How to work with a laser level correctly. How to use a laser level (level, plane builder). How to check a laser level for accuracy

Reading time ≈ 3 minutes

Unfortunately, many people who independently build a house or renovate an apartment complain that they cannot build walls, partitions or floors evenly. This often happens because it requires knowing how to use modern construction tools. And the main one is a laser level, with which you can achieve maximum accuracy of horizontal or vertical surfaces.

Why do you need to use a laser level?

Many builders use the basic level the old fashioned way - “by eye”, and they do not understand how to use a laser level. For any builder engaged in repair and construction work, such a device is simply necessary. After all, with its help you can mark all the irregularities and defects on any vertical or horizontal surface. With the help of such a device you can level walls, glue wallpaper, lay tiles on the floor and walls. Even doors and windows can be installed correctly if you learn how to use such a device.

Working with a laser level

There are two types of levels (laser levels) - prismatic and rotary. Prismatic ones are very easy to use, but their measuring range is about 20 meters, so they are only suitable for domestic needs. Rotary ones are much more expensive, since their range can reach more than 100 meters, so they are often used in construction work.

If you understand how to use a laser level correctly, you can accurately level any surface. The device is installed on a tripod, and you need to adjust it manually or wait until it installs itself. There are pendulum and electronic levels; one stops blinking and the other stops beeping, which means you can start working.

A line, dot, or crosshair should appear on the surface that needs to be leveled, depending on the device used. If the device must be leveled manually, then, like other levels, there is an air bubble in it. You must manually adjust the device so that the bubble moves to the center. If it is a self-leveling level, then after installation on a tripod it stops oscillating, and a vertical and horizontal laser line appears on the wall.

If the device is installed in the required location, the lines will be visible not only on the wall, but also on the floor and ceiling. The intersection of vertical and horizontal lines is especially important for builders. This device is often used by tilers, for whom it is very important to lay the tiles along a line so that the horizontal and vertical lines are strictly at an angle of 90 degrees.

What do you need to know when working with a laser level?

If you watch the video attached to the article on how to use a laser level, you can quickly learn how to use it correctly. This device also comes with glasses; they are necessary when the device has to be used in sunlight - the laser lines will be better visible with glasses. You should also be careful not to get the laser beam into your eyes, as this could damage the retina.

Laser levels are often used by professionals because markings with their help are as accurate as possible. They are also good for the human eye to see over long distances and on the streets on a hot sunny day. But beginning craftsmen often have problems using this technique. To shed light on this topic, we have written an article for you that is dedicated to the proper setup and operation of laser levels.

Before how begin

Before purchasing this device, you probably knew what type of laser level you were choosing. Well, if you are using a tool that is not yours (it was given/sold/loaned to you), then you must clarify what exactly you are holding in your hand.

So, laser levels are divided into only three types.

  1. And the last variety is “Static line builders” (other names: crossliner, multi-prism builder).

The product box usually comes with instructions that tell you in detail how to set everything up. Here, as a rule, everything is easy to set up; you don’t need to make any special efforts.

Does your level have a battery? This means that it must first be recharged. And if it takes energy from batteries, then you need to insert these batteries into the appropriate place. Then turn it on to check operation: at this stage the laser should appear. As soon as it started working and the rays appeared, the level is operational and you have configured it correctly. As you can see, everything worked out quickly and easily. Now you can start working.

What is the position for laser level is considered correct?

It is critically important to place the level in the correct position! The quality of his work will depend on this. You can do this as follows.

  • The most banal, but important rule is that there should be no objects in the path of reflection of laser beams that will interfere and break the lines. It is necessary to position the level in accordance with the maximum value specified in the instructions. It is not advisable to exceed this maximum, as this makes the marking inaccurate. Reducing the distance, on the contrary, will help increase the accuracy of marking.
  • If you need to place the level at a far distance from the walls, then you can use beam receivers that increase the radius of the device. Before carrying out work, it is necessary to fix the level on a plane or on a special holder (a tripod is also suitable).
  • You must NOT touch or wobble it if you want to get accurate results. For safety reasons, you should warn people living with you not to enter the room where the relevant work is being carried out, since laser beams can seriously injure the eyes. Pets should also be taken to another room or apartment.
  • And the last point: using a bubble level (which is built into your device), you need to level the device horizontally. While the device is moving, the bubble level will make sounds. We need to level our device to meet our needs and leave it motionless, while the sound should subside. If the sound disappears, then we can get to work.

