How to stick a protective film on a phone without bubbles?

I would recommend starting to learn how to glue protective films from a small diagonal. How smaller size surface, the easier it is to stick it evenly and the less likely it is that dust will get under it.

On preparatory stage First of all, choose a room in the house that has the least amount of fabric and, as a result, dust - the bathroom or kitchen would be ideal. And second, wipe the table on which you will glue the film on your smartphone with a damp cloth.

After this, we print out a fresh, clean napkin, spray it with a can of cleaning liquid and wipe the monitor clean so that its surface is perfectly clean without any streaks or dust. If even the smallest particles remain, they will lead to the formation of difficult-to-remove bubbles under the film.

Next, we take the film and see two labels on it with the numbers “1” and “2”. This is the marking external films, which protect the protective film itself, which we will stick on the phone, from damage. We apply it to the screen and see how all the technical holes for the buttons, camera and sensors fit together.

Carefully tear off the outer protective film marked “1”. You can do it all at once, or you can start from the top edge - whichever is more convenient for you.

If there is a large central button, then it would be best to remove the protection completely and apply the film first along the central axis, and then smoothing the edges away from it.

During this process, air bubbles may appear - we do not pay attention to them, and after the film is evenly glued to the entire surface, we take a regular plastic card and squeeze them out from under the film to the edges of the screen.

After this, you can remove the second auxiliary layer with the number “2” and finally smooth the film over the monitor with a napkin.

In the event that there are bubbles with dust spots under it, then take ordinary stationery tape and cut off 2 tapes from it. We glue the first piece on top of the film to raise it. And carefully place the second one from the inside on the part on which the dust remains and remove it. Then we return the protective film to its place and smooth it out.

For clarity, I also provide a video showing how to stick a film on a tablet using an example iPad Mini.

How to remove bubbles from the protective film on the tablet?

You can remove bubbles that prevent you from clearly seeing the image on the tablet the easy way. Just peel off the film and wipe the screen with a special napkin for cleaning computers and reapply the film.

This is very difficult to do; it’s easier to re-stick the film, after wiping the screen with a special napkin. to remove all microscopic dust particles. You can also try to puncture the resulting bubble with a needle and release the air from it. It’s better to always ask the seller to stick it carefully when buying a film.

It depends on how this bubble is formed...

If it’s just air stuck between the film and the glass, you just need to take a credit card (or something similar - for example, a student’s ruler) and carefully use the edge of the card to move this bubble to the nearest edge.

If the bubble arose due to dust trapped under the film, there is practically nothing that can be done... You can only replace the film itself, but this is work that requires EMERGENCY accuracy and high purity. At home, ensuring the absence of dust in the air is almost impossible. You can try going to the forest or to the seashore in calm and not very hot weather, preferably immediately after rain - in such conditions the dust content in the air is minimal.

In principle, you can ignore the small bubbles between the protective film and the tablet screen. But if the problem still causes inconvenience, then you can take a regular sewing needle and very carefully pierce the film where the bubble forms. Then you need to smooth this place with your palm. The air will come out at the puncture site and the problem will disappear. The main nuance of the operation is not to touch the surface of the screen with the needle.

Such air bubbles can be easily removed by smoothing them out with a ruler. if they are large enough, then try to lift the film and push out the bubble with your fingers, or with the same ruler, or carefully pierce it with a needle.

Well, ideally, just delete this film and that’s it. But if protection is still necessary and there is no desire to remove it, then you can try one or two following methods. The first is to make a puncture in the center of the air bubble with a thin needle and press it with your finger - the air will come out through the puncture and the bubble will disappear. The second is to take a plastic spatula and carefully push the bubble to the edge of the film closest to it.

I usually just rub the eraser from the air bubble to the edge of the film. If the bubbles are small, they disperse easily.

In general, I noticed that now phone screens are made of very durable glass, it does not scratch not only without a film, but also without a case. My smartphone just lies in my bag, I’ve been carrying it like this for several months now and there’s not a single scratch on the glass.

There are several ways to remove bubbles from the tablet's protective film. The first thing you can do is try to smooth out the bubbles that have arisen with your fingers. If that doesn’t work, you can peel off the film and then carefully re-stick it. If this method does not work, then you need to take a needle or pin and carefully pierce these bubbles. You can also peel off this film altogether and throw it away so you don’t have to worry about it.

How to remove bubbles from the protective film on the tablet?

You can use your driver's license or plastic card to smooth the surface of the protective film and remove any bubbles that appear on the screen. When you push the bubbles to the edge of the screen, they come out, leaving a smooth surface on the screen of your portable device.

If the appearance of bubbles is caused by dust particles, then in this case there is a special tape called Dust Remover - with its help you can get rid of this problem. The principle of its operation is that a speck of dust sticks to the surface of this tape and remains on it (the speck of dust can also be removed from the tape), and then bubbles, if any, are removed using the above method.

Removing bubbles from the protective film can be quite problematic. That is why you need to try to immediately paste the film without bubbles.

Before gluing the film, you need to wash your hands thoroughly to remove any oil from your fingers.

