still impossible to go to the home screen and open the SMS application. Therefore, you can link your mobile number to Google Play Market later, when you need to buy something there.

Backup and recovery.

Use your Google Account to back up apps, settings (such as bookmarks and Wi-Fi hotspot passwords), and other data. If you already have a backup of your account, you can restore it to your tablet.
You can change backup settings in the “settings” menu.
If you want to transfer your data from your Google account to this device and back up your data on this tablet to my Google account, then leave the checkboxes and click on the “right arrow” icon (bottom right).

Recovery. The Tablet PC contacts Google to restore your account. This may take a few minutes.

Google geolocation. Determine location using Wi-Fi and mobile networks.
You can uncheck the box that says “Allow anonymous location data to be sent and stored on your device, and allow apps to locate it using Google's location service.”

Allow Google to use my location data. You can also uncheck the “Allow PS data and Google location services to be used even when Google apps are not active.”
These options can be changed later in Settings.
Click on the “right arrow” icon (bottom right).

Next, you are asked to create or use and connect a Dropbox account (cloud storage) to your device. On a Samsung device, you get a free Dropbox account with 50GB of storage for two years.
Dropbox automatically stores your photos and videos online and on the computers you link it to.