Setting up the laser device

Your device should come with instructions for setting up and using it, but it may not be clear to you, so we will also help you step-by-step understand this aspect of working with laser levels.

The simplest levels have 2-3 bubble levels. These bubbles are intended to adjust the level. How it's done? It's very simple: you tighten the screws until this bubble is in the middle.

Some such devices have a feature that automatically levels itself. But this function only works when the device is tilted no more than 10-15 degrees. If the surface is not very smooth, then whether you like it or not, you will have to tighten these screws by hand.

The ground type laser levels allow you to project 2 laser beams in both horizontal and vertical directions, and you can choose how many lasers to use, one of them (for example, vertical) or both at once. Also, for different models, you can optionally enable the functions of a laser point and a plumb line to transfer the point from the floor to the ceiling (nadir/zenith).

The rotational type of laser levels has in its arsenal all the above listed sets of functions + beam rotation speed and scanning angle. But the device projects rays only in one plane, although there are models that can also project the vertical axis. This abundance of possibilities is mainly used on large sites and industrial buildings. Ideally, a rotating laser level is used with a tripod and receivers (detectors) for working outdoors in bright sunlight.

Experienced professionals turn off unnecessary functionality when working. Firstly, it preserves the viability of the battery, and secondly, it reduces energy consumption.

Upgrade Accessories level and making it easier to work with

Let's increase distances beam using a laser beam receiver.

When working outdoors, a laser radiation receiver will be an indispensable assistant for you. This device will almost double the beam distance without causing any damage to the visibility of the laser beam. Even under the scorching sun, you can clearly see the projected line on the object. There is one nuance here: it is advisable to purchase a level and a laser receiver from the same company, otherwise there may be a problem with synchronizing devices from different manufacturers. A rotary laser level, for example, always comes with such a device.

What if you can't use any receivers with your laser level? In this case, you can purchase a reflective plate, it will help slightly increase the maximum achievable laser distance, but, unfortunately, it is not as effective as advanced receivers.

We aim and hit exactly"

In your box with a laser level you probably have a “ball” - these are metal or plastic plates with a drawn target (similar painted targets are placed when playing at a shooting range), they help us aim and shoot clearly at the target. Only we will shoot not with ordinary bullets, but with laser beams!

Let's look at the usefulness of this tool using an example: let's say you need to drill a hole in a wall a couple of centimeters higher than in the previous wall, and the distance between these opposite walls is half a meter. I would like to see how you do this :) To do this, you need to see the marks left with a marker, which will cause serious difficulty for you. And when using a target, hitting the target with a beam will not be difficult for you, even if you are not a very accurate person.

So, we have the plate, now how to use it? To obtain a flat surface, you need to attach it with plaster to the wall exactly according to the vertical level (laser level), so that all the elements are in the plane. These beacons should be placed at a distance slightly shorter than the spatula. Now we have looked at an example of using “beacons” when leveling a wall. We will discuss this aspect of the work a little lower.

Some levels also come with optical sights that can improve the accuracy of your laser. They are located in the level body and provide additional accuracy. Professionals use this function in road repairs, pouring foundations, and when installing machinery or equipment over a long distance; it is suitable for the construction of almost any project.

BUT! To fully enjoy the capabilities of an optical level, you need to have a tripod with you (a construction tripod is assumed) and a staff. By the way, even in the modern age of technology, optical measurement is considered the best way!

Perfectly straight lines with using a leveling machine slats.

We will need a rail when drawing several even parallel lines, the distance between which is the same. If necessary, you can also change the height of the level attached to the tripod, and then return it back to its original position

7 examples of using the level in practice

Professionals say that the possibilities of a laser level are endless! You can use it as you please, if your imagination does not prohibit it.

Correcting the surface

This example most clearly reflects the backwardness of bubble levels, rulers and roulettes.

We check the evenness of your floor and wall: we place a laser leveler along the floor and look. In the case of the wall, we do the same thing, only we put several marks.

The projected line will show you the deviation in the wall at each point you set. Based on the data obtained, you can adjust the thickness of the layer, which should even out these defects in each mark.

Finishing tiles

When turning on the level, you need to use both the horizontal and vertical beams so that they form a cross when they intersect. Then we align the central seams of the tile with the center of intersection of the laser beams, and we will correct the edges of the tile using the lines of our beams.

How to construct an indirect plane?

