Tp link personal account. Setting up TP-LINK series TL-WR841N

Hot page for entering the settings of TP-Link routers using abbreviated addresses. Transition addresses (you can click on them and try to go to your personal account):

tplinklogin.net

tplinkwifi.net

The addresses are used to log into the TP-Link router control panel settings system. Both options are available. It is an addition to the usual addresses 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1. You can find out the exact connection address on the bottom side of your router, where other default authorization data is located (address, login, password):

tplinklogin.net – devices

Most modern TP-Link devices support this address. Even those that do not have it indicated on the sticker (the 1043rd itself, where the address is digital, but this one also fits without any problems). Some attempt since 2011 to create a single address for logging into any TP-Link devices in case the main IP address changes. Known models that support this cabinet:

TL-WR720NC2
TL-WR741NDC7
TL-WR840NS20
TL-WR841NC30
TL-WR940NC50
C70

But most likely your device also supports this address.

Attention! The Internet domain tplinklogin.net no longer belongs to TP-Link. Rumor has it that they forgot to renew it and it was intercepted by third parties. The company did not buy it back, but replaced it with new devices on tplinkwifi.net (see below). It is not recommended to use this particular address, although all devices successfully support it when connected. As an alternative, use IP addresses.

tplinkwifi.net – devices

tplinkwifi.net is a newer address. The devices above support it, and as a rule, it is now written on the same stickers. But he appeared recently. This is how older devices can see the address tplinklogin.net, but don't connect to tplinkwifi.net. Moreover, all new devices support all previous connection address options.

Login to the router

Logging into the router is easy, just follow one of the following links and the settings will open:

tplinklogin.net

tplinkwifi.net

If suddenly nothing opens: make sure you are connected via wire or Wi-Fi to the router! Without this, nothing will work.

And then everything is simple: enter your login and password in the form that opens and get into the account itself. If you previously set a login and password, you should know them. If not, TP-Link usually defaults to the administrator login and password adminadmin. Well, you can also look at that same sticker, maybe everything is different for you. Brief login instructions:

Absolutely any browser is suitable for logging in, even on your phone. The fact is that the control panel is the same website that is running on the router. So you can access it through absolutely any browser.

Possible problems

Problems may arise when connecting - the page does not open or is not accessible, and nothing can be done. I will note the main points that you should pay attention to in order to avoid this:

  1. Check the connection address! If you make a mistake by one letter or write something extra, it won’t work. The most reliable option is to follow one of the links above. Your browser should understand everything and open the settings. Some even manage to type “tplinklogin.net”. Also note that there are no prefixes here - neither http, nor www. Just try to switch, and everything should work. I've done this myself many times.
  2. Checking the local network connection. If via wire, the connection lights on the router will light up. If by air, your active connection will light up. In this case, there may not be an Internet connection; it is not needed.

  1. Have you changed your network adapter settings? If not, then everything is ok. But if you have any doubts, check that all addresses are obtained automatically. Otherwise, your device may think it is on a different network from the router.

  1. If you connect via Wi-Fi. Is the wire disconnected? Was there a wired connection before? It happens that old settings from another router remain, and a network conflict arises.
  2. Is the router turned on? Are the lights on on it?
  3. Try connecting from another device. For example, a telephone. Managed? Just in case, reboot the first one.

Other addresses

I will list a complete list of other possible addresses. Perhaps one of these will suit you:

  • tplinkap.net- access points
  • tplinkextender.net- repeaters
  • tplinkmodem.net- ADSL modems
  • 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 – standard digital connection addresses. Both can happen – just try.

Here I will leave possible combinations Login - Password on these devices by default. But if you have changed something before, only resetting the settings will save you from a forgotten password.

  • admin – admin
  • admin – ttnet
  • root-admin

Resetting the settings is done by holding the Reset button for up to 20 seconds on the rear panel. The button is located in a hole, you can get it out with something thin, for example, a needle, or it can be combined with the WPS button (to reset, we still hold it for about 20 seconds before rebooting).

Wrong address

It happens that the following error occurs:

Oops! It looks like you aren’t connected to your TP-Link network.Please check your network connection and try again.

The problem may not be a lack of connection, but a lack of support for the name - but a website opens via the Internet, where this message is displayed. I have the same thing with addresses:

tplinklogin.net – approaches, settings open.

tplinkwifi.net – does not work, the site for this error opens because... I don’t have the newest router, and it simply doesn’t know about this address.

Otherwise, everything is fine, just try different addresses and everything will definitely work out! If anything, write your questions in the comments, we will definitely try to solve your problem!

These settings are often called the web interface or control panel. As well as a web configurator, etc. All work on entering the settings parameters of the wireless router is carried out in his personal account.

Despite the apparent simplicity of all operations for logging in and entering network parameters, a significant number of owners of TP-Link routers experience difficulties with this.

The following guide will help you eliminate possible connection problems. For clarity, it contains images and screenshots that accompany all the step-by-step instructions.