Wipe the screen of the device (tablet, smartphone) on which you are going to stick the film with a napkin, the napkin is included with the film. The task of the napkin is to remove not only dirt, but also dust particles and various lint invisible to the eye, since it is usually because of them that bubbles form.

I pasted the film gradually, carefully holding one edge, and with the other hand I pressed it with a cloth and carefully moved it to the edge of the screen while gluing it.

If bubbles do form, it is better to carefully lift off the part glued with the bubbles and re-glue it. You can get rid of some of the bubbles if you begin to adjust them with a cloth from the middle to the edge.

It is impossible to avoid bumps when placing the film on the device if there is a lot of dust in the room. If you do not prepare, micro-debris will stick to the surface of the protective coating and form bubbles that cannot be expelled. Therefore, before you start improving your phone or tablet, you need to consider the following:

  • There is a lot of furniture, textiles and other dust collectors in living rooms - none of this suits us. The best place for sticking film - kitchen or bathroom. True, you will have to take out all the towels, tablecloths and rugs.
  • In the dry air, light dust particles float everywhere. This means you need to work with a spray bottle. The dust will get wet, become heavier and fall to the floor.
  • Wipe all horizontal surfaces with a damp cloth and wash the floor. Done, the room is dust free.

Step 2: Prepare your tools

Now place the tools on the prepared surface. In addition to the device and protective film, we will need:

  • display cleaning liquid, antistatic agent or regular alcohol,
  • credit card or thick plastic card,
  • microfiber cloth (often included with film),
  • stationery tape.

Before work, remove your hair, choose suitable clothing and wash your hands with soap. This way we will minimize the risk of extra dust particles appearing.

Step 3. Prepare a protective film

If you purchased a film specifically for your device, skip this step. If you bought a universal version, you will need to work with scissors or a stationery knife. But first, determine the exact contours of your phone or tablet in the most convenient way:

  • If there is still the factory film that covered the newly purchased device, stick it over the marking grid and cut it out according to the outline.
  • Photocopy your phone. The life-size image will allow you to perfectly fit the film to its shape.
  • Place a sheet of universal film over the gadget and mark the edges with a marker or felt-tip pen.
  • Cut the film, retreating from the edge of the screen approximately 1 mm. This will help place it evenly. protective covering on the phone.
  • After shaping the film, do not forget to make holes for the buttons and speaker.

Step 4: Degrease the screen surface

Using display cleaner, antistatic agent or alcohol, the phone screen. Use a microfiber cloth to remove all small dust particles. After this procedure, do not touch the screen with your fingers or touch the sleeves of your clothing.

Step 5. Apply the film

Each protective film consists of three layers, the top and bottom are marked with labels 1 and 2. The first layer is removed to connect the film to the phone. The second is to reveal the final glossy or matte finish.

  • Turn the film side one down and align it with the device screen. Check that all bends and technical holes match.
  • Take a deep breath, make sure your hands are not shaking, and peel the first layer from the protective film. From now on, do not touch it with your hands, hold it at the edges.
  • Carefully stick the film to the screen, starting from the edge (narrow or wide) and helping yourself with the edge of the plastic card.

  • When finished, remove the second layer from the protective film.

Step 6: Remove missed dust particles

If unfortunate specks of dust do get on the screen, stationery tape will help remove them. Cut two strips from it. Use one piece of adhesive tape to lift the protective film, and use the second to remove the dust.

All that remains is to put the film in place and re-level it with a plastic card.

Ready! Surgery complete, you are amazing! Now you can take your phone or go to the beach without fear: nothing will damage the screen of your fashionable device.

It often happens that after purchasing a new tablet or smartphone, the question arises about protecting the gadget from scratches. If in order to protect the case itself you can only buy a case, then special films are sold for displays. This seems like a simple accessory, but sometimes not many people succeed in gluing it correctly. In most cases, after the film is pasted, air bubbles begin to appear, which are quite difficult to expel outside the film. However, such problems most often arise if the user purchases cheap film. With expensive high-quality films the situation is much easier and bubbles do not seem to be a huge problem.

But even expensive film needs to be able to be glued correctly, and that’s what we’ll tell you about today.

When gluing film to a tablet, the main task is not only to glue it evenly, but also to avoid the appearance of bubbles. The latter, in turn, arise due to dust accumulating on the screen. Thus, before applying the protective film, you need to clean the tablet display from dust particles. It is best to do this in the bathroom so that the dust settles along with the moisture. A microfiber cloth can be used as a cleaning material. At the end of the operation, make sure that the surface of the tablet screen is completely dry. After this, in order to remove as much as possible the dust particles that still remain even after wiping with a cloth, we take paper tape and glue it to the display. We tear it off and get a perfectly clean surface.

Instructions in pictures on how to properly stick the protective film on the tablet:

Now you can start gluing the protective film. When you separate the film from the shipping film, try not to touch inner side films, and also do not completely tear off the film from the shipping film. Next, use gentle, slow movements to apply the film, starting from the edge of the display. You can then use a plastic card to move it over the film, smoothing it out. If you get bubbles, do all the steps from the very beginning. In addition, dust may get on the inside of the film. To remove it, you need to use paper tape in the same way as we did above for the screen.