The work cannot always be done using straight horizontal or vertical lines. To make a home even more attractive, designers resort to various experiments, and for this we just need our laser level. The instructions will most likely tell you how to do this if you read them carefully.

If your level has an automatic leveling system, then before you start, you need to block this system. There are levels that also combine a function that automatically changes the angle of the beams. You can easily place the laser level on a tripod and tilt it to the desired angle.

Gluing perfectly smooth wallpaper using a laser level

To perform such a task, we don't need anything other than a laser level. All you need to do is to correctly fix the level at the desired degree and “shoot” the beams at the walls. That's it, the level's work is over, now you just need to align the edges of the wallpaper or any other decoration under the projected rays. It is unlikely that you would have achieved a smooth border without a laser assistant.

We install any household furniture or appliances

So, we present to you another application of a laser level. To be honest, you could do without a level here, but why complicate all the work by using long-outdated bubble levels, rulers and tape measures? We installed a laser level and in no time hung a shelf or moved a cabinet or any other household furniture.

We plan the room correctly and install partitions

Again, why would you complicate the job by leveling and drawing everything by hand when a laser level can do the job.

So, first we need to do the markup. For example, you need to divide a room in half by installing a partition exactly in the middle of the supporting column. What are we doing? We first measure the width of the frame. Let's say we have measured everything, and the width of the frame from which we will make the partition is 66 mm. We step back from the center of the column 33 mm and project the rays to the wall and floor (one vertical beam is enough), put a point exactly above the beam (you can circle it so that it is clearly visible). Now, using our level, we transfer this point to the floor. We do the same with the opposite column. Using a marking rope, we mark a line and eventually get an even strip relative to which the frame will be attached.

Using a level for marking

A level can greatly help you when measuring something. For example, not a vertical wall. Since it will be problematic to measure the height of such a wall using the usual method, a laser level comes into play (this can also be done using a laser rangefinder, if you have one nearby).

We turn on the level, project its laser beams and get points on the floor and ceiling that can be measured with a simple ruler. In this case, the data is accurate.

Safety first!

For you to see the reflection of a laser on a wall in bright sunlight, the beams must be very powerful. This means that if you are not careful with them and allow people and animals near them, this can seriously affect their health. If the beam gets into your eyes, the consequences can be irreversible! We kindly ask you to remember safety before and during work and use your level carefully. And one more tip: in order to see the rays clearly and clearly and at the same time protect your eyes, wear safety glasses before the upcoming work.

Any modern construction work requires some marking requirements and therefore the usual tools (level, tape measure, level, etc.) will not work.

Since using these tools you cannot get an accurate measurement. It is for this reason that in order to obtain accurate measurement data, they began to use a laser level.

The point type laser level produces two narrow beams. One beam is directed horizontally and the other vertically, so this tool is not suitable for finishing and construction work.

This laser level has a low price, low power consumption and a long beam range, so it is suitable for determining preliminary markings and determining the height difference between objects.

Very often, a dot-type laser level is equipped with a function - this makes the device more practical.

Prismatic

The rotary laser level is a plane builder and is a chiseled level that is installed in a rotating head.

Due to the high speed of movement, the point is transformed into an unbroken line of the plane, which is located at a certain angle.

When doing DIY construction or repair work, rotary-type laser levels are not used; they are used only by professionals or designers.

Laser level device

Regardless of the type of laser level, it contains the following parts::

  1. Power supply;
  2. Emitting LED;
  3. Lens system that focuses the LED beam;
  4. Stabilization system;
  5. Shockproof and sealed housing;
  6. Remote control and control buttons.

The laser level is powered by ordinary batteries and rechargeable batteries.

The number of batteries or accumulators depends on many factors. For levels, red or green diodes are most often used; the power of these diodes ranges from 1 mW to 1 watt. Typically, low-power diodes are always inserted in point devices, and high-power diodes are used in rotor levels.

But the diodes themselves are not capable of creating a point or a line, because they create a very wide beam of light, and for this reason laser levels are equipped with a lens system. The lens system and diodes are the most expensive components of laser levels. In order for laser levels to work properly, they need to be leveled and different systems are used for this.

Leveling systems

Mechanical alignment They are made using a hinge, which is located on a stand - a tripod or small legs. In these devices, position adjustment is carried out, as with a regular level, using a capsule with an air bubble. Levels with a tripod are easier to use when working, but they cannot be used where the device on the tripod does not fit.

