The vastness of Minecraft sometimes offers us various challenges and other exciting adventure conditions. For example, today we invite you to download Minecraft SkyBlock, a map that will test what you can do under maximum restrictions.

Latest version: 2.1.

The fact is that this map offers to survive on a small flying island, the area of which does not exceed three 3 cubes. There is a box on it that contains some resources, mainly some useful materials and food. In addition, the conditions of the card limit the player's actions by rules so that he does not try to cheat the system itself. For example, you cannot jump from the island and use console commands.

Minecraft SkyBlock Map– a great opportunity to test yourself and your willingness to perform the most incredible actions. Yes, it’s not so easy to complete this map, but if you are a fan or veteran of Minecraft adventures, you can certainly find a way out of this difficult situation. The main thing is to carefully examine the environment, try to correctly use available resources and strive to realize your own potential. Yes, there are very few resources, but even in this situation, step by step you can survive and succeed. We wish you good luck!

SkyBlock is one of the survival maps for Minecraft where you play and build on an island in the air. The goal is to survive without cheats, expand your possessions, and create food. There are many variations of this map, but the original one focuses on a flying island in an icy biome.

Description and rules of the map

At the beginning of the game you are given the following materials:

  • 26 blocks of land;
  • 1 oak;
  • 1 chest;
  • 1 lava bucket;
  • 1 block of ice.

You can play SkyBlock alone or in multiplayer mode. The difficulty level is not set here, although it should be at least “Easy” to make the game interesting and not too easy. The map will allow you to take your mind off other Minecraft worlds.

You can go through it quickly or slowly, but you should follow the rules:

  1. Don't build a bridge to the mainland;
  2. Don't jump off the island;
  3. Use a difficulty level from Easy and higher;
  4. Don't use cheats.

The goal of SkyBlock is not to build a bridge to the mainland and replenish its supplies from there, although such a development seems tempting. Instead, players must remain on the island. It's possible to put supplies in a chest and jump off the island, but the challenge of this map is to grow your own food to prevent starvation. In this world it is not allowed to enable cheats for flying or spawning elsewhere. Cheats make SkyBlock tasks too simple and uninteresting.

SkyBlock Map Quests

Completing these tasks does not provide any rewards, other than perhaps a sense of pride. Players are not required to complete all objectives, but many are directly related to survival.

Each task can be completed using materials that are on the island and available to the player. The list of competitions is as follows:

  48. Craft 10 Wooden Pressure Plates
  49. Collect 64 bone meal
  50. Create 20 cobblestone steps

Each completed task leads to the beginning of another; for example, creating a cobblestone generator produces cobblestones that can be used to build a house. The tasks do not have to be completed in a particular order, but they are listed in the table in order of priority for survival. Although, you may have your own view on this order.

1. Create a cobblestone generator

Cobblestones are formed when lava and water merge; the generator provides an unlimited supply of cobblestones using these very components. When you start playing SkyBlock, you will find a lava bucket and an ice block in the chest. To create a simple cobblestone generator, follow these steps:

  • bury one block and place ice on top of it;
  • bury two blocks to the right of the ice block;
  • place a land block
  • bury one block and place lava on top

After creating the generator, break the ice block. The ice will turn into water and it will fall into a hole nearby, two blocks deep. The third block of earth should not be the only separator between water and lava. By destroying the earth block, you will force the water and lava to combine, creating a cobblestone block.

A properly crafted cobblestone generator provides an endless supply of cobblestones.

2. Construction of a house

Having made a supply of cobblestones, you can begin to build a house. Since the supply of cobblestones is unlimited, it is the most convenient material to use, which can later be replaced with something more interesting.

The size of the house does not matter as long as the bed and other items fit in it.

A cobblestone house will protect you from hostile mobs. Important materials can be kept in the house - crafting tables, furnace and chest.

3. Expansion of the island

Having a cobblestone generator allows you to expand the island with their help and get additional space for future projects. More importantly, land will be needed to create farms and obtain food. The sooner the expansion of the island and the collection of land begins, the better. You will need to get inside the island to collect every available block of land.

Some players prefer to create a waterfall over the edge of the island and build a platform underground. Choose the method you like, as long as you don’t lose soil in the process.

4. Craft a bed

Beds are an important item in SkyBlock. If you die during the game, there is no guarantee that you will be reborn on the island. It may take up to 8-10 respawns before you get to the island again. With a bed you can set the spawn point and avoid such problems.

Crafting a bed won't be a problem if you have enough wool from shorn sheep.

Although you don't need to sleep, you can use thread to create wool. When night falls, go hunting for spiders in places where they are found on the island. Killed spiders drop a thread. This becomes even easier when there is a mob spawning platform (more about its crafting below).

Crafting wool from threads is not difficult. Hunt spiders instead of shearing sheep.

You can survive on rotten flesh, but why is this necessary? Growing wheat will help ensure a steady supply of food. Wheat grows for a couple of game days and can be turned into bread, which restores six hunger points.

