First, you need to launch the Internet Explorer browser itself by clicking on the icon located on the desktop, or the icon located in the “Start->All Programs->Internet Explorer” menu:

Removing Java from your computer

To completely remove Java from your Windows computer, press the Win + R key combination to open the Run dialog. Next, enter the command appwiz.cpl and click on the OK button.

The Programs and Features window will appear on the screen. Find Java in the list of installed programs and click on the “Uninstall” button.

Disabling Java

To disable Java, open Control Panel, go to Programs, and open the Java applet.

The Java Control Panel will open. In the Security tab, you can activate the highest level of security or disable Java completely - to do this, uncheck the Enable Java content in the browser option and click the Apply/OK button.

Disabling the Java plugin in IE

To disable the Java plugin in Internet Explorer, you can use the Add-on Manager. Through it you need to disable Java(tm) Plug-in 2 SSV Helper and Sun Microsystems Deployment Toolkit. Disabling the Java plugin in Firefox

To disable Java in the Mozilla Firefox browser, select the “Tools” section in the browser menu, and then click on “Add-ons”.

Now simply disable all Java references you find in the Plugins section.

Disabling the Java plugin in Chrome

To disable Java in Google Chrome, enter chrome://plugins in the address bar and press Enter.

In the list of plugins, find the Java plugin and click Disable.

Sites in your list will display pop-ups as usual. To enable pop-up blocking, click on the “Tools” button and select “Internet Options”. Next, the “Privacy” tab, the “Pop-up blocking” section, where check the “Enable pop-up blocking” checkbox and agree to the changes with the OK button.

Please note that this feature will not block pop-ups from websites within your local intranet or your trusted sites. To block absolutely all pop-ups, move the security level slider up. In addition to the default “Medium” mode, there are three higher levels of protection.

Protected Mode

Another browser security option is Protected Mode. This feature will help prevent malware from running in your browser. To enable protected mode, again click the “Tools” icon, “Internet Options” item. On the Security tab, select the Enable Protected Mode checkbox and click OK.

Protected mode is configured separately for all zones: Internet, Local intranet, trusted sites, and dangerous sites.

Disabling an ActiveX component

A major security enhancement for Internet Explorer is to disable ActiveX, Active Scripting, and Java. But, in this case, verified sites that also use these functions will not be able to load properly. Add them to your trusted list. To set Internet Explorer to the highest security level, move the slider all the way up and agree to the changes with the OK button.

How to enable the ActiveX component for trusted sites