Pendulum alignment. Laser levels can be adjusted using a pendulum system; such systems independently set the level or level.

When the system has completed installation of the device, a light or sound signal is produced, which indicates that work can begin. Such devices are easy to use, but cost significantly more, which is why builders and finishers purchase them.

Appearance

Laser levels are equipped with a shock-resistant and sealed housing, this is necessary so that if the device falls or gets wet, it does not deteriorate. The power button on the device is necessary to connect the LED to the battery or battery.

There are buttons on the device and on the separate control panel that are designed to select different operating modes of the device. The control panel allows you to control the device from a distance, which greatly simplifies the work.

Selecting a laser level

Before purchasing a laser level, you need to understand what problems the device will solve.

As a rule, the higher the characteristics and functionality of the device, the higher its price.

Inexpensive devices usually have low characteristics and are suitable only for finishing or installation work in small areas.

Rotary laser level suitable for clarifying the boundaries of markings, but where any materials will be laid on top of the lines, this type of level will not be suitable.

Prism laser level It has a higher price, but it is also more functional; it is also used as an axle builder. It is also used to mark surfaces on which a solution or glue will be applied before laying the material. But a prismatic level is not suitable for creating non-straight lines; a rotary level can handle this task better.

Inexpensive devices are suitable for DIY construction, but for more complex tasks it is better to use professional devices.

How to use a laser level?

  1. To use a laser level correctly, you need to install the level in the correct place, and if you operate the device on a tripod, then you need a platform of the appropriate size to install it.
  2. To install a floor-standing or tabletop device, a flat platform is required, since the requirements for such devices are higher than for tripods. The deviation from the horizontal should not be more than twenty degrees, otherwise it will be difficult to align and secure the level and therefore there may be inaccuracies with the markings.
  3. It is best to set the level so that it is precisely aimed at the marking location, because this will reduce settings failure. After you have chosen the installation location, you need to level the device or the pendulum system will do it for you.
  4. When the device is ready for use, it is turned on and dots, rays or crosshairs are set. Then check the horizontal level.

It is necessary to set the level so that the vertical and horizontal lines pass strictly along the line of installation of finishing or building materials.

When working with the device outdoors in sunny weather, it is best to use special glasses. Such glasses are often included with the device, but if they are not included, you can buy them at a hardware store.

Be very careful when handling the device as the laser beam may damage your vision.

In this text we talked about the laser level and how to use the laser level and we really hope that this article was useful to you. We wish you good luck!

Modern construction and repair work places high demands on markings, so traditional means, which include a level, tape measure, plumb line and level, can no longer provide the required quality. Therefore, traditional devices have been replaced by a laser level, which successfully replaces all the necessary tools. In this article we will talk about the different types of laser levels (LU), and also give recommendations for the correct use of these devices.

Types of laser levels

All devices of this type are divided into three types:

  • Point (axis builders);
  • Prismatic (line builders);
  • Rotational (plane builders).

The point level forms two narrow beams, one of which is directed horizontally and the other vertically, making it not suitable for construction and finishing work. But the low price, very low energy consumption and long beam range make it ideal for those who need to make preliminary markings, as well as compare height differences between some objects. Often, a point level is equipped with a rangefinder function, which makes it more practical, because such a tool replaces a tape measure and accurately determines the length at a distance of up to 30 meters.

Prismatic levels form two wide beams of high power, due to which they are reflected on any obstacle in the form of vertical and horizontal lines. Thanks to the use of this level, it is possible to carry out finishing work without preliminary marking and the use of an inconvenient plumb line. For example, to lay tiles, the mortar is applied to the wall, which is why it hides the marking line and you have to install the tiles at random, mentally imagining the lines passing under the mortar. In such a situation, a prismatic level allows you to see the markings directly on the mortar, which greatly increases the quality and evenness of tile laying.

The rotary plane builder is a point level mounted in a rotating head. Due to the relatively high rotation speed, the point turns into an unbroken line of the plane, located at the required angle. In household (independent) construction or repair work, plane builders are not used due to the very high price, but they are very much in demand among professional builders and designers.

How does a laser level work?

Regardless of the level type, it always includes the following elements:

  • power supply;
  • emitting LED (multi-beam devices use several diodes);
  • a lens system that focuses the LED beam;
  • stabilization system;
  • sealed and shockproof housing;
  • buttons or control panel.