Wheat seeds can be obtained from tall grass: if you place blocks of land in squares and allow the grass to grow and spread, you will always have a supply of seeds.

Cutting grass often yields wheat seeds, making grass an invaluable resource.

Carrots satisfy hunger better than wheat, but at first they are not in SkyBlock, and you can only get them if they fall out of a killed zombie.

6. Create a pumpkin farm

Pumpkins aren't a necessary item, but a small farm wouldn't hurt. As of Minecraft update 1.4.2, players can use pumpkins to create pumpkin pie - it restores 8 hunger points (more bread).

To create a pie you need one pumpkin, one sugar and one egg.

Sugar is extracted from sugar cane and eggs are laid by chickens. Chickens can appear in SkyBlock when creating a platform 24 blocks from the house. On this platform, place all the dirt blocks and allow the grass to grow. When all the earthen blocks are covered with grass, chickens begin to appear.

7. Create a sugar cane farm

Sugar cane in SkyBlock has no purpose other than to provide sugar for pumpkin pie. Until recently, players could complete a task to create a bookcase using sugarcane paper and cowhide; Now the spawn rates of animals have been significantly reduced, so the likelihood of cows and sheep appearing on the island has dropped significantly. Chickens and pigs continue to spawn quite often if there are enough grass blocks.

8. Create an oven

The furnace is created using eight cobblestone blocks on a workbench. Kilns are used to fire blocks and turn them into other objects. For example, iron ore can only be turned into iron in a furnace.

Go to the workbench and make a furnace.

In SkyBlock, stoves are important for creating charcoal and cooking food. There is nowhere to extract coal in SkyBlock and it is obtained by burning blocks of wood in a furnace.

You will see flames and the wood will turn into charcoal. Use it to create torches.

9. Create torches

Torches are important for protection from mobs. As the island expands, there is more and more room for mobs to spawn at night, especially if there are no light sources. Too many hostile mobs can lead to disaster, especially if the house is not protected.

To create torches you need sticks and pieces of coal or charcoal.

Place the torch next to the water block to prevent it from turning into an ice block. Since the SkyBlock map is in an ice biome, the water may freeze.

10. Create stone slabs

Mobs cannot be generated on half the slab. In this case, the material of the slab does not matter, be it cobblestone, stone, wood, etc.

Slabs are created by placing three identical building components in a row on a crafting table; Three cobblestones in a row will create a cobblestone slab.

Before building and expanding the island, use slabs to prevent the appearance of zombies, creepers and skeletons. Placing other blocks on slabs makes mob spawning possible again.

11. Create an endless source of water

An endless source of water can be natural or player-created. The simplest way to create an infinite water source is to create a 3 x 1 rectangle of water. By selecting water from the middle block, you get an unlimited supply. Water is needed for farming and creating waterfalls. You can also create a lake from water and fish.

12. Create a small lake

The lake provides an even larger endless source of water and serves as a source of fish. If wheat, melon and pumpkin don't work out, fish can be another food source.

When there is a lake, you need a fishing rod:

To create it, you need three sticks placed diagonally, with two threads at the end.

To fish, right-click on the lake. When the float goes under water (with a splashing sound), right-click again.

13. Create a platform for mob spawning

Building a personal mob spawner is a great way to obtain needed materials like rotten flesh, bones and arrows. Build a platform 24 blocks from the house, surrounding it with a fence.

A good option is to create one platform on top of another with a hole in the middle through which mobs will fall down; If the platform is high enough, the mobs die from the fall, and they drop loot, which you can only pick up. The bottom platform can be made from spawn prevention slabs so that all mobs spawn on top.

14. Collect arrows and create a bow

Having received a platform for mob spawning, collect arrows from skeletons. You can't craft a bow without having arrows, and crafting arrows in SkyBlock is impossible since it requires a stick, a feather, and a flint.

Feathers and sticks can be obtained from wood and chickens, flint must be obtained from gravel, which is not available in SkyBlock. This makes skeletons the only source of arrows.

Once you have arrows, create a bow from three sticks and three strings. The island can now be defended from a distance.

15. Collect bone meal

Trees, wheat and other vegetation do not grow quickly, and sometimes there is no time. Using bone meal on saplings, wheat and other vegetation allows them to grow instantly, although it may take several tries.

Bone meal is created from the bones of skeletons, so again you need a mob spawner.

Bone meal is also useful for growing grass and more grains of wheat for sowing or feeding chickens. It is also needed for growing giant mushrooms in dark locations, like the End.

16. Creation and activation of the End portal

With the SkyBlock card you can travel to the End. However, even there you will find yourself on an island in the air. Getting to the Edge opens up additional opportunities; You can create a platform to spawn pigmen and raise them to get gold nuggets.

We have already talked about this in detail.

They can then be turned into gold bars, suitable for crafting other items. You can create gold armor, tools and weapons. Gold nuggets can be used to create golden apples from ordinary ones on the crafting table. Golden Apples restores 4 health, granting regeneration for 5 seconds.

