Today we will review a rather unusual product - the Rotating Lamp. I first came across this product a year ago, but didn’t even bother saving the link, this offer was so irrelevant for me then.

When my wife decided to turn her own birthday celebration into a disco party at the dacha, the responsibility fell on me to create the surroundings. If basically everything worked out without additional costs, then disco lighting obviously had to be purchased. Having scoured the web, I was somewhat discouraged by the cost of the equipment. Fortunately, I remembered the Full Color Rotating Lamp and immediately placed an order.

Characteristics

There is nothing special to say about placing the order; everything was without surprises, at a level acceptable for Russia. It was delivered a day late, which was not critical, but still not entirely pleasant. About the rear

LED Full Color Rotating Lamp is an extremely compact device that can transform any room. The packaging made a favorable impression, thick cardboard, good printing. The instructions are in English, but all the basic information is duplicated in the form of pictograms, so it’s not difficult to understand.

Main characteristics of my Rotating Lamp:

  • size - slightly smaller than the palm of an adult man, 16 - 18 centimeters;
  • colors used in LEDs - emerald green, Prussian blue, Falun red;
  • the bulb with the lamp is mounted on a reliable steel pin that allows rotation;
  • flask diameter - 8 - 9 centimeters;
  • cartridge - standard E27;
  • warranty service life - 8000 hours;
  • mains power.

I liked the Full Color Rotating Lamp scheme. There is no need to fuss with the installation, just screw it into the socket, the lamp itself starts to shine and spins, creating the atmosphere of disco parties in Miami in the late 70s.

Principle of operation

The rotating multi-colored lamp is easy to install and use. In my case, I first checked the house to see what it would look like and made sure that my wife would approve of such a purchase and the atmosphere it created.

They decided to do the experiment in the kitchen. Observing safety precautions, I unscrewed a regular LED lamp and inserted a rotating LED lamp into the socket. Turned it on, and my wife and I were transported to the dance floor! Flashes, spins, shines - a real disco ball, only more compact and 10 times cheaper.

The effect itself is very natural. The design of the bulb includes lenses that refract light and create that same disco effect. The rotation itself occurs quite smoothly and silently, although it looks somewhat unusual at first.

Rules of use

Full Color Rotating Lamp comes ready to use. All you need is to perform a few simple procedures and enjoy the effect:

  • Having first made sure that there is no voltage supplied to the socket and remembering the danger of electric shock, remove the ordinary lamp from the socket;
  • screw in the LED Full Color Rotating Lamp instead, being careful not to twist the lamp itself in the socket;
  • We turn on the lights with the switch and get on the dance floor!

Everything is extremely simple and works like a clock. The use of LED lamps allows you to reduce energy consumption. Can work for a long time. At my party, a rotating lamp shone for an hour and a half in a row - and nothing, it worked as it did.

Advantages

After just a few uses for its intended purpose, I can reasonably say that we are more than satisfied with the purchase of a rotating LED lamp. Its use on the dance floor made it possible to turn the dacha yard into a full-fledged disco area with an excellent atmosphere.

What is important is that not only adults were delighted, but also our little guests, on whom the spectacular use of a rotating multi-colored lamp had an unusually vivid impression.

It all started when on some forum I saw a video showing the operation of such a lamp. This interested me and I started looking for this gadget in online stores. Naturally, this lamp turned out to be the work of masters of the Chinese electronics industry :)

There were quite a few stores selling such a lamp. Almost any Chinese “supermarket” that was more or less familiar had it in its assortment. Well, prices, as usual, “floated” and varied quite a lot. But in the end, my choice settled on the store, especially since I was going to order some more New Year’s small items and all sorts of souvenirs there.

In appearance, it looks, to be honest, rather unprepossessing. If you don’t know how this device works, you can easily scroll through the search page and your eyes won’t even stop at this gadget :) The price, as you can see, is not quite high. And when several products are purchased and a discount coupon is also used, the discount becomes even lower.

Let me make a reservation right away: in this store there is another type of the same lamp:


A little more expensive, but with a stand. Why did I choose the first option - yes, because I already had a stand. I bought it on occasion in Leroy Merlin for all sorts of household needs. I don’t remember exactly how much it cost, but it was something like 100 rubles.

Well, in the end the lamp was purchased without a stand. Then everything is standard for BIC - about a month of waiting and I received their plastic bag with goods wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap. The lamp was also in the box. The box was indeed wrinkled, but nevertheless the lamp itself was not damaged during transportation.

Now a little about the lamp itself. Standard E27 base, 3 multi-colored 1W LEDs, an electric motor that rotates the upper plastic part of the lamp, which has a characteristic “cut”.


The length of the lamp is about 15.5 cm, the diameter is about 8 cm. Due to this shape of the upper part and due to its rotation, the lamp creates many rotating spots of light. You can talk about this for as long as you like, but as they say, it’s better to see once than to hear a hundred times:

This is such “color music” :) The quality of the video in low light really wasn’t very good, but I think it conveys the general principle of the lamp’s operation. Quite a budget solution for lighting decoration of any home holiday, be it New Year, a child’s birthday, or just a party with friends. By the way, the lamp does not have to be placed in a stand. It can easily be screwed in instead of a regular ceiling lamp. True, the “festival of light” in this case will be on the floor, and not on the ceiling :)

I had no complaints about the quality of workmanship. Quite normal, not smelly plastic. It doesn't get very hot during operation. You can only hear the quiet hum of the motor rotating the top of the lamp. Once we had this lamp “spinning” for about 4 hours without stopping - no problems were found either.

In general, if you are thinking about purchasing some New Year's gadgets, take a closer look at this lamp. Buying it obviously won’t put a big dent in your budget, but it will definitely give your children, if you have any, a lot of joy. You can determine the place of purchase for yourself; there are many such lamps on Aliexpress and in other Chinese stores.