The power source for any laser level is batteries and accumulators, and both the size and number of power elements depends on many parameters. Low-power axis builders make do with a minimum number of batteries, but to operate a line builder and, especially, a plane builder, much more energy is needed, hence the increased number of power elements. Most devices use red or green emitting diodes with a power of 1 mW to 1 watt. Moreover, low-power diodes are always installed in point devices, medium-power emitters are used in line builders, and the most powerful parts are used in plane builders.

However, the diode itself is not capable of creating a point, much less a line, because it emits a fairly wide beam of light, so any laser level is equipped with some kind of lens system that gives the beam the necessary characteristics. The diode and lens system are the most expensive components of a laser level. For normal operation of laser levels it is necessary to align them, for which various systems are used. Mechanical alignment is achieved by using an appropriate hinge on the tripod stand or by changing the length of the small legs arranged in a triangle. In such devices, the position is adjusted in the same way as with a regular level, that is, with the help of air bubbles located in the water capsule.

Devices with a tripod are easier to operate and allow a much wider range of adjustments, but they cannot be used where the tripod does not fit. There are also pendulum systems that independently set the level or level. After the system has installed the device, a sound or light signal is given indicating that you can start working. Such devices are easier to use, but are noticeably more expensive, which is why professional builders and finishers buy them.

A sealed, impact-resistant housing is necessary for any precision measuring equipment used in construction, because there is always a chance that the level will be dropped or spilled on something. The power button on any device connects the LED to the battery or accumulator. In addition, the buttons on the device itself, as well as on the external control panel, are designed to select different operating modes. The remote control allows you to change the operating modes of the device without approaching it, which in some cases greatly simplifies the work.

Bosch GRL 300 HV

rotational level

A professional device with a beam range of up to 300 meters. It is expensive, so it is used only on large objects.

How to choose a level

When planning to purchase a laser level, you must clearly understand what tasks this or that device can solve. After all, the higher the characteristics and functionality of a level, the higher its price. The most budget devices have low performance and are inexpensive, but are only suitable for construction or finishing work in small areas where there are no high requirements for accuracy. The axis builder will be useful when determining the boundaries of the marking, but it is not suitable for full marking, especially where some materials will be laid on top of the lines. The line builder is more expensive, but much more functional, because it can also be used as an axis builder. With its help, you can mark even those surfaces on which glue or mortar will be applied before laying the finishing material. However, a prism level is not suitable for creating inclined lines; only a rotary level can handle this task. Moreover, even an inexpensive device, such as Ermak 659-023, has sufficient characteristics for use in home construction or repair. But for more complex and large-scale construction it is necessary to use a professional apparatus.

How to use a level correctly

To use the level as efficiently as possible, you must choose the right place to install it. If you are using the device on a tripod, you need a sufficiently large area to install it. To install a tabletop or floor-standing device, you need a level surface because the surface requirements for such levels are much higher than for tripods. It is advisable that the deviation from the horizontal at the site be no more than 20 degrees, otherwise it will be difficult to align and secure the level, which means problems with markings will arise. In addition, it is necessary to set the level so that it is directed as accurately as possible to the marking location, this will reduce the likelihood of failure of the vertical and horizontal settings. After choosing a location and installing the device, level it or wait for the pendulum system to do this on its own.

After completing these operations, turn on the device and set the dots, crosshairs or rays in accordance with the markings. Then be sure to check that the level is horizontal again - you may have moved it during adjustment. If you install the level on a wall or other vertical surface, then the sequence of actions remains the same:

  • installation in the correct location;
  • vertical and horizontal alignment;
  • power on;
  • checking horizontality and verticality.

Set the level so that the vertical and horizontal lines pass along the line of laying building or finishing materials. If you are working with a level outside, in bright sunlight, and have difficulty seeing a point or line, use the special glasses that come with most of these devices. If you don't find them in the box with the level and among your tools, buy these glasses at a hardware store. The glasses are universal and suitable for laser levels of any manufacturer. When using laser levels and levels, remember that the laser beam poses a serious hazard to the eyes, so be careful when operating the devices.

When performing construction work, it is very difficult to do without such a device as a level.

Rice. 1 Using a laser level

Nowadays, laser devices are the most popular and convenient, but not everyone knows how to use a laser level.

This device uses a directional beam that can mark a point or line on any surface, and alignment is carried out along it.

All laser levels are divided into two categories:

  • prismatic;
  • rotary.