17. Create giant red mushrooms

The region is an excellent place for growing giant mushrooms. They are made by using bone meal on red or brown mushrooms. Destroying these mushrooms yields a variety of the mushrooms from which they are grown: red giant mushrooms produce a variety of red mushrooms, brown ones produce brown ones. This is an excellent option for growing mycelium and creating mushroom soup.

The End's endless darkness and large space are perfect for growing giant mushrooms!

Giant Mushrooms require a space volume of 7 x 7 x 6 to grow in complete darkness, so the Edge is more efficient in this regard than SkyBlock Island itself. Mushroom Soup restores 6 units and is produced with one cup, one brown mushroom and one red mushroom.

    Skyblock Walkthrough

      Use sneak mode to avoid falling off the edge. While moving, hold down the Shift key to enable sneak mode.

      Collect seedlings from the first tree. No saplings - no trees, so if you don't collect at least one sapling from your first tree, you'll have to start over. Break the leaves of the first tree to collect seedlings.

      Get wood from the first tree. After you collect a few saplings from the leaves, extract the wood from the tree by hand.

      Plant the sapling on the block of land in the far corner of the island. In the future, this will protect the tree from lava and prevent its loss (as well as apples and seedlings) from fire.

      • Increase your chances of catching saplings by using several blocks of dirt from the top layer to extend the platform around the bottom of the tree.
    1. Harvest wood and saplings after the tree matures. When the seedlings are mature, collect the seedlings from the leaves and then the wood itself. Plant the collected seedlings.

      Create a workbench. Once you have enough wood, create a workbench.

      • Leave two wooden blocks (don't turn them into planks) to create your first coal later.
    2. Craft a wooden pickaxe. Use some of the wood to create wooden planks and sticks. Then use the workbench to craft a wooden pickaxe.

      Create a 2x2 block pool of water. A pool can be created from two ice blocks in a chest. You should have enough soil to create a 2x2 block pool, but if necessary, the parts of the pool furthest from the lava can be covered with boards. This way you will get an endless source of water, since no matter how many buckets of water you remove from the pool, it will automatically replenish.

    3. Create a cobblestone generator. One of the easiest ways is to dig a hole 4 blocks long and deepen the second block to a depth of 2 blocks. Now pour a bucket of water into the end that is closest to the recessed part and place lava on the other end.

      • To create a simple cobblestone generator, use the following sequence of blocks (G = Earth, W = Water, R = Empty Space, L = Lava):
        • Z-V-P-P-L-Z
        • Z-P-Z-Z-P-Z
      • To create a more compact generator, use the following design: (G = earth block, R = empty block, B = cobblestone, W = water and L = lava)
        • P-P-V-B-L-Z
        • Z-V-V-Z-P-Z
        • Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z
    4. Continue mining cobblestones. Once you have collected enough cobblestones, extend the platform to the bottom of the island and collect the dirt, being careful not to destroy the cobblestone generator.

      • Note: If you create a cobblestone slab, you can double the surface area created with the same amount of raw materials. This method will also prevent mobs from appearing in dimly lit areas.
      • Note: The number of land blocks is limited. To avoid losing blocks of land, place a platform under the island that will catch everything that falls from above.
      • To do this, remove one block next to the cobblestone and pour a bucket of water into it, creating a waterfall that you can swim through.
      • Jump down and place 4 cobblestone blocks in a descending column/tower pattern. Restore your air supply, then jump back into the water and place one block perpendicularly at the bottom of the column directly under the hole you made earlier. Swim back to the surface.
      • In version 1.0 and above, animals spawn 24 blocks away from you, so you won't be able to use them as a source of food/resources. Build a mob spawner in a dark room to mine threads and make wool, and use the farm to create bread.
      • Leave a patch of grass until you create a farm, as you will need it to collect seeds and spawn farm animals. Grow grass on the ground to move later. Please note that in order for the animals to appear, you will need to build a platform covered with dirt at least 24 blocks from the main platform. Light it well to prevent hostile mobs from spawning. Lay out a 5x5 block (minimum) patch of dirt/grass and wait. Kill useless mobs (horses and donkeys are unusable since they require saddles, which are not in SkyBlock) so that useful ones will appear instead. Sheep are especially good because they can be harvested for wool (bed!) and lamb (food!).
      • Make sure the soil doesn't fall off the edge. Every block is important, because you won't be able to get more.
      • To get more iron, create an iron farm. To do this, build an artificial village so that residents can appear in it. After a sufficient number of inhabitants appear in the “village,” iron golems will begin to spawn to protect them. Kill iron golems to mine iron.

      Warnings

      • Mobs spawn 24 blocks away from the player, so light up the platform as it expands to prevent mobs from ruining your game.
      • You will not be able to sleep in Skyblock if you are playing on a server because there are other players playing Skyblock on it.
      • Keep your bucket safe, as you won't get another one.
      • You will not be able to continue playing if:
        • you will have no tree seedlings left;
        • you will have no grass seeds left;
        • you will lose too much land (no farm or trees);
        • you'll lose sand (no glass or cactus farm).
