Session Manager is a useful extension for Firefox

This is exactly the name this wonderful plugin bears, and what it does is save and restore the state of all windows after exiting and while logging into the browser. Those who are familiar with opera know what we are talking about, the rest should just install this plugin and try it. Also Session Manager allows you to recover accidentally closed windows and tabs.

Installation:

  • Click on the button “ Add to FireFox“ (Add to FireFox)
  • Install“
  • Restart FireFox
  • Installation completed.

Settings:

Launch the browser.
Choose: Tools - Session Manager - Session manager settings.

The bare minimum of settings is to set everything as in the screenshot below:

Otherwise, you can leave the settings as they are or set them to your liking.
Done, now when you exit the browser, the plugin remembers all your sessions and automatically restores them when you start the browser again.
You can also create and save specific sessions, i.e. open tabs with a specific set of sites, save this session and then call it at your own discretion or automatically when you start the browser. To do this, open the sites you need in the tabs, then select Session Manager - Save session. To load a saved session, select Session Manager - Download session.
By the way, after restoration, the sessions remain in the form they were at the time of saving, even if the site has been updated, and therefore I recommend setting the item " Refresh all restored windows", which lives in the plugin settings on the tab Save\Restore.

Installation:

  • To install the addon, go to its page, namely here.
  • Click on the button “ Add to FireFox“ (Add to FireFox)
  • In the pop-up window, wait three seconds and click the “ button Install“

2. Under the warning text, click “I accept...”.

3. In the search, enter - closeWindowWithLastTab.

4. Double-click with the left mouse button on the found option so that its value changes from “true” to “false”.

5. Restart FF.

Now you can safely close the tabs; the Firefox window will not close in any case.

Session manager to help

The Session Manager addon provides the ability to quickly save tabs for one or several sessions and open them when necessary. It can be downloaded from the official Firefox add-ons portal.