How to login

In the latest models of its devices, the company began to use a hostname like “tplinklogin.net” or “tplinkwifi.net” to enter your personal account. And older equipment mostly used a standard digital IP address, such as “192.168.1.1” and “192.168.0.1.”

It should be noted that in modern routers from the company in question, both options for launching the web configurator often work successfully.

To find out which method should exactly work to gain access to the settings, you need to study the documents for the router, where the manufacturer always displays the current address, or simply turn the device over and look at the sticker.

The authorization parameters specified by the manufacturer are also written here: name and code.

The most common problems when logging into the web interface

It happens that sometimes it is impossible to do this, and the browser displays the message “Unable to access the site.”

Or an error notification appears: “Web page not found.”

Of course, this problem can be solved with one call to the provider, who will send a specialist from the technical support team. An experienced employee will quickly fix all problems for a fee, but when the user does not have time to wait for his arrival or does not have the extra financial resources to pay for a small service, then with a little care and patience, you can fix everything yourself.

The main reasons for lack of access to your personal account are usually the following:

  1. The web interface address was entered incorrectly;
  2. Error in the IP of the network card;
  3. Suitable software for its normal functioning is not installed;
  4. Problems with the hardware of the TP-Link router itself;
  5. Cable defect;
  6. Malicious applications.

Incorrect IP input

Due to inattention or lack of sufficient experience, users very often make mistakes when entering their IP in the Internet browser. Thus, dots are often missed between address numbers, and sometimes spaces are placed between them. Also, instead of zero, some people type “O”.

You must be especially careful when typing an address, since you will not be able to log into your personal account even if any of the characters are missed or mistakenly entered into the address bar of the browser.

When you log into the web configurator via IP, you should type it in the address bar of the browser, and not in the search bar. A correct input example is shown in the image below.

You just need to enter the address accurately from the first to the last character - and the problem often solves itself.

Sometimes, even if you enter it correctly, the configuration menu does not launch, but instead a window that looks like this opens:

This means that there is probably no connection between the router and the PC. It is recommended that if the user used a connection to the router via Wi-Fi, connect the computer to the device with a patch cord.

If a wired connection is already used, check the integrity of the cable. There should be no damage, tears or kinks on it.

Beginner users are concerned about the “!” symbol. in the connections icon. It should be noted that it will disappear after a successful connection to the Internet. And to enter the configurator, you do not need access to the global network. The main thing is to ensure that the direct connection between the router and the personal computer is in full working order.

It is not recommended to configure the router through the Opera Internet browser, as some parameters may not be displayed correctly in it. It is better to use Chrome or standard Explorer for these purposes. If all the above instructions are followed correctly, the authorization menu will appear.

By default, the password and name are usually the same - admin. They are written in the accompanying documentation for the device and on a sticker at the bottom of the case. On used devices these parameters have been changed and should be obtained from the last owner.

If it is impossible to contact the old owner of the device, you can roll back all device settings to the factory configuration. To do this, you will need, armed with a thin hard object, to press the “Reset” button recessed in the router body.

If all the inscriptions on it are translated into Russian, then under this button it says “Reset”. After holding it for about ten seconds, the indicator lights on the device will blink and all parameters will be reset. The user only needs to release the reset key and wait for the router to reboot.

After this, the password and name will be in effect again, and they will launch the control panel.

Incorrect network settings

If, despite all the above recommendations, you cannot open the required menu, the likely reason for this is an error in the PC’s network settings.

You need to do the following:

Network card software

Often, access to the web configurator is not possible after updating or reinstalling Windows, and the PC owner has not installed the appropriate drivers for the equipment.

To ensure that the network controller is functioning properly, you only need to complete the following few steps:

  1. Launch "Device Manager";
  2. If the equipment item has a red or yellow “!” icon, then it means you need to update its drivers.

If the system was unable to detect the corresponding software in its database, the user needs to visit the official website of the device developer from another PC located online on the network and download the drivers to a flash drive, from which they can then be installed on the problem computer. After this, nothing should prevent access to the router interface.

Conclusion

As you can see, the problems can be easily solved without the help of a specialist, the main thing is to show a little patience and attentiveness.

Tplinklogin.net - url address for logging in and setting up your personal account for TP-Link routers using login and password: admin - admin (out of the box), synonym for IP addresses: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1; and tplinkwifi.net. Tplinklogin.net is designed to make it easy to remember the router login address - the text address is easy to remember, unlike the digital IP. By typing this address with a correctly connected router via Wi-Fi or local network, you will be logged into the management system of your own router. When you enter an address in a browser through a device that is not connected to a TP-Link router, you will be taken to another website and not to the router settings.

Figure 1: sticker of the router indicating its address, login and password.

The address http://tplinklogin.net is supported by TP-Link routers with firmware from 2011, including the popular TL-WR720N, TL-WR741ND, TL-WR840N, TL-WR841N, TL-WR940N, new routers, modems and TP routers -Link: C2, C7; C20, C30, C50, C70 and older models. It is difficult to find a working modern device without support for this address.