Features of prism devices

These are usually inexpensive devices. They are very easy to use and have a low cost, so if you need to perform leveling of surfaces or other work at home, then a prism level is the best option.

Light is received from LEDs, then with the help of special prisms it is converted into a directed laser beam.

This is a very reliable device, since there are no complex mechanisms in its design and there is practically nothing to break.

Typically, two prisms are installed in such tools, this allows the surface to be leveled in a vertical and horizontal position.

They can be used individually or together, and they will form a cross.

Although if we talk about the range of this level, then it is small, up to 20 meters, but for performing any work in an apartment, it is quite suitable.

Features of the rotation level

If you need such a device to carry out repairs only in an apartment, then it will be enough to purchase an inexpensive prism model.

The rotary model is needed when leveling and other work is carried out on large sites, since its range of action is up to 500 meters.

The cost of such a device is much higher, so it is not advisable to buy it for indoor use only.

If you are professionally engaged in construction work, then you definitely need to purchase a rotating laser level; with its help you can perform work on leveling surfaces, you can draw a circular sector, etc.

So, we have figured out the design of such devices, now we need to decide which device to buy, battery-powered or rechargeable?

It is impossible to give a definite answer here, for example, the level can work on batteries for several days in a row, but on a battery this is impossible, but the battery can be charged, but new batteries will have to be purchased.

Let's figure out what control buttons are on such instruments and what they are needed for. There are usually three controls: a power button, a mode switch, and a locking lever.

If everything is clear with the buttons, based on their name, then not everyone knows the purpose of the lever.

This element is used to fix the level while it is moving and when marking corners and lines, when there is no need to level the level horizontally and vertically.

All laser devices have an automatic leveling limit, which is 5-10 degrees.

In order to pre-align the level, there is a small bubble level on its tripod and this is enough.

Preliminary alignment is performed using special screws that are on the tripod.

Depending on whether the device is pendulum or electronic, it will blink or beep until you have installed it correctly.

After this, you can turn on the device and you will see a clear line. Working with such a device is simple and easy, so you can master it yourself.

Operating modes

You can operate a laser level in different modes and perform different tasks. Let's consider the main operating modes of this device.

Horizon Projection mode

This mode allows you to draw a clear horizontal line. The disadvantage of most models is that due to the alarm height, a horizontal line cannot be drawn to a height of more than 1.5 meters.

But using a regular tape measure, you can move the horizontal line to the required height.

Rice. 2 Drawing a horizontal line

First, the marks are placed on one wall, then the distance from it to the projection is measured and transferred to another wall using a tape measure. All that remains is to draw a line, for which a tapping cord is used, and you can get to work.

Portrait mode

This mode is very convenient when creating various partitions, racks, and supports.

Rice. 3 Drawing a vertical line

In this case, only marks are placed using a tape measure, and the line itself is marked using a level; this is much easier and faster than when setting a horizontal line.

Cross Projection mode

Very often during construction work it is necessary to plot axes of symmetry, and this can be done using this level mode.

Rice. 4 Drawing the cross

With one click of a button you get a cross that can be applied to both the wall and the ceiling. This is very convenient when creating arches, partitions, complex ceilings and other structures.

There are no problems when designing projections on the ceiling, but when designing them on the wall there is also a height limitation.

There are two ways out of this situation: you can draw a horizontal and vertical line separately; You can use a tripod stand and use it to set the level to the required height.

Point projection mode

Some people believe that this mode is not needed and do not use it at work. But experienced craftsmen know that with its help it is very easy to transfer any shapes from one plane to another.

Often craftsmen first draw the shape of a complex ceiling on the floor, this is much more convenient, and then, using the specified laser level function, they transfer it to the ceiling.

This function also performs the work of such a device as a plumb line and with its help it is easy to build partitions and other elements.

Other laser level features

In addition to the described functions, this device allows you to mark on any plane. To draw inclined lines there is a special mechanism with an angle scale.

As you can see, working with a device such as a laser level is not difficult, but its use allows you to not only quickly and easily, but also accurately perform many construction works.

If you previously did all the work “by eye” or using a regular building level, then once you try to work with a laser device, you will understand its advantages and will no longer be able to work without this device.

Name Unit Cost, rub.
Prismatic PC. 3000-8000
Rotary PC. 10000-20000

Table 1. Cost of levels.

You can buy cheaper prismatic models, costing about 800-1500 rubles, but the quality of their work will be low and their service life will be short. Professional rotary levels can cost more than 40,000 rubles.