How to log into the router at Tplinklogin.net

If the connection is made according to the instructions and the equipment of the computer, laptop, tablet, phone and router is working properly, then after connecting the router, open the browser and type the address tplinklogin.net, having previously connected to the created local network or via Wi-Fi. When connecting for the first time, the login and password for logging in are: admin and admin. If the device is not new, then indicate the login and password to which the admin-admin pair has been changed. Step-by-step instructions in Figure 2.

Figure 2: browser with the address tplinklogin.net, login field admin, password field admin.

  1. Open a browser: Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari or another;
  2. go to tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.1;
  3. fill in the login and password fields, default admin-admin;
  4. Click the "sign in" button or press "enter" on your keyboard.

That’s it, the login to the router’s personal account via tplinkwifi.net has taken place. If a mistake was made and you couldn’t log in, read on.

Problems logging into the router's personal account

  • Make sure you spell it correctly:
    Right:
    Tplinklogin.net, https://tplinklogin.net, www.tplinklogin.net or http://tplinklogin.net, http://www.tplinklogin.net, http://www.tplinklogin.net;
    wrong:
    tplinklogin. net, tp-linklogin.net, tplinklogin, tplinklogin net ru, tplinklogin net.
  • check the connection of the router to the computer via WAN or WiFi to the smartphone (wireless device). Connect the device not just to the Internet, but to the network specified on the router. The tplinklogin.net site works locally, setting up the Internet is not important;
  • Make sure you enter tplinkwifi.net in your browser's address bar. If you enter the address into the search window, you will see a message that there is no connection to the Internet, or search results if the router is connected to the Internet. Try using another browser: Firefox, Chrome, Mirosoft Edge, IE, Opera, Safari, Tor;
  • IPv4 protocol property settings block the operation of the TP-Link router. To operate the router, specify “automatically obtain IP addresses and DNS.” IPv4 settings on Windows are discussed in the article and;
  • the router uses another local connection, for example via a WAN cable and via Wi-Fi at the same time;
  • the router is not connected to the network;
  • try to specify not Tplinklogin.net, but tplinkwifi.net, 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1;
  • change input device. It was not the router that could have broken down, but the hardware responsible for transmitting network data in a computer, tablet or smartphone.

If the router panel opens, but you cannot log in, then the problem lies in the password, it has probably been changed from admin.

Video on the topic (in English):

The goal of any self-respecting large company is to satisfy customer needs. And the more convenient the product is for them, the greater the number of consumers there will be in the end. That is why, in order to make life easier for its customers and simplify the process for them to enter the settings of their wireless routers and modems, TP-Link is introducing on its devices the ability to access the web configurator using a hostname. It all started with . And this address was used for a long time. But over time, the picture changed. On newer devices you can find another option - address tplinkwifi.net to configure the router.

Later, several more options appeared. Now the overall picture looks like this:

Tplinkwifi.net - modern Wi-Fi routers TP-Link
- tplinklogin.net - old versions and firmware of routers and modems
- tplinkap.net - TP-Link access points
- tplinkextender.net - repeaters and signal amplifiers
- tplinkmodem.net - ADSL modems and routers TP-Link

The point of using hostnames is so that the user does not guess what IP address his WiFi router has - 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1 or some other, but simply enters the address of the router’s website into the address bar of the browser - tplinkwifi.net, tplinkmodem.net, or tplinkap.net. This is especially true in cases where the device’s IP changes when updating the firmware, thereby confusing the average user. A striking example is the tl-wr720n, tl-wr740n or tl-wr841n models. To the point that the owner has to take the modem or router to a service center.

To find out which hostname is used on your TP-Link router, simply turn it over and look at what is written on the sticker:

I would like to note that on modern tp-link routers, even if you enter the wrong hostname as written (for example, tplinklogin.net instead of tplinkquifi.net), the device will automatically redirect you to the correct address.

How to log into tplinkwifi.net to configure the router

In order to log in to the router configuration system through the hostname, you just need to launch any web browser Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge or Opera. In the address bar, where you usually enter the address of the desired Internet resource, enter the address of the router’s website: tplinkwifi.net, tplinkmodem.net or tplinkap.net. and press the Enter button.

If suddenly logging in via tplinkwifi.net or tplinkmodem.net is unavailable and the login and password prompt does not appear, and the error “This page could not be displayed” appears, then most likely there is a problem with the settings of the network card or operating system. In this case, it will be easier and faster to log in the old fashioned way - through IP. But here the question arises - how to find out the IP address of a TP-Link router. Very simple! Open network connections in Windows 10 and right-click on the network connection through which the modem or router is connected:

In the menu you need to select the “Status” item. After this, the following window will open:

Click on the "Details" button to access information about the network connection.

In the window that appears, we carefully look at what IP address your computer will receive and what is written in the “Default Gateway” line - this is the router’s IP. Typically 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 is used. Then simply write it in the address bar of the browser instead of tplinkwifi.net and press the Enter key. Like this:

After this, the personal account for setting up the TP-Link router should open without problems.
